In this paper, some nonparametric approaches of density function estimation are developed when censoring indicators are missing at random. A conditional mean score based estimator and a mean score estimator are suggested, respectively. The two estimators are proved to be asymptotically normal and uniformly strongly consistent. The bandwidth selection problem is also discussed. A simulation study is conducted to compare finite-sample behaviors of the proposed estimators.  相似文献

This paper develops estimation approaches for nonparametric regression analysis with surrogate data and validation sampling when response variables are measured with errors. Without assuming any error model structure between the true responses and the surrogate variables, a regression calibration kernel regression estimate is defined with the help of validation data. The proposed estimator is proved to be asymptotically normal and the convergence rate is also derived. A simulation study is conducted to compare the proposed estimators with the standard Nadaraya-Watson estimators with the true observations in the validation data set and the complete observations, respectively. The Nadaraya-Watson estimator with the complete observations can serve as a gold standard, even though it is practically unachievable because of the measurement errors.  相似文献

This article concerded with a semiparametric generalized partial linear model (GPLM) with the type Ⅱ censored data. A sieve maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) is proposed to estimate the parameter component, allowing exploration of the nonlinear relationship between a certain covariate and the response function. Asymptotic properties of the proposed sieve MLEs are discussed. Under some mild conditions, the estimators are shown to be strongly consistent. Moreover, the estimators of the unknown parameters are asymptotically normal and efficient, and the estimator of the nonparametric function has an optimal convergence rate.  相似文献

This paper investigates the estimation in a class of single-index varying coefficient regression model when some covariates are contaminated with measurement errors. A bias-corrected least square procedure based on the observed data is proposed. By replacing the nonparametric single index part with a local linear approximation, an iterative algorithm for estimating the index parameter is proposed. More importantly, a special case is identified in which the naive procedure provides consistent estimates for the single index parameters. Large sample properties of the proposed estimators are established. The finite sample performance of the proposed estimators are evaluated by simulation studies.  相似文献

Hazard function estimation is an important part of survival analysis. Interest often centers on estimating the hazard function associated with a particular cause of death. We propose three nonparametric kernel estimators for the hazard function, all of which are appropriate when death times are subject to random censorship and censoring indicators can be missing at random. Specifically, we present a regression surrogate estimator, an imputation estimator, and an inverse probability weighted estimator. All three estimators are uniformly strongly consistent and asymptotically normal. We derive asymptotic representations of the mean squared error and the mean integrated squared error for these estimators and we discuss a data-driven bandwidth selection method. A simulation study, conducted to assess finite sample behavior, demonstrates that the proposed hazard estimators perform relatively well. We illustrate our methods with an analysis of some vascular disease data.  相似文献

The parameter estimation and the coefficient of contamination for the regression models with repeated measures are studied when its response variables are contaminated by another random variable sequence. Under the suitable conditions it is proved that the estimators which are established in the paper are strongly consistent estimators.  相似文献

This article considers generalized partially linear models when the linear covariate is measured with additive error. We propose estimators of parameter and nonparametric function by using local linear regression, the SIMEX technique, and generalized estimating equation. The asymptotic normality of the estimators of the parameter, and bias and variance of the estimators of the nonparametric component are derived under appropriate assumptions. In addition, the generalization to clustered measurements is discussed. The approaches are used to the analysis of data from the Framingham Heart Study. A simulation experiment is conducted for an illustration.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the estimation of semi-varying coefficient models when the nonlinear covariates are prone to measurement error. With the help of validation sampling, we propose two estimators of the parameter and the coefficient functions by combining dimension reduction and the profile likelihood methods without any error structure equation specification or error distribution assumption. We establish the asymptotic normality of proposed estimators for both the parametric and nonparametric parts and show that the proposed estimators achieves the best convergence rate. Data-driven bandwidth selection methods are also discussed. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the finite sample property of the estimation methods proposed.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the statistical inference for the partially liner varying coefficient model with measurement error in the nonparametric part when some prior information about the parametric part is available. The prior information is expressed in the form of exact linear restrictions. Two types of local bias-corrected restricted profile least squares estimators of the parametric component and nonparametric component are conducted, and their asymptotic properties are also studied under some regularity conditions. Moreover, we compare the efficiency of the two kinds of parameter estimators under the criterion of Lo?ner ordering. Finally, we develop a linear hypothesis test for the parametric component. Some simulation studies are conducted to examine the finite sample performance for the proposed method. A real dataset is analyzed for illustration.  相似文献

For nonnegative measurements such as income or sick days, zero counts often have special status. Furthermore, the incidence of zero counts is often greater than expected for the Poisson model. This article considers a doubly semiparametric zero-inflated Poisson model to fit data of this type, which assumes two partially linear link functions in both the mean of the Poisson component and the probability of zero. We study a sieve maximum likelihood estimator for both the regression parameters and the nonparametric functions. We show, under routine conditions, that the estimators are strongly consistent. Moreover, the parameter estimators are asymptotically normal and first order efficient, while the nonparametric components achieve the optimal convergence rates. Simulation studies suggest that the extra flexibility inherent from the doubly semiparametric model is gained with little loss in statistical efficiency. We also illustrate our approach with a dataset from a public health study.  相似文献

