文章给出了右删失左截断数据半参数模型下的风险率函数估计,讨论了风险率函数估计的渐近性质,获得了这些估计的渐近正态性,对数律和重对数律.由于假定删失机制服从半参数模型下,从而知道模型的更多信息,因此对于给出参数的极大似然估计,可以改进风险率函数估计的渐近性质.也就是说,删失数据模型具有半参数的辅助信息下, 风险率函数估计的渐近方差比通常的完全非参数的估计的渐近方差更小.这说明加入了额外的信息提高了风险率函数估计的效率.  相似文献

We consider a panel data semiparametric partially linear regression model with an unknown parameter vector for the linear parametric component, an unknown nonparametric function for the nonlinear component, and a one-way error component structure which allows unequal error variances (referred to as heteroscedasticity). We develop procedures to detect heteroscedasticity and one-way error component structure, and propose a weighted semiparametric least squares estimator (WSLSE) of the parametric component in the presence of heteroscedasticity and/or one-way error component structure. This WSLSE is asymptotically more efficient than the usual semiparametric least squares estimator considered in the literature. The asymptotic properties of the WSLSE are derived. The nonparametric component of the model is estimated by the local polynomial method. Some simulations are conducted to demonstrate the finite sample performances of the proposed testing and estimation procedures. An example of application on a set of panel data of medical expenditures in Australia is also illustrated.  相似文献

Summary We give several conditions on the estimator of efficient score function for estimating the parametric component of semiparametric models. A semiparametric version of the one-step MLE using an estimator of efficient score function which fulfills the conditions is shown to converge to the normal distribution with minimum variance locally uniformly over a fairly large neighborhood around the assumed semiparametric model. Consequently, it is shown to be asymptotically minimax with bounded subconvex loss functions. A few examples are also considered.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with inference of panel data varying-coefficient partially linear models with a one-way error structure. The model is a natural extension of the well-known panel data linear model (due to Baltagi 1995) to the setting of semiparametric regressions. The authors propose a weighted profile least squares estimator (WPLSE) and a weighted local polynomial estimator (WLPE) for the parametric and nonparametric components, respectively. It is shown that the WPLSE is asymptotically more efficient than the usual profile least squares estimator (PLSE), and that the WLPE is also asymptotically more efficient than the usual local polynomial estimator (LPE). The latter is an interesting result. According to Ruckstuhl, Welsh and Carroll (2000) and Lin and Carroll (2000), ignoring the correlation structure entirely and "pretending" that the data are really independent will result in more efficient estimators when estimating nonparametric regression with longitudinal or panel data. The result in this paper shows that this is not true when the design points of the nonparametric component have a closeness property within groups. The asymptotic properties of the proposed weighted estimators are derived. In addition, a block bootstrap test is proposed for the goodness of fit of models, which can accommodate the correlations within groups illustrate the finite sample performances of the Some simulation studies are conducted to proposed procedures.  相似文献

We consider the problem of estimation in semiparametric varying coefficient models where the covariate modifying the varying coefficients is functional and is modeled nonparametrically. We develop a kernel-based estimator of the nonparametric component and a profiling estimator of the parametric component of the model and derive their asymptotic properties. Specifically, we show the consistency of the nonparametric functional estimates and derive the asymptotic expansion of the estimates of the parametric component. We illustrate the performance of our methodology using a simulation study and a real data application.  相似文献

This paper considers estimation and inference in semiparametric quantile regression models when the response variable is subject to random censoring. The paper considers both the cases of independent and dependent censoring and proposes three iterative estimators based on inverse probability weighting, where the weights are estimated from the censoring distribution using the Kaplan–Meier, a fully parametric and the conditional Kaplan–Meier estimators. The paper proposes a computationally simple resampling technique that can be used to approximate the finite sample distribution of the parametric estimator. The paper also considers inference for both the parametric and nonparametric components of the quantile regression model. Monte Carlo simulations show that the proposed estimators and test statistics have good finite sample properties. Finally, the paper contains a real data application, which illustrates the usefulness of the proposed methods.

In this paper jackknifing technique is examined for functions of the parametric component in a partially linear regression model with serially correlated errors. By deleting partial residuals a jackknife-type estimator is proposed. It is shown that the jackknife-type estimator and the usual semiparametric least-squares estimator (SLSE) are asymptotically equivalent. However, simulation shows that the former has smaller biases than the latter when the sample size is small or moderate. Moreover, since the errors are correlated, both the Tukey type and the delta type jackknife asymptotic variance estimators are not consistent. By introducing cross-product terms, a consistent estimator of the jackknife asymptotic variance is constructed and shown to be robust against heterogeneity of the error variances. In addition, simulation results show that confidence interval estimation based on the proposed jackknife estimator has better coverage probability than that based on the SLSE, even though the latter uses the information of the error structure, while the former does not.  相似文献

We investigate semiparametric estimation of regression coefficients through generalized estimating equations with single-index models when some covariates are missing at random. Existing popular semiparametric estimators may run into difficulties when some selection probabilities are small or the dimension of the covariates is not low. We propose a new simple parameter estimator using a kernel-assisted estimator for the augmentation by a single-index model without using the inverse of selection probabilities. We show that under certain conditions the proposed estimator is as efficient as the existing methods based on standard kernel smoothing, which are often practically infeasible in the case of multiple covariates. A simulation study and a real data example are presented to illustrate the proposed method. The numerical results show that the proposed estimator avoids some numerical issues caused by estimated small selection probabilities that are needed in other estimators.

