In order to improve the performance of the two-cell stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) system, this paper proposes the methods of using mixtures, which require amplifier media to have small absorption rate, and generator media to have high optical breakdown threshold and Brillouin frequency shift equal to that of the amplification media. The characteristics of the two-cell SBS system are studied experimentally by using CCl4 as amplifier medium and CCl4, C2H5OH and CCl4/C2H5OH liquid mixture as generator medium pumped by Nd:YAG Q-switched laser. The obtained results show that liquid mixture in generator cell improves the power load ability, phase conjugation fidelity, energy reflectivity (ER) and ER stability.  相似文献

In order to measure the Brillouin frequency shift (BFS) of the medium, this paper proposes a method using mixtures in a two-cell stimulated Brillouin scattering system, which uses a medium to be measured as amplifier medium and a mixture medium as generator medium. The seed light from the generator gains effective amplification in the amplifier and the amplification ratio changes with the mixing fraction. Only when the BFS of the mixture medium is equal to that of the medium in the amplifier does the seed light obtain the maximum amplification ratio. The method has the advantage of independence of the wavelength of the incident light.  相似文献

研究了受激布里渊散射振_放双池系统中振荡池和放大池选用不同种类介质的情况.理论分析 结果表明,当两种介质的布里渊频移接近,布里渊线宽有交叉时,系统仍具有放大作用.采 用CCl4作为放大池介质,CCl4/CS2的混合介质作为振荡池介质,利用Nd:YAG调Q 激光研究了布里渊频移的偏离对布里渊放大的影响,结果表明,当布里渊频移的偏离较小时 ,其种子光放大率和种子光脉宽压缩率仍然很大.采用CS2作为放大池介质,苯作为振荡池 介质,对振 放双池系统进行了实验研究,其种子光放大率达到44,种子光脉宽压缩率为 72,相位共轭保真度为98%,种子光放大率的稳定度小于3%. 关键词: 受激布里渊散射 布里渊放大 布里渊频移 布里渊线宽  相似文献

从介质化学结构与吸收系数的关系入手,寻找出系列吸收系数小,适合作为放大池介质的新介质,例如四氯乙烯(C2Cl4),1,3-六氯丁二烯(C4Cl6)和六氟化苯(C6F6)等,并计算或测量了入射光波长为1.064μm时的新介质受激布里渊散射(SBS)参数.在双池SBS系统的放大池中分别选用C2Cl4和C4Cl6,振荡池中均选用光学击穿阈值高,并且布里渊频移与C2Cl4和C4Cl6的布里渊频移非常接近的乙醇(C2H5OH),并利用Nd:YAG调Q激光器研究了该系统的性能.实验结果表明,该系统具有高负载能力,高相位共轭保真度和高能量反射率稳定度等性能. 关键词: 受激布里渊散射 双池SBS系统 新介质  相似文献

 从介质对光的吸收机理出发,研究了吸收系数较小的受激布里渊散射(SBS)新介质六氯-1,3-丁二烯(C4Cl6)。通过基本的物理参数,确定了入射光波长为1 064 nm时C4Cl6的SBS参数,其吸收系数约为0.003 cm-1,声子寿命约为0.25 ns,增益系数约为4.9 cm·GW-1。分析了入射光波长与介质SBS参数的关系,布里渊频移与入射光波长成反比,声子寿命与入射光波长的平方成正比,增益系数一般与入射光波长无关。在单池SBS系统中,利用Nd:YAG调Q激光器研究了C4Cl6的SBS性能。实验结果表明:由于其吸收系数小,与具有相同增益系数的H2O比较,C4Cl6具有较高的能量反射率(饱和能量反射率大于55%)和较宽的SBS脉宽;由于其声子寿命短,与具有相同吸收系数的CS2比较,C4Cl6的SBS波形上升时间较短。吸收系数小和声子寿命短的特点,使C4Cl6适合作为放大池介质,这对优化SBS介质选取,提高SBS系统性能具有一定意义。  相似文献

