设计和分析了一种新型的用于全光通信网络的高速微型1×2磁光开关,包括光学光路和高速控制. 纳秒脉冲发生器的纳秒脉冲电流用于控制传输1550 nm光束的磁光晶体的磁化强度. 对纳秒脉冲发生器的电路设计方案和纳秒脉冲磁场设计方案分别进行计算机仿真和实验验证. 结果表明:纳秒脉冲发生器能够输出上升沿1.9-3.2 ns、上升幅度10-90 V和脉宽4-100 ns的脉冲. 在单片机MCU的控制下,可以实现光束的平稳切换,目前的开关时间小于1 μs.  相似文献

在理论上数值计算了各种常量对色散不对称非线性光纤环形镜透射特性的影响。并分析了它作为被动锁模器件用于光纤激光器压窄脉冲的物理机制。利用8字形主被动混合锁模的结构在调制频率为9.998748700 GHz,波长为1566.65nm处获得了11ps的稳定锁模脉冲输出.对应谱宽0.297nm.同时在重复频率为9.995792825 GHz和9.996778256 GHz时分别得到了振幅均匀的二阶和三阶谐波锁模输出。证明色散不对称非线性光纤环形镜可以有效消减脉冲的尾翼和噪声.得到脉幅稳定的脉冲序列。  相似文献

采用磁光晶体薄膜、半波片、偏振分束器、偏振合束器和高速法拉第转子等元器件研制了一种具有新型光路的1×2全光纤磁光开关,以用于全光网络通信. 采用雪崩晶体管设计和制作了多种纳秒脉冲发生器,用于驱动法拉第转子中的微型螺线管. 对螺线管的尺寸和结构布局进行了优化设计,并分析螺线管的磁场强度和自感系数等性能参量,以提高磁光开关的开关速度. 磁光开关的性能测试结果表明,纳秒脉冲上升时间为2~5 ns、脉冲宽度为6~12 ns、脉冲幅值为30~150 V. 磁光开关的插入损耗为1.55 dB,串扰为23.69 dB,消光比为-23.69 dB,开关时间为100~400 ns. 该全光纤磁光开关的开关时间已达到纳秒量级.  相似文献

We present the results of theoretical and experimental studies demonstrating the possibility of developing an oxygen-iodine laser (OIL) with direct optical pumping of molecular oxygen involving inter-molecular interaction with charge transfer from donor molecule (buffer gas) to acceptor molecule (oxygen). This interaction lifts degeneracy of the lower energy states of molecular oxygen and increases its absorption cross section in the visible spectral region and the UV Herzberg band, where high quantum yield of singlet oxygen is achieved (QY ~ 1 and QY ~ 2, respectively) at the same time. A pulse-periodic optical pump sources with pulse energy of ~50 kJ, pulse duration of ~25 μs, and repetition rate of ~10 Hz, which are synchronized with the mechanism of singlet oxygen generation, are developed. This allows implementation of a pulse-periodic oxygen-iodine laser with an efficiency of ~25%, optical efficiency of ~40%, and parameter L/T ~ 1/1.5, where T is the thermal energy released in the laser active medium upon generation of energy L. It is demonstrated that, under direct solar pumping of molecular oxygen, the efficiency parameter of the OIL can reach L/T ~ 1/0.8 in a wide range of scaling factors.  相似文献

The formation of laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) upon irradiation of fused silica and silicon with multiple (N DPS) irradiation sequences consisting of linearly polarized femtosecond laser pulse pairs (pulse duration ~150 fs, central wavelength ~800 nm) is studied experimentally. Nearly equal-energy double-pulse sequences are generated allowing the temporal pulse delay Δt between the cross-polarized individual fs-laser pulses to be varied from ?40 ps to +40 ps with a resolution of ~0.2 ps. The surface morphologies of the irradiated surface areas are characterized by means of scanning electron and scanning force microscopy. Particularly for dielectrics in the sub-ps delay range striking differences in the orientation and spatial characteristics of the LIPSS can be observed. For fused silica, a significant decrease of the LIPSS spatial periods from ~790 nm towards ~550 nm is demonstrated for delay changes of less than ~2 ps. In contrast, for silicon under similar irradiation conditions, the LIPSS periods remain constant (~760 nm) for delays up to 40 ps. The results prove the impact of laser-induced electrons in the conduction band of the solid and associated transient changes of the optical properties on fs-LIPSS formation.  相似文献

