A novel Cr(III) ion‐selective electrode is constructed by incorporating a new aryl amide bifunctional bridging ligand, 2,2′‐bis{[(2″‐benzylaminoformyl)phenxoyl]methyl}‐diethylether (BBPMD) as a neutral carrier into the PVC matrix. The proposed electrode, with optimum membrane composition, exhibits an excellent near‐Nernstian response for Cr3+ ion ranging from 2.8 × 10?6 to 1.0 × 10?1 mol/L with a detection limit of 8.6 × 10?7 mol/L and a slope of 19.5 ± 0.2 mV/dec in pH 3.0 nitrate buffer solution at 25 °C. It has an appropriate response time, suitable reproducibility, and good selectivity towards Cr3+ ion. The operational pH range of the proposed electrode is 2.5–6.5. The response mechanism was discussed in view of UV‐vis spectroscopy and the A. C. impedance technique. The excellent analytical features of the proposed electrode could lead to its successful application as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Cr3+ ion and in the direct determination of Cr3+ ion in tea leaves and coffee samples.  相似文献

A novel membrane sensor for selective monitoring of iodide, consisting of a triiodide‐ketoconazole ion pair complex dispersed in a PVC matrix, plasticized with a mixture of 2‐nitrophenyl octyl ether and dioctylphtalate with unique selectivity toward iodide ions, is described. The influence of membrane composition, pH of test solution and foreign ions on the electrode performance were investigated. The optimized membrane demonstrates a near‐Nernstian response for iodide ions over a wide linear range from 1.0 × 10?2 to 1.0 × 10?5 M, at 25 ± 1 °C. The electrode could be used over a wide pH range 3–10 and has the advantages of high selectivity, fast response time and good lifetime (over 4 months). It was successfully used as indicator electrode in potentiometric titrations and direct potentiometric assay of iodide ions.  相似文献

Novel Zn2+ ion‐selective PVC based coated graphite electrodes were fabricated using the ionophores N‐((1H‐indol‐3‐yl)methylene)thiazol‐2‐amine (I1), N‐((1H‐indol‐3‐yl)methyl)‐thiazol‐2‐amine (I2) and 1‐((1H‐indol‐3‐yl)methylene)urea (I3). Their potentiometric performance was examined in dependence of the addition of plasticizers and anion excluders and compared. It is found that the coated graphite electrode with the composition I1:KTpClPB:o‐NPOE:PVC=9 : 1.5 : 51 : 38.5 is the best with respect to the wide working concentration range (4.2×10?8–1.0×10?1 mol L?1), low detection limit (1.6×10?8 mol L?1) and wide pH range of 3.0–8.0. The proposed electrode was successfully applied to quantify Zn2+ in various environmental, biological and medicinal plant samples and used as indicator electrode.  相似文献

Abstract

This paper describes a potentiometric method for the determination of sulphur in solid and liquid samples, using a sulphide ion selective electrode after the reduction distillation step. The determination of sulphide in solid and liquid samples without prior treatment was carried out by direct and titration potentiometric methods.

The reproducibility of the method and the recovery of sulphate in solid samples was investigated using analytical reagent grade 99% sodium sulphate. Portions of aproximately 100 mg of reagent were subjected to the reduction distillation process. After the ion selective electrode showed a stable value of the potential, indicating that all the sulphate had been reduced to sulphide, the potentiometric titration with lead nitrate solution was performed. A mean recovery of 98% of sulphate was found. The potentiometric titration method described in this work, can be applied to determine S= in solid samples with the advantage that it does not require sample solubilization or extraction prior to the determination. The method yields an almost total reduction of sulphur and also a good precision.  相似文献

Novel screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) were constructed for the quantitation of nicorandil (NIC) in its pharmaceutical formulations. Different ion-exchangers and plasticizers were investigated, but the optimal potentiometric response was obtained using nicorandil-phosphotungstate (NIC-PTA) ion associate and tricresyl phosphate as a plasticizer. A Nernstian response of 58.80±1 mV/decade was obtained over a concentration range of (1×10−6–1×10−2) M with 1×10−5 M as a detection limit. Sensor morphology was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The method was validated for the assay of NIC with high selectivity, accuracy (average recovery=100.54 %), and precision (%RSD≤2).  相似文献