A phase conjugating mirror combining a fused silica rod and an optical fiber is presented. This configuration combines a large diameter fused silica rod with a high laser damage threshold and an optical fiber with a low stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) threshold. The composed SBS generator-amplifier construction, similar to the two-cell type makes a forced SBS process, in which the Stokes beam reflected by the fiber is injected into the fused silica rod. Using this combined phase conjugating mirror in a laser-diode-pumped laser master oscillator power amplifier system, we obtained 42% SBS reflectivity at most at 100 Hz repetition rate. At the same time, the inverse beam quality parameter M(2) is reduced from 3 to 1.6, while at 400 Hz repetition rate, M(2) is reduced from 4 to 1.7.  相似文献

实验研究了双池受激布里渊散射系统中的脉冲压缩。通过简单地改变双池间距可以获得脉宽可调的优质光束,脉宽可调范围依赖于抽运能量。增大抽运能量,脉宽可调范围也相应地增大。对双池受激布里渊散射系统的脉冲波形进行了数值模拟,理论计算结果与实验符合得很好。  相似文献

受激布里渊散射转换效率及相位共轭保真度的稳定性与泵浦脉冲的前沿上升时间有关,对前沿上升时间与介质声学声子寿命接近的泵浦脉冲,在泵浦能量超过受激布里渊散射阈值较多时,会造成严重的相位共轭保真度不稳定。本文针对上升前沿时间为2ns的泵浦脉冲及声学声子寿命的1ns和CCl4介质,在泵浦脉冲前沿根部引入缓慢上升的小信号后,采用振放双池受激布里渊散射相位共轭镜,在泵浦激光能量达到500倍受激布里渊散射阈值时  相似文献

在强激光放大系统中,使用C_3H_6O作为非线性介质,获得了高效的SBS效应,Stokes波一次反射率~60%,末级激光放大器对Stokes波的能量放大率达到3,Stokes波脉宽压缩率为4,功率放大系数达到12,经SBS后,激光近场强度分布得到明显改善,在强泵浦下,Stokes波了现高频调制。对实验结果及其应用前景进行了讨论。  相似文献

研究了光纤激光器前向抽运的S波段分布式光纤拉曼放大器中级联的受激布里渊散射(SBS)串扰现象。用窄光谱带宽(<100MHz)的可调谐激光二极管作为信号源,通过S波段分布式光纤拉曼放大器,当被放大的信号功率超过单模光纤受激布里渊散射的阈值时,出现了前向受激布里渊散射,这是传导声波布里渊散射在光纤放大器中放大的现象。随着拉曼放大器抽运功率的提高,在斯托克斯区,出现了两阶受激布里渊散射线,在实验中观测到偶数阶的受激布里渊散射谱线功率大于奇数阶的布里渊一瑞利散射线。当进一步增加拉曼放大器的抽运功率,出现了前向级联的多阶受激布里渊散射现象,拉曼放大器的增益下降,被放大的信号功率转换为受激布里渊散射,噪声变大。受激布里渊散射的串扰破坏了拉曼放大器的特性,使拉曼放大器无法在密集波分复用光纤传输系统中使用,因此需要严格地控制入纤的信号功率和放大器的抽运功率。在实验中还观测到在光纤拉曼放大器中被放大的信号光和受激布里渊散射线两侧的伴线。  相似文献

An oscillator-amplifier XeCl laser system has been used to experimentally investigate the effectiveness of a liquid stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) mirror for correcting the spatial aberrations of broad-band laser radiation in a double-pass amplifier. It has been found that the SBS amplifier performance is strongly dependent on the intensity I p exciting the Brillouin medium. A good beam reconstruction has been attained at I p1GW/cm2, whereas highly aberrated output beams have been delivered by the SBS amplifier for I p>1 GW/cm2. By comparing the broad-band SBS amplifier performance to that of the same amplifier with a dielectrically coated flat mirror at one end, it has been found that the use of a SBS mirror is advantageous to obtain lower divergence output beams only for low energy pump beams (<1 mJ).  相似文献

