A dual-wavelength continuous-wave (CW) diode-pumped Nd:LuVO4 laser that generates simultaneous laser action at the wavelengths 1066 and 1343 nm is demonstrated. A total dual-wavelength output power of 2.58 W was achieved at the incident pump power of 18.2 W. Furthermore, intracavity sum-frequency mixing at 1066 and 1343 nm was then realized in a LBO crystal to reach the yellow range. We obtained a total CW yellow output power of 830 mW at 594 nm.  相似文献

A dual-wavelength continuous wave (cw) diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser that generates simultaneous laser action at the wavelengths 1064 nm and 1342 nm is demonstrated. The optimum oscillation condition for the simultaneous dual-wavelength operation in a diode-end-pumped solid-state laser has been derived. The relationship between the laser cavity and the output stability is also studied. Experimental results show that the stability of the output power at the two wavelengths could be enhanced by use of a three-mirror cavity. We demonstrate a dual-wavelength laser based on a new laser material-Nd, Gd:YSGG, or Nd:GYSGG for short-for the first time to our knowledge. Besides its attractive properties such as antiradiation, high segregation coefficient, etc., this kind of laser crystal also shows excellent laser performance. For continuous-wave operation, the maximum output power is 10.1 W with the absorbed power of 18.45 W at 808 nm, corresponding to the slope efficiency of nearly 60%. The maximum single pulse energy and peak power reach 277 μJ and 4.6 kW (60 ns) when the absorbed pump power is 11.4 W for acousto-optic Q-switched operation.  相似文献

A high-power continuous-wave (cw) Nd:YAG laser operating at 946 nm by utilizing a quasi-three-level transition is reported. The laser consists of a composite Nd:YAG rod end pumped by a fiber-coupled diode laser and a simple plane-concave cavity. At an incident pump power of 40.2 W, a maximum cw output of 15.2 W at 946 nm is obtained, achieving a slope efficiency of 45%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest output at 946 nm ever generated by diode-pumped Nd:YAG lasers. In addition, at an incident pump power of 15.2 W, a 1.25 W blue output at 473 nm is achieved with a simple compact three-element cavity and a type-I lithium triborate (LiB(3)O(5)) crystal as a frequency doubler.  相似文献

An efficient, stable diode-end-pumped simultaneous continuous-wave (CW) dual-wavelength laser operating at 1.319 and 1.338 μm in a Nd:YAG crystal has been demonstrated. A total output power of 6.3 W is achieved at an absorbed pump power of 15 W, with a slope efficiency of 43.5%. The instability of output power is less than 1%. With a type Ⅱ critical phase-matched KTP crystal inserted into the cavity as frequency doubler, a maximum output power of 200 mW in red region is acquired. In addition, a sixwavelength laser operation at 1.319 μm, 1.338 μm, 1.356 μm, 659.5 nm, 669 nm, and 678 nm is observed.  相似文献

CW laser emission on the quasi 3-level (4F3/24I9/2) transition in Nd:GGG is reported for different pump focusing and resonator dimensions. A nearly hemispherical plano-concave resonator led at 937.3 nm to a maximum output power of 4.1 W for an incident pump power of 21.7 W, thus corresponding to a slope efficiency of about 23.5%. Laser operation was also obtained for the first time around 933.6 nm by using a glass etalon for frequency selection with a maximum output power of 2.3 W and a slope efficiency of 16% with respect to the incident pump power. Dual-wavelength operation (around 933.6 and 937.3 nm), which offers a potential source to generate THz radiation, is also reported.  相似文献

The continuous-wave (cw) and passive Q-switching operation of a diode-end-pumped gadolinium gallium garnet doped with neodymium (Nd:GGG) laser at 1062 nm was realized. A maximum cw output power of 6.9 W was obtained. The corresponding optical conversion efficiency was 50.9%, and the slope efficiency was determined to be 51.4%. By using Cr4+:YAG crystals as saturable absorbers, Q-switching pulse with average output power of 1.28 W, pulse width of 4 ns and repetition rate of 6.2 kHz were obtained. The single-pulse energy and peak power were estimated to be 206 μJ and 51.6 kW, respectively. The conversion efficiency of the output power from cw to Q-switching operation was as high as 84.7%.  相似文献

优质的纳米前驱体是生成良好透明陶瓷的关键。采用Sol-gel法制得颗粒均匀、粒度小、无团聚、分散性好的Nd:GGG激光陶瓷前驱粉体。对透明陶瓷前驱体进行测试XRD分析,与标准JCPDS卡片对比表明样品属于立方晶系,空间群Ia3d,晶格常数为:A=123.7nm。粉体的最佳烧成温度为1000℃,煅烧时间8h。SEM观察发现,样品纯度高、单分散、颗粒均匀且近似球形,符合制备透明陶瓷的粉体要求。  相似文献

