B0(Bs) → γν\bar{ν} decays are useful to determining the decay constants fB(fB_{s}) and B(Bs) meson wave function. Using the B meson wave function determined in hadronic B(Bs) decays, we study the uncertainties due to the types of B meson wave functions. We find that the branching ratios are sensitive to the type of wave functions and input parameters, but the energy spectrum is independent. The predicted branching ratios are (0.45-1.04)× 10-9 and (2.14-3.27)×10-8 for B0 and Bs decay, respectively.  相似文献

We investigate the occurrence of Hunds rule magnetism in C molecular ions, by computing the ground-state spin for all charge states n from -3 to +5. The two competing interactions, electron-vibration (e-v, including Jahn Teller, favoring low spin) and electron-electron (e-e, including Hund-rule exchange, favoring high spin), are accounted for based on previously computed ab initio coupling parameters. Treating the ion coordinates as classical, we first calculate and classify the static Jahn-Teller distorted states for all n, inclusive of both e-v and e-e effects. We then correct the adiabatic result by including the zero-point energy lowering associated with softening of vibrations at the adiabatic Jahn-Teller minima. Our overall result is that while, like in previous investigations, low-spin states prevail in negative ions, Hunds rule high spin dominates all positive C60 n+ ions. This suggests also that Hund-rule magnetism could arise in fullerene cation-based solid state compounds, particularly those involving C60 2+.Received: 17 April 2003, Published online: 22 September 2003PACS: 36.40.Cg Electronic and magnetic properties of clusters - 61.48.+c Fullerenes and fullerene-related materials (structure) - 71.20.Tx Fullerenes and related materials; intercalation compounds (electronic structure) - 75.75.+a Magnetic properties of nanostructures  相似文献

We calculate the amplitude of $gg\to b\bar{b}$ production for the colour singlet, J z =0, di-gluon state at $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_{\mathrm{S}}^{2})$ order. We consider the cancellation and a realistic cut-off, of the infrared divergent terms. We show that the one-loop radiative QCD contributions effectively reduce the Born level result for the central exclusive $b\bar{b}$ cross section at the LHC. This process is essentially the only irreducible QCD background to the exclusive $H\to b\bar{b}$ signal.  相似文献

One of the main goals of the ATLAS experiment is to measure various Higgs boson couplings as accurately as possible. Such a measurement is mandatory for a full understanding of the Higgs sector. One of the most challenging measurements of the Higgs boson properties is the determination of the Yukawa coupling to the top quark. To complement the $t\bar {t}H\rightarrow t\bar {t}\ensuremath {\mathit {b}\bar {\mathit {b}}}$ channel, which is the most significant in the low Higgs mass region (m H ~120 GeV), we introduce a feasibility study of the $t\bar {t}H$ channel with the Higgs decaying to a pair of τ leptons. The signal events were reconstructed using the full and the fast simulation of the ATLAS detector. It is shown that both the distributions and the number of expected events after the same cuts agree, and that we can use the fast simulation to complete the analysis. We obtain a significance of 1.6σ for the low luminosity condition (30 fb?1) and m H =120 GeV, and 2.0σ for the high luminosity condition (300 fb?1) and m H =120 GeV. The observability of Higgs boson in this channel is demonstrated to be very marginal, even in the absence of taking into account $t\bar {t}+\mathrm{jets}$ .  相似文献

We reevaluate the hadronic contributions to the muon magnetic anomaly, and to the running of the electromagnetic coupling constant at the Z-boson mass. We include new π + π ? cross-section data from KLOE, all available multi-hadron data from BABAR, a reestimation of missing low-energy contributions using results on cross sections and process dynamics from BABAR, a reevaluation of all experimental contributions using the software package HVPTools together with a reanalysis of inter-experiment and inter-channel correlations, and a reevaluation of the continuum contributions from perturbative QCD at four loops. These improvements lead to a decrease in the hadronic contributions with respect to earlier evaluations. For the muon g?2 we find lowest-order hadronic contributions of (692.3±4.2)?10?10 and (701.5±4.7)?10?10 for the e + e ?-based and τ-based analyses, respectively, and full Standard Model predictions that differ by 3.6σ and 2.4σ from the experimental value. For the e + e ?-based five-quark hadronic contribution to $\alpha(M_{Z}^{2})$ we find $\varDelta \alpha_{\mathrm{had}}^{(5)}(M_{Z}^{2}) =(274.9\pm1.0)\cdot10^{-4}$ . The reduced electromagnetic coupling strength at M Z leads to an increase by 12 GeV in the central value of the Higgs boson mass obtained by the standard Gfitter fit to electroweak precision data.  相似文献

