As shown by Thanh Hao [Acta Math. Vietnam 31, 283–289, 2006], the solution existence results established by Facchinei and Pang [Finite-Dimensional Variational Inequalities and Complementarity Problems, vol. I (Springer, Berlin, 2003) Prop. 2.2.3 and Theorem 2.3.4] for variational inequalities (VIs) in general and for pseudomonotone VIs in particular, are very useful for studying the range of applicability of the Tikhonov regularization method. This paper proposes some extensions of these results of Facchinei and Pang to the case of generalized variational inequalities (GVI) and of variational inequalities in infinite-dimensional reflexive Banach spaces. In this paper we consider a Walrasian pure exchange economy with utility function which is a particular case of a general economic equilibrium problem, without production. We assume that each agent is endowed with at least of a commodity, his preferences are expressed by an utility function and it prevails a competitive behaviour: each agent regards the prices payed and received as independent of his own choices. The Walrasian equilibrium can be characterized as a solution to a quasi-variational inequality. By using this variational approach, our goal is to prove an existence result of equilibrium solutions.  相似文献

The Generalized Nash equilibrium problem is an important model that has its roots in the economic sciences but is being fruitfully used in many different fields. In this survey paper we aim at discussing its main properties and solution algorithms, pointing out what could be useful topics for future research in the field. The D-gap function, recently introduced by Peng and further studied by Yamashita et al., allows a smooth unconstrained minimization reformulation of the general variational inequality problem. This paper is concerned with the D-gap function for variational inequality problems over a box or, equivalently, mixed complementarity problems. The purpose of this paper is twofold. First we investigate theoretical properties in depth of the D-gap function, such as the optimality of stationary points, bounded level sets, global error bounds and generalized Hessians. Next we present a nonsmooth Gauss-Newton type algorithm for minimizing the D-gap function, and report extensive numerical results for the whole set of problems in the MCPLIB test problem collection. In this paper, we introduce an iterative process for finding the common element of the set of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of the variational inequality problem for an αα-inverse-strongly-monotone mapping. We obtain a weak convergence theorem for a sequence generated by this process. Moreover, we apply our result to the problem for finding a common element of the set of equilibrium problems and the set of solutions of the variational inequality problem of a monotone mapping.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a hybrid extragradient iterative method for finding the approximate element of the common set of solutions of a generalized equilibrium problem, a system of variational inequality problems, a variational inequality problem and a fixed point problem for a strictly pseudocontractive mapping in a real Hilbert space. Further we establish a strong convergence theorem based on this method. The results presented in this paper improves and generalizes the results given in Yao et al. [36] and Ceng et al. An Ergodic Algorithm for the Power-Control Games for CDMA Data Networks   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this paper, we consider power control for the uplink of a direct-sequence code-division multiple-access data network. In the uplink, the purpose of power control is for each user to transmit enough power so that it can achieve the required quality of service without causing unnecessary interference to other users in the system. One method that has been very successful in solving this purpose for power control is the game-theoretic approach. The problem for power control is modified as a Nash equilibrium problem in which each user can choose its transmit power in order to maximize its own utility, and a Nash equilibrium is an ideal solution of the power-control game. We present a noncooperative power-control game in which each user can choose the transmit power in a way that it gets the sufficient signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and maximizes its own utility. To ensure the existence of a solution, we also propose the variational inequality problem which is connected with the proposed game. On a linear receiver, we deal with the matched filter receiver. Next we present a new ergodic algorithm for the proposed power control because the existing iterative algorithms can not be applied effectively to the proposed power control. We also present convergence analysis for the proposed algorithm. In addition, applying the proposed algorithm to the proposed power control, we provide numerical examples for the transmit power, the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and so on. Numerical results for the proposed algorithm shall show that as compared with the existing power-control game and its method, all users in the network can enjoy the sufficient signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and achieve the required quality of service.   相似文献

We introduce an iterative method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and of the set of fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings in a Hilbert space. We apply the Douglas-Rachford splitting algorithm to a class of multi-valued equations consisting of the sum of two monotone mappings. Compared with the dual application of the same algorithm, which is known as the alternating direction method of multipliers, the primal application yields algorithms that seem somewhat involved. However, the resulting algorithms may be applied effectively to problems with certain special structure. In particular we show that they can be used to derive decomposition algorithms for solving the variational inequality formulation of the traffic equilibrium problem. By using Gerstewitz functions, we establish a new equilibrium version of Ekeland variational principle, which improves the related results by weakening both the lower boundedness and the lower semi-continuity of the ob jective bimaps. Applying the new version of Ekeland principle, we obtain some existence theorems on solutions for set-valued vector equilibrium problems, where the most used assumption on compactness of domains is weakened. In the setting of complete metric spaces(Z,d), we present an existence result of solutions for set-valued vector equilibrium problems, which only requires that the domain XZ is countably compact in any Hausdorff topology weaker than that induced by d. When(Z, d) is a Féchet space(i.e., a complete metrizable locally convex space), our existence result only requires that the domain XZ is weakly compact. Furthermore, in the setting of non-compact domains, we deduce several existence theorems on solutions for set-valued vector equilibrium problems,which extend and improve the related known results.  相似文献

We introduce a W-mapping for a finite family of relatively quasi-nonexpansive mappings and construct an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the solution set of equilibrium problem, the solution set of the variational inequality problem for an inverse-strongly-monotone operator and set of common fixed points of a finite family of relatively quasi-nonexpansive mappings. Strong convergence theorems are presented in a 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space. Our results generalize and extend relative results.  相似文献

In this paper, the notion of gap functions is extended from scalar case to vector one. Then, gap functions and generalized functions for several kinds of vector equilibrium problems are shown. As an application, the dual problem of a class of optimization problems with a system of vector equilibrium constraints (in short, OP) is established, the concavity of the dual function, the weak duality of (OP) and the saddle point sufficient condition are derived by using generalized gap functions. In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme based on the extragradient approximation method for finding a common element of the set of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings, the set of solutions of a mixed equilibrium problem, and the set of solutions of the variational inequality problem for a monotone L-Lipschitz continuous mapping in a real Hilbert space. Then, the strong convergence theorem is proved under some parameters controlling conditions. Applications to optimization problems are given. The results obtained in this paper improve and extend the recent ones announced by Wangkeeree [R.
