Reaction of CuII salts with phenanthroline and oxalate (ox) or oxamate (oxm) gives [Cu(phen)(ox)(H2O)] · H2O or [Cu(phen)(oxm)(H2O)] · H2O complexes while direct treatment of CuII salts with oxalate or oxamate gives [NH4]2[Cu(ox)2] and [Cu(oxm)2(H2O)2] respectively. The X-ray structures of one example of each system, aquo-oxamato-phenanthroline-copper(II)-dihydrate and the polymeric ammonium-bis(aquo)-tetraoxalato-dicopper(II)-dihydrate, are reported.  相似文献

A series of protected and terminal dialkynes with extended pi-conjugation through the fused oligothienyl linker unit in the backbone, 2,5-bis(trimethylsilylethynyl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene 1a, 5,5'-bis(trimethylsilylethynyl)dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]thiophene 1b, 2,5-bis(ethynyl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene 2a, 5,5'-bis(ethynyl)dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]thiophene 2b, has been synthesized and characterised. The digold alkynyl complexes [(Ph3P)Au(C[triple bond]C)(C6H2S2)(C[triple bond]C)Au(PPh3)] 3a and [(Ph3P)Au(C[triple bond]C)(C8H2S3)(C[triple bond]C)Au(PPh3)] 3b have then been prepared by the reaction of two equivalents of Ph3PAuCl and a methanolic KOH solution of 1a and 1b, respectively. The complexes have been characterised spectroscopically. The crystal structures show that the gold centres adopt a linear two-coordinate geometry appropriate for Au(i) complexes. Within the crystals adjacent molecules are linked by Au...S intermolecular interactions in the range 3.48-3.89 A, but there are no short Au...Au contacts. The absence of Au...Au interactions in solution is confirmed by UV/visible absorption and emission spectroscopy, the spectra being dominated by ligand-centred pi-pi* interactions.  相似文献

Two molecular structures of the copper(II) complex, Cu(H(2)TETA), have been determined by X-ray crystallography. The Jahn-Teller distortion differs between the two structures; occurring either along the axis of the pendant acetate arms or across the macrocyclic ring. An analysis of deposited data from over one hundred copper(II) cyclam X-ray structures in the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) reveals that Jahn-Teller distortion across the ring is highly unusual for such compounds in the solid state. Novel chelators based on the piperazino/side-bridged cyclam have been prepared and copper(II) complexes formed. The single crystal X-ray structures of two copper(II) complexes, with either an ester or acid N-pendant arm, have been determined and in both cases the pendant arm is bound to the metal centre.  相似文献

New tris-iron(III) chelates of 3-hydroxy-4-pyridinone ligands derived from maltol (3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyrone) or ethylmaltol (2-ethyl-3-hydroxy-4-pyrone), including a variety of N-aryl (phenyl, 4'-tolyl, 4'-(n-butyl)phenyl, 4'-(n-hexyl)phenyl) and N-benzyl (4'-methylbenzyl, 4'-fluorobenzyl and 4'-(trifluoromethyl)benzylamine) substituents on the nitrogen atom of the pyridinone ring, have been prepared. Characterization by C,H,N elemental analysis and thermogravimetric measurements indicates that most of the complexes are obtained as hydrates of general formula ML3.xH2O. Structural characterization of these difficult to crystallize lipophilic complexes has been achieved by EXAFS spectroscopy. Solutions of iron(III) complexes of maltol, ethylmaltol, 1,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxy-4-pyridinone and 1-phenyl-2-methyl-3-hydroxy-4-pyridinone in methanol-water mixtures were also examined by EXAFS. Distances from the central atom to ligand atoms, within 6 A of the metal, have been determined in the solid and solution samples and the results show that the structure observed in the powder is maintained in solution. The local structure around the metal centre, bond distances and bond angles, does not change significantly with variable lipophilicity, thus indicating that ligands may be tailored according to specific needs without altering their chelation properties. EXAFS data analysis for this set of tris-iron(III) compounds illustrates the important contribution of both intra-ligand and inter-ligand multiple scattering pathways through the metal centre to a peak observed in the FT spectrum at twice the metal ligand distance (approximately 4 A). The present results demonstrate that EXAFS features at twice the metal-ligand distance are valuable in the assignment of molecular geometry and that location of hydration water molecules, by EXAFS analysis, is limited by the geometry of the complexes, in particular for those in which ligands containing phenyl rings are present.  相似文献

