Saturating superconvergence sum rules inNγ→Δπ scattering byN andΔ, we are able to relate the (isoscalar) dipole magnetic moment \(\tilde \mu _\Delta\) and the quadrupole electric moment \(\tilde Q_\Delta\) of the isobarΔ to the electric charge \(\tilde Z_\Delta\) and the dipole magnetic momentμ N of the nucleonN. The numerical results are: \(\tilde \mu _\Delta \equiv \mu _{\Delta ^ + } + \mu _{\Delta ^0 } = 3.26\) (in unitse/2M)=2.48 (in unitse/2m), and \(\tilde Q_\Delta \equiv Q_{\Delta ^ + } + Q_{\Delta ^0 } = 0.050\) (in unitse/M 2)=0.029 (in unitse/m 2), whereM(m) is the mass ofΔ(N). Neglecting the pion mass and takingM=m,μ n /μ p =?2/3, we get theSU 6 result μΔ+=μ p .  相似文献

CP violation in partial-decay-rate asymmetries are examined for some two-body baryonic decays of \(B_d^0 - \bar B_d^0 \) system. We discuss two feasible experimental circumstances: the symmetrice + e ? collisions (i) on theZ 0 resonance to produce incoherent \(B_d^0 \bar B_d^0 \) states, and (ii) just above the ?(4S) resonance to produceC=even \(B_d^0 \bar B_d^0 \) states. Using the quark-diagram scheme, we estimate the branching ratios of those decays, and the numbers ofb \(\bar b\) pairs needed for testing theCP-violating effects for 3σ signature. We find that the promising channels may beB d 0 , \(\bar B_d^0 \to p\bar p\) , \(\Delta ^ + \bar \Delta ^ - \) , \(p\bar \Delta ^ - \) , \(\Delta ^ + \bar p\) , \(n\bar n\) , \(\Delta ^0 \bar \Delta ^0 \) , \(n\bar \Delta ^0 \) , \(\Delta ^0 \bar n\) , \(\Sigma _c^ + \bar \Sigma _c^ - \) , \(\Lambda _c^ + \bar \Lambda _c^ - \) , \(\Sigma _c^ + \bar \Lambda _c^ - \) , \(\Lambda _c^ + \bar \Sigma _c^ - \) , \(\Sigma _c^0 \bar \Sigma _c^0 \) , \(\Xi _c^0 \bar \Xi _c^0 \) , which should be interesting for experimental observation.  相似文献

We study \(e^ + e^ - \to \tilde e^ + \tilde e^ - \) together with \(\tilde e^ \pm \) decay emphasizing the importance of neutralino mixing in thet-channel at energies above theZ 0 resonance. This illustrated in three different mixing scenarios. Formulae for \(e^ + e^ - \to \bar \tilde v_e \tilde v_e \) are also given.  相似文献

Dynamic stabilization of the helicalm=1 instability was studied in the linear high-β screw pinch ISAR III (T i ≈50 to 500eV;n e ≈5·1016 cm?3; β≧0.5). The experimentally determined growth rates ω i (0.5 to 3·106 s?1) and wavelengths (100 to 200 cm) of these modes are about the same as in a toroidal screw pinch and both agree well with theory. Two methods of dynamic stabilization were investigated. In both cases the stabilizing effects were better than expected from existing theory. In the first method an axially uniform oscillating field \(\tilde B_{zo} \) ·sin (ω s t) was superposed on the quasi-steadyB zo field (ω s i ). Them=1 mode is stabilized and a stabilization condition \(\tilde B_{zo} /B_{zo} \gtrsim 2\omega _i /\omega _s \) holds. This stabilizing effect is very likely caused by inertial forces produced by enforcedm=0,k=0 oscillations of the plasma column. When working in resonance with the natural plasma oscillations, it is easier to satisfy the above condition. In the second method oscillating currents \(\tilde I_{zo} \) · sin (ω s t) were added to the axial plasma currentI zo to study the stabilization by dynamic shear (ω s i ). Magnetic probe measurements showed that the \(\tilde I_z \) flows in the dilute plasma outside the dense plasma column. The measured skin depths and resistivities are larger than those expected from classical theory. Nevertheless, a reduction of the growth of them=1 mode occurred which was larger the more closely \(\tilde I_z \) flowed alongside the plasma column, giving a stabilization condition \(\tilde I_{zo} /I_{zo} > \omega _s /(5\omega _i )\) .  相似文献

Antilambda production is studied inK ? p interactions at 32 GeV/c. Both total and differential cross sections are presented. The inclusive \(\bar \Lambda \) production cross section amounts to 109±7 μb. A remarkable energy dependence is observed, σ( \(\bar \Lambda \) ) increasing by a factor of four between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Thep 2 distribution exhibits an exponential fall-off with a slope of 3.3±0.2 (GeV/c)?2. Most of the \(\bar \Lambda \) 's are emitted in the forward hemisphere. The invariantx distribution increases between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Data are presented for \(\bar \Lambda \) production inK - p→Λ \(\bar \Lambda \) +X K - p \(\bar \Lambda \) K n +X, andK - p \(\bar \Lambda \) p+X.  相似文献

