A new high-spin isomer in 145Sm was observed by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy with the reaction 122Sn(27Al,3np) at 127 MeV performed at the Nordball multi-detector array in Roskilde. The excitation energy of the isomer was determined to be E x= 11147 keV, and using the generalized centroid-shift method its half-life was found to be T 1/2= (7.4 ± 1.0) ns. The decay of the 17 μs isomer of 133Sb was re-investigated experimentally. It was produced by thermal neutron induced fission of 241Pu. Its detection is based on time correlation between fission fragments selected by the LOHENGRIN spectrometer at ILL (Grenoble), and the γ-rays, and conversion electrons from the isomer. The interpretation of the level scheme is based on shell model calculations, where empirical two-body matrix elements were employed. The good agreement between theory and experiment suggests that the isomer is the 21/2+ member of the 2p-1h πg 7/2ν(f 7/2 h 11/2 −1) configuration. High-spin states in 183Os have been studied by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Two isomers with I π= ((43/2)) and (43/2)+ have been identified at excitation energies of E x = 5.068 and 5.168 MeV. The half-lives are determined as T 1/2= 27 ± 3 and 24 ± 2 ns. Received: 22 December 1997  相似文献

New neutron-deficient isotopes 188,189Po have been produced in the complete fusion reaction of 52Cr ions with a 142Nd target at the velocity filter SHIP. The evaporation residues were separated in-flight and subsequently identified on the basis of α-γ and α-conversion electron coincidence measurements and of α-α position and time correlations. In 189Po a ground state to ground state α decay with Eα1= 7540(20) keV, T1/2= 5(1) ms and two fine structure α-decays at Eα2= 7264(15) keV and Eα3= 7316(15) keV have been observed. In 188Po (T1/2= 400+200 −150μs) a ground state to ground state α decay at Eα= 7915(25) keV and a fine structure α decay at Eα= 7350(40) keV have been found. Improved data on the α-decay of 189Bi were obtained. Received: 15 October 1999  相似文献

The half-lives of the platinum isotopes 189,191,197Pt and of the 4-day isomer in 195mPt have been measured with high precision using the photoactivation technique. The γ-ray activity was counted over several half-lives with a high-purity germanium detector. The measured half-lives are: T1/2(189Pt) = 12.1 ± 1.5 h; T1/2(191Pt) = 2.862 ± 0.007 d; T1/2(197Pt) = 19.96 ± 0.05 h; T1/2(195mPt) = 4.0104 ± 0.0047 d. Received: 13 September 1999  相似文献

Lifetimes of excited states in 110Cd have been measured by the Doppler shift attenuation method in the reaction (α,2nγ) at E α= 25 MeV. Lifetime values for 8 states and lifetime limits for 3 states were obtained. The band structures of 110Cd have been interpreted in terms of a modified version of the interacting boson model (IBM + 2 q.p.). The calculations explain well the excitation energies and electromagnetic transition probabilities up to J π= 16+, except for the 10+ 1 state. The structural features are discussed in terms of collective and two quasiparticle excitations. Received: 20 March 1999 / Revised version: 28 May 1999  相似文献

High-spin states in 88Mo were studied using the Gammasphere germanium detector array in conjunction with the Microball CsI(Tl) charged-particle detector system. Three γ-ray cascades with dynamic moments of inertia showing similar characteristics to superdeformed rotational bands observed in the neighbouring A= 80 region have been identified and assigned to the nucleus 88Mo. The quadrupole moment of the strongest band, deduced by the Residual Doppler Shift Method, corresponds to a quadrupole deformation of β2≈ 0.6. This confirms the superdeformed nature of this band. The experimental data are interpreted in the framework of total routhian surface calculations. All three bands are assigned to two-quasi-particle proton configurations at superdeformed shape. High-spin states of 155Gd were populated by using the 154Sm(α,3nγ)155Gd reaction at E α= 33 MeV. γ-γ coincidence, E γ singles, excitation function, and the DCO ratios were measured. we have identified three intermediate bands with ΔI= 2 feeding the positive yrast band. The bands are interpreted as such candidate bands that are mixed with the negative-parity ground state band. This observation can provide a plausible explanation for unusually large population of the positive-parity yrast band observed in a recent Coulomb excitation. Received: 2 November 1999  相似文献

High-spin states in 117I have been studied via the 103Rh(18O, 4n) reaction at a beam energy of 85 MeV. Many deformed rotational bands built on the proton h11/2, g7/2, and g9/2 orbitals have been identified. Among them, an unfavoured rotational band and a quasi-gamma band based on the h11/2 state have been newly observed. Moreover, positive-parity states above Iπ= 35/2+ reported in the previous work have been rearranged. Several energetically favoured states have been assigned to noncollective oblate states based on various quasiparticle configurations with β2≈ 0.18–0.19 and γ= 60°. Received: 1 March 1999  相似文献

The neutron g 9/2 single-particle state in 57Ni has been unambiguously identified in a combined measurement of the linear polarization, angular distribution, and angular correlation of γ rays following the fusion-evaporation reaction 28Si(32S,2pn)57Ni at a beam energy of 90 MeV. The linear polarization was measured with a Euroball cluster detector and a prototype of an encapsulated six-fold segmented hexaconical Ge-detector. The spin of the 3701 keV level in 57Ni was confirmed to be I= 9/2 and its parity determined to be positive. Received: 24 September 1999 / Revised version: 22 October 1999  相似文献