Europium complexes of a series of terpyridine-N-oxide ligands have been prepared and structurally characterised by crystallographic studies. While the addition of three equivalents of terpyridine-1-oxide or terpyridine-1,1'-bisoxide results in complexes with nine co-ordinate tricapped trigonal prismatic or monocapped square antiprismatic geometries, respectively, three equivalents of the terpyridine-1,1',1'-trisoxide yields an unexpected 8 co-ordinate geometry. Luminescence studies of the three complexes in acetonitrile show a typical europium emission spectra, dominated by the (5)D(0)-(7)F(2) transition. While no simple trend in the relative quantum yields could be ascertained, the terpyridine-1-oxide complex was observed to have the most intense luminescence for this set of complexes.  相似文献

The polyamino ligand 1,4,7-tris(2-aminoethyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (1) has been used to synthesise two new ligands by Schiff-base condensation with methyl sodium acetyl phosphonate to give ligand L and methyl sodium 4-methoxybenzoyl phosphonate to give ligand L1 in the presence of lanthanide ion as templating agent to form the complexes [Ln(L)] and [Ln(L1)](Ln = Y, La, Gd, Yb). Both ligands L and L1 have nine donor atoms comprising three amine and three imine N-donors and three phosphonate O-donors and form Ln(III) complexes in which the three pendant arms of the ligands wrap around the nine-coordinate Ln(III) centres. Complexes with Y(III), La(III), Gd(III) and Yb(III) have been synthesised and the complexes [Y(L)], [Gd(L)] and [Gd(L1)] have been structurally characterised. In all the complexes the coordination polyhedron about the lanthanide centre is slightly distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic with the two triangular faces of the prism formed by the macrocyclic N-donors and the phosphonate O-donors. Interestingly, given the three chiral phosphorus centres present in [Ln(L)] and [Ln(L1)] complexes, the three crystal structures reported show the presence of only one diastereomer of the four possible. 1H, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopic studies on diamagnetic [Y(L)] and [La(L)] and on paramagnetic [Yb(L)] complexes indicate the presence in solution of all the four different diastereomers in varying proportions. The stability of complexes [Y(L)] and [Y(L1)] in D2O in both neutral and acidic media, and the relaxivity of the Gd(III) complexes, have also been investigated.  相似文献

Reaction of NaBH4 with (tBuPOCOP)IrHCl affords the previously reported complex (tBuPOCOP)IrH2(BH3) (1) (tBuPOCOP = kappa(3)-C6H3-1,3-[OP(tBu)2]2). The structure of 1 determined from neutron diffraction data contains a B-H sigma-bond to iridium with an elongated B-H bond distance of 1.45(5) A. Compound 1 crystallizes in the space group P1 (Z = 2) with a = 8.262 (5) A, b = 12.264 (5) A, c = 13.394 (4) A, and V = 1256.2 (1) A(3) (30 K). Complex 1 can also be prepared by reaction of BH3 x THF with (tBuPOCOP)IrH2. Reaction of (tBuPOCOP)IrH2 with pinacol borane gave initially complex 2, which is assigned a structure analogous to that of 1 based on spectroscopic measurements. Complex 2 evolves H2 at room temperature leading to the borane complex 3, which is formed cleanly when 2 is subjected to dynamic vacuum. The structure of 3 has been determined by X-ray diffraction and consists of the (tBuPOCOP)Ir core with a sigma-bound pinacol borane ligand in an approximately square planar complex. Compound 3 crystallizes in the space group C2/c (Z = 4) with a = 41.2238 (2) A, b = 11.1233 (2) A, c = 14.6122 (3) A, and V = 6700.21 (19) A(3) (130 K). Reaction of (tBuPOCOP)IrH2 with 9-borobicyclononane (9-BBN) affords complex 4. Complex 4 displays (1)H NMR resonances analogous to 1 and exists in equilibrium with (tBuPOCOP)IrH2 in THF solutions.  相似文献

The synthesis, molecular structural characterisation and mesomorphic behaviour of lanthanidomesogens with the formula [LnL(LH)2 ][X]2 are reported. These mesogens were derived from ligands (LH- n ) formed by covalently linking the pro-mesogenic cholesterol segment with the N-(n-decyl)salicylaldimine core through either an even-parity (4-oxybutanoyloxy/6-oxyhexanoyloxy/8-oxyoctanoyloxy) or an odd-parity (5-oxypentano-yloxy) spacer. These ligands were designed based on the recently conceived concept of decoupling the anisometric segment from the metal-coordinating site by a flexible spacer to account for the stabilisation of nematic and/or smectic phases at lower temperatures. The even parity spacer ligands are polymesomorphic whereas the odd parity analogue exhibits only the chiral nematic phase. In contrast, the complexes display solely the smectic A phase indicating that the variation in the nature of lanthanide has no influence on the general phase behaviour of the complexes. The clearing temperatures of both the ligands and the complexes display an odd-even effect; the even members show relatively higher transition temperatures.  相似文献

