Deformed orthogonal and pseudo-orthogonal Lie algebras are constructed which differ from deformations of Lie algebras in terms of Cartan subalgebra and root vectors and which make it possible to construct representations by operators acting according to Gel'fand-Tsetlin-type formulas. This Letter examines the question of the structure of the Hopf algebra deformations of the universal enveloping algebras of the simple Lie algebras. Deformations of a complex algebra A are viewed as algebras defined over formal power series rings that specialize to A when the parameters go to 0. Only the case of U(sl(2,C)) is treated but the methods are general. Under the Ansatz that the two Borel subalgebras are deformed as Hopf algebras but possibly differently, we construct a universal two-parameter deformation.  相似文献

We introduce a nonsymmetric and associative tensor product among representations of Cuntz algebras by using embeddings. Since the tensor product of permutative representations is also a permutative representation, the decomposition of such a tensor product is unique up to unitary equivalence. We show the decomposition formulae explicitly. As an application, we show properties of concrete endomorphisms.   相似文献

We study the representation theory of finiteW-algebras. After introducing parabolic subalgebras to describe the structure ofW-algebras, we define the Verma modules and give a conjecture for the Kac determinant. This allows us to find the completely degenerate representations of the finiteW-algebras. To extract the irreducible representations we analyse the structure of singular and subsingular vectors and find that, forW-algebras, in general the maximal submodule of a Verma module is not generated by singular vectors only. Surprisingly, the role of the (sub)singular vectors can be encapsulated in terms of a dual analogue of the Kazhdan-Lusztig theorem for simple Lie algebras. These involve dual relative Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. We support our conjectures with some examples, and briefly discuss applications and the generalisation to infiniteW-algebras.  相似文献

Concepts from the theory of abstract operator algebras are used to solve the problem of quantizing a particle moving on an arbitrary locally compact homogeneous space. Inequivalent quantizations are identified with inequivalent irreducible representations of the corresponding C *-algebra. Topological terms in the action (or Hamiltonian) are found to be representation-dependent, and are automatically induced by the quantization procedure. Known charge quantization conditions turn out to be identically satisfied. Several examples are considered, among them the Dirac monopole and the Aharonov-Bohm effect.  相似文献

An infinite number of free field realizations of the universal nonlinear (N) ( 1+ (N) ) algebras, which are identical to the KP Hamiltonian structures, are obtained in terms ofp plusq scalars of different signatures withpq =N. They are generalizations of the Miura transformation, and naturally give rise to the modified KP hierarchies via corresponding realizations of the latter. LetP M be a principalG-bundle. We construct well-defined analogs of Lebesgue measure on the spaceA of connections onP and Haar measure on the groupG of gauge transformations. More precisely, we define algebras of cylinder functions on the spacesA,G, andA/G, and define generalized measures on these spaces as continuous linear functionals on the corresponding algebras. Borrowing some ideas from lattice gauge theory, we characterize generalized measures onA,G, andA/G in terms of graphs embedded inM. We use this characterization to construct generalized measures onA andG whenG is compact. The uniform generalized measure onA is invariant under the group of automorphisms ofP. It projects down to the generalized measure onA/G considered by Ashtekar and Lewandowski in the caseG = SU(n). The generalized Haar measure onG is right- and left-invariant as well as Aut(P)-invariant. We show that averaging any generalized measure onA against generalized Haar measure gives aG-invariant generalized measure onA.  相似文献

Using the duality and the topological theory of well-behaved Hopf algebras, we construct star-product models of noncompact quantum groups from Drinfeld and Reshetikhin standard deformations of enveloping Hopf algebras of simple Lie algebras. Our star-products act not only on coefficient functions of finite-dimensional representations, but actually on allC functions, and they even exist for nonlinear (semi-simple) Lie groups.  相似文献

Using the previously obtained universalR-matrix for the quantized nontwisted affine Lie algebras U q (A 1 (1) ) and U q (A 2 (1) ), we determine the explicitly spectral dependent universalR-matrix for the corresponding quantum Lie algebras U q (A 1) and U q (A 2). As applications, we reproduce the well known results in the fundamental representations and we also derive an extremely explicit formula of the spectral-dependentR-matrix for the adjoint representation of U q (A 2), the simplest nontrivial case when the tensor product decomposition of the representation with itself has nontrivial multiplicity.  相似文献

An attempt is made to understand the root spaces of Kac Moody algebras of hyperbolic type, and in particularE 10, in terms of a DDF construction appropriate to a subcritical compactified bosonic string. While the level-one root spaces can be completely characterized in terms of transversal DDF states (the level-zero elements just span the affine subalgebra), longitudinal DDF states are shown to appear beyond level one. In contrast to previous treatments of such algebras, we find it necessary to make use of a rational extension of the self-dual root lattice as an auxiliary device, and to admit non-summable operators (in the sense of the vertex algebra formalism). We demonstrate the utility of the method by completely analyzing a non-trivial level-two root space, obtaining an explicit and comparatively simple representation for it. We classify integrable irreducible highest weight representations of non-twisted affine Lie superalgebras. We give a free field construction in the level 1 case. The analysis of this construction shows, in particular, that in the simplest case of the sℓ (2|1) level 1 affine superalgebra the characters are expressed in terms of the Appell elliptic function. Studying the algebraic structure of the doubleDY(g) of the Yangian Y(g), we present the triangular decomposition ofDY(g) and a factorization for the canonical pairing of the Yangian with its dual inside Y0(g). As a consequence, we describe a structure of the universalR-matrixR forDY(g) which is complete forDY(s12). We demonstrate how this formula works in evaluation representations of Y(sl2).
