We investigate the general property of the energy fluctuation in the canonical ensemble and the ensemble equivalence in Tsallis statistics. By taking the generalized ideal gas and the generalized harmonic oscillators as examples, we show that, when the particle number N is large enough, the relative fluctuation of the energy is proportional to 1/N in the new statistics, instead of in Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics. Thus the equivalence between microcanonical and canonical ensemble still holds in Tsallis statistics.  相似文献

We obtain an analytic expression for the specific heat of a system of N rigid rotators exactly in the high temperature limit, and via a perturbative approach in the low temperature limit. We then evaluate the specific heat of a diatomic gas with both translational and rotational degrees of freedom, and conclude that there is a mixing between the translational and rotational degrees of freedom in nonextensive statistics.  相似文献

Power law scaling is observed in many physical, biological and socio-economical complex systems and is now considered an important property of these systems. In general, power law exists in the central part of the distribution. It has deviations from power law for very small and very large variable sizes. Tsallis, through non-extensive thermodynamics, explained power law distribution in many cases including deviation from the power law. In case of very large steps, they used the heuristic crossover approach. In the present work, we present an alternative model in which we consider that the entropy factor q decreases with variable size due to the softening of long range interactions or memory. We apply this model for distribution of citation index of scientists and examination scores and are able to explain the distribution for entire variable range. In the present model, we can have very sharp cut-off without interfering with power law in its central part as observed in many cases.  相似文献

We present a stability analysis of the classical ideal gas in a new theory of nonextensive statistics and use this theory to understand the phenomena of negative specific heat in the nonextensive gas. The stability analysis is made on the basis of the second variation of Tsallis entropy. It is shown that the system is thermodynamically unstable if the nonextensive parameter is q>5/3, which is exactly equivalent to the condition of appearance of the negative specific heat.  相似文献

By using integral representations the perturbation expansion and the Bogoliubov inequality in nonextensive Tsallis statistics are investigated in a unified way. This procedure extends the analysis performed recently by Lenzi et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 218 (1998)] to the quantum (discrete spectra) case, for q<1. An example is presented in order to illustrate the method. Received 19 November 1998  相似文献

The energy distribution and the energy fluctuation in the Tsallis canonical ensemble are studied with the OLM formalism but following a new way. The resulting formula for the energy fluctuation is not the same as that in previous work [L.Y. Liu, J.L. Du, Physica A 387 (2008) 5417]. In discussing the application of an ideal gas, we find that the energy fluctuation can not be negligible in the thermodynamic limit, showing the ensemble nonequivalence for this case in Tsallis statistics. We investigate the energy fluctuation with a Tsallis generalized canonical distribution studied by Plastino and Plastino [A.R. Plastino, A. Plastino, Phys. Lett. A 193 (1994) 140] for describing a system in contact with a finite heat bath. For this situation, the two formulae for the energy fluctuation are shown to be equivalent, while the nonextensive parameter qq plays a very important role.  相似文献

Systems with long-range interactions can reach a Quasi Stationary State (QSS) as a result of a violent collisionless relaxation. If the system mixes well (ergodicity), the QSS can be predicted by the statistical theory of Lynden-Bell (1967) based on the Vlasov equation. When the initial condition takes only two values, the Lynden-Bell distribution is similar to the Fermi-Dirac statistics. Such distributions have recently been observed in direct numerical simulations of the HMF model (Antoniazzi et al. 2006). In this paper, we determine the caloric curve corresponding to the Lynden-Bell statistics in relation with the HMF model and analyze the dynamical and thermodynamical stability of spatially homogeneous solutions by using two general criteria previously introduced in the literature. We express the critical energy and the critical temperature as a function of a degeneracy parameter fixed by the initial condition. Below these critical values, the homogeneous Lynden-Bell distribution is not a maximum entropy state but an unstable saddle point. Known stability criteria corresponding to the Maxwellian distribution and the water-bag distribution are recovered as particular limits of our study. In addition, we find a critical point below which the homogeneous Lynden-Bell distribution is always stable. We apply these results to the situation considered in Antoniazzi et al. For a given energy, we find a critical initial magnetization above which the homogeneous Lynden-Bell distribution ceases to be a maximum entropy state. For an energy U=0.69, this transition occurs above an initial magnetization Mx=0.897. In that case, the system should reach an inhomogeneous Lynden-Bell distribution (most mixed) or an incompletely mixed state (possibly fitted by a Tsallis distribution). Thus, our theoretical study proves that the dynamics is different for small and large initial magnetizations, in agreement with numerical results of Pluchino et al. (2004). This new dynamical phase transition may reconcile the two communities by showing that they study different regimes.  相似文献

In this study, using the base of coherent states, Landau diamagnetism has been generalized within Tsallis Thermostatistics. As far as we know, this is the first attempt to introduce coherent states in this formalism. The magnetization and the susceptibility of the system have been obtained and compared with the standard result to illustrate the effect of nonextensivity. Then, adding a perturbation term to the Hamiltonian of the system, nonextensive effects on diamagnetic susceptibility have been investigated. In addition to this, making use of the -deformed partition function of the -oscillator system, the magnetization for -deformed Landau diamagnetism has been derived, with the aim of comparing the results obtained within both formalisms. Conservative force fields in non-Gaussian statistics   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this Letter, we determine the κ-distribution function for a gas in the presence of an external field of force described by a potential U(r). In the case of a dilute gas, we show that the κ-power law distribution including the potential energy factor term can rigorously be deduced in the framework of kinetic theory with basis on the Vlasov equation. Such a result is significant as a preliminary to the discussion on the role of long range interactions in the Kaniadakis thermostatistics and the underlying kinetic theory.  相似文献