This article considers a semiparametric varying-coefficient partially linear regression model with current status data. The semiparametric varying-coefficient partially linear regression model which is a generalization of the partially linear regression model and varying-coefficient regression model that allows one to explore the possibly nonlinear effect of a certain covariate on the response variable. A Sieve maximum likelihood estimation method is proposed and the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimators are discussed. Under some mild conditions, the estimators are shown to be strongly consistent. The convergence rate of the estimator for the unknown smooth function is obtained and the estimator for the unknown parameter is shown to be asymptotically efficient and normally distributed. Simulation studies are conducted to examine the small-sample properties of the proposed estimates and a real dataset is used to illustrate our approach.  相似文献

A partially linear model is considered when the responses are missing at random. Imputation, semiparametric regression surrogate and inverse marginal probability weighted approaches are developed to estimate the regression coefficients and the nonparametric function, respectively. All the proposed estimators for the regression coefficients are shown to be asymptotically normal, and the estimators for the nonparametric function are proved to converge at an optimal rate. A simulation study is conducted to compare the finite sample behavior of the proposed estimators.  相似文献

Jittering estimators are nonparametric function estimators for mixed data. They extend arbitrary estimators from the continuous setting by adding random noise to discrete variables. We give an in-depth analysis of the jittering kernel density estimator, which reveals several appealing properties. The estimator is strongly consistent, asymptotically normal, and unbiased for discrete variables. It converges at minimax-optimal rates, which are established as a by-product of our analysis. To understand the effect of adding noise, we further study its asymptotic efficiency and finite sample bias in the univariate discrete case. Simulations show that the estimator is competitive on finite samples. The analysis suggests that similar properties can be expected for other jittering estimators.  相似文献

Semiparametric reproductive dispersion nonlinear model (SRDNM) is an extension of nonlinear reproductive dispersion models and semiparametric nonlinear regression models, and includes semiparametric nonlinear model and semiparametric generalized linear model as its special cases. Based on the local kernel estimate of nonparametric component, profile-kernel and backfitting estimators of parameters of interest are proposed in SRDNM, and theoretical comparison of both estimators is also investigated in this paper. Under some regularity conditions, strong consistency and asymptotic normality of two estimators are proved. It is shown that the backfitting method produces a larger asymptotic variance than that for the profile-kernel method. A simulation study and a real example are used to illustrate the proposed methodologies. Situations occur frequently in which the mean residual life (mrl) functions of two populations must be ordered. For example, if a mechanical device is improved, the mrl function for the improved device should not be less than that of the original device. Also, mrl functions for medical patients should often be ordered depending on the status of concomitant variables. This paper proposes nonparametric estimators of the bivariate mrl function under a mrl ordering. The estimators are shown to be asymptotically unbiased, strongly uniformly consistent and weakly convergent to a bivariate Gaussian process. The estimators are shown to be the projections, in a sense to be made precise, of the empirical mrl function onto an appropriate convex set of mrl functions. In the one-sample problem, the new estimators dominate the empirical mrl function in terms of risk with respect to a wide class of loss functions.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is two fold. First, we investigate estimation for varying coefficient partially linear models in which covariates in the nonparametric part are measured with errors. As there would be some spurious covariates in the linear part, a penalized profile least squares estimation is suggested with the assistance from smoothly clipped absolute deviation penalty. However, the estimator is often biased due to the existence of measurement errors, a bias correction is proposed such that the estimation consistency with the oracle property is proved. Second, based on the estimator, a test statistic is constructed to check a linear hypothesis of the parameters and its asymptotic properties are studied. We prove that the existence of measurement errors causes intractability of the limiting null distribution that requires a Monte Carlo approximation and the absence of the errors can lead to a chi-square limit. Furthermore, confidence regions of the parameter of interest can also be constructed. Simulation studies and a real data example are conducted to examine the performance of our estimators and test statistic.  相似文献

This article considers a semiparametric varying-coefficient partially linear regression model. The semiparametric varying-coefficient partially linear regression model which is a generalization of the partially linear regression model and varying-coefficient regression model that allows one to explore the possibly nonlinear effect of a certain covariate on the response variable.A sieve M-estimation method is proposed and the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimators are discussed. Our main object is to estimate the nonparametric component and the unknown parameters simultaneously. It is easier to compute and the required computation burden is much less than the existing two-stage estimation method.Furthermore, the sieve M-estimation is robust in the presence of outliers if we choose appropriate ρ( ).Under some mild conditions, the estimators are shown to be strongly consistent;the convergence rate of the estimator for the unknown nonparametric component is obtained and the estimator for the unknown parameter is shown to be asymptotically normally distributed.Numerical experiments are carried out to investigate the performance of the proposed method.  相似文献