The stoichiometric treatment of 2,6-dibenzylphenol (HOdbp) or 2,2"-dimethoxy-2,6-dibenzylphenol (HOdbpOMe) with n-butyllithium or sodium bis(trimethylsilyl)amide (the latter as a solution in THF) in Et2O or DME affords the dimeric alkali metal phenolates [{M(Odbp)(L)}2] (M = Li; L = Et2O (1), L = DME (2), M = Na; L = Et2O (5), L = DME (6)), [{Li(OdbpOMe)}2] (3) and [{M(OdbpOMe)(L)}2] (M = Li; L = DME (4), M = Na; L = THF (7), L = DME (8)). Complexes 3 and 7 exhibit -OdbpOMe methoxy coordination and all four sodium complexes (5-8) display pi-aryl contacts from one phenolate radial arm to each sodium centre. The attempted synthesis of {Na(odbp)}n by direct sodiation of HOdbp yields a small quantity of the 2-benzylphenolate [{Na(Ombp)(DME)}4] (9) (-Ombp = -OC6H4-2-CH2Ph), providing a rare example of benzyl C-C bond scission.  相似文献

The reaction of the ylide carbethoxymethylenetriphenylphosphorane (EPPY), Ph3PCHCOOEt, with mercury (II) halides has been investigated. The resulting dimeric mercury (II)-ylide complexes are isostructural and of the form [(EPPY)(HgX2)]2 where X is either bromine (1), chlorine (2), or iodine (3). These complexes have been characterised by spectroscopic techniques and X-ray diffraction. The ylide ligands have been shown to be C-coordinated to the mercury (II) atom.  相似文献

Reactions of the anionic gallium(i) heterocycle, [:Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)](2)}](-) (Ar = C(6)H(3)Pr(i)(2)-2,6), with two N,N-chelated zinc chloride complexes have yielded the compounds, [{Pr(i)(2)NC[N(Ar)](2)}ZnGa{[N(Ar)C(H)](2)}] and [(tmeda)Zn{Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)](2)}}(2)] which contain the first crystallographically characterised Zn-Ga bonds.  相似文献

The complexation of protactinium(V) by oxalate was studied by X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), density functional theory (DFT) calculations, capillary electrophoresis coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (CE-ICP-MS) and solvent extraction. XAS measurements showed unambiguously the presence of a short single oxo-bond, and the deduced structure agrees with theoretical calculations. CE-ICP-MS results indicated the formation of a highly charged anionic complex. The formation constants of PaO(C(2)O(4))(+), PaO(C(2)O(4))(2)(-), and PaO(C(2)O(4))(3)(3-) were determined from solvent extraction data by using protactinium at tracer scale (C(Pa) < 10(-10) M). Complexation reactions of Pa(V) with oxalate were found to be exothermic with relatively high positive entropic variation.  相似文献

Two new compounds containing multidentate chelating organic residues of N-(phophonomethyl)iminodiacetic acid (H4pmida), [M(pyr)(H2O)4][M2(Hpmida)2(pyr)(H2O)2]·2(H2O) (where pyr=pyrazine and M=Co2+ or Ni2+ for I and II, respectively) have been synthesised and structurally characterised by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis and solid-state 31P MAS NMR. The compounds contain discrete binuclear anionic [M2(Hpmida)2(pyr)(H2O)2]2− units in which one pyrazine ligand bridges two M2+ cations which are completely trapped inside three five-membered chelate rings formed by the Hpmida3− ligands. These moieties close pack in the ac plane via a series of strong and highly directional O–HO hydrogen bonds leading to the formation of anionic layers. One-dimensional cationic coordination polymers are placed in-between and strongly hydrogen-bonded to these layers. The magnetic properties of these two materials are also reported.  相似文献

