The hypernuclei Σ6H and Σ16C were observed by the (K, π+) reaction on targets of 6Li and liquid O, respectively, at 713 MeV/c incident K momentum. Structure is seen in Σ6H which may be interpreted in terms of particle-hole excitations similar to the previously observed states in Λ6Li. The inablitity to resolve individual Σ hypernuclear levels in Σ16C, due in part to the excitation of non-coherent states as a result of the large momentum transfer of about 130 MeV/c, precludes the extraction of the Σ-nucleus spin-orbit potential strength. The Σ-nucleus well depth appears to be 7 to 10 MeV less than that for the Λ.  相似文献

Spin-lattice relaxation time T 1 is determined for protons in three polycrystals (CH3NH3)5Bi2Cl11, (CD3NH3)5Bi2Cl11 and (CH3ND3)5Bi2Cl11. The temperature dependence of the relaxation times obtained for (CH3NH3)5Bi2Cl11 and (CD3NH3)5Bi2Cl11 are interpreted as a result of correlated motions of the three-proton groups of the monomethylammonium cation. 2H NMR lines of (CD3NH3)3Sb2Br9 have been recorded between 5 K and 291 K using solid echo method. The 2H NMR line shape analysis shows that characteristic shape of tunnelling methyl group appears at about 25 K and coming down with temperature up to 5 K is more distinct. From theoretical calculation, it has been found that in the quadrupolar constants is 161.3 kHz and tunnelling frequency is above 3 MHz.  相似文献

Small-angle cross sections are calculated for 6Li(K, π+)Σ6H at 720 MeV/c, in order to intepret the data of the preceding paper. Due to the spin-isospin selectivity of ΣN → ΛN conversion, the substitution 1sN → 1sΣ leads to a narrow resonance high in the Σ continuum. Further tests of selectivity with 3,4He targets are suggested. The energy shifts of Σ states which arise from the spin-isospin dependence of the ΣN interaction are discussed.  相似文献

Coherent Λπ production on Pb of 600 GeV Σ hyperons has been studied with the SELEX facility at Fermilab. Using the Primakoff formalism, we set a 90% CL upper limit on the radiative decay width Γ[Σ(1385)→Σγ]<9.5 keV, and estimate the cross section for γΣ→Λπ at  GeV to be 56±16 μb.  相似文献

Comparison of the channel spectra of medium energy ion scattering, visualized for LaAlO3/(001)SrTiO3 heterostructures with a thickness of the lanthanum aluminate layer of one to six unit cells, indicates that the lanthanum aluminate layer grows coherently on a TiO2-terminated surface of a strontium titanate substrate. The resistance of the interphase boundary in the heterostructure with a thickness of the LaAlO3 layer of six unit cells decreased with temperature. At T < 100 K, the positive magnetoresistance and Hall mobility of electrons increased sharply with decreasing temperature.

An improved set of molecular constants and term values are given for the X2Π (v = 0–13) and B2Σ+ (v = 0 and 1) states of the OH radical. They are derived from a fit of previously published laboratory data and additional lines taken from infrared solar spectra recorded on orbit.  相似文献

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra of a GdMnO3/SrTiO3 thin film in the X band have been measured in the temperature interval from 200 to 450 K. Signals from two types of paramagnetic centers have been observed in the spectra. The first paramagnetic center is a subsystem of Gd3+ ions, in the EPR spectrum of which the fine structure lines are resolved below 350 K. The second paramagnetic center is a system of manganese and gadolinium ions, in the EPR spectrum of which an exchange-narrowed line is observed with the width ΔH several times less than the width ΔH of an exchange-narrowed line observed in the GdMnO3 single crystal. Unusual magnetic properties are due to the mismatch of the lattice parameters of the GdMnO3 thin film and the SrTiO3 substrate.  相似文献

The glass contains two or three rare-earth elements. The concentration dependence of the intensity and lifetime of the luminescence is used to discuss Yb-Nd, Yb-Pr, and Nd-Pr interactions and energy-transfer modes. The quenching action oi Pr is found to exceed the sensitizing action for Yb.We are indebted to P. P. Feofilov for direction in this work and to V. P. The VF3-type compounds MF3 with M = Fe and Ga have been studied by high-pressure energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction. The compression mechanism was found to be highly anisotropic for both compounds, with the c-axis showing little pressure dependence. The volume reduction is mainly achieved through coupled rotations of the MF6 octahedra around the c-axis, which reduces the length of the a-axis. The compression mechanism of both compounds is reasonably well described in terms of deformation of an 8/3/c2 sphere-packing model up to the pressures where the fluorine atoms become hexagonally close-packed. It is proposed that both compounds enter a phase with the fluorine atom arranged in a “super-dense” sphere packing at higher pressures. The zero pressure bulk modulus of FeF3 and GaF3 was determined as 12(2) and 37(3) GPa, respectively, and a scaling relation between the zero pressure bulk modulus and unit cell volumes was found for TiF3, CrF3, FeF3 and GaF3.  相似文献

A novel white-light interferometry capable of retrieving the absolute optical path difference is presented, in which a 3x3 coupler-based interferometer is employed. Dielectric properties of ceramic samples of a 0.85SrTiO3-0.15KTaO3 solid solution have been studied. The temperature dependence of the dielectric permittivity exhibits maxima with a strong frequency dispersion, which is described by the Vogel-Fulcher law with a characteristic temperature T g=26 K. We calculate the effective interaction between a 3d impurity and conduction electrons resulting from an Anderson mixing interaction taken to second order. The orbital state of the impurity in the crystal field is taken into account. The results, which are tabulated in detail, exhibit coupling of the conduction electrons to the impurity's orbital degrees of freedom as well as to its spin.  相似文献

Single-domain barium titanate crystals exhibit unusual scattering and fanning phenomena. Some models which contribute to this effect are described and an analysis presented and related to the experimental observations. These phenomena depend on the illumination geometry; in particular, for the case of illumination of the +c face, the fanning strongly depends on angle of incidence, illuminating beam profile, wavelength, polarization and temperature but only weakly depends on input laser power. In the case of -c face and a face illumination, a dependence of the (conical diffraction) ring angle on wavelength and input power was observed and modelled.  相似文献
