Entanglement Transmission and Generation under Channel Uncertainty: Universal Quantum Channel Coding
We determine the optimal rates of universal quantum codes for entanglement transmission and generation under channel uncertainty. In the simplest scenario the sender and receiver are provided merely with the information that the channel they use belongs to a given set of channels, so that they are forced to use quantum codes that are reliable for the whole set of channels. This is precisely the quantum analog of the compound channel coding problem. We determine the entanglement transmission and entanglement-generating capacities of compound quantum channels and show that they are equal. Moreover, we investigate two variants of that basic scenario, namely the cases of informed decoder or informed encoder, and derive corresponding capacity results. 相似文献

Recently, entanglement plays an important role in quantum information science. Here we propose an efficient and applicable method which transforms arbitrary three-qubit unknown state to a maximally entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state, and the proposed method could be further generalized to multi-qubit case. The proposed setup exploits only linear optical elements and quantum non-demolition detectors using cross-Kerr media. As the quantum non-demolition detection could reveal us the output state of the photons without destroying them. This property may make our proposed setup flexible and can be widely used in current quantum information science and technology. 相似文献

Entanglement teleportation via one dissipative quantum channel composed by two identical spatially separated atoms in free space is investigated in detail. We mainly study the effects about the channel initial states and the interqubit distance on the entanglement of the output state Cout and the average fidelity F a. It is shown that the magnitude of teleportated entanglement and the average fidelity is strongly dependent on the above factors. For different channel initial states with increasing input entanglement, the teleportated entanglement is zero initially, but at some finite values the teleportated entanglement emerges, and it then increase linearly as these finite input entanglement values are reached. We also obtain that the interqubit distance enhance the teleportated entanglement and the average fidelity peridicly, so we can find a threshold value of the interqubit distance which is most suitable for entanglement teleportation. Meanwhile, the values of the teleportated entanglement and the average fidelity are always zero when the value of the interqubit distance is zero. 相似文献

Dense coding of multi-atom entangled states in cavity QED is studied. If the quantum channel is generalized GHZ states, dense coding can be directly realized in a simply way. As for the partially entangled pure states, we propose a feasible protocol for entanglement concentration, and the emciency of information transmitted is calculated. The schemes are insensitive to the cavity decay and the field state, due to the fact that the interaction here is a large-detuned one between atoms and the cavity. 相似文献

Motivated by hybrid entanglement swapping, a cooperative protocol for quantum anonymous transmission is proposed. In the protocol, three pairs of hybrid-entangled photons are deployed in the small-scale quantum network, where a photon is traveling from one random participant to another. After performing by entanglement swapping among all participants, the anonymous transmission system is established in a cooperative way. Analysis shows that the proposed scheme achieves the secure anonymity for both sender and receiver. In addition, it can transmit quantum message with high efficiency. 相似文献

This paper considers the problem of secure coding design for a type II quantum wiretap channel, where the main channel and the eavesdropper channel are both quantum channel, and the eavesdropper overhears the legitimate communication through a quantum cloning machine. Based on Calderbank-Shor-Steane (CSS)-type quantum low-density parity-check (QLDPC) codes, we show that it is possible to construct linear-time decodable codes for type II quantum wiretap channels to achieve security. 相似文献

Recently Xia and Song [Phys. Lett. A 364 (2007) 117] have proposed a controlled quantum secure direct communication (CQSDC) protocol. They claimed that in their protocol only with the help of the controller Charlie, the receiver Alice can successfully extract the secret message from the sender Bob. In this letter, first we will show that within their protocol the controller Charlie's role could have been excluded if it were not for their unreasonable design. Quantum information processing requires information or entanglement that can be transferred or distributed from one location to another with high fidelity. Here, a scheme for faithful quantum state transfer and entanglement generation based on the hybrid opto‐electro‐mechanical (OEM) systems in a fast and deterministic way is proposed. By applying invariant‐based inverse engineering to the interaction Hamiltonian, the couplings in the OEM system can be controlled by asynchronized driving fields, which is convenient to be realized in practice. Taking the systematic decoherence into consideration, the numerical simulation shows that the scheme can be implemented with less time and high fidelity. Therefore, the scheme provides a promising way for robust on‐chip converting of low‐frequency electrical signal into much higher‐frequency optical signal, and thus enabling large‐scale quantum information networks to grow in size and complexity. 相似文献

In this study, we explore the tripartite quantum correlations by employing the quantum relative entropy as a distance measure. First, we evaluate the explicit expression for nonlinear entanglement witness (EW) of tripartite systems in the four dimensional space that lends itself to a straightforward algorithm for finding closest separable state (CSS) to the generic state. Then using nonlinear EW with specific feasible regions (FRs), quantum discord is derived analytically for the three-qubit and tripartite systems in the four dimensional space.