The mixing of η?η′ or η?η′?G is of a great theoretical interest, because it concerns many aspects of the underlying dynamics and hadronic structure of pseudoscalar mesons and glueball. Determining the mixing parameters by fitting data is by no means trivial. In order to extract the mixing parameters from the available processes where hadrons are involved, theoretical evaluation of hadronic matrix elements is necessary. Therefore model dependence is somehow unavoidable. In fact, it is impossible to extract the mixing angle from a unique experiment because the model parameters must be obtained by fitting other experiments. Recently $\mathit{BR}(D\to\eta+\bar{l}+\nu_{l})$ and $\mathit{BR}(D_{s}\to\eta(\eta')+\bar{l}+\nu_{l})$ have been measured, thus we are able to determine the η?η′ mixing solely from the semileptonic decays of D-mesons where contamination from the final state interactions is absent. Thus we hope that the model dependence of the extraction can be somehow alleviated. Once $\mathit{BR}(D\to\eta'+\bar{l}+\nu_{l})$ is measured, we can further determine all the mixing parameters for η?η′?G. As more data are accumulated, the determination will be more accurate. In this work, we obtain the transition matrix elements of D (s)η (′) using the light-front quark model whose feasibility and reasonability for such processes have been tested.  相似文献

The "good" diquark is employed to study A+ baryons within a mass loaded flux tube model. The study indicates that all A+ baryons candidates in the 2008 review by the Particle Data Group (PDG) are well described in the mass loaded flux model. The quantum numbers JP of these A+ candidates are assigned. If Ac(2765)+ is an orbitally excited A+, it is likely the JP=3/2+one. If ∧c(2765)+ is an orbitally excited ∑c, there ought to be another JP=3/2+∧c+with mass ≈2770 MeV. In the model, there exists no JP=1/2+∧c+(≈2700)predicted in existing literature. Ac (2940)+ is very possible the orbitally excited baryon with  相似文献

We compute the two photon exchange contributions to elastic scattering of polarized electrons from target protons. We use a non-local field theory formalism for this calculation. The formalism maintains gauge invariance and provides a systematic procedure for making this calculation. The results depend on one unknown parameter, . We compute the two photon exchange correction to the ratio of electric to magnetic form factors extracted using polarization transfer experiments. The correction is found to be small if . However, for larger values of , the correction can be quite significant. The correction to the polarization transfer results goes in the right direction to explain their difference with the ratio measured by the Rosenbluth separation method. We find that the difference between the two experimental results can be explained for a wide range of values of the parameter . We also find that the corrections due to two photon exchange depend on the photon longitudinal polarization ε. Hence, we predict an ε dependence of the form factor ratio extracted using the polarization transfer technique. Finally, we obtain a limit on by requiring that the non-linearity in ε dependence of the unpolarized reduced cross section is within experimental errors.  相似文献

We investigate the decays of \(\bar{B}^0_s\), \(\bar{B}^0\) and \(B^-\) into \(\eta _c\) plus a scalar or vector meson in a theoretical framework by taking into account the dominant process for the weak decay of \(\bar{B}\) meson into \(\eta _c\) and a \(q\bar{q}\) pair. After hadronization of this \(q\bar{q}\) component into pairs of pseudoscalar mesons we obtain certain weights for the pseudoscalar meson-pseudoscalar meson components. In addition, the \(\bar{B}^0\) and \(\bar{B}^0_s\) decays into \(\eta _c\) and \(\rho ^0\), \(K^*\) are evaluated and compared to the \(\eta _c\) and \(\phi \) production. The calculation is based on the postulation that the scalar mesons \(f_0(500)\), \(f_0(980)\) and \(a_0(980)\) are dynamically generated states from the pseudoscalar meson-pseudoscalar meson interactions in S-wave. Up to a global normalization factor, the \(\pi \pi \), \(K \bar{K}\) and \(\pi \eta \) invariant mass distributions for the decays of \(\bar{B}^0_s \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^+ \pi ^-\), \(\bar{B}^0_s \rightarrow \eta _c K^+ K^-\), \(\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^+ \pi ^-\), \(\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow \eta _c K^+ K^-\), \(\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^0 \eta \), \(B^- \rightarrow \eta _c K^0 K^-\) and \(B^- \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^- \eta \) are predicted. Comparison is made with the limited experimental information available and other theoretical calcualtions. Further comparison of these results with coming LHCb measurements will be very valuable to make progress in our understanding of the nature of the low lying scalar mesons, \(f_0(500), f_0(980)\) and \(a_0(980)\).  相似文献