We present a single-shot cross-correlating scheme capable of high dynamic range and large temporal window for pulse contrast characterization. By adopting a long-wavelength sampling pulse parametrically converted from the pulse under test, wavelength combination in the correlating process allows the use of a large noncollinear phase-matching angle in periodically poled lithium niobate crystal, matches the high-sensitivity detection system consisting of a fiber array and a photomultiplier tube, and favors the elimination of optical scattering noise. The prototype experiments demonstrate a detectable contrast maximum up to ~10(9), temporal window of ~50?ps, and resolution of ~1?ps, using <0.5?mJ input energy.  相似文献

A nanosecond pulse discharge circuit is developed and used to enhance the optical emission of laser plasma. An intense discharge spark was observed with a peak discharge current of 1.9 kA and a peak power of 6.5 MW. The main electric energy deposition only lasted for ~40 ns. An intense optical emission was observed. The line intensity of plasma emission was greatly increased along with an improved signal-to-noise ratio, in comparison with that using a microsecond pulse discharge circuit. From the measured spectra, electron temperature and electron number density were estimated. The mechanism of the optical emission enhancement was briefly discussed.  相似文献

A novel scheme which utilizes the microwave photonic filter technique for the optical generation of a microwave signal based on an active mode-locked fiber laser is proposed. A microwave signal generator using a microwave photonic filter based on a 2: 1 optical coupler with a fiber loop which can effectively suppress a low-order frequency component of the microwave signal is demonstrated and a ~10-GHz microwave signal is achieved based on an active mode-locked fiber laser with the original pulse repetition rate of ~5 GHz.  相似文献

Two asynchronous, broadband 3.3 μm pulse trains with a stabilized repetition-rate difference of up to 5 kHz were generated using an ultrafast optical parametric oscillator. The two oscillation channels, each producing ~100 mW average power, ran essentially independently, and weak non-phase-matched sum-frequency mixing between them provided a timing signal that indicated when the asynchronous pulses coincided. The system has immediate applications in incoherent asynchronous optical sampling and, with additional carrier-envelope-offset stabilization, could be applied to coherent dual-frequency-comb spectroscopy.  相似文献

We report our studies on a fiber-optic soliton compressor for generation of sub-100 femtosecond (fs) optical pulses out of picosecond (ps) diode laser pulses. The soliton compressor is rather simple and composed of a 15 ~ 20 m-long step-like dispersion profiled fiber (SDPF) in conjunction with a single Er-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA). Careful design of such a SDPF compressor was performed, leading to demonstration of 20-fs class compression performance, and experimental investigation was carried out in detail on the optical pulse propagation in the compression processes. In addition, nonlinear fiber loops were applied to suppression of pulse pedestals, resulting successfully in high quality optical pulses of the 100-fs range.  相似文献

 介绍了一种基于Sagnac干涉仪形式的超短脉冲多路放大技术,能够实现多个激光脉冲的自动复合,并且在理论上能够实现锁相输出。分析了调节偏差对于干涉仪性能的影响,在仔细调节好干涉仪的情况下,起主要限制作用的是放大器介质折射率的随机变化,同时给出了一种利用偏振分束片的多路放大方法及实验结果,将直径为50mm,能量为2~3mJ的脉冲激光放大为最大输出能量为120mJ,稳定运行在100mJ的脉冲。  相似文献

We report a compact, efficient optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on a periodically poled potassium titanyl phosphate (PPKTP) crystal pumped by a 532 nm laser, which generated 1.51 W of average power at the signal wavelength of 709 nm with the pulse duration of ~ 1.0 ns. The extraction efficiency was up to 59%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on Watt-level green-pumped PPKTP-based singly resonant oscillator OPO (SRO-OPO). The precise build-up time of OPO was determined to be 1.6 ns benefitting from the characteristic of twin-peak pulse profile of pump beam. The spectrum width of the idler was also measured to be 4.2 nm with the central wavelength of 2134 nm at 0.2 nm spectral resolution of optical spectrum analyzer. In addition, the beam quality of M2 < 1.9 of generated signal exhibits a good consistency with M2 < 1.5 for the pump source.  相似文献