Production yields and β-decay half-lives (T 1/2) of very neutron-rich indium isotopes were determined at CERN/ISOLDE using isobaric selectivity of a resonance-ionization laser ion-source. Beta-delayed neutron (βdn) multiscaling measurements have yielded improved T 1/2 for 206(6) ms 132In, 165(3) ms 133In and 141(5) ms 134In. With 92(10) ms 135In, a new r-process nuclide has been identified which acts as an important “waiting point” in the In isotopic chain for neutron densities in the range n n≃ 1024-1026 n/cm3, where the r-matter flow has already passed the A≃ 130 abundance peak region. The lifetime of the first 2+ state in the nucleus 124Ba has been measured by γ-γ coincidence recoil-distance Doppler shift method. The 109Ag(19F, 4n)124Ba reaction at a beam energy of 75 MeV was employed to populate excited states in 124Ba. The mean lifetime was determined to be 275(12) ps using the differential decay curve method. The value of B(E2;01 +→ 21 +) for 124Ba deduced from the lifetime is in reasonable agreement with the prediction of the proton-neutron interacting boson model(IBM-2) without Pauli blocking effect. High-spin states of odd-odd 168Lu were observed up to 18ħ for the first time using the 159Tb(13C, 4nγ)168Lu reaction at E 13C= 58.5 MeV. γ-γ coincidence, E γ singles, excitation function, and the DCO ratios were measured. Two rotational bands with signature splitting were populated, among which the lower-energy band is identified as π 7/2+[404] ⊗ν 5/2+[642] in view of alignment and energy systematics. High-spin states of 117Xe were investigated by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques via the reaction of 28Si bombarding a 92Mo target at beam energies of 100-120 MeV. A positive-parity rotational band decaying into the yrast negative-parity band by a series of enhanced E1 transitions was observed for the first time, implying the existence of octupole correlations in 117Xe. The B(E1) values increase with spin. The νd5/2 band was firmly established up to 27/2+ and the B(M1)/B(E2) ratios were extracted from the relative intensities of γ-rays in this band. The previously known νh11/2 and νg7/2 [413]5/2+α=−1/2 bands were confirmed and extended up to high spins and two bandcrossings are observed in the latter at ħω=0.33 and 0.44 MeV, respectively. The bandcrossings and configurations of these bands are discussed by TRS and CSM calculations. In a γ–γ–t measurement, the 11/2 and 7/2 levels were identified as two isomers with half-lives of 59.4±20 ns and 16.5±8.0 ns, respectively. The quadrupole moment for the πg 9/2⊗νh 11/2 band in the 130>Pr nucleus has been measured using the Doppler-shift attenuation method. A centroid shift analysis was carried out and a value of Q0=6.1±0.4 eb, corresponding to an axial prolate deformation of β2=0.35(3), has been determined. This is the first direct experimental confirmation of the deformation-driving character of the πg 9/2 orbital in an odd-odd nucleus in the A≃135 superdeformed region. In this work we have identified and studied the decay of two new microsecond isomers 19/2- and 23/2+ in 131Sb. This neutron-rich nucleus was produced by thermal neutron-induced fission of 241Pu. The detection is based on time correlation between fission fragments selected by the LOHENGRIN spectrometer at ILL (Grenoble) and the γ-rays or conversion electrons from isomers. These new data on high-spin states complete the level scheme previously obtained from β-decay. A large fraction of the members of the πg 7/2ν(h 11/2 -1 d 3/2 -1) and πg 7/2νh 11/2 -2 multiplets are now known and were compared with a multi-particle shell model calculation. High spin states of 146Eu were studied by in-beam gamma ray spectroscopic techniques using 140Ce(10B,4n)146Eu and 139La(13C,6n)146Eu reactions. The level scheme was established up to 10MeV. A new high spin isomer with 10ns half life was found. Configurations of yrast states were understood by a weak coupling of f7/2 neutron to those of 145Eu. Received: 2 November 1999  相似文献

High spins states in 99Rh were populated via the 66Zn(37Cl, 2p2n)99Rh reaction at an incident beam energy of 130 MeV. Seventeen new transitions have been observed in the present study and the level scheme has now been extended up to a spin of J∼ 25ħ and an excitation energy of about E x∼ 10 MeV. The observation of a positive parity E2 cascade based on the 9/2+ isomeric level is suggestive of collective behaviour in this nucleus up to high spins. Spherical shell model (within restricted model space) and Cranked shell model calculations were performed to obtain an insight into the observed level structure. The new collective band observed up to a spin of J∼ 25ħ is suggested to be based on (πg 9/2 3) ⊗ (νg 7/2 2) quasi-particle excitations. High-spin states of 160Lu have been studied through the 144Sm( 19F, 3n) reaction. The previously known πh 11/2⊗υi 13/2 yrast band is extended from I π = 21- to 25- and a four quasiparticle band with configuration πh 11/2[523]7/2 -⊗υh 9/2[521]3/2 -⊗ (υi 13/2)2 is reported.
