The ability of bacteria to reduce pertechnetate in alkaline conditions was investigated using halophilic bacteria isolated from soda-lakes environments. Anaerobic halophilic bacteria were able to reduce as much as 0.25 mM pertechnetate, whereas no reduction took place without bacteria or in the presence of heat-killed bacteria. The results obtained showed reduction of Tc(VII)O4 ? to the Tc(V) and Tc(IV) at pH 10 in the carbonate-bicarbonate medium. About 57% of the total technetium was determined to be Tc(IV), 1–3% as a Tc(V) and 17–20% as a Tc(VII) after 1–3 days of incubation with bacteria. The microbial reduction of Tc(VII) in alkaline conditions has been suggested as a potential mechanism for the removal of Tc from contaminated environments or waste streams.  相似文献

We report that in YBa2Cu3Oy and La2-xSrxCuO4 there is a spatially inhomogeneous response to the magnetic field for temperatures T extending well above the bulk-superconducting transition temperature Tc. An inhomogeneous magnetic response is observed above Tc even in ortho-II YBa2Cu3O6.50, which has highly ordered doping. The degree of the field inhomogeneity above Tc tracks the hole-doping dependences of both Tc and the density of the superconducting carriers below Tc, and therefore is apparently coupled to superconductivity.  相似文献

Although more than 20 years have passed, the identification of the superconducting order parameter in cuprates is still under debate. Here, we show that the gap size near the nodes is a good candidate for the order parameter: it scales with the critical temperature Tc over a wide doping range and displays a significant temperature dependence below Tc in both the underdoped and the overdoped regimes. In contrast, the gap size at the antinodes does not scale with Tc in the underdoped regime and appears to be controlled by the pseudogap which persists below Tc.  相似文献

Introduction

Among the products of irradiation of natural molýbdenum by deuterons with energies up to 13 MeV, by means γ and X-ray speclrometry were identified these radlonudldes: 99Nb, 92mNb, 95m+gNb 96Nb, 99Mo, 101Mo, 92Tc, 93m+gTc, 94m+g^>Tc, 95m+gTc, 96Tc, 97mTc, 99mTc,101Tc, and 89Zr. With the more intensive lines of γ transitions of 90Nb, 96Nb, 93m+gTc, 94m+gTc, 95m+gTc, 99Tc and 97mTc accurate photon energies have been established and for the lines 1475.7 and 1520.5 keV of 93Tc, 820.2 keV of 95mTc, and 96.4 keV of 97mTc also the absolute intensities of the emitted γ were determined. By means of aluminium foils, by which the set of Mo foils had been interlaid, the atomic recoil in forward and backward direction ivas established for the 17.82 mg/cm2 Mo foils and deuteron energy up to 12.7 MeV and the ion current of 3.4 μA.  相似文献

We report direct visualizations of the fluctuation and condensation phenomena in a phase transition of a one-dimensional (1D) In/Si(111) system using scanning tunneling microscopy. The high-temperature (HT) and low-temperature (LT) phases are found to coexist on the nanometer scale near Tc. Above Tc, 1D LT-phase stripes fluctuate in the HT phase and coalesce into 2D islands with decreasing temperature. They condense to make the LT phase below Tc. Small areas of the HT phase also exist below Tc. The observed temperature-dependent evolution of the nanoscale inhomogeneities is consistent with the theoretical predictions for a second-order phase transition.  相似文献

The high spin states of the neutron-rich odd-odd 106Tc nucleus have been reinvestigated by observing prompt γ-rays from the spontaneous fission of 252Cf. A previously known collective band is confirmed and expanded, and a new collective band is newly identified. Several levels in previous report in 106Tc are reexamined and they belong to the members of a band in 107Tc. The total Routhian surface (TRS) calculations show that the 106Tc has triaxial shape. The spins and parities as well as the configurations for these bands have been tentatively assigned according to the analysis of the angular momentum alignments.  相似文献