采用主动锁模光纤激光器输出的重复频率10GHz、脉宽7.97ps的脉冲作为抽运光源,无需压缩后直接抽运4.2km的普通色散位移光纤(DSF).利用色散位移光纤中自相位调制、交叉相位调制等非线性效应的联合作用,获得了20dB带宽达125nm、覆盖整个C波段、L波段和部分S波段的超连续(SC)谱。实验研究了抽运光脉冲峰值功率和抽运波长对超连续谱宽度的影响,结果表明抽运光脉冲峰值功率越高,得到的超连续谱的带宽越宽;通过对抽运波长的优化,可以实现最大程度的超连续展宽;分析了滤波器带宽对脉冲质量的影响;利用0.4nm带宽的可调谐滤波器对从超连续谱中滤出脉冲的特性进行了研究,在超连续谱的不同波长处获得了脉宽为8.90~9.80ps、时间一带宽积为0.44~0.49的稳定的窄光脉冲。  相似文献

The spectral, integrated, and working life characteristics of the radiation from atmospheric pressure gas discharge plasma based on multicomponent mixtures (cadmium diiodide with helium and small admixtures of molecular nitrogen and xenon) are analyzed. A pulsed barrier discharge (pulse repetition rates 5000, 5500, and 6000 Hz; pulse duration ~150 ns) is used both to produce the gas discharge plasma and to excite the components of the working mixture. Visible radiation is detected from excimer molecules of cadmium monoiodide and cadmium, xenon, and krypton atoms. Regular features are found in the variations of optical plasma characteristics with pumping pulse repetition rate and with component and quantitative mixture composition.  相似文献

本文描还了我们研制的一种新型光示波管的设计特点及测试结果.这种光示波管配以适当的控制电路和读出系统所组成的光示波器,能直接测量光脉冲,并能测量电脉冲;既可测量单次脉冲,又可测量重复脉冲;测量重复脉冲时,测量范围可达0~数GHz(109Hz)的任意频率的重复脉冲.这种新型光示波管的光谱响应范围宽,实测时间分辨率达5ps,工作于椭圆扫描方式.它抛弃了以往光示波管所采用的取样狭缝,而是采用脉冲提取电极,通过调节控制电路使其工作于特殊的同步方式,从而克服了取样光示波器测量时间长、重复性不好等缺点.最后给出了静态椭圆扫描图象和动态时间分辨率的测试结果.  相似文献

In chirped pulse amplification, the amplification of an optical pulse in laser amplifying medium is a very important link. After considering dispersion, Kerr nonlinear effect, gain distribution and loss of the medium, the physical model that the optical pulse propagates in the medium has been established, which is suitable for the general situation where the optical pulse propagates in the amplifying medium. Using a split-step Fourier method, the propagation state of a chirped optical pulse in the amplifying medium has been numerically simulated, and the influences of the gain dispersion of the medium and the frequency detuning of the pulse on the optical pulse have been discussed emphatically. The results show that, with the amplification and propagation of the ultrashort chirped pulse in the amplifying medium, gain saturation and Kerr nonlinear effect of the medium will cause distortion of the optical pulse. For the optical pulse with a wideband spectrum, gain dispersion will cause the gain narrowing effect, so it is equivalent to a loss mechanism. The frequency detuning of the optical pulse will cause distortion of the pulse, which can be used to weaken the impact of gain saturation, thus reshaping the optical pulse.  相似文献

Various optically stimulated luminescence signals from K-feldspar have been used to determine the equivalent doses of sediment samples. Understanding the properties of these optical signals is critical to evaluate their applicability and limitations to optical dating. In this paper, some properties of IRSL, post-IR OSL and post-IR IRSL signals (detected in the UV region using U-340 filters) from a museum sample of K-feldspar were investigated by analyzing the relationships between optical and TL signals, and the effect of optical bleaching and heating on optical signals. The trap parameters of the different optical signals were calculated using the pulse annealing method. The results show that this sample exhibits two regenerated TL peaks at ~140 and ~330 °C. Corresponding to the low temperature TL peak, the OSL and post-IR OSL signals appear to be more associated with lower temperature TL than the IRSL signal measured at 50 °C. Corresponding to the high temperature TL peak, the post-IR IRSL signals mainly originate from the more thermally stable traps associated with the high temperature TL, compared with the IRSL and post-IR OSL signals. However, the post-IR IRSL225 °C signal is shown to be hard to be bleached by blue light and simulated sunlight, compared with the IRSL50 °C and low temperature post-IR IRSL signals. The implication for optical dating is that the elevated temperature post-IR IRSL signals can be preferentially applied over other signals from K-feldspar, but it is desirable that the effectiveness of the pre-depositional zeroing of these signals is assessed.  相似文献
