一种含乙氧羰基偶氮苯液晶三嵌段共聚物的合成与表征   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1

利用原子转移自由基聚合(ATRP),合成了一种含有乙氧羰基偶氮苯的液晶三嵌段共聚物,并合成了一种同样偶氮生色团的均聚物进行对比.均聚物(PC6ET)由偶氮单体甲基丙烯酸{6-[4-(4-乙氧羰基苯基偶氮)苯氧基]己酯}(C6ET)的ATRP反应制备.嵌段共聚物的合成,先通过聚环氧乙烷(PEO)和过量的2-溴异丁酰溴、三乙胺反应,得到双端大分子引发剂(Br-PEO-Br);再进一步通过C6ET的ATRP反应,得到了三嵌段共聚物(PC6ET-PEO-PC6ET).热分析、偏光显微镜观察和X射线衍射实验证实,合成的均聚物和嵌段共聚物均为近晶型液晶聚合物.三嵌段共聚物的液晶清亮点比均聚物的稍低.  相似文献

以4,4'-二羟基联苯、4-硝基苯胺、二溴己烷、甲基丙烯酸、氯代乙醇为原料合成了单体甲基丙烯酸[5(4'-甲氧基联苯4氧基)戊基]酯(M5MPP)、4-硝基偶氮苯基甲基-2-甲基丙烯酸酯基乙胺(MMEANB),并完成了单体的聚合和共聚,得到了含有非线性光学活性基团(NLO)的侧链液晶高分子,对其结构进行了表征.结果表明,均聚物PM5MPP及共聚物(M5MPP/MMEANB)属双向液晶高分子;PMMEANB属于非晶性高分子.证实了分子间吸电子与给电子基团相互作用有利于提高液晶高分子热稳定性,共聚物(M5MPP/MMEANB)具有较宽的液晶相温度范围.  相似文献

通过改变侧链中柔性间隔基的长度,合成了一系列含有两个手性中心的侧链液晶(甲基)丙烯酸酯类聚合物.红外、核磁和GPC表征各中间体、单体及聚合物的结构和分子量.通过DSC和热台偏光显微镜系统地研究了单体和聚合物的液晶态织构.结果表明,含有六个碳的柔性间隔基的丙烯酸酯类聚合物表现为近晶SA和手性近晶SC^*液晶相.  相似文献

用热台偏光显微镜和DSC法研究了含苯甲酸-4-甲氧基苯酯介晶基元和偶氮苯光色基元侧链共聚硅氧烷(PSⅡ)的液晶性。将非介晶基元并入液晶均聚物PSⅡ-1,共聚物PSⅡ-2、PSⅡ-3的液晶态类型不变,PSⅡ-4仅存在近晶相,PSⅡ-5~8无双折射现象,保持共聚物液晶性的最低含介晶基元单体的极限摩尔含量为80%.在液晶共聚物中,非介晶基组分含量增加时,其Tm、ΔHm和ΔSm降低;非介晶组分在10mol%时,Ti、ΔHi和ΔSi具有最小值。  相似文献

为了深入理解乙烯基二联苯单体自由基聚合过程中的手性传递,进行了手性单体(+)-2-[(S)-异丁氧羰基-5-(4′-己氧基苯基)苯乙烯、非手性单体2-丁氧羰基-5-(4′-己氧基苯基)苯乙烯的均聚反应及它们二者的共聚反应,探讨了聚合温度和溶剂性质对手性单体均聚物旋光活性、手性单体含量对共聚物旋光活性以及聚合反应溶剂的超分子手性对共聚物旋光活性的影响.研究发现,降低聚合温度、采用液晶性反应介质有利于得到旋光度大的聚合物;少量手性单体的引入即可诱导共聚物形成某一方向占优的螺旋构象,比旋光度随手性单体的含量增加呈线性增长;在胆甾相液晶中制备的非手性单体聚合物不具有光学活性.这些结果表明,该类乙烯基二联苯聚合物具有动态螺旋构象,其光学活性主要依赖于主链的立构规整度和侧基不对称原子的手性.  相似文献

