A Novel Fused Phosphorus Heterocycle: 4-(1′, 2′, 3′, 4′-Tetrahydro- 1, 3, 2-benzodiazaphosphorin-2′-sulfide)-3, 4b, 4a- thiazphosphaphenanthridine Derivative

The first example of fused phosphorus heterocyclic 4-[ l′-(β-bromoethyl)-4'-oxo-3'-prop yl-1′, 2′, 3′, 4-tetrahydro-1, 3, 2-benzodiazaphosphorin-2′-sulfide]-1, 2, 3, 4, 4a, 4b, 5, 6-octahydro -6-oxo-5-propyl-3, 4b, 4a-thiazphosphaphenanthridine 4a, 2′-dioxide was synthesized in excellent yield by refluxing a mixture of 1-(2-bromoethyt)-2, 3-dihydro-3-propyl-l, 3, 2-benzodiazaphos phorin-4(1H)-one 2-oxide with carbon disulfide in benzene in the presence of triethylamine.

Transition metal(II) complexes of 1-(α-hydroxynaphthyl)-2-(3′-methyl-5′-mercapto-1′,2′,4′-triazole)-2-aza-ethane

Summary Binuclear metal complexes of the type [M(HMTE)-(H₂O)₂]₂, where HMTE=1-(-hydroxynaphthyl)-2-(3-methyl-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazolc)2-aza-ethane and M-Cu^II, Co^II, Ni^II and Mn^II have been prepared and characterized. An octahedral geometry around the metals is proposed. The complexes have been screened as possible fungicides.

Synthesis of 3-(3′-Acetyl-5′-aroyl-1′,3′,4′-oxadiazolyl-2′)-chromones

A general method has been proposed for synthesizing 3-(3-acetyl-5-aroyl-1,3,4-oxadiazolyl-2)-chromones that has been based on conversion of 3-formylchromones to acylhydrazones and of theacylhydrazones into the heterocyclic chromones.

Construction of new effective photovoltaic devices based on organic dyes has important implications for modern and future technologies. In this article, we studied the equilibrium, the rate, and the spectral manifestation of the reaction of [(2,3,7,8,12,18-hexamethyl,13,17-diethyl,5-(2-pyridyl)porphyrinato)cobalt(II)]–[2′-(pyridin-4-yl)-5′-(pyridin-2-yl)-1′-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-2′,4′-dihydro-1′H-pyrrolo[3′,4′ : 1,2](C₆₀-I_h)[5,6]fullerene] triad formation as well as its spectral properties and photo electrochemical behavior. The cobalt porphyrin–pyridyl-substituted fullerene mixtures in toluene are self-assembling systems due to axial donor–acceptor binding between Co of the porphyrin complex and N-pyridyl of the substituted fullerene. The formation rate constant, k^298K, and the stability constant, K^298K, of donor–acceptor triad formed by coordination of two substituted fullerene molecules to Co porphyrin are (44.4 ± 0.8) mol L^?1 s^?1 and (56 ± 16)×10⁷ L² mol^?2, respectively. Modification of the titanium electrode coated with the natural oxide film was carried out using the porphyrin–fullerene triad and its individual components. Photopotential and photocurrent density of the system with modified electrode were studied. The obtained results are of interest for creating porphyrin-based donor–acceptor systems as components in organic photovoltaics.     

Synthesis and biological activity of the (−)-(2R,3S,4S)-3-azido-4-methoxy-2-(1′S-methoxy-2′-azido)ethyl-thiolane

A stereospecific ring contraction reaction, promoted by NaN₃, was detected starting from a thiepane derivative obtained from d-sorbitol, an inexpensive alcohol sugar. The major polyfunctionalized thiolane derivative obtained was investigated as a potential glycosidase inhibitor.

Steroidal ketone thiosemicarbazones (4–6), obtained from the corresponding ketones(1–3), on oxidative cyclization with H₂O₂ at 0°C provide title compounds (7–9), respectively. The structures of these compounds have been established on the basis of their elemental analytical and spectral data.     

Synthesis of 3,4-Biheterylthieno[2,3-b]-thiophenes. Part I: Synthesis of 3,4-Bi(1′,3′,4′-thiadiazolyl-, s-triazolyl-,1′,3′,4′-thiadiazinyl-, 1′,3′,4′-triazinyl-, thiazolyl-, 1′,3′-thiazinyl- and primidinyl)-thieno[2,3-b]thiophenes

3,4-Diamino-2,5-dicarbethoxythieno[2,3-b]thiophene ( 1 ) was allowed to react with NaNO 2 and active methylenes to afford the corresponding azo compounds 2a-c . Hydrazonyl chloride 2a was treated with carbon disulfide, phenyl isothiocyanate, benzonitrile, benzyl cyanide, malononitrile, benzalaniline, ethyl mercaptoacetate, and ethyl glycinate to give 1,3,4-thiadiazolyl-, s-triazolyl-, 1,3,4-thiadiazinyl-, 1,3,4-triazinylthieno[2,3-b]thiophenes 3-6 respectively. The reaction of 2b,c with urea, thiourea, and guanidine afforded pyrimidinyl- and thiazinylazothieno [2,3-b]thiophenes 7-10 respectively. Bithiazolylthieno[2,3-b]thiophenes 11 and 13 were synthesized by treating compound 1 with CS 2 along with halo compounds. The addition of S,S-, N,S-, and N,O-acetals to the Schiff base 14 afforded compounds 15-17 respectively.     

