Complex dynamical systems are often subject to non-Gaussian random fluctuations. The exit phenomenon, i.e., escaping from a bounded domain in state space, is an impact of randomness on the evolution of these dynamical systems. The existing work is about asymptotic estimate on mean exit time when the noise intensity is sufficiently small. In the present paper, however, the authors analyze mean exit time for arbitrary noise intensity, via numerical investigation. The mean exit time for a dynamical system, driven by a non-Gaussian, discontinuous (with jumps), α-stable Lévy motion, is described by a differential equation with nonlocal interactions. A numerical approach for solving this nonlocal problem is proposed. A computational analysis is conducted to investigate the relative importance of jump measure, diffusion coefficient and non-Gaussianity in affecting mean exit time.  相似文献

By using a method of truncation, we derive the closed form of the Segal-Bargmann transform of Lévy white noise functionals associated with a Lévy process with the Lévy spectrum without the moment condition. Nonlinear dynamical systems are sometimes under the influence of random fluctuations. It is desirable to examine possible bifurcations for stochastic dynamical systems when a parameter varies. A computational analysis is conducted to investigate bifurcations of a simple dynamical system under non-Gaussian α-stable Lévy motions, by examining the changes in stationary probability density functions for the solution orbits of this stochastic system. The stationary probability density functions are obtained by solving a nonlocal Fokker-Planck equation numerically. This allows numerically investigating phenomenological bifurcation, or P-bifurcation, for stochastic differential equations with non-Gaussian Lévy noises.  相似文献

It is shown that a Lévy white noise measure Λ always exists as a Borel measure on the dual K of the space K of C functions on R with compact support. Then a characterization theorem that ensures that the measurable support of Λ is contained in S is proved. In this paper, we show the existence and uniqueness of the solution for a class of doubly reflected backward stochastic differential equations driven by a Lévy process (DRBSDELs in short) by means of the penalization method as well as the fixed point theorem. In addition, we obtain the comparison theorem for the solutions of DRBSDELs. By using coupling argument and regularization approximations of the underlying subordinator, dimension-free Harnack inequalities are established for a class of stochastic equations driven by a Lévy noise containing a subordinate Brownian motion. The Harnack inequalities are new even for linear equations driven by Lévy noise, and the gradient estimate implied by our log-Harnack inequality considerably generalizes some recent results on gradient estimates and coupling properties derived for Lévy processes or linear equations driven by Lévy noise. The main results are also extended to semilinear stochastic equations in Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

This work considers the equilibrium approach of asset pricing for Lévy process. It derives the equity premium and pricing kernel analytically for the stock price process, obtains an equilibrium option pricing formula, and explains some empirical evidence such as the negative variance risk premium, implied volatility smirk, and negative skewness risk premium by comparing the physical and risk-neutral distributions of the log return. Different from most of the current studies in equilibrium pricing under jump diffusion models, this work models the underlying asset price as the exponential of a Lévy process and thus allows nearly an arbitrage distribution of the jump component.  相似文献

We present a general control variate method for simulating path dependent options under Lévy processes. It is based on fast numerical inversion of the cumulative distribution functions and exploits the strong correlation of the payoff of the original option and the payoff of a similar option under geometric Brownian motion. The method is applicable for all types of Lévy processes for which the probability density function of the increments is available in closed form. Numerical experiments confirm that our method achieves considerable variance reduction for different options and Lévy processes. We present the applications of our general approach for Asian, lookback and barrier options under variance gamma, normal inverse Gaussian, generalized hyperbolic and Meixner processes.  相似文献

We prove a large deviation principle result for solutions of abstract stochastic evolution equations perturbed by small Lévy noise. We use general large deviations theorems of Varadhan and Bryc coupled with the techniques of Feng and Kurtz (2006) [15], viscosity solutions of integro-partial differential equations in Hilbert spaces, and deterministic optimal control methods. The Laplace limit is identified as a viscosity solution of a Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation of an associated control problem. We also establish exponential moment estimates for solutions of stochastic evolution equations driven by Lévy noise. General results are applied to stochastic hyperbolic equations perturbed by subordinated Wiener process.  相似文献

We introduce the concepts of Poisson square-mean almost automorphy and almost automorphy in distribution. Under suitable conditions on the coefficients, we establish the existence of solutions which are almost automorphic in distribution for some semilinear stochastic differential equations with infinite dimensional Lévy noise. We study the potential theory of a large class of infinite dimensional Lévy processes, including Brownian motion on abstract Wiener spaces. The key result is the construction of compact Lyapunov functions, i.e., excessive functions with compact level sets. Then many techniques from classical potential theory carry over to this infinite dimensional setting. Thus a number of potential theoretic properties and principles can be proved, answering long standing open problems even for the Brownian motion on abstract Wiener space, as, e.g., formulated by R. Carmona in 1980. In particular, we prove the analog of the known result, that the Cameron-Martin space is polar, in the Lévy case and apply the technique of controlled convergence to solve the Dirichlet problem with general (not necessarily continuous) boundary data.  相似文献