以自由基聚合方法,合成了一系列含有三个苯环通过酯键相联的液晶性单体及其聚合物.在这类新的液晶高分子中,刚性液晶基元不通过柔性间隔基而直接竖挂在聚甲基丙烯酸酯大分子主链上.这些高分子有很高的玻璃化转变温度,表明其分子链刚性较大,因而代表了一类新的刚性链侧链型液晶高分子.它们的液晶行为用DSC、偏光显微镜和X-光衍射进行了表征.发现所有单体和聚合物均为向列型热致性液晶.  相似文献

以末端含有炔基的2-十二烷基三硫代碳酸酯-2-甲基-丙酸丙炔醇酯(DMPE)为链转移剂(CTA),2,2′偶氮二异丁腈(AIBN)为引发剂,在N,N-二甲基甲酰胺(DMF)中,利用可逆加成-断裂链转移(RAFT)聚合反应制备了分子链末端带炔基的均聚物聚(N-丙烯酰基-L-缬氨酰甲胺)(PAVMA—C帒CH),然后与叠氮基封端的聚乙二醇单甲醚(MPEG-N3)进行"click"偶合反应,制备具有温敏特性的光学活性嵌段聚合物MPEG-b-PAVMA.利用1H-NMR和体积排阻色谱(SEC)等表征了所合成的均聚物和共聚物的结构和分子量分布.1H-NMR结果表明所合成的嵌段共聚物中MPEG和PAVMA链段的重复单元数分别为115和55.利用紫外分光光度计测试了均聚物及嵌段聚合物的温敏特性,结果表明均聚物和共聚物在水中的低临界溶解温度(LCST)分别为6.5℃和19.5℃.比旋光度测试结果表明,均聚物和共聚物具有旋光性,同时相比于单体,其旋光能力有所降低.圆二色谱法(CD)的测试结果显示,均聚物和嵌段共聚物在220nm和197nm附近分别有一个较弱的正Cotton效应峰和一个较强的负Cotton效应峰,并且在水溶液中主要以无规的二级构象结构存在。  相似文献

采用溶液聚合法合成了一系列N-异丙基丙烯酰胺(NIPAM)与甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸丁酯或甲基丙烯酸丁酯的无规共聚物,用浊度观测法和光散射法测定了不同共聚物水溶液的温敏相转变行为.结果表明:所得共聚物的低临界溶解温度(LCST)均低于均聚物PNIPAM的,酯类单体的结构和含量对共聚物的LCST有显著影响,其中酯基上的烷基对共聚物LCST的影响能力大于丙烯酸酯α位上的烷基,前者对增大共聚物的疏水性有更大贡献.通过NIPAM与特定丙烯酸酯单体进行无规共聚可以合成转变温度低于PNIPAM均聚物且具有预设LCST数值的水溶性温敏聚合物.  相似文献

研究了聚丙烯酸酯侧基上引入三氟乙烯基芳基醚结构单元的方法. 首先, 合成了含有三氟乙烯基芳基醚侧基的丙烯酸酯单体, 然后通过原子转移自由基聚合实现了该单体的均聚和无规共聚, 得到了含有三氟乙烯基芳基醚侧基的聚丙烯酸酯聚合物, 聚合物的分子量分布较窄. 通过控制共聚投料比, 可以得到具有不同含量三氟乙烯基芳基醚侧基的无规共聚物.  相似文献

用热台偏光显微镜、X射线衍射和DSC研究了含胆甾介晶基元和偶氮苯光色基元侧链共聚硅氧烷(PSI)的液晶性.将非介晶基元并入液晶均聚物,所得共聚物的液晶态类型不变,仍显示近晶型织构,在PSI共聚物中,保持液晶性的含介晶基元单体的最低极限组成为60mol%.在液晶性存在的范围内,共聚物的清亮点由130℃升至170℃,液晶共聚物的热稳定性随非介晶组分含量的增加而增强.  相似文献

