In this paper, we study mainly the existence of multiple positive solutions for a quasilinear elliptic equation of the following form on RN, when N2,

Here, V(x)>0:RNR is a suitable potential function, r(1,N), f(x,u) is a continuous function of N-superlinear and subcritical exponential growth without having the Ambrosetti–Rabinowitz condition, while λ>0 is a constant. A suitable Moser–Trudinger inequality and the compact embedding WV1,N(RN)?Lr(RN) are proved to study problem (0.1). Moreover, the compact embedding HV1(RN)?LKt(RN) is also analyzed to investigate the existence of a positive ground state to the following nonlinear Schrödinger equation

Let G be the wonderful compactification of a simple affine algebraic group G of adjoint type defined over C. Let T?G be the closure of a maximal torus T?G. We prove that the group of all automorphisms of the variety T is the semi-direct product NG(T)?D, where NG(T) is the normalizer of T in G and D is the group of all automorphisms of the Dynkin diagram, if GPSL(2,C). We investigate the flat holomorphic vector bundles over compact complex parallelizable manifolds G/Γ, where G is a complex connected Lie group and Γ is a cocompact lattice in it. The main result proved here is a structure theorem for flat holomorphic vector bundles Eρ associated with any irreducible representation ρ:Γ?GL(r,C). More precisely, we prove that Eρ is holomorphically isomorphic to a vector bundle of the form En, where E is a stable vector bundle. All the rational Chern classes of E vanish, in particular, its degree is zero.We deduce a stability result for flat holomorphic vector bundles Eρ of rank 2 over G/Γ. If an irreducible representation ρ:Γ?GL(2,C) satisfies the condition that the induced homomorphism Γ?PGL(2,C) does not extend to a homomorphism from G, then Eρ is proved to be stable.  相似文献

Given a bounded universe {0,1,,U?1}, we show how to perform predecessor searches in O(loglogΔ) expected time, where Δ is the difference between the element being searched for and its predecessor in the structure, while supporting updates in O(loglogΔ) expected amortized time, as well. This unifies the results of traditional bounded universe structures (which support predecessor searches in O(loglogU) time) and hashing (which supports membership queries in O(1) time). Moreover, the obtained solutions are shown to approach the spatially homogeneous steady state (1|Ω|Ωn0,0,0) in the large time limit.This extends previous results which either relied on different and apparently less significant energy-type structures, or on completely alternative approaches, and thereby exclusively achieved comparable results under hypotheses stronger than (0.1).  相似文献
