This paper studies second-order optimality conditions for a semilinear elliptic optimal control problem with mixed pointwise constraints. We show that in some cases, there is a common critical cone under which the second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for the problem are valid. Our results approach to a theory of no-gap second-order conditions. In order to obtain such results, we reduce the problem to a special mathematical programming problem with polyhedricity constraint set. We then use some tools of variational analysis and techniques of semilinear elliptic equations to analyze second-order conditions.  相似文献

Motivated by our recent works on optimality conditions in discrete optimal control problems under a nonconvex cost function, in this paper, we study second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for a discrete optimal control problem with a nonconvex cost function and state-control constraints. By establishing an abstract result on second-order optimality conditions for a mathematical programming problem, we derive second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for a discrete optimal control problem. Using a common critical cone for both the second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions, we obtain “no-gap” between second-order optimality conditions.  相似文献

Semidefinite positiveness of operators on Euclidean spaces is characterized. Using this characterization, we compute in a direct way the first-order and second-order tangent sets to the cone of semidefinite positive operators on such a space. These characterizations are useful for optimality conditions in semidefinite programming.  相似文献

We discuss first and second order optimality conditions for nonlinear second-order cone programming problems, and their relation with semidefinite programming problems. For doing this we extend in an abstract setting the notion of optimal partition. Then we state a characterization of strong regularity in terms of second order optimality conditions. This is the first time such a characterization is given for a nonpolyhedral conic problem. Dedicated to R.T. Rockafellar on the occasion of his 70th birthday. We study second-order optimality conditions for mathematical programs with equilibrium constraints (MPEC). Firstly, we improve some second-order optimality conditions for standard nonlinear programming problems using some newly discovered constraint qualifications in the literature, and apply them to MPEC. Then, we introduce some MPEC variants of these new constraint qualifications, which are all weaker than the MPEC linear independence constraint qualification, and derive several second-order optimality conditions for MPEC under the new MPEC constraint qualifications. Finally, we discuss the isolatedness of local minimizers for MPEC under very weak conditions.  相似文献

Positive semidefinite Hankel matrices arise in many important applications. Some of their properties may be lost due to rounding or truncation errors incurred during evaluation. The problem is to find the nearest matrix to a given matrix to retrieve these properties. The problem is converted into a semidefinite programming problem as well as a problem comprising a semidefined program and second-order cone problem. The duality and optimality conditions are obtained and the primal–dual algorithm is outlined. Explicit expressions for a diagonal preconditioned and crossover criteria have been presented. Computational results are presented. A possibility for further improvement is indicated.  相似文献

In this paper we study second-order optimality conditions for the multi-objective programming problems with both inequality constraints and equality constraints. Two weak second-order constraint qualifications are introduced, and based on them we derive several second-order necessary conditions for a local weakly efficient solution. We develop optimality conditions for the second-order cone program. Our optimality conditions are well-defined and smooth everywhere. We then reformulate the optimality conditions into several systems of equations. Starting from a solution to the original problem, the sequence generated by Newton’s method converges Q-quadratically to a solution of the perturbed problem under some assumptions. We globalize the algorithm by (1) extending the gradient descent method for differentiable optimization to minimizing continuous functions that are almost everywhere differentiable; (2) finding a directional derivative of the equations. Numerical examples confirm that our algorithm is good for “warm starting” second-order cone programs—in some cases, the solution of a perturbed instance is hit in two iterations. In the progress of our algorithm development, we also generalize the nonlinear complementarity function approach for two variables to several variables.  相似文献

In this article, we study the second-order optimality conditions for a class of circular conic optimization problem. First, the explicit expressions of the tangent cone and the second-order tangent set for a given circular cone are derived. Then, we establish the closed-form formulation of critical cone and calculate the “sigma” term of the aforementioned optimization problem. At last, in light of tools of variational analysis, we present the associated no gap second-order optimality conditions. Compared to analogous results in the literature, our approach is intuitive and straightforward, which can be manipulated and verified. An example is illustrated to this end.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce a second-order modified contingent cone and a second-order modified contingent epiderivative. We discuss some properties of the second-order cone and the epiderivative, respectively. Moreover, a Fritz John type necessary optimality condition is obtained for the set-valued optimization problems with constraints by using the second-order modified contingent epiderivative and an example is proposed to explain the Fritz John type necessary optimality condition. In particular, we obtain a unified second-order sufficient and necessary optimality condition for the set-valued optimization problems with constraints under twice differentiable L-quasi-convex assumption.  相似文献

The concept of a cone subarcwise connected set-valued map is introduced. Several examples are given to illustrate that the cone subarcwise connected set-valued map is a proper generalization of the cone arcwise connected set-valued map, as well as the arcwise connected set is a proper generalization of the convex set, respectively. Then, by virtue of the generalized second-order contingent epiderivative, second-order necessary optimality conditions are established for a point pair to be a local global proper efficient element of set-valued optimization problems. When objective function is cone subarcwise connected, a second-order sufficient optimality condition is also obtained for a point pair to be a global proper efficient element of set-valued optimization problems.  相似文献

Just as first-order directional derivatives can be associated with concepts of tangent cone, so second-order directional derivatives of parabolic type can be naturally and profitably associated with second-order tangent sets. In this paper, a chain rule is presented for second-order directional derivatives whose corresponding tangent sets satisfy a short list of properties. This chain rule subsumes and sharpens previous results from the calculus of first- and second-order directional derivatives. The paper considers a class of vector optimization problems with cone constrained generalized equations. By virtue of advanced tools of variational analysis and generalized differentiation, a limiting normal cone of the graph of the normal cone constrained by the second-order cone is obtained. Based on the calmness condition, we derive an upper estimate of the coderivative for a composite set-valued mapping. The necessary optimality condition for the problem is established under the linear independent constraint qualification. As a special case, the obtained optimality condition is simplified with the help of strict complementarity relaxation conditions. The numerical results on different examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the optimality conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we first establish some sufficient and some necessary global optimality conditions for quadratic integer programming problems. Then we present a new local optimization method for quadratic integer programming problems according to its necessary global optimality conditions. A new global optimization method is proposed by combining its sufficient global optimality conditions, local optimization method and an auxiliary function. The numerical examples are also presented to show that the proposed optimization methods for quadratic integer programming problems are very efficient and stable.  相似文献

In this paper, by virtue of an asymptotic second-order contingent derivative and an asymptotic second-order Φ-contingent cone, differential properties of a class of set-valued maps are investigated and an explicit expression of their asymptotic second-order contingent derivatives is established.
