The adsorption behaviors of CO2 and CH4 on new siliceous zeolites JSR and NanJSR (n = 2, 8, 16) were simulated using the Grand Canonical Monte Carlo method. The adsorption isotherms of CO2 became higher with an increase in the Na+ number at a low pressure range (<150 kPa), whereas the isotherms showed a crossover with increasing pressure and the adsorption amount became smaller at a high pressure range (>850 kPa). With an increase in Na+ number, the pore volume decreased as the pore space was occupied by increasing Na+ ions. Additionally, two energy peaks on the interaction energy curves implied that CO2 was adsorbed on two active sites. On the other hand, the adsorption amount of CH4 decreased with an increase in the Na+ number and only one energy peak was observed. Adsorption isotherms were well fitted with the Langmuir and Freundlich equations up to 1000 kPa and the adsorption affinity of CO2 on Na16JSR zeolite was highest. The adsorption capacities of CO2 in the studied zeolites were up to 38 times higher than those of CH4. Diffusion constants of CO2 and CH4 decreased with an increase in the adsorbed amount and Na+ number. Considering the adsorbed amount, adsorption selectivity and affinity, zeolites JSR with a low Na+ number (JSR and Na2JSR) is a good candidate for a pressure swing adsorption in the separation of CO2/CH4 mixture whereas JSR zeolites with high Na+ ratios (Na16JSR and Na8JSR) may be a better selection for a vacuum swing adsorption.  相似文献

It is shown that palladium–cobalt oxide–cerium catalyst deposited on cordierite catalyzes the reduction of nitrogen(II) oxide with carbon monoxide, and cobalt–iron catalysts in simultaneous reduction of NO + N2O with C3-C4 alkanes retained high activity in the presence of water vapor and sulfur dioxide. The Pd-Co3O4/cordierite catalyst exceeds the Pt-Co3O4/codierite catalyst in the conversion of NO and CO in the reaction mixture CO + NO + O2 + H2O + SO2. Modification of the Pd-Co3O4/cordierite with cerium oxide considerably increases its sulfur resistance.  相似文献

Interfacial void-free Matrimid polyimide (PI) membranes filled with zeolites were prepared by introducing 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine (TAP). TAP enhanced the contact of zeolite particles with polyimide chains presumably by forming hydrogen bonding between them. The threshold amount of TAP, needed to depress totally the void formation, varied with zeolite type in the order of zeolite 4A≈13X<NaY<5A<NaSZ390HUA. It was also observed that the threshold amount of TAP could be related with the number of external hydroxyl groups of zeolite particles. The void-free PI/zeolite 13X/TAP membrane showed the higher gas permeability for He, N2, O2, CO2 and CH4 with a little expense of permselectivity compared with the PI/TAP membrane, while the PI/zeolite 4A/TAP membrane showed the lower permeability but higher permselectivity. The facilitation ratios of the zeolite-filled PI membranes were strongly affected by the pore size of zeolites. In addition, the molecular sieving effect of zeolites seemed to take place when the kinetic diameter of gas penetrants approached the pore size of zeolites.  相似文献

Environmental concerns and oil price rises and dependency promoted strong research in alternative fuel sources and vectors. Fischer-Tropsch products are considered a valid alternative to oil derivatives having the advantage of being able to share current infrastructures. As a renewable source of energy, synthesis gas obtained from biomass gasification presents itself as a sustainable alternative. However, prior to hydrocarbon conversion, the bio-syngas must be conditioned, which includes the removal of carbon dioxide for subsequent sequestration and capture. A pressure swing adsorption cycle was developed for the removal and concentration of CO2 from the bio-syngas stream. Activated carbon was chosen as adsorbent. The simulation results showed that it was possible to produce a (H2 + CO) product with a H2/CO stoichiometric ratio of 2.14 (suitable as feed stream for the Fischer-Tropsch reactor) and a CO2 product with a purity of 95.18%. A CO2 recovery of 90.3% was obtained. A power consumption of 3.36 MW was achieved, which represents a reduction of about 28% when compared to a Rectisol process with the same recovery.  相似文献

