The propagation of electromagnetic waves in the vacuum is considered taking into account quantum fluctuations in the limits of Maxwell-Langevin (ML) equations. For a model of “white noise” fluctuations, using ML equations, a second order partial differential equation is found which describes the quantum distribution of virtual particles in vacuum. It is proved that in order to satisfy observed facts, the Lamb Shift etc, the virtual particles should be quantized in unperturbed vacuum. It is shown that the quantized virtual particles in toto (approximately 86 percent) are condensed on the “ground state” energy level. It is proved that the extension of Maxwell electrodynamics with inclusion of the vacuum quantum field fluctuations may be constructed on a 6D space-time continuum with a 2D compactified subspace. Their influence on the refraction indexes of vacuum is studied.  相似文献

Nonequilibrium spin transport through an interacting quantum dot is analyzed. The coherent spin oscillations in the dot provide a generating source for spin current. In the interacting regime, the Kondo effect is influenced in a significant way by the presence of the processing magnetic field. In particular, when the precession frequency is tuned to resonance between spin-up and spin-down states of the dot, Kondo singularity for each spin splits into a superposition of two resonance peaks. The Kondo-type cotunneling contribution is manifested by a large enhancement of the pumped spin current in the strong coupling low temperature regime.  相似文献

从理论上研究了相互作用量子点在外部旋转磁场下的非平衡自旋输运性质,研究结果表明,量子点中的相干自旋振荡可以导致自旋电流的产生,当计入库仑关联相互作用后,近藤共振效应受外部进动磁场的影响很强,特别是当磁场的进动频率与塞曼能移满足共振条件时,每个自旋近藤峰就会劈裂为两个自旋共振峰的叠加,在低温强耦合区,这种近藤型共隧穿过程对自旋电流带来重要贡献。  相似文献

The lattice response of solid para-H2 to an impulsive electronic excitation was studied using femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy. The evolution of an electronic bubble in the crystal, created upon excitation of the A(3ssigma) Rydberg state of an NO impurity, was followed in real time, with a resolution of 100 fs. The experimental results, interpreted in connection with molecular dynamics simulations with quantum corrections, indicate the presence of three stages in the dynamics: a sub-100 fs "adiabatic" phase, a 0.5-1 ps phase, corresponding to the interaction of the first with the next shells driven by the bubble expansion, and a 5 ps phase, corresponding to a slow rearrangement of the environment surrounding the impurity. These findings indicate that the lattice response in solid para-H2 resembles that of a liquid.  相似文献

A procedure is given for solving the sine-Gordon equation with boundary conditions which define the physical problem of superfluorescent emission from an inverted and spatially extended medium. The shape of the leading pulse is calculated. An important new result is a verification and extension of the form of the expression of MacGillivray and Feld and of Skribanowitz, Herman, MacGillivray and Feld for the delay time τD in oscillating superfluorescence.  相似文献

A possibility of creating photons from vacuum due to the nonstationary Casimir effect in a weakly damped nondegenerate cavity with vibrating boundaries is analyzed in the case of a nonzero detuning from the exact resonance. It is shown that the photon generation is possible provided that the relative detuning and inverse quality factor do not exceed the critical value of the order of 10−8. Under this condition, the field goes finally to a highly squeezed quantum state.  相似文献

The behavior of quarks is described within approaches used in quantum mechanics and related disciplines (quantum optics and quantum theory of information). The stochastic vacuum of quantum chromodynamics is treated as an environment (closed pool) for color particles (quarks). Their interaction results in a loss of information on the quark color state and consequently in the impossibility of observing it (the confinement of quarks). The processes are described using quantities of the quantum theory of information, such as von Neumann entropy, fidelity, and purity.  相似文献

Several thermodynamic relations for the vacuum state have been derived by assuming that it behaves like a relativistic perfect simple fluid. Unlike the usual fluids, the vacuum becomes hotter when it undergoes an adiabatic expansion (TV −1=const). A new Lorentz-invariant spectrum for the vacuum is also suggested which is compatible with the usual equation of statep=−ρ and the other thermodynamic constraints. Some cosmological consequences of these results have also been discussed.  相似文献