本文报道了一种以牛磺酸双核铜络合物为中性载体的硫氰酸根PVC膜电极。该电极对硫氰酸根有良好的电位响应并呈现出anti-Hofmeister行为,其选择性顺序SCN->I->ClO4->Sal->NO3-> NO2-> Br- > Cl- > SO3-> SO4 2-。在20℃ pH 5.0的磷酸缓冲溶液中,其线性范围为1.0´10 -1~ 1.0´10-6mol×L-1,检测线为8.0×10 -7mol•L-1,斜率为 -56.5 mV/pcSCN-。紫外、红外和交流阻抗研究表明电极的高选择性与载体的立体结构和分析物与中心金属离子的作用相关。将该电极用于废水和人体尿液中硫氰酸根的测定,获得了较满意的结果。  相似文献

Poly(vinyl chloride)‐based membranes of salen ligands, 2‐((E)‐((1R,2S)‐2‐((E)‐5‐tert‐butyl‐2‐hydroxybenzylideneamino)cyclohexylimino)methyl)‐4‐tert‐butyl phenol (S1) and 2‐((E)‐((1R,2S)‐2‐((E)‐3,5‐di‐tert‐butyl‐2‐hydroxybenzylideneamino)cyclohexylimino)methyl)‐4,6‐di‐tert‐butylphenol (S2) were fabricated and explored as cobalt(II) selective electrodes. The performance of the polymeric membrane electrode (PME) and coated graphite electrode (CGE) were compared and it was observed that CGE showed a wide working concentration range of 1.1×10?8 to 1.0×10?1 mol L?1 with a limit of detection of 7.0×10?9 mol L?1 exhibiting the Nernstian slope 29.6 mV/decade of activity in the pH range 3.0–9.0. It was used for the determination of cobalt(II) ions in water, soil, beer, pharmaceutical samples and medicinal plants and would be used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration with EDTA.  相似文献

本文介绍利用功能高分子活性材料,采用熔融压片成膜的方法研制了PVC膜氯离子选择电极,并对电极性能进行测试并做了临床应用试验,结果表明:电极在10~(-1)M Cl~-中稳定性好,响应时间快,在10~(-1)~10~(-4)M Cl~-中电极呈能斯特响应,其斜率为56~57mV/pCl~-。经临床检测血液标本,该电极抗蛋白、脂类、血球能力强,可以满足临床检测的要求。  相似文献

Preliminary studies on the two Schiff bases N2‐((3H‐indol‐3‐yl)methylene)‐6‐phenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine‐2,4‐diamine (L1) and N2,N4‐bis((3H‐indol‐3‐yl)methylene)‐6‐phenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine‐2,4‐diamine (L2) have shown that they can act as Sm3+ selective electrodes. The performances of a polymeric membrane electrode and a coated graphite electrode based on L2 were compared and the CGE proved to be better, as it shows a low detection limit of 1.8×10?8 mol L?1, a Nernstian slope of 19.6±0.4 mV decade?1 of activity with a response time of 11 s in the pH range of 3.0–9.0. The CGE was used to determine Sm3+ in medicinal plants and soil samples. It was also used to determine fluoride ions in mouthwash samples and in toothpaste.  相似文献