We propose a new, easy to implement, semiparametric estimator for binary-choice single-index models which uses parametric information in the form of a known link (probability) function and nonparametrically corrects it. Asymptotic properties are derived and the finite sample performance of the proposed estimator is compared to those of the parametric probit and semiparametric single-index model estimators of Ichimura (J Econ 58:71–120, 1993) and Klein and Spady (Econometrica 61:387–421, 1993). Results indicate that if the parametric start is correct, the proposed estimator achieves significant bias reduction and efficiency gains compared to Ichimura (1993) and Klein and Spady (1993). Interestingly, the proposed estimator still achieves significant bias reduction and efficiency gains even if the parametric start is not correct.  相似文献

We present a semiparametric analysis of an augmented inverse probability of non-missingness weighted (AIPW) estimator of a survival function for the missing censoring indicator model. Although the estimator is asymptotically less efficient than a Dikta semiparametric estimator, its advantage is the insulation that it offers against inconsistency due to misspecification. We present theoretical and numerical comparisons of the asymptotic variances when there is no misspecification. In addition, we derive the asymptotic variance of the AIPW estimator when there is partial misspecification. We also present a numerical robustness study that confirms the superiority of the AIPW estimator when there is misspecification.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a combined regression estimator by using a parametric estimator and a nonparametric estimator of the regression function. The asymptotic distribution of this estimator is obtained for cases where the parametric regression model is correct, incorrect, and approximately correct. These distributional results imply that the combined estimator is superior to the kernel estimator in the sense that it can never do worse than the kernel estimator in terms of convergence rate and it has the same convergence rate as the parametric estimator in the case where the parametric model is correct. Unlike the parametric estimator, the combined estimator is robust to model misspecification. In addition, we also establish the asymptotic distribution of the estimator of the weight given to the parametric estimator in constructing the combined estimator. This can be used to construct consistent tests for the parametric regression model used to form the combined estimator.  相似文献

We consider parameter estimation in parametric regression models with covariates missing at random. This problem admits a semiparametric maximum likelihood approach which requires no parametric specification of the selection mechanism or the covariate distribution. The semiparametric maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) has been found to be consistent. We show here, for some specific models, that the semiparametric MLE converges weakly to a zero-mean Gaussian process in a suitable space. The regression parameter estimate, in particular, achieves the semiparametric information bound, which can be consistently estimated by perturbing the profile log-likelihood. Furthermore, the profile likelihood ratio statistic is asymptotically chi-squared. The techniques used here extend to other models.  相似文献

In this paper, two new tests for heteroscedasticity in nonparametric regression are presented and compared. The first of these tests consists in first estimating nonparametrically the unknown conditional variance function and then using a classical least-squares test for a general linear model to test whether this function is a constant. The second test is based on using an overall distance between a nonparametric estimator of the conditional variance function and a parametric estimator of the variance of the model under the assumption of homoscedasticity. A bootstrap algorithm is used to approximate the distribution of this test statistic. Extended versions of both procedures in two directions, first, in the context of dependent data, and second, in the case of testing if the variance function is a polynomial of a certain degree, are also described. A broad simulation study is carried out to illustrate the finite sample performance of both tests when the observations are independent and when they are dependent.  相似文献

Efficiency and robustness are two essential concerns on statistical estimation. Unfortunately, it was widely accepted that there existed a contradiction between achieving efficiency and robustness simultaneously. For parametric models with complete data, the minimum Hellinger distance estimation introduced by Beran (Ann Stat 5:445–463, 1977) has been shown that it can reconcile this contradiction. Because data in biostatistics, actuarial science or economics are often subject to censoring and even involve a fraction of long-term survivors, our study aims to extend the minimum Hellinger distance estimation to a two-sample semiparametric cure rate model with right-censored survival data. The asymptotic properties such as consistency, efficiency, normality, and robustness of the proposed estimator have been considered and its performances are examined via simulation studies in comparison with those of the maximum semiparametric conditional likelihood estimator introduced by Shen et al. (J Am Stat Assoc 102:1235–1244, 2007). Finally, our method is illustrated by analyzing a real data set: Bone Marrow Transplant Data.  相似文献
