The elaborated analysis of spectrum of scalar and vector charmonium states in the mass region above D[`(D)]D\bar D — threshold is given. The combined approach based on the potential model and relativistic spherical symmetric top model for decay products has been proposed. Ten radial excited states of charmonium in the mass region above D[`(D)]D\bar D — threshold are anticipated to exist in the framework of the combined approach. The experimental data from different collaborations were analyzed. Especial attention was given to the new states with the hidden charm discovered recently. Eight of these states may be interpreted as higher laying radial excited charmonium states. But much more data on different decay modes are needed for deeper analysis. These data can be derived directly from the experiments using high quality antiproton beam with the momentum ranging from 1 GeV/c to 15 GeV/c (PANDA experiment at FAIR).  相似文献

The production of charmed particles by 340 GeV/c momentum was studied in the hyperon beam experiment WA89 at the CERN-SPS, using the -spectrometer. In two data-taking periods in 1993 and 1994 an integrated luminosity of on copper and carbon targets was recorded. From the reconstruction of charm particle decays in 10 decay channels production cross sections for D, , and were determined in the region . Assuming an dependence of the cross section on the nucleon number, we calculate a total production cross section of per nucleon. The last term is an upper limit on the unknown contribution from charmed-strange baryon production. Received: 3 September 1999 / Published online: 3 February 2000  相似文献

Absolute inclusive cross sections for \(\bar pp\) interactions at 7.3 GeV/c are given. The data cover prong cross sections,V 0, γ production and inclusive charged particle (p/π) production. Separation has been made into annihilation and non-annihilation components. Inclusive π+, π? production in the processes of \(\bar pp\) annihilation and non-annihilation are compared with simple quark models.  相似文献

A study of \(\bar np\) annihilations with \(\bar n\) momentum between 0.5 and 0.8 GeV/c is presented. The search fors-channel resonances in \(\bar np\) annihilations reveal possibly two narrow structures in the odd pions final state. Inclusiveρ 0 andf 0 cross sections in \(\bar np\) annihilations have been estimated to be 9.0±0.6 mb and 3.4±0.6 mb respectively. Longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions for inclusiveρ 0 production have been presented. A study of resonance production in exclusive final state revealsρ 0 production to be dominant in the odd pion final states andρ +,ω 0 productions are most important for the even pion final states. Theπ + π ? effective mass spectra in the backward and the forward directions in the \(\bar np\) c.m. system have been examined for a possible ?-ω interference effect.  相似文献

The inclusive production ofK *±(890), ρρ(770), ω0(780) andf 0(1,270) mesons is studied in \(\bar pp\) experiment at 32GeV/c in the MIRABELLE bubble chamber by the analysis of (K 0π±) and (π+π?) invariant mass distributions. The inclusive cross sections are σ(K )=2.45±0.30 mb, σ(ρ0)=8.8 ±0.9 mb, σ(ω+)?6.2 mb, and σ(f 0)=2.2±0.7 mb. The C.M. longitudinal distribution of theK (890) is slightly shifted to the primary particles fragmentation regions; the ρ0 is produced more centrally. The studied mesons alone are responsible for 40% of final state poins. The production features of various resonances are compared with quark models predictions.  相似文献

Multiplicities of charged particles produced in the forward and backward hemispheres are investigated for proton-nucleus and proton-nucleon collisions in the range from 20 to 400 GeV/c. Weak, but growing with incident beam momentum, forward-backward multiplicity correlations are observed which cannot be reduced to the inelastic diffraction. These correlations are more pronounced in proton-nucleus than proton-nucleon interactions. The experimental data are discussed in the frameworks of current cluster and multiple scattering models. It is shown that multiple scattering models describe well the forward-backward multiplicity correlations in nuclear production.  相似文献

The interactions of with D, Li, C, S, Cu and Pb nuclei at 40 GeV/c were studied by the RISC-streamer chamber spectrometer. The yields of mesons and and hyperons as functions of the target nucleus mass number are investigated. The experimental results are compared with model predictions using the FRITIOF-7.02 program package. We consider the decays $Z \to b\bar b$ and $Z \to c\bar c$ as tests of the Standard Model (SM). We find thatR b =0.2141 andR c =0.1719. Comparing with recent experimental measurements, we find thatR b exp is too high by 3.9σ andR c exp is too low by 2.4σ.  相似文献