We consider the class of non-Hamiltonian and dissipative statistical systems with distributions that are determined by the Hamiltonian. The distributions are derived analytically as stationary solutions of the Liouville equation for non-Hamiltonian systems. The class of non-Hamiltonian systems can be described by a non-holonomic (non-integrable) constraint: the velocity of the elementary phase volume change is directly proportional to the power of non-potential forces. The coefficient of this proportionality is determined by Hamiltonian. The constant temperature systems, canonical-dissipative systems, and Fermi-Bose classical systems are the special cases of this class of non-Hamiltonian systems.  相似文献

Generalized probability distributions for Maxwell-Boltzmann, Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac statistics, with unequal source (“prior”) probabilities qi for each level i, are obtained by combinatorial reasoning. For equiprobable degenerate sublevels, these reduce to those given by Brillouin in 1930, more commonly given as a statistical weight for each statistic. These distributions and corresponding cross-entropy (divergence) functions are shown to be special cases of the Pólya urn model, involving neither independent nor identically distributed (“ninid”) sampling. The most probable Pólya distribution is shown to contain the Acharya-Swamy intermediate statistic.  相似文献

The linear Boltzmann equation for elastic and/or inelastic scattering is applied to derive the distribution function of a spatially homogeneous system of charged particles spreading in a host medium of two-level atoms and subjected to external electric and/or magnetic fields. We construct a Fokker-Planck approximation to the kinetic equations and derive the most general class of distributions for the given problem by discussing in detail some physically meaningful cases. The equivalence with the transport theory of electrons in a phonon background is also discussed.  相似文献

We propose a new definition of complexity. The definition shows that when a system evolves to a final state via a transient state, its complexity depends on the abundance of both the final state and transient state. The abundance of the transient state may be described by the diversity of the response to disturbance. We hope that this definition can describe a clear boundary between simple systems and complex systems by showing that all the simple systems have zero complexity, and all the complex systems have positive complexity. Some examples of the complexity calculations are presented, which supports our hope.  相似文献

The Tarazona model of molecular density functional theory is used to determine the adsorption isotherm and the density distribution of xenon atoms in zeolite NaA. We consider the alpha cage of NaA to be fully three-dimensional and we introduce a basis set for the density distribution to make the solution computationally tractable. The results of this density functional theory model are compared to previous results of grand canonical Monte Carlo simulations for the same system. We dedicate this paper to Professor Herbert Wagner, whose excellent contributions to density functional theory typify his valuable role in the advancement of statistical physics  相似文献

We develop an analytical technique to derive explicit forms of thermodynamical quantities within the asymptotic approach to non-extensive quantum distribution functions. Using it, we find an expression for the number of particles in a boson system which we compare with other approximate scheme (i.e. factorization approach), and with the recently obtained exact result. To do this, we investigate the predictions on Bose-Einstein condensation and the blackbody radiation. We find that both approximation techniques give results similar to (up to ) the exact ones, making them a useful tool for computations. Because of the simplicity of the factorization approach formulae, it appears that this is the easiest way to handle with physical systems which might exhibit slight deviations from extensivity. Starting with the relative entropy based on a previously proposed entropy function , we find the corresponding Fisher's information measure. After function redefinition we then maximize the Fisher information measure with respect to the new function and obtain a differential operator that reduces to a space coordinate second derivative in the q→1 limit. We then propose a simple differential equation for anomalous diffusion and show that its solutions are a generalization of the functions in the Barenblatt-Pattle solution. We find that the mean squared displacement, up to a q-dependent constant, has a time dependence according to 〈x2〉∼K1/qt1/q, where the parameter q takes values (superdiffusion) and (subdiffusion), ∀n?1.  相似文献

We present the numbers of dimer-monomers Md(n) on the Sierpinski gasket SGd(n) at stage n with dimension d equal to two, three and four. The upper and lower bounds for the asymptotic growth constant, defined as zSGd=limvlnMd(n)/v where v is the number of vertices on SGd(n), are derived in terms of the results at a certain stage. As the difference between these bounds converges quickly to zero as the calculated stage increases, the numerical value of zSGd can be evaluated with more than a hundred significant figures accurate. From the results for d=2,3,4, we conjecture the upper and lower bounds of zSGd for general dimension. The corresponding results on the generalized Sierpinski gasket SGd,b(n) with d=2 and b=3,4 are also obtained.  相似文献

In this Letter we analyse the behaviour of the probability density function of the sum of N deterministic variables generated from the triangle map of Casati-Prosen. For the case in which the map is both ergodic and mixing the resulting probability density function quickly concurs with the Normal distribution. However, when the map is weakly chaotic, and fuzzily not mixing, the resulting probability density functions are described by power-laws. Moreover, contrarily to what it would be expected, as the number of added variables N increases the distance to Gaussian distribution increases. This behaviour goes against standard central limit theorem. By extrapolation of our finite size results we preview that in the limit of N going to infinity the distribution has the same asymptotic decay as a Lorentzian (or a q=2-Gaussian).  相似文献