In an experiment at the CERN-SPS charged hyperon beam, we have investigated the inclusive \(\Lambda \bar K^0 \) and \(\Sigma ^0 \bar K^0 \) final states formed in Ξ? Be interactions. In the \(\Lambda \bar K^0 \) channel, we observe a signal at 1826 MeV/c2 which can be identified with the known Ξ(1820) resonance. We determine its mass and width to be:M=1826±4 MeV/c2, Г=12±14 MeV/c2. A moment analysis is consistent with a spin of 3/2 and indicates a negative parity for this spin assignment. Also in the \(\Lambda \bar K^0 \) channel, we observe a 3.6σ signal with the following parameters:M=1963±5 MeV/c2, Г=25±15 MeV/c2. This state, which we call Ξ(1960), is not observed in the \(\Sigma ^0 \bar K^0 \) channel, leading to an upper limit on the ratio of partial widths \(\Sigma \bar K/\Lambda \bar K\) of 2.3 (90% confidence level). A moment analysis of the \(\Lambda \bar K^0 \) final state indicates a spin of 5/2 or greater in the natural spin-parity series 5/2+, 7/2?, etc.  相似文献

Landau’s criterion plays an important role in the theory of superfluidity. According to this criterion, superfluid motion is possible if \(\tilde \varepsilon \left( p \right) \equiv \varepsilon \left( p \right) + pV > 0\) along the curve of the spectrum?(p) of excitations. For4He it means thatv<v c,v c≈60 m/sec.v s is equal to the tangent of the slope to the roton part of the spectrum. The question of what happens to the liquid when this velocity is exceeded, as far as we know, remains unclear. We shall show that for small excesses abovev c a one-dimensional periodic structure appears in the helium. A wave vector of this structure oriented opposite to the flow and equal toρ c/h whereρ c is the momentum at the tangent point. The quantity \(\tilde \varepsilon \left( p \right)\) is the energy of excitation in the liquid moving with velocity v. Inequality of Landau ensures that \(\tilde \varepsilon \) is positive. If \(\tilde \varepsilon \) becomes negative, then the boson distribution function \(n\left( {\tilde \varepsilon } \right)\) becomes negative, indicating the impossibility of thermodynamic equilibrium of the ideal gas of rotons; therefore the interaction between them must be taken into account. The final form of the energy operator is $$\hat H = \int {\left\{ {\hat \psi + \tilde \varepsilon \left( p \right)\hat \psi + \tfrac{g}{2}\hat \psi + \hat \psi + \hat \psi \hat \psi } \right\}} d^3 x, g \sim 2 \cdot 10^{ - 38} erg.cm.$$ Then we can seek the rotonψ-operator in the formψ=ηexp(i p c r/h), determiningη from the condition that the energy is minimized. The result is (η)2=(v?v c)ρ c/g, forv>v c. The plane waveψ corresponds to a uniform distribution of rotons. It leads, however, to a spatial modulation of the density of the helium, since the density operator \(\hat n\) contains a term which is linear in the operator \(\psi :\hat n = n_0 + \left( {n_0 } \right)^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-0em} 2}} {A \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {A {\hat \psi \to \hat \psi ^ + }}} \right. \kern-0em} {\hat \psi \to \hat \psi ^ + }}\) ), where |A|2ρ c 2 /2m?(ρ c). Finally we find that the density of helium is modulated according to the law $$\frac{{n - n_0 }}{{n_0 }} = \left[ {\frac{{\left| A \right|^2 \left( {\nu - \nu _c } \right)\rho _c }}{{n_0 g}}} \right]^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 2}} \sin \rho _c x \approx 2,6\left[ {\frac{{\nu - \nu _c }}{{\nu _c }}} \right]^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 2}} \sin \rho _c x$$ . It was reported that the contributions of the non-standardWWγ couplings called λγ and \(\bar \lambda _\gamma \) to the anomalous magnetic moments and the electric dipole moments of fermions depend on regularization schemes of the loop integral. We find that this dependence does not exist in the contributions of the λγ and \(\bar \lambda _\gamma \) couplings to the flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) processes of quarks such asbsγ. By utilizing the experimental upper bound of the branching ratio of the processBK *γ, we obtain the allowed regions of λγ and \(\bar \lambda _\gamma \) that do not depend on regularization schemes of the loop integral. The cut-off independent constraints of the other non-standardWWγ couplings called Δκλ and \(\tilde \kappa _\gamma \) are also obtained.  相似文献