The amplification effect on stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) and Rayleigh scattering in the backward pumped G652 fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) is studied. The pump source is a 1427.2-nm fiber Raman laser whose power is tunable between 0 - 1200 mW, and the signal source is a tunable narrow spectral bandwidth (〈 10 MHz) external cavity laser (ECL). The Rayleigh scattering lines are amplified by the FRA and Stokes SBS lines are amplified by the FRA and the fiber Brillouin amplifier. The total gain of SBS lines is the production of the gain of Raman amplifier and that of Brillouin amplifier. In experiment, the SBS gain is about 42 dB and the saturation gain of 25-km G652 backward FRA is about 25 dB, so the gain of fiber Brillouin amplifier is about 17 dB.  相似文献

A single-mode polarization-maintaining fiber doped to increase the Raman gain while suppressing stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) was utilized in a single-stage counter-pumped Raman fiber amplifier. The SBS suppression was achieved through the acoustic tailoring of the core. A pump probe experiment was conducted to characterize the Brillouin gain and indicated the existence of multiple Brillouin peaks. When the amplifier was seeded with approximately 15 mW of 1178 nm light, 11.5 W of cw output power was obtained with a linewidth ≤2 MHz. The application of a thermal gradient to further mitigate the SBS process increased the output power to 18 W, thus providing a net amplifier gain >30 dB.  相似文献

本文报道了在CCl_4液体中受激布里渊散射的阈值性能.研究了产生受激布里渊散射相位共轭波的阈值是随所用聚焦透镜的焦距,泵浦激光的脉宽和发散角等的变化而变化.实验表明,适当地增加聚焦透镜的焦距,即提高受激布里渊散射的阈值能量可以显著地消除受激布里渊散射与其它非线性效应的竞争.  相似文献

在传统的独立双池结构的受激布里渊相位共轭镜中,引入修整放大池,采用主放大池与修整放大池相结合的双布里渊放大池结构控制脉冲波形,主放大池控制脉冲的整体波形,而修整放大池对脉冲波形进行微调. 研究了抽运光功率密度对双布里渊放大池放大控制脉冲波形的影响,得到了不同抽运光功率密度下,脉冲波形随双池间距的变化规律. 研究表明,抽运光功率密度决定了种子光的放大效率,是控制脉冲波形的重要参数. 关键词: 受激布里渊散射 布里渊放大 脉冲波形控制  相似文献

Strong multi-order forward stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) has been observed in the backward pumped S-band distributed fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) with tunable narrow signal source (less than 100 MHz) when the pump power of FRA reached the SBS threshold. This does not obey the theory that only weak backward SBS lines exist according to the conservation of energy and momentum and the wave vector selected rule. This is because the sound waveguide characteristic weakens the wave vector rule, and the forward transmitted sound waveguide Brillouin scattering lines are generated and amplified in FRA.When the pump power is further increased, 11 orders of SBS lines and comb-like profile are observed. For the excited line, the frequency is 197.2296 THz and the power is 0 dBm. The even order SBS lines are stronger than odd order SBS lines, the power of the 2nd and 4th order SBS lines is 1.75 dBm, which is 16 dB higher than that of the 1st and 3rd order SBS lines. The odd order SBS lines are named BrillouinRayleigh scattering lines.  相似文献

 介绍了过氧化氢催化分解气体加酒精补燃以提高气体发生器排气温度的理论计算和分析方法,并建立了一套实验研究装置。 装置中质量分数为90%的过氧化氢溶液由高压气挤推,通过催化床完成催化分解,产生高温气体;质量分数为97%的酒精溶液经由分布喷嘴喷入过氧化氢分解气体中发生自燃,从而提高气体温度。实验研究了采用不同酒精喷入形式和参数对气体发生器排气温度均匀性的影响。结果表明:利用沿气体发生器燃烧室周向分布的多喷嘴进行酒精喷注,并与高浓度过氧化氢催化分解气体进行混合燃烧的方法,能够有效提高气体发生器的排气温度,并得到均匀的排气温度场。  相似文献