MASS SPECTROMETERY OF THE ISOMERIC OCTAHYDROBENZOPYRIMIDINE-2′-THIONE-4′,1-SPIROCYCLOHEXANE AND 2′-AMINOOCTAHYDROBENZO-3′,1′-THIAZINE-4′,1-SPIROCYCLOHEXANE

Abstract

Some authors have shown that tetrahydropyrimidine-2-thiones are hydrated in acidic solution and then isomerise to the 2-imino-or 2-enamino-1,3-thiazine.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 1′-Methyl-4′- (4-chlorophenyl)-1H-indole-3-spiro-2′-pyrrolidine- 3′-spiro-4'-(2'-phenyloxazole)-2,5'(3H,4'H)-dione

The title compound (C26H20ClN3O3) has been synthesized by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction from isatin, sarcosine and (Z)-4-(4-chlorobenzylidene)-2-phenyloxazol-5(4H)-one through a one-pot procedure, and its structure was confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1, with a = 9.3903(19), b = 11.398(2), c = 12.603(3) , α = 83.495(3), β = 68.988(3), γ = 67.178(3)°, V = 1160.1(4) 3, Z = 2, Mr = 457.90, Dc = 1.311 g/cm3, μ = 0.198 mm-1, F(000) = 476, the final R = 0.0489 and wR = 0.1144 for 3109 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I).     

Synthesis and mesomorphic properties of 4-methoxyphenyl 4′- n -alkoxy-2′,3′,5′,6′-tetrafluorobiphenyl-1-carboxylates

A novel type of 4-methoxyphenyl 4′-n-alkoxy-2′,3′,5′,6′-tetrafluorobiphenyl-1-carboxylates have been synthesized. Textural observations by polarizing microscopy and DSC measurements of the phase transitions show that all of these compounds are thermotropic liquid crystals with only a nematic mesophase. The relationship between the properties and chemical structures of these compounds is discussed.     

Synthesis,structure, and physico-chemical properties of 3-methyl and 3,3-dimethyl derivatives of l-(4′,4′-dimethyl-2′,6′-dioxocyclohex-1′-yl)-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline

3,3-Dimethyl- and 3-methyl-1-(4,4-dimethyl-2,6-dioxocyclohex-1-yl)-3,4-dihydroisoquinolines have been synthesized. Crystal and molecular structures of the 3,3-dimethyl derivative have been determined. In the crystalline state this compound exists as a tautomeric form where a hydrogen atom is located at the N atom of the dihydroisoquinoline fragment of the molecule. The tautomeric equilibrium does not shift noticeably in solutions, as shown by IR, UV, and NMR spectroscopy.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. 2-芳胺基-5-[5′-氨基-1′-(4″-氯苯基)-1′,2′,3′-三唑-4′-基]-1,3,4-噻二唑的合成~≠

1-[5’-氨基-1’-(4”-氯苯基)-1,2,3-三唑-4’-甲酰基]-4-芳基-3-氨基硫脲在浓硫酸催化下环化得到2-芳胺基-5-[5’-氨基-1’-(4”-氯苯基)-1’,2’,3’,-三唑-4’-基]-1,3,4-噻二唑2a～i,依次法合成了九个标题化合物,收率为30～74％。化合物2i的结构用X-光衍射单晶分析确证。     

Synthesis,characterization, and investigations of antimicrobial activity of 6,6-dimethyl-3-aryl-3′,4′,6,7-tetrahydro-1′H,3H-spiro[benzofuran-2,2′-naphthalene]-1′,4(5H)-dione

Chalcone-like compounds 3a–l, 2-(benzylidene)-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one, were synthesized from the addition of different benzaldehyde derivatives (2a–l) to 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-napthalone (1) in basic medium. Mn(OAc)₃-mediated addition of dimedone (4) to chalcone-like compounds gave the spirobenzofuran derivatives (5a-l), 6,6-dimethyl-3-aryl-3′,4′,6,7-tetrahydro-1′H,3H-spiro[benzofuran-2,2′-naphthalene]-1′,4 (5H)-dione, in good yields. The structures of synthesized compounds 5a–l were elucidated on basis of spectral data (NMR, IR) and elemental analysis. In addition, their antibacterial activities were screened against some human pathogenic microorganisms.