L-shell vacancy rearrangement probabilities, \(\tilde f\) 's, prior to X-ray emission andL-shell widths were determined from intensity distributions of the satellite structures. Characteristic X-rays were induced by 6 MeV/amu N4+ impacts on atoms with various chemical compositions and with different bonding structures, whose atomic numbers range from 9 to 30. In the region where target atomic numberZ 2≦12, the experimentally deduced \(\tilde f\) values exceed theoretical ones to large extent. On the other hand, the theoretical \(\tilde f\) values give upper limits to the experimental ones in the regionZ 2≧13. No significant chemical effect could be found in \(\tilde f\) values for all the atoms investigated except forF.  相似文献

It is investigated to what extent the well-known algebra \(\left\{ {Q^S ,\bar Q^S } \right\} = \gamma ^\mu P_\mu \) in the rigid supersymmetry theory holds in quantum supergravity: The anti-commutator \(\left\{ {Q_\alpha ^S ,\bar Q_\beta ^S } \right\} = \gamma ^m \tilde P_m \) defines an “internal” translation generator \(\tilde P_m \) , quite another from the “external” translation generatorP μ. It is, however, shown that those two operators give the same matrix elements between any two physical states aside from a proportional factor. Such a “miracle” is caused by some particular properties of global gauge transformation charge universal in gauge theories. These properties are fully clarified in a general manner.  相似文献

The inclusive production ofK s 0 , Λ and \(\bar \Lambda \) particles is investigated in 70 GeV/c \(\bar pp\) interactions in an experiment performed at CERN using BEBC equipped with a TST. Differential cross-sections are studied and compared with corresponding data at surrounding energies. Differences withpp data obtained at the same energy allow an estimate of theK s 0 , production cross-section in annihilation processes. A non-relativistic quark model is used to calculate the decay widths of baryonium states to \(N\bar N,N\bar \Delta \) , \(N\bar N,N\bar \Delta \) and \(\Delta \bar \Delta \) . Large widths are found and used to estimate the \(\bar pp\) and \(\bar pn\) elastic cross-sections. The couplings of baryonium states to two identical mesons are also investigated.  相似文献

The relativistic3 P 0 model is applied to the \(p\bar p\) annihilation into twoS-wave mesons. We calculate the branching ratios of the \(p\bar p\) annihilation at rest into two mesons in the quark rearrangement model and in the quark annihilation model. In the annihilation model, we project the intermediate \(cq\bar q\) state to eigenstates ofSU (4) with the relative angular momentum of \(cq\bar q\) equals orp. In the rearrangement model, no annihilation occurs from theS-wave \(p\bar p\) and certain branching ratios conflict with the experimental data. Detailed comparison with the experiment needs inclusion ofP-wave mesons in the final state, nevertheless we find that the annihilation model gives qualitatively better results than the rearrangement model. The effect of initial state interaction through \(N\bar \Delta \pm \Delta \bar {\rm N}\) or \(\Delta \bar \Delta \) channels is discussed.  相似文献

The cross section of the quasi-elastic reactions \(\bar v_\mu p \to \mu ^ + \Lambda (\Sigma ^0 )\) in the energy range 5–100 GeV is determined from Fermilab 15′ bubble chamber antineutrino data. TheQ 2 analysis of quasi-elastic Λ events yieldsM A=1.0±0.3 GeV/c2 for the axial mass value. With zero µΛ K 0 events observed, the 90% confidence level upper limit \(\sigma (\bar v_\mu p \to \mu ^ + \Lambda {\rm K}^0 )< 2.0 \cdot 10^{ - 40} cm^2 \) is obtained. At the same time, we found that the cross section of reaction \(\bar v_\mu p \to \mu ^ + \Lambda {\rm K}^0 + m\pi ^0 \) is equal to \(\left( {3.9\begin{array}{*{20}c} { + 1.6} \\ { - 1.3} \\ \end{array} } \right) \cdot 10^{ - 40} cm^2 \) .  相似文献

We consider a class of supersymmetric models lepton number nonconservation due to mixing of scalar leptons. It is shown that a range of parameters exists such that the processes μ→eγ, μ→eγγ, μ→3e, μ+ e ?→μ? e + are strongly suppressed, whereas the decay \(\mu \to e\tilde \gamma \tilde \gamma \) can proceed with a rate \(BR(\mu \to e\tilde \gamma \tilde \gamma ) \lesssim 0.01\) . The signatures of such decay can be the production of right-handed electrons with the energy aroundm μ/3 and modification of the energy spectrum of the electrons in that region as compared with the standard model prediction.  相似文献

The instanton induced-term, proposed by Konishi and Ranfone [1] was introduced in the chiral-bag model based analysis ofK→2π decays. Almost perfect fit of the experimental data was possible with the induced-term coefficient \(\tilde C_1 \cong 1,4\) . However, this conclusion, which is appreciably larger than the rough theoretical estimate [1] (which was \(\tilde C_1 = 0.15\) m s /μ) depends on the approximation used in the theoretical approach.  相似文献