We study the vacuum structure in QCD in a nonperturbative manner using a variational approach with gluon condensates. We show that in Coulomb gauge as the coupling becomes moderately strong, the perturbative vacuum of QCD becomes unstable leading to gluon condensates and a gauge dependent effective mass for the gluons related to the gauge independent value of 〈vac‖G μν a G aμν‖vac〉 of Shifmanet al.  相似文献

Even when the Higgs particle is finally detected, it will continue to be a legitimate question to ask whether the inertia of matter as a reaction force opposing acceleration is an intrinsic or extrinsic property of matter. General relativity specifies which geodesic path a free particle will follow, but geometrodynamics has no mechanism for generating a reaction force for deviation from geodesic motion. We discuss a different approach involving the electromagnetic zero‐point field (ZPF) of the quantum vacuum. It has been found that certain asymmetries arise in the ZPF as perceived from an accelerating reference frame. In such a frame the Poynting vector and momentum flux of the ZPF become non‐zero. Scattering of this quantum radiation by the quarks and electrons in matter can result in an acceleration‐dependent reaction force. Both the ordinary and the relativistic forms of Newton's second law, the equation of motion, can be derived from the electrodynamics of such ZPF‐particle interactions. Conjectural arguments are given why this interaction should take place in a resonance at the Compton frequency, and how this could simultaneously provide a physical basis for the de Broglie wavelength of a moving particle. This affords a suggestive perspective on a deep connection between electrodynamics, the origin of inertia and the quantum wave nature of matter.  相似文献

In previous work it has been shown that the electromagnetic quantum vacuum, or electromagnetic zero‐point field, makes a contribution to the inertial reaction force on an accelerated object. We show that the result for inertial mass can be extended to passive gravitational mass. As a consequence the weak equivalence principle, which equates inertial to passive gravitational mass, appears to be explainable. This in turn leads to a straightforward derivation of the classical Newtonian gravitational force. We call the inertia and gravitation connection with the vacuum fields the quantum vacuum inertia hypothesis . To date only the electromagnetic field has been considered. It remains to extend the hypothesis to the effects of the vacuum fields of the other interactions. We propose an idealized experiment involving a cavity resonator which, in principle, would test the hypothesis for the simple case in which only electromagnetic interactions are involved. This test also suggests a basis for the free parameter η(ν) which we have previously defined to parametrize the interaction between charge and the electromagnetic zero‐point field contributing to the inertial mass of a particle or object.  相似文献

The dynamic response of a poroelastic stratum subjected to moving load is studied. The governing dynamic equations for poroelastic medium are solved by using Fourier transform. The general solutions for the stresses and displacements in the transformed domain are established. Based on the general solutions, with the consideration of boundary conditions, the final expressions of stresses and displacements in physical domain are put forward for the three-dimensional single-layer medium. Some numerical solutions for the stresses, displacements and pore fluid pressure are presented and reveal that the response of a poroelastic stratum varies obviously with the moving velocity.  相似文献

The resonance behaviors of a few lipid-coated microbubbles acoustically activated in viscoelastic media were comprehensively examined via radius response analysis. The size polydispersity and random spatial distribution of the interacting microbubbles, the rheological properties of the lipid shell and the viscoelasticity of the surrounding medium were considered simultaneously. The obtained radius response curves present a successive occurrence of linear resonances, nonlinear harmonic and sub-harmonic resonances with the acoustic pressure increasing. The microbubble resonance is radius-, pressure- and frequency-dependent. Specifically, the maximum bubble expansion ratio at the main resonance peak increases but the resonant radius decreases as the ultrasound pressure increases, while both of them decrease with the ultrasound frequency increasing. Moreover, compared to an isolated microbubble case, it is found that large microbubbles in close proximity prominently suppress the resonant oscillations while slightly increase the resonant radii for both harmonic and subharmonic resonances, even leading to the disappearance of the subharmonic resonance with the influences increasing to a certain degree. In addition, the results also suggest that both the encapsulating shell and surrounding medium can substantially dampen the harmonic and subharmonic resonances while increase the resonant radii, which seem to be affected by the medium viscoelasticity to a greater degree rather than the shell properties. This work offers valuable insights into the resonance behaviors of microbubbles oscillating in viscoelastic biological media, greatly contributing to further optimizing their biomedical applications.  相似文献