The syntheses of three methacrylate monomers with cinnamate ester side-chains and of a further monomer with a corresponding cinnamide side-chain are described. Two of the monomers, with isomeric structures, were thermotropic liquid crystals. Although the clearing points were very similar the crystal melting points differed by 8°C. One compound also exhibited a monotropic smectic phase, behavior not shown by its isomer. The other two monomers were not liquid crystalline. The monomers were polymerized by free radical polymerization, both as homopolymers and as copolymers with methyl methacrylate. In the case of one of the mesogenic ester monomers, copolymers with a cyanophenyl benzoate monomer were also prepared. Three of the four monomers formed thermotropic liquid crystalline homopolymers and the copolymers with the benzoate monomer were also liquid crystalline. The monomers were considered as photoactive components of polymeric liquid crystals. As a preliminary investigation of their photochemistry, copolymers with methyl methacrylate were prepared and irradiated in solution with a broad-band source. Under these conditions two of the materials show a facile photo-Fries rearrangement of the aryl cinnamate ester group. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Several novel mesogenic spiro-orthoester monomers such as 1,6,10-trioxaspiro[4,5]decanes 4 , containing biphenyl mesogens at the C-8 positions of the five- and six-membered spirocyclic ring, through the alkylene spacers of different lengths were prepared by condensation reaction of the corresponding biphenyl mesogenic 1,3-propanediol 3 with 2,2-diethoxytetrahydrofuran, with 50–75% yields. Through cationic double ring-opening polymerization, carried out with boron trifluoride etherate as an initiator (5 mol % vs. monomer) in bulk at 150°C, spiro-orthoester monomers 4 afforded a novel class of side-chain thermotropic LC polymers with a poly(ether ester) as the main chain 8 . The liquid-crystalline properties of the spiro-orthoester monomers and the resulting polymers were examined by differential scanning calorimetry and optical polarized microscopy. A series of side-chain liquid crystal (LC) polysiloxanes were synthesised with Poly(methylhydrogeno)siloxane, 4?-(undec-10-enoyloxy) biphenyl – 4 – yl 4- (trifluoromethyl) benzoate (Mth) and a chiral nematic (N*) LC monomer 1-allyl 10-(cholesteryl)-decanedioate (Mch). The chemical structures and LC properties of the monomers and polymers were characterised by FTIR, 1H-NMR, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, POM and X-ray diffractometer. Mch is monotropic N* LC. The homopolymer derived from monomer Mch is enantiotropic N* LC. Monomer Mth is a smectic A liquid crystal. The copolymers derived from Mch and Mth are N* LCs. The temperatures at which 5% weight loss occurred are greater than 300°C for all the fluoro-containing polymers, and the residue weights of the samples at 600°C increased slightly as the content of trifluoromethyl mesogens increased in the polymers. The glass transition temperatures of the polymers increased as trifluoromethyl mesogens increased, too. The N*–I phase transition temperatures show a negative deviate from ideal or linear behaviour. The values of the enthalpy changes for the cholesteryl containing polymers are rather low and this is attributed to the biaxiality of cholesteryl moiety which tends to reduce the change in the orientational order at the N*–I transition. Compared to the monomers, the polymers show wider mesophase region.  相似文献

A series of optically pure mesogenic ester precursors, and the malolactonate monomers containing mesogenic alcohols obtained from them were prepared and polymerized to homopolymers and copolymers. The liquid-crystalline properties of the precursors, monomers and polymers were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, polarized light microscopy and wide angle X-ray diffraction. The liquid-crystalline properties of the chiral mesogenic precursors and monomers were only slightly influenced by the chemical structure, configuration and the alkyl spacer length of the mesogenic alcohol substituent of the ester. The precursor, 1-[6-(4'-hexyloxy-4-biphenylyl)oxyhexyl] hydrogen (S)-O-mesylmalate (V-(S)-6) formed smectic E and smectic A phases on melting, while the monomer, 6-(4'-hexyloxy-4-biphenylyl)oxyhexyl (R)-malolactonate (II-(R)-6) showed only a crystal-isotropic phase transition. In contrast, the homopolymer of the latter exhibited a chiral smectic C phase. Copolymers from 2-(4'-hexyloxy-4-biphenylyl)oxyethyl (R)-malolactonate (II-(R)-2) also formed chiral smectic C phases.  相似文献