An effective anisotropic t-J model for the pseudo-ladder compound CaCu2O3 is proposed based on recent experimental studies and band structure calculations. Superconducting pairing mediated by the exchange interaction in the model is investigated as a function of doping away from the antiferromagnetic insulating state. It is shown that strong anisotropy in the electronic spectrum suppresses superconducting temperature in comparison with conventional copper-oxide superconductors with square lattices.  相似文献

Role of the Λ(1600) is studied in the ${K}^{-}p\to {\rm{\Lambda }}{\pi }^{0}{\pi }^{0}$ reaction by using the effective Lagrangian approach near the threshold. We perform a calculation for the total and differential cross sections by considering the contributions from the Λ(1600) and Λ(1670) intermediate resonances decaying into ${\pi }^{0}{{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* 0}(1385)$ with ${{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* 0}(1385)$ decaying into ${\pi }^{0}{\rm{\Lambda }}$. Additionally, the non-resonance process from u-channel nucleon pole is also taken into account. With our model parameters, the current experimental data on the total cross sections of the ${K}^{-}p\to {\rm{\Lambda }}{\pi }^{0}{\pi }^{0}$ reaction can be well reproduced. It is shown that we really need the contribution from the Λ(1600) with spin-parity ${J}^{P}=1/{2}^{+}$, and that these measurements can be used to determine some of the properties of the Λ(1600) resonance. Furthermore, we also plot the π0Λ invariant mass distributions which could be tested by the future experimental measurements.  相似文献

An appropriate kind of curved Hilbert space is developed in such a manner that it admits operators of - and -differentiation, which are the analogues of the familiar covariant and D-differentiation available in a manifold. These tools are then employed to shed light on the space-time structure of Quantum Mechanics, from the points of view of the Feynman ‘path integral’ and of canonical quantisation. (The latter contains, as a special case, quantisation in arbitrary curvilinear coordinates when space is flat.) The influence of curvature is emphasised throughout, with an illustration provided by the Aharonov-Bohm effect.  相似文献

We provide analytical results for the O(α s ) corrections to the polar angle dependence of the longitudinal spin–spin correlation asymmetry in $e^{+}e^{-}\to q\bar{q}$ . For top quark pair production the O(α s ) corrections to the longitudinal spin–spin asymmetry are strongly polar angle dependent and can amount up to ?4% in the q 2-range from above $t\bar{t}$ threshold up to $\sqrt{q^{2}}=1000\ \mbox {GeV}$ . The O(α s ) radiative corrections to the correlation asymmetry are below ≈1% in the forward direction where the cross section is largest. In the $e^{+}e^{-}\to b\bar{b}$ case the O(α s ) corrections reduce the asymmetry value from its m b =0 value of ?100% to approximately ?96% for q 2-values around the Z peak and are practically independent of the value of the polar angle θ. This reduction can be traced to finite anomalous contributions from residual mass effects which survive the m b →0 limit. We discuss the role of the anomalous contributions and the pattern of how they contribute to spin-flip and non-flip terms.  相似文献

We study frame properties of a matrix-valued wave packet system in the matrix-valued function space \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d}, \mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\), where the lower frame condition is controlled by a bounded linear operator \(\mathcal {K}\) on \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d}, \mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\) (lower \(\mathcal {K}\)-frame condition, in short). There are many differences between ordinary frames and \(\mathcal {K}\)-frames. The lower \(\mathcal {K}\)-frame condition for matrix-valued wave packet Bessel sequences in \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d},\mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\) in terms of operators; a trace functional associated with a bounded linear operator on \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d}, \mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\); and a series associated with a matrix-valued Bessel sequence is presented. It is shown that matrix-valued wave packet frames are stable under small perturbation with respect to wave packet window functions.  相似文献

We explicitly construct a stationary coupling attaining Ornstein’s [`(d)]\bar{d}-distance between ordered pairs of binary chains of infinite order. Our main tool is a representation of the transition probabilities of the coupled bivariate chain of infinite order as a countable mixture of Markov transition probabilities of increasing order. Under suitable conditions on the loss of memory of the chains, this representation implies that the coupled chain can be represented as a concatenation of i.i.d. sequences of bivariate finite random strings of symbols. The perfect simulation algorithm is based on the fact that we can identify the first regeneration point to the left of the origin almost surely.  相似文献

It is shown that, within the Standard Model extended by including a singlet quark heavy enough to prevent its direct detection at LHC, the mass differences $ \Delta m_{B_d } $ and $ \Delta m_{B_s } $ and the parameter of CP violation in K-meson oscillations, ? K , acquire universal corrections of about 5 to 10%. Implicit experimental constraints on the mass of this new quark are discussed.  相似文献