We presented a compact and efficient diode-end-pumped 1313 nm Nd:YLF laser with an effective pump system and no additional insertion loss. The different thermal lensing effects along the ?? and ?? polarizations in an a-cut Nd:YLF crystal were investigated. 6.2 W output power of the polarized 1313 nm laser was obtained at the absorbed pump power of 17.5 W, corresponding to the optical-optical efficiency of 35% and the slope efficiency of 41%.  相似文献

This study demonstrates continuous-wave simultaneous dual-wavelength emission at 1064 and 1342 nm in an Nd:LuVO4 laser by using a T-type cavity configuration. The output powers indicating a function of pump power had two evolutions depending on the strength of the completion of two wavelength emissions. One is that the output power increased linearly with the pump power in weak competition, and the output power and slope efficiency of 1064 and 1342 nm were 1.17 W and 13%, and 0.213 W and 2.8%, respectively. The other is that the extracting-energy capabilities of two wavelength emissions were close, and the evolution was not linear and the variations demonstrated multiple stages depending on the pump power. Moreover, the ratio of output power, defined as the output power at 1064 nm divided by that at 1342 nm, is tuned from 0 to 5.5 by varying the 1064 nm cavity, and equal output powers of 1064 and 1342 nm can be obtained at each pump power.  相似文献

This Letter proposes a method to balance the gain and loss of the orthogonally polarized emissions of dual wavelengths in a solid laser cavity. By adjusting the tilt angle of the uncoated glass plate inserted into the cavity, the gain and loss of the orthogonally polarized emission lines with small intervals can be balanced to equalize the oscillation thresholds of the orthogonally polarized dual wavelengths. We select the birefringent crystal Nd:Li YF(Nd:YLF) as the gain media, and theoretically analyze the simultaneous oscillation conditions of dual wavelengths with π- and σ-polarized emissions from a four-level transition(4F3∕2→4I11∕2and4F3∕2→4I13∕2) in Nd3 t. A simple linear cavity structure is adopted in the experiment, and stable CW orthogonally polarized dual-wavelength laser outputs of 1047, and 1053, 1321, and 1313 nm are obtained.  相似文献

We report on the room-temperature spectroscopic properties and continuous-wave laser operation of a new Yb:LuVO4 crystal. The peak absorption cross section for the pi-polarization is 8.42 x 10(-20) cm2 at 985 nm, and the stimulated emission cross section at 1020 nm is 1.03 x 10(-20) cm2. An output power of 0.36 W at 1041 nm was obtained with a slope efficiency of 47% by use of Ti:sapphire laser pumping. With diode pumping the output power reached 1.05 W at the highest available incident pump power of 6.8 W.  相似文献

We report the continuous-wave and acousto-optical Q-switched operation of a diode-end-pumped Tm:YAP laser. Continuous-wave output power of 3.5 W at 1.99 μm was obtained under the absorbed pump power of 14 W. Under Q-switched laser operation, the average output power increased from 1.57 W to 2.0 W, with an absorbed pump power of 12.6 W, as the repetition rate increased from 1 kHz to 10 kHz. The maximum Q-switched pulse energy was 1.57 mJ with a repetition rate of 1 kHz. The minimum pulse width was measured to be about 80 ns, corresponding to a peak power of 19.6 kW. A compact efficient diode-end-pumped acousto-optically Q-switched intracavity-frequency-tripled Nd:YAG 355 nm ultraviolet laser was realized. Intracavity sub-resonators with anti-reflection and high-reflection coated mirrors were used to get higher efficiency of third harmonic generation. With two LBO crystals used in frequency doubling and tripling processes respectively, greater than 1.2 W 355 nm average output power was obtained under the absorbed pump power of 10 W and the repetition rate of 5 kHz. The corresponding pump-to-ultraviolet conversion efficiency was determined to be as high as 12%. At 5 kHz, the minimize pulse width was obtained to be 14.2 ns with the peak power of 16.9 kW and single pulse energy of 240 μJ. The instability of the 355 nm laser was measured to be less than 4.2% at an output power of 0.9 W within half an hour operation.  相似文献

In this letter, a thin slab of glass is used as Fabry–Perot etalon inside a cavity of a continuous wave (CW) Nd:YAG laser to change the behavior of its output longitudinal modes. The slab etalon is used as tuning element when it turns around the laser cavity axis. Two simultaneous longitudinal modes with a relatively wide tuning range from 5.83 MHz to 0.02 THz are obtained when the Nd:YAG laser is operated at moderate output power of about 120 mW. The mode structure of this configuration is modeled and simulated. Computer-generated diagrams are also presented schematically and compared with the experimental results.  相似文献