The oscillation behavior of the superconducting transition temperature Tc as a function of the ferromagnetic Co layer thickness (dCo) has been examined for Nb/Co superconductor(S)/ferromagnetic(F) trilayer series (F/S/F) and pentalayer series (F/S/F/S/F). Tc of the pentalayer series takes a local maximum between dCo=2.0-3.2 nm, where Tc of the trilayer shows a local minimum. This difference in the Tc versus dCo curves provides a clear evidence for the occurrence of the pi phase in the pentalayers, which has been theoretically predicted by Buzdin et al., Radovic et al., and Tagirov.  相似文献

We measured the temperature dependent resistivity, varrho(T), of the intercalated graphite superconductor CaC6 as a function of pressure up to 16 GPa. We found a large linear increase of critical temperature, Tc, from the ambient pressure value 11.5 K up to 15.1 K, the largest value for intercalated graphite, at 7.5 GPa. At approximately 8 GPa, a jump of varrho and a sudden drop of Tc down to approximately 5 K indicates the occurrence of a phase transition. Our data analysis suggests that a pressure-induced phonon softening related to an in-plane Ca phonon mode is responsible for the Tc increase and that higher pressures greater, similar8 GPa lead to a structural transition into a new phase with a low Tc less, similar3 K.  相似文献

Using 7Li NMR shift data, the anomalous local moment induced by spinless Li impurities persists below T(c) in YBa 2Cu 3O6+y. In the underdoped regime, the moments retain their Curie law below Tc. In contrast, near optimal doping, the large Kondo screening observed above Tc (TK = 135 K) is strongly reduced below Tc as expected theoretically when the superconducting gap develops. The limited spatial extent of the induced moment (on first near neighbor Cu) is not drastically modified below Tc, which allows a comparison with STM determination of the local density of states. Our results constrain theoretical models of the impurity electronic properties.  相似文献

The phonon dispersion curves have been measured for the hcp metals, Tc, Re, and Ru in the [001] direction at room temperature. A pronounced phonon anomaly has been observed for the LO mode in Tc and Re which is absent in Ru. A low temperature study of Tc revealed a strong temperature dependence of the anomaly. It is suggested that the magnitude of the phonon anomaly is correlated with the strength of the electron-phonon interaction in these metals.  相似文献

The 111Tc nucleus, populated in the spontaneous fission of 248Cm, was studied by means of prompt -ray spectroscopy using the EUROGAM2 array. Excited states in 111Tc were observed for the first time. Systematics of energy levels in odd-A Tc isotopes, obtained in our study of 107Tc and 109Tc provide a reliable spin and parity assignment I = 5/2+ to the head of the new band in 111Tc, interpreted as the 5/2+[422] orbital originating from the proton g9/2 shell. This level is most likely the ground state. Therefore, the (9/2+,7/2+) spin-parity assignment to the ground state of 111Tc, reported previously, is unlikely. Properties of the yrast band in 111Tc suggest prolate deformation of this band. There are hints that the deformation of 111Tc is larger than that of 109Tc, possibly due to admixtures of oblate-deformed configurations, which lower their excitation energy with increasing neutron number.  相似文献

Theg-factor of the 181 keV-level of99Tc has been redetermined by the spin rotation method.  本文研究了Zr70Cu30非晶合金在压力下低于玻璃化温度退火时,表征结构中几何短程有序化过程的超导转变温度(Tc)的弛豫行为。结果表明,结构弛豫使Tc下降。压力退火则阻碍Tc的热弛豫下降趋势,但过程的动力学仍保持和常压弛豫相似的对数特征。作者应用压力促使非晶结构中局域张应力减小的观点来解释上述现象。  相似文献

We have measured the resonance curves of a high Tc superconducting microstrip resonator at both room temperature and liquid nitrogen temperature, and done same thing to a copper microstrip resonator with the same width and length as high Tc superconducting microstrip resonator. These four curves have been compared with each other. After that we obtained the penetration depth and surface resistance of high Tc superconductor at liquid nitrogen temperature. The microstrip resonator method has the advantage of simple. The results agree with theoretical prediction and other papers quite well.  相似文献