Summary.  Hydrazinium(+2) fluoroarsenate(III) fluoride was prepared by the reaction of hydrazinium(+2) fluoride and liquid arsenic trifluoride. N2H6AsF4F is stable at 273 K, but decomposes slowly at room temperature. N2H6AsF4F crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnn2 with a = 774.0(2) pm, b = 1629.2(4) pm and c = 436.6(1) pm; V = 0.5506(3) nm3, Z = 4 and d c  = 2.461 g cm−3. The structure consists of N2H6 2+ cations, AsF4 anions, and F anions and is interconnected by a hydrogen bonding network. Distorted trigonal-bipyramidal AsF4 units are very weakly interconnected and form chains along the b axis. Bands in the Raman spectrum are assigned to the vibrations of N2H6 +2 cations and AsF4 anions. Corresponding author. In this study, NaX synthetic zeolite was modified by following the conventional cation exchange method at 70°C. 82, 81, 79 and 48% of sodium were exchanged with Li+, K+, Ca2+ and Ce3+, respectively. Thermal analysis data obtained by TG/DSC was used to evaluate the dehydration behavior of the zeolites. The strongest interaction with water and the highest dehydration enthalpy (ΔH) value were found for Li-exchanged form and compared with the other forms. The temperature required for complete dehydration increased with decreasing cation size (cation size: K+>Ce3+>Ca2+>Na+>Li+). CO2 adsorption at 5 and 25°C was also studied and the virial model equation was used to analyze the experimental data to calculate the Henry’s law constant, K o and isosteric heat of adsorption at zero loading Q st. K o values decreased with increasing temperature and the highest Qst was obtained for K rich zeolite. It was observed that both dehydration and CO2 adsorption properties are related to cation introduced into zeolite structure.  相似文献

Electrolytes of 1 M blend salts (LiPF6 and tetraethylammonium tetrafluoroborate, Et4NBF4) have been investigated in supercapacitor battery system with composite LiMn2O4 and activated carbon (AC) cathode, and Li4Ti5O12 anode. The results obtained with the blend salts electrolytes are compared with those obtained with cells build using standard 1 M LiPF6 dissolved in ethylene carbonate + dimethyl carbonate + ethyl (methyl) carbonate (EC + DMC + EMC, 1:1:1 wt.%) as electrolyte. It is found that the blend salts electrolyte performs better on both electrochemical and galvanostatic cycling stability, especially cycled at 4 C rate. When the concentration of LiPF6 is 0.2 M and Et4NBF4 is 0.8 M, the capacity retention of the battery is 96.23% at 4 C rate after 5,000 cycles, much higher than that of the battery with standard 1 M LiPF6 electrolyte, which is only 62.35%. These results demonstrate that the blend salts electrolyte can improve the galvanostatic cycling stability of the supercapacity battery. Electrolyte of 0.2 M LiPF6 + 0.8 M Et4NBF4 in EC + DMC + EMC (1:1:1 wt.%) is a promising electrolyte for (LiMn2O4 + AC)/Li4Ti5O12.  相似文献

Thin nylon-SiO2 membranes made by sol–gel SiO2 coating of a nylon weaving were impregnated in a second step with an aqueous carbonic anhydrase solution. The biocatalytic hybrid membranes obtained were applied to the capture of CO2 from a N2–CO2 gas mixture containing 10% CO2, under a total pressure ≈ 1 atm. The CO2 permeance of these membranes was at least similar to those previously reported for liquid membranes. When impregnated with a 0.2 mg mL−1 enzyme solution in a pH ≈ 8 NaHCO3 buffer, the permeance of a nylon-SiO2 membrane was multiplied by a factor ≈ 3 when the buffer molarity was increased from 0.1 to 1 M. By comparison, this permeance only increased by a factor ≈ 1.3 without any enzyme in the same buffers. The permeance was also higher with the enzyme than without it: respectively ≈3.7 10−8 and ≈4.7 10−9 mol \textm\textmembrane - 2 {\text{m}}_{\text{membrane}}^{{^{ - 2} }} s−1 Pa−1 with and without enzyme, in a 1 M NaHCO3 buffer. A maximum permeance was observed for an enzyme concentration of ≈0.2 mg mL−1, possibly due to a competition between the H+ ions produced from CO2,aq by the enzyme and the H+ captured by the buffer. Besides, when the SiO2–CO2 contact was enhanced by the membrane architecture, SiO2 improved the CO2 permeance. The influence of an in situ CaCO3 deposit was also investigated and it improved the CO2 permeance when no enzyme was added.  相似文献

Vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) for CO2 capture has attracted much research effort with the development of the novel CO2 adsorbent materials. In this work, a new adsorbent, that is, pitch-based activated carbon bead (AC bead), was used to capture CO2 by VPSA process from flue gas. Adsorption equilibrium and kinetics data had been reported in a previous work. Fixed-bed breakthrough experiments were carried out in order to evaluate the effect of feed flowrate, composition as well as the operating pressure and temperature in the adsorption process. A four-step Skarstrom-type cycle, including co-current pressurization with feed stream, feed, counter-current blowdown, and counter-current purge with N2 was employed for CO2 capture to evaluate the performance of AC beads for CO2 capture with the feed compositions from 15–50% CO2 balanced with N2. Various operating conditions such as total feed flowrate, feed composition, feed pressure, temperature and vacuum pressure were studied experimentally. The simulation of the VPSA unit taking into account mass balance, Ergun relation for pressure drop and energy balance was performed in the gPROMS using a bi-LDF approximation for mass transfer and Virial equation for equilibrium. The simulation and experimental results were in good agreement. Furthermore, two-stage VPSA process was adopted and high CO2 purity and recovery were obtained for post-combustion CO2 capture using AC beads.  相似文献

Ion-exchange with different cations (Na+, NH4 +, Li+, Ba2+ and Fe3+) was performed in binderless 13X zeolite pellets. Original and cation-exchanged samples were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis coupled with mass spectrometry (inert atmosphere), X-ray powder diffraction and N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms at 77 K. Despite the presence of other cations than Na (as revealed in TG-MS), crystalline structure and textural properties were not significantly altered upon ion-exchange. Single component equilibrium adsorption isotherms of carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) were measured for all samples up to 10 bar at 298 and 348 K using a magnetic suspension balance. All of these isotherms are type Ia and maximum adsorption capacities decrease in the order Li > Na > NH4–Ba > Fe for CO2 and NH4–Na > Li > Ba for CH4. In addition to that, equilibrium adsorption data were measured for CO2/CH4 mixtures for representative compositions of biogas (50 % each gas, in vol.) and natural gas (30 %/70 %, in vol.) in order to assess CO2 selectivity in such scenarios. The application of the Extended Sips Model for samples BaX and NaX led to an overall better agreement with experimental data of binary gas adsorption as compared to the Extended Langmuir Model. Fresh sample LiX show promise to be a better adsorption than NaX for pressure swing separation (CO2/CH4), due to its higher working capacity, selectivity and lower adsorption enthalpy. Nevertheless, cation stability for both this samples and NH4X should be further investigated.  相似文献

Although zeolites such as NaY and 13X adsorb CO2 much more than CO, the adsorption amount of CO2 and CO can be reversed if the zeolites are modified with CuCl. When zeolite NaY or 13X is mixed with CuCl and heated, high CO adsorption selectivity and capacity can be obtained. Isotherms show the adsorbents have CO capacity much higher than CO2. This is because CuCl has dispersed onto the surface of the zeolites to form a monolayer after the heat treatment and the monolayer dispersed CuCl can provide tremendous Cu(I) to selective adsorb CO and inhibit the CO2 adsorption. The monolayer dispersion of CuCl is confirmed by XRD and EXAFS studies. The loading of CuCl on the zeolites has a threshold below which the CuCl forms monolayer after heating and crystalline phase of CuCl can not be detected by XRD. An adsorbent of CuCl/NaY with CuCl content closed to the monolayer capacity shows very high CO selective adsorbability for CO2, N2, H2 and CH4. At temperature higher than room temperature, the adsorbent has even better CO selectivity for CO2. Using the adsorbent, a single-stage 4 beds PSA process, working at 70°C and 0.4 MPa to 0.013 MPa, can obtain CO product with purity >99.5% and yield >85%.  相似文献

A facile hydrothermal strategy was first proposed to synthesize flower-like Co(OH)2 hierarchical microspheres. Further physical characterizations revealed that the flower-like Co(OH)2 microspherical superstructures were self-assembled by one-dimension nanobelts with rich mesopores. Electrochemical performance of the flower-like Co(OH)2 hierarchical superstructures were investigated by cyclic voltammgoram, galvanostatic charge–discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 3 M KOH aqueous electrolyte. Electrochemical data indicated that the flower-like Co(OH)2 superstructures delivered a specific capacitance of 434 F g−1 at 10 mA cm−2 (about 1.33 A g−1), and even kept it as high as 365 F g−1 at about 5.33 A g−1. Furthermore, the SC degradation of about 8% after 1,500 continuous charge–discharge cycles at 5.33 A g−1 demonstrates their good electrochemical stability at large current densities.  相似文献