Addition of excesses of N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) IEt2Me2, IiPr2Me2 or ICy (IEt2Me2 = 1,3-diethyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene; IiPr2Me2 = 1,3-diisopropyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene; ICy = 1,3-dicyclohexylimidazol-2-ylidene) to [HRh(PPh3)4] (1) affords an isomeric mixture of [HRh(NHC)(PPh3)2] (NHC = IEt2Me2 (cis-/trans-2), IiPr2Me2 (cis-/trans-3), ICy (cis-/trans-4) and [HRh(NHC)2(PPh3)] (IEt2Me2(cis-/trans-5), IiPr2Me2 (cis-/trans-6), ICy (cis-/trans-7)). Thermolysis of 1 with the aryl substituted NHC, 1,3-dimesityl-4,5-dihydroimidazol-2-ylidene (IMesH2), affords the bridging hydrido phosphido dimer, [{(PPh3)2Rh}2(μ-H)(μ-PPh2)] (8), which is also the reaction product formed in the absence of carbene. When the rhodium precursor was changed from 1 to [HRh(CO)(PPh3)3] (9) and treated with either IMes (=1,3-dimesitylimidazol-2-ylidene) or ICy, the bis-NHC complexes trans-[HRh(CO)(IMes)2] (10) and trans-[HRh(CO)(ICy)2] (11) were formed. In contrast, the reaction of 9 with IiPr2Me2 gave [HRh(CO)(IiPr2Me2)2] (cis-/trans-12) and the unusual unsymmetrical dimer, [(PPh3)2Rh(μ-CO)2Rh(IiPr2Me2)2] (13). The complexes trans-3, 8, 10 and 13 have been structurally characterised.  相似文献

Benzoyl azides, ArC(O)N3, 2, (Ar = phenyl or substituted phenyl), react with [Pd2Cl2(dppm)2], 1, [dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane] with the formation of novel [Pd2Cl2(mu-NC(O)Ar)(dppm)2], 3, benzoylnitrene complexes that were structurally characterised by multinuclear magnetic resonance and IR spectroscopy and, in several instances, by single crystal X-ray diffraction. As shown by crystallographic studies, the C2P4Pd2 rings adopt extended twist-boat conformations with methylene groups bending towards the bridging benzoylimido moieties. X-ray diffraction studies have revealed the chiral nature of the imido complexes, the chiral element being the propeller-like C2P4Pd2 ring. Structural data accumulated on complexes 3 such as short C-N distances (1.32 A), elongated C=O bonds (1.30 A) as well as the outstandingly high barrier to internal rotation around the N-C(O) linkage (88.3 kJ mol(-1)) are in line with extensive ppi-ppi interaction between the bridging nitrogen and the carbonyl carbon atoms. Theoretical calculations indicate an electron shift from the dimer towards the apical nitrogen atom, which, in turn, facilitates the donation of electrons towards the carbonyl moiety. To elucidate the structure-reactivity relationship of benzoyl azides towards 1, crystallographic and solution IR spectroscopic studies were carried out on a series of para-substituted benzoyl azides. The reaction obeys the Hammett equation. The large positive value of the reaction constant indicates that the azides act as electrophiles in the reaction studied. The enhanced reactivity of 2-nitrobenzoyl azide has been attributed to a decreased conjugation of the phenyl and carbonyl moieties in this reagent.  相似文献

Dialuminiummacrocycles based on bisglyoximato moieties were prepared and their coordination chemistry with Fe(II) and Pd(II) was investigated. The bridging aluminium centers were supported by several types of tetradentate diphenoxide diamine ligands. The nature of the ancillary ligands bound to aluminium was found to affect the overall geometry and symmetry of the metallomacrocycles. Enantiopure, chiral diphenoxide ligands based on the (R,R)-trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane backbone afforded cleanly one metallomacrocycle isomer. The size and electronic properties of remote substituents on aluminium-bound ligands affected the binding mode and electronic properties of the central iron. A structurally characterized iron complex shows trigonal prismatic coordination mode, with phenoxide bridges between iron and aluminium. Increasing the size of the phenoxide substituents led to square bipyramidal coordination at iron. Employing p-NO(2)- instead of p-tBu-substituted phenoxide as supporting ligands for aluminium caused a 0.27 V positive shift of the Fe(III)/Fe(II) reduction potential. These results indicate that the present synthetic approach can be applied to a variety of metallomacrocycles based on bisglyoximato motifs to affect the chemistry at the central metal.  相似文献

New polypyridyl osmium(II) complexes [Os(κ3-tptz)(EPh3)2Cl]BF4 (E = P, 1; As, 2) with group 15 donor ligands are reported. Structural studies on the representative complex [Os(κ3-tptz)(PPh3)2Cl]BF4 revealed formation of helical racemates with sidewise stacking of right and left-handed anti-parallel helical strands. Salient structural features and DNA binding studies along with binding constant [6.6 × 103 M−1] and site size [0.12] of the complex 1 with calf thymus (ct) DNA by absorption spectroscopy are described.  相似文献