以4,4-′(α,ω-辛二酰氧)二苯甲酰氯(M1)、2,5-双[4-′(对癸氧基苯基)苯甲酰氧基]对苯二酚(M2)和顺式-4,4′-双(4-羟基苯基偶氮)二苯并-18-冠-6(M3)为单体,通过溶液共缩聚反应,合成了一系列新的含X-型二维液晶基元和顺式-4,4′-双(4-羟基苯基偶氮)二苯并-18-冠-6冠醚环的主链型液晶共聚酯.单体1(M1)由对羟基苯甲酸和辛二酰氯,通过酯化和取代反应制备,单体2(M2)由2,5-二羟基苯醌和对癸氧基苯基苯甲酰氯通过酯化和还原反应制备,单体3(M3)由顺式-二氨基二苯并-18-冠-6和苯酚通过重氮化和偶联反应制备.共聚酯的分子量不高,[η]在0.30~0.39之间.单体的化学结构通过IR、UV1、H-NMR、MS和元素分析等方法确证.共聚酯的外观为黄色粉状固体,除共聚酯CP9外,室温下不溶于CHCl3和THF溶剂.共聚酯的性质采用GPC、[η]、DSC、TG、WAXD和POM等方法进行了研究,发现所有的共聚酯加热到各自的熔融温度以上都能形成液晶态,在液晶态可以观察到近晶相和向列相的典型织构.共聚酯的熔融温度(Tm)和各向同性温度(Ti)随共聚酯分子中顺式-4,4′-双(4-羟基苯基偶氮)二苯并-18-冠-6用量的改变呈规律性变化.WAXD研究进一步证实了共聚酯的液晶性.  相似文献

Several new side‐chain liquid crystalline (LC) polysiloxanes and elastomers ( IP ‐ VIP ) bearing fluorinated mesogenic units and crosslinking mesogens were synthesized by a one‐step hydrosilylation reaction with poly(methylhydrogeno)siloxane, a fluorine‐containing LC monomer 4′‐undec‐10‐enoyloxy‐biphenyl‐4‐yl 4‐fluoro‐benzoate and a crosslinking LC monomer 4′‐(4‐allyloxy‐benzoxy)‐biphenyl‐4‐yl 4‐allyloxy‐benzoate. The chemical structures and LC properties of the monomers and polymers were characterized by use of various experimental techniques such as FTIR, 1H‐NMR, EA, TGA, DSC, POM and XRD. The effect of crosslinking mesogens on mesomorphic properties of the fluorinated LC polymers was studied as well. The obtained polymers and elastomers were soluble in many solvents such as toluene, tetrahydrofuran, chloroform, and so forth. The temperatures at which 5% weight loss occurred (Td) were greater than 250°C for all the polymers, and the weight of residue near 600°C increased slightly with increase of the crosslinking mesogens in the fluorinated polymer systems. The samples IP , IIP , IIIP and IVP showed both smectic A and nematic phases when they were heated and cooled, but VP and VIP exhibited only a nematic mesophase. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of polymers increased slightly with increase of crosslinking mesogens in the polymer systems, but the mesophase–isotropic phase transition temperature (Ti) and smectic A–nematic mesophase transition temperature (TS‐N) decreased slightly. It suggests that the temperature range of the mesophase became narrow with the increase of crosslinking mesogens for all the fluorinated polymers and elastomers. In XRD curves, the intensity of sharp reflections at low angle decreased with increase of crosslinking mesogens in the fluorinated polymers systems, indicating that the smectic order derived from fluorinated mesogenic units should be destroyed by introduction of more crosslinking mesogens. Comb-like polymers with polyacrylamide main chains and three types of lipophilic biphenyl side chains have been synthesized and their thermotropic behaviour has been determined. All the polymers exhibit two smectic mesophases as a function of temperature, but the nature of the smectic mesophases is governed by the nature of the substituent R of the biphenyl core. For R = H, the polymers exhibit a double layer, ordered, tilted smectic Si2 and a double layer, disordered, tilted smectic Sc2. For R = CN, the polymers exhibit a double layer, disordered, tilted smectic Sc2 and a double layer, disordered, perpendicular smectic SA2. For R = O-CH2-CH(CH3)-C2H5, the polymers exhibit a double layer, ordered, tilted smectic Sf2 and a double layer, disordered, tilted smectic Sc2, these two structures being chiral when the substituent R is chiral. Comparison of the thermotropic behaviour of the polyacrylamide polymers with that of polymers with the same mesogenic cores but different main chains shows the high smectogenic power of the polyacrylamide skeleton.  相似文献