New poly (vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoro propylene) (PVDF-HFP)/CeO2-based microcomposite porous polymer membranes (MCPPM) and nanocomposite porous polymer membranes (NCPPM) were prepared by phase inversion technique using N-methyl 2-pyrrolidone (NMP) as a solvent and deionized water as a nonsolvent. Phase inversion occurred on the MCPPM/NCPPM when it is treated by deionized water (nonsolvent). Microcomposite porous polymer electrolytes (MCPPE) and nanocomposite porous polymer electrolytes (NCPPE) were obtained from their composite porous polymer membranes when immersed in 1.0 M LiClO4 in a mixture of ethylene carbonate/dimethyl carbonate (EC/DMC) (v/v = 1:1) electrolyte solution. The structure and porous morphology of both composite porous polymer membranes was examined by scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis. Thermal behavior of both MCPPM/NCPPM was investigated from DSC analysis. Optimized filler (8 wt% CeO2) added to the NCPPM increases the porosity (72%) than MCPPM (59%). The results showed that the NCPPE has high electrolyte solution uptake (150%) and maximum ionic conductivity value of 2.47 × 10−3 S cm−1 at room temperature. The NCPPE (8 wt% CeO2) between the lithium metal electrodes were found to have low interfacial resistance (760 Ω cm2) and wide electrochemical stability up to 4.7 V (vs Li/Li+) investigated by impedance spectra and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), respectively. A prototype battery, which consists of NCPPE between the graphite anode and LiCoO2 cathode, proves good cycling performance at a discharge rate of C/2 for Li-ion polymer batteries.  相似文献

We have determined the parameters of the Arrhenius equation (E, log A) for reactions between \textNO2+ {\text{NO}}_2^{+} ions and C3-C8 alkanes in HNO3–93 wt.% H2SO4 solutions at 277–353 K, and we have also estimated the activation parameters E j , log A j for secondary and tertiary C—H bonds of these alkanes. We show that the following compensation relations are satisfied: E = 2.3R βlog A + C with isokinetic temperature β = 360 ± 65 K, and also E j =2.3Rβ j log A j  + C j , for secondary C—H bonds, β2 =300 ± 60, and for tertiary C—H bonds, β3 =310 ± 50.  相似文献

Dry potassium-based sorbents were prepared by impregnation with potassium carbonate on supports such as activated carbon (AC), TiO2, Al2O3, MgO, CaO, SiO2 and various zeolites. The CO2 capture capacity and regeneration property of various sorbents were measured in the presence of H2O in a fixed bed reactor, during multiple cycles at various temperature conditions (CO2 absorption at 50–100 °C and regeneration at 130–400 °C). The KAlI30, KCaI30, and KMgI30 sorbents formed new structures such as KAl(CO3)2(OH)2, K2Ca(CO3)2, K2Mg(CO3)2, and K2Mg(CO3)2·4(H2O), which did not completely convert to the original K2CO3 phase at temperatures below 200 °C, during the CO2 absorption process in the presence of 9 vol.% H2O. In the case of KACI30, KTiI30, and KZrI30, only a KHCO3 crystal structure was formed during CO2 absorption. The formation of active species, K2CO3·1.5H2O, by the pretreatment with water vapor and the formation of the KHCO3 crystal structure after CO2 absorption are important factors for absorption and regeneration, respectively, even at low temperatures (130–150 °C). In particular, the KTiI30 sorbent showed excellent characteristics with respect to CO2 absorption and regeneration in that it satisfies the requirements of a large amount of CO2 absorption (87 mg CO2/g sorbent) without the pretreatment with water vapor, unlike KACI30, and a fast and complete regeneration at a low temperature condition (1 atm, 150 °C). In addition, the higher total CO2 capture capacity of KMgI30 (178.6 mg CO2/g sorbent) than that of the theoretical value (95 mg CO2/g sorbent) was explained through the contribution of the absorption ability of MgO support. In this review, we introduce the CO2 capture capacities and regeneration properties of several potassium-based sorbents, the changes in the physical properties of the sorbents before/after CO2 absorption, and the role of water vapor and its effects on CO2 absorption.  相似文献