The inclusive production ofK s 0 , Λ and \(\bar \Lambda \) particles is investigated in 70 GeV/c \(\bar pp\) interactions in an experiment performed at CERN using BEBC equipped with a TST. Differential cross-sections are studied and compared with corresponding data at surrounding energies. Differences withpp data obtained at the same energy allow an estimate of theK s 0 , production cross-section in annihilation processes. Evidence is also given for central \(\Lambda \bar \Lambda \) production.  相似文献

A detailed analysis ofK s 0 production in \(\bar pp\) |<2.5 the average transverse momentum is found to be 0.53±0.07 GeV/c at 200 GeV and 0.62±0.08 GeV/c at 900 GeV, which is an increase with respect to data at c.m. energies below 60 GeV. TheK s 0 production cross sections in inelastic collisions are 29±4 mb at 200 GeV and 63±6 mb at 900 GeV, showing an increase compared to lower energy data. The central kaon density is found to increase as a logarithmic function of energy. At 900 GeV, where statistics are sufficient to allow one to draw conclusions, the average transverse momentum is higher in events with large charged multiplicity than in events with low multiplicity.  相似文献

New results on the production of charged pions in p+p interactions are presented. The data come from a sample of 4.8 million inelastic events obtained with the NA49 detector at the CERN SPS at 158 GeV/c beam momentum. Pions are identified by energy loss measurement in a large TPC tracking system which covers a major fraction of the production phase space. Inclusive invariant cross sections are given on a grid of nearly 300 bins per charge over intervals from 0 to 2 GeV/c in transverse momentum and from 0 to 0.85 in Feynman x. The results are compared to existing data in overlapping energy ranges. Arrival of the final proofs: 8 December 2005  相似文献

The production of charged pions in minimum bias p+C interactions is studied using a sample of 377000 inelastic events obtained with the NA49 detector at the CERN SPS at 158 GeV/c beam momentum. The data cover a phase space area ranging from 0 to 1.8 GeV/c in transverse momentum and from -0.1 to 0.5 in Feynman xF. Inclusive invariant cross sections are given on a grid of 270 bins per charge, thus offering for the first time a dense coverage of the projectile hemisphere and of the cross-over region into the target fragmentation zone.  相似文献

We compare the inclusive characteristics of \(\bar pp\) interactions at 22.4 GeV/c with quark-parton model predictions in terms of collective variables. The model qualitatively agrees with the data in contradiction to the simple cylindrical phase space and randomized charge model. The ways are proposed of a further development of the quark-parton model.  相似文献

We have performed an isospin analysis of single-pion production processes in antiproton-nucleon scattering from threshold to 2.90 GeV/c. Reactions used are ppppπ0, npπ?and ppppπ?. Results show that σ1, the total I=1 cross section, rises rapidly from threshold to reach a broad maximum around 2.5 GeV/c and σ0, the I=0 cross section, rises from threshold and continues on a linearly rising trend at least up to 2.90 GeV/c. In the region of 2.9 GeV/c, σ1 and σ0 have comparable values, thus suggesting that considerable amount of I=12Nπ and Nπ states is produced even in this low momentum region. We further determine that single pion production processes are not the source of the π0 (2375,190) enhancement observed in the pp and pd total cross sections and may account for as much as 25±8% of the π1 (2350,140) enhancement.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the evaluation of the cross-section (d, p) of the stripping due to collision of a fast-deuteron beam with atom nuclei forming a photographic nuclear emulsion without evaporation of nuclei. The cross-section was estimated using the deuteron mean free path with respect to mentioned reactions. The deuteron track on which the stripping reaction took place was identified according to the change of the characteristic of multiple scattering. Corrections were taken for the primary-beam impurities and for the length of each track where reaction was nor identifiable.Devoted to Professor V. Petrílka on his sixty-fifth birthday.  相似文献