A systematic density functional theory (DFT) study has been performed to investigate the electronic and magnetic properties of one-dimensional sandwich polymers constructed with benzene (Bz) and the second-row transition metal (TM = Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, and Tc). Within the framework of generalized gradient approximation (GGA), [Tc(Bz)] is a ferromagnetic half-metal, and [Nb(Bz)] is a ferromagnetic metal. With the on-site Coulomb interaction for 4d TM atoms being taken into account, [Tc(Bz)] keeps a robust half-metallic behavior, while [Nb(Bz)] becomes a spin-selective semiconductor. The stability of the half-metallic [Tc(Bz)] polymer is discussed based on magnetic anisotropy energy (MAE). Compared with 0.1 meV per metal atom in [Mn(Bz)], the calculated MAE for [Tc(Bz)] is 2.3 meV per metal atom. Such a significantly larger MAE suggests that Tc(Bz)] is practically more promising than its first-row TM equivalent.  相似文献

In hole-doped cuprates, Nernst experiments imply that the superconducting state is destroyed by spontaneous creation of vortices which destroy phase coherence. Using torque magnetometry on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O(8+delta), we uncover a field-enhanced diamagnetic signal M above the transition temperature Tc that increases with applied field to 32 Tesla and scales just like the Nernst signal. The magnetization results above Tc distinguish M from conventional amplitude fluctuations and strongly support the vortex scenario for the loss of phase coherence at Tc.  相似文献

Using the Nth order muffin-tin obital downfolding technique, we investigate the origin of ferromagnetism in pyrochlore Tl2Mn2O7. It is found to be driven by a hybridization induced spin polarization of delocalized charge carriers derived from Tl-s and O-p states. The mean-field estimate of the ferromagnetic transition temperature Tc estimated using computed exchange integrals are found to be in good agreement with measurements. We find an enhancement of Tc for moderate doping with nonmagnetic Sb and a suppression of Tc upon application of pressure, both in agreement with experimental findings.  相似文献

The energy levels of 98Tc were studied with the 99Tc(p, d)98Tc reaction at a bombarding energy of 22.9 MeV and 15 keV resolution (FWHM). The Q-value for this reaction was found to be ?6.755 ± 0.009 MeV and the 98Tc mass excess was calculated to be ?86.421 ± 0.011 MeV. This reaction provided the excitation energies for 49 neutron hole states below 1.5 MeV excitation. Comparison of experimental angular distributions with DWBA calculations permitted assignment of lf-values and the extraction of spectroscopic factors for 44 of these levels. Extensive configuration mixing is observed except in the low-lying multiplet. Effective proton-particle, neutron-hole interaction matrix elements were obtained from the low-lying positive-parity multiplet of 98Tc.  相似文献

We report measurements of nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei (NMR-ON) on94Tc (I=7+,T 1/2=4.9 h),95Tc (I =9/2+,T 1/2=20 h) and96Tc (I =7+,T 1/2=4.3 d) in Fe and on95Tc and96Tc in Ni. In order to elucidate the discrepancies on the hyperfine field of TcFe in the literature, the resonances were measured with high precision as a function of the external magnetic field Bext up to 2.0 T. In addition, TDPAC measurements were performed on99TcFe at T=300 K and 13 K. TheT=0 K hyperfine fields of Tc in Fe and Ni were determined to be –314(3) kG and –51.8(5) kG, respectively. The g-factors of93Tc,94Tc,95Tc,96Tc and99Tc(E=181 keV;I =5/2+) are redetermined as g(93Tc)=1.405(14), g(94Tc)=0.731(7),g(95Tc)=1.321(13), g(96Tc)=0.727(7), g(99Tc)=1.390(17).We wish to thank E.