An amine‐appended hierarchical Ca‐A zeolite that can selectively capture CO2 was synthesized and incorporated into inexpensive membrane polymers, in particular polyethylene oxide and Matrimid, to design mixed‐matrix membranes with high CO2/CH4 selectivities. Binary mixture permeation testing reveals that amine‐appended mesoporous Ca‐A is highly effective in improving CO2/CH4 selectivity of polymeric membranes. In particular, the CO2/CH4 selectivity of the polyethylene oxide membrane increases from 15 to 23 by incorporating 20 wt % amine‐appended Ca‐A zeolite. Furthermore, the formation of filler/polymer interfacial defects, which is typically found in glassy polymer‐zeolite pairs, is inhibited owing to the interaction between the amine groups on the external surface of zeolites and polymer chains. Our results suggest that the amine‐appended hierarchial Ca‐A, which was utilized in membrane fabrication for the first time, is a good filler material for fabricating a CO2‐selective mixed‐matrix membrane with defect‐free morphology.  相似文献

The TPR spectra of the conversion of 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol (MBOH) on mixed ZrO2-Al2O3 oxides with different ZrO2 contents were obtained by desorption mass spectrometry. It was shown that MBOH is dehydrated to 3-methyl-3-buten-1-yne on the acid centers (H0 ≥ –3.3) and is decomposed to acetylene and acetone at the basic centers (H ≤ +6.8) of this oxide. The formation of acid centers in the amorphous structure of ZrO2-Al2O3 at 1.5 < Al/Zr < 3is explained by the Tanabe rule.  相似文献

Three selected materials have been prepared and shaped as cathode of half cells using the proton-conducting electrolyte BaCe0.9Y0.1O3 − δ (BCY10): two perovskite compounds, Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3 − δ (BSCF) and La0.6Sr0.4Fe0.8Co0.2O3 − δ (LSFC), and the praseodymium nickelate Pr2NiO4 + δ (PRN) having the K2NiF4-type structure. The electrochemical properties of these compounds have been studied under zero current conditions (two-electrode cell) and under polarization (three-electrode cell). Their measured area-specific resistances were about 1–2 Ω cm2 at 600 °C. Under direct current polarization, it appears that the three compounds show almost similar values of current densities at 625 °C; however, at lower temperatures, BSCF appears to be the most efficient cathode material.  相似文献

The reaction between CO2 and aqueous amines to produce a charged carbamate product plays a crucial role in post-combustion capture chemistry when primary and secondary amines are used. In this paper, we report the low energy negative-ion CID results for several anionic carbamates derived from primary and secondary amines commonly used as post-combustion capture solvents. The study was performed using the modern equivalent of a triple quadrupole instrument equipped with a T-wave collision cell. Deuterium labeling of 2-aminoethanol (1,1,2,2,-d4-2-aminoethanol) and computations at the M06-2X/6-311++G(d,p) level were used to confirm the identity of the fragmentation products for 2-hydroxyethylcarbamate (derived from 2-aminoethanol), in particular the ions CN, NCO and facile neutral losses of CO2 and water; there is precedent for the latter in condensed phase isocyanate chemistry. The fragmentations of 2-hydroxyethylcarbamate were generalized for carbamate anions derived from other capture amines, including ethylenediamine, diethanolamine, and piperazine. We also report unequivocal evidence for the existence of carbamate anions derived from sterically hindered amines (Tris(2-hydroxymethyl)aminomethane and 2-methyl-2-aminopropanol). For the suite of carbamates investigated, diagnostic losses include the decarboxylation product (−CO2, 44 mass units), loss of 46 mass units and the fragments NCO (m/z 42) and CN (m/z 26). We also report low energy CID results for the dicarbamate dianion (O2CNHC2H4NHCO2) commonly encountered in CO2 capture solution utilizing ethylenediamine. Finally, we demonstrate a promising ion chromatography-MS based procedure for the separation and quantitation of aqueous anionic carbamates, which is based on the reported CID findings. The availability of accurate quantitation methods for ionic CO2 capture products could lead to dynamic operational tuning of CO2 capture-plants and, thus, cost-savings via real-time manipulation of solvent regeneration energies.  相似文献

One of the methods for the synthesis of peroxy-radical condensates is the condensation at liquid nitrogen temperature of an H2+O2 mixture dissociated in an electrical discharge at low pressure. Peroxy-radical condensates are thought to contain substantial quantities of higher hydrogen peroxides H2O3 and H2O4. The present work investigates the influence of experimental parameters on the synthesis of peroxy-radical condensates from an H2+O2 mixture, analyses the relevant literature, and recommends the optimal experimental conditions for the synthesis. The synthesis is carried out in a U-tube electrical discharge reactor (inner diameter ∼15 mm), immersed in liquid nitrogen, at rather low pressure (0.5–1 Torr). The maximum conversion of initial O2 into higher hydrogen peroxides was observed at a composition of initial gas mixture of 66.7% H2 + 33.3% O2.  相似文献