The synthesis of methacrylate esters of 4-cyanophenyl-(4-(ω-hydroxyalkyloxy)) cinnamates, with spacer lengths of 2 and 6 methylene units and the synthesis of the corresponding acrylate ester with a spacer of 2 methylene units are described. The methacrylate monomers were polymerized by free radical polymerization, both as homopolymers and as copolymers with the analogous benzoate monomer of spacer length 6. The acrylate ester could not be polymerized successfully under the same reaction conditions. Polymers were characterized by NMR spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermo-optic observations. Of the monomers prepared, only the cinnamate with a hexamethylene spacer shows a mesophase, seen on supercooling of the melt. All of the polymers prepared were liquid crystalline, with smectic behavior predominating in the polymethacrylates with the longer spacer group. A narrow nematic region is seen just below the clearing temperature with a range of 3–9°C, nematic character is increased in the copolymer series with the degree of incorporation of the cinnamate monomer with the spacer group of length 2.  相似文献

The scope for the study of the synthesis and properties of liquid crystalline (LC) block copolymers is briefly outlined. While there are many approaches to the synthesis of LC block copolymers, the use of azo macroinitiators is very versatile and allows one to produce diverse block copolymer architectures. Azo macroinitiators are prepared by cationic or promoted cationic polymerization of tetrahydrofuran (1) or cyclohexene oxide (2), and are then used to initiate the free-radical polymerization of various methacrylates 3,4 or acrylates 5–9 containing mesogenic azobenzene or biphenyl units thereby yielding block copolymers. The AB or ABA block copolymers are microphase-separated and form smectic and/or nematic mesophases similar to the respective LC homopolymers.  相似文献

The synthesis of side chain liquid crystalline polysiloxanes containing oligooxyethylene spacers and ( S )-2-methylbutyl 4-\[(4-oxybiphenyl-4-yl)carbonyloxy]-3-fluorobenzoate mesogenic side groups is presented. Differential scanning calorimetry, optical polarizing microscopy and X-ray diffraction measurements reveal liquid crystalline properties for all synthesized monomers and polymers. All three precursor olefinic monomers reveal cholesteric and smectic A phases. The olefinic monomer which contains two oligooxyethylene units in the spacer is the only one which reveals a twist grain boundary A phase and a blue phase, besides the cholesteric and smectic A phases. All three polysiloxanes present enantiotropic smectic A and chiral smectic C phases. The mesomorphic behaviours of the monomers and polymers are compared with those of the corresponding monomers and polymers without the lateral fluoro substituent. The results seem to demonstrate that incorporating a lateral fluoro substituent in the mesogenic cores of the monomers affects not only the mesophase thermal stability, but also the nature of the mesophases formed. However, incorporating a lateral fluoro substituent in the mesogenic cores of the polymers affects only the thermal stability of the mesophases formed. The lateral fluoro substituent has a more profound effect on the mesomorphic behaviour for the monomers than that for the polymers.  相似文献