Potentiostatic polymerization of polypyrrole doped with dodecylsulfate anion (DS?) was carried out in situ over a tubular composite (graphite‐epoxy resin) support in order to develop a potentiometric DS? sensor (TISE) suitable for flow injection analysis (FIA). The sensibility of the TISE was maximized using the SIMPLEX algorithm in terms of the concentration of the pyrrole monomer, the concentration of DS?, the potential imposed and polymerization time. Response times between 2 and 4 minutes were observed. The analytical parameters obtained with the flow system were compared with those obtained in batch studies. In both, flow and batch analysis, potential vs. DS? concentration curves displayed two linear regions with different slopes. Flow analysis for DS? ion brings a total linear range of 1.58×10?5 M to 3.88×10?3 M with a maximum sensibility of 36.4 mV/concentration decade, meanwhile in batch studies the total linear range found was of 6.31×10?6 M to 1.0×10?3 M with a maximum sensibility of 54.49 mV. The flow system response pH range was from 5 to 8. The reproducibility in terms of the relative error of the mean of different experiments was 1.58%. Two salient features of the system designed and built are worthy of mention: the sensor presented high selectivity to the dodecyl sulfate ion as compared to other inorganic anions including other anionic surfactants. The sensor lifetime in the FIA system by means of the sensibility changes was found to be of approximately four months.  相似文献

A new chemically modified carbon paste electrode based on a mixture of two ion‐exchangers namely chlorpheniramine‐silicotungstate (CPM‐ST) and chlorpheniramine‐tetraphenylborate (CPM‐TPB) as ion‐exchange site for determination of chlorpheniramine maleate (CPM) was described. The best performance was exhibited by the electrode having the paste containing 3.0 wt% ion‐exchangers (CPM‐ST&CPM‐TPB), 48.5 wt% graphite, 47.5 wt% DOPh and 1.0 wt% NaTPB. The proposed chemically modified carbon paste electrode exhibited a Nernstian response for CPM over a wide concentration range of 1.2×10?6 to 1.0×10?2 M with a detection limit of 5.1×10?7 M between pH 4.5 and 7.7 with fast response ≤10 s. The sensor showed good selectivity for CPM with respect to a large number of inorganic cations, organic cations, sugars, amino acids and some common drug excipients. The modified electrode was applied to potentiometric determination of CPM in its pharmaceutical preparations and biological fluids (serum and urine) with average recoveries of 97.5–102% and relative standard deviations of 0.32–1.97%.  相似文献

Abstract

A method has been developed for the determination of sodium in alumina using a selective ion electrode. The alumina sample is dissolved in ammonium hydrogen fluoride in platinum crucibles or sintered with boric acid using either platinum, nickel, or zirconium crucibles. Either dissolution technique completely extracts all available sodium. After dissolution, and in the presence of citrate to prevent aluminum hydroxide precipitation, the pH is adjusted to 8.7 with ammonium hydroxide, and the sodium concentration is determined by a sodium selective ion electrode.  相似文献

A PVC membrane electrode for copper(II) ion based on a recently synthesized Schiff base as a suitable ion carrier was constructed. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian slope of 28.3 ± 0.6 mV per decade of Cu2+ over a wide concentration range of 7.0 × 10?6‐2.6 × 10?2 M with a detection limit of 5.0 × 10?6M in the pH range of 4.2–5.8. The response time is about 10s and it can be used for at least 1 month without any considerable divergence in potential. It was successfully applied as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of copper ions.  相似文献

Conducting polymers, i.e., electroactive conjugated polymers, are useful both as ion‐to‐electron transducers and as sensing membranes in solid‐state ion‐selective electrodes. Recent achievements over the last few years have resulted in significant improvements of the analytical performance of solid‐contact ion‐selective electrodes (solid‐contact ISEs) based on conducting polymers as ion‐to‐electron transducer combined with polymeric ion‐selective membranes. A significant amount of research has also been devoted to solid‐state ISEs based on conducting polymers as the sensing membrane. A new poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane ion‐selective electrode based on bis‐salicyladehyde‐diaminjodipropylamine (BSDDA) as an ion carrier was successfully applied to the detection of Hg2+ ions. This electrode displayed good selectivity toward Hg2+ in comparison with other metal ions and exhibited a Nernstian slope of 30.5 ± 0.4 mV per decade of Hg2+ over a concentration range of 9.5 × 10?7 to 6.4 × 10?2 M of Hg2+ in the pH range 1.5 to 3.5. The detection limit was 7.0 ± 0.2 × 10?7 M and response time was about 10 s to 25 s. The electrode can be used at least 2 months without apparent divergence in potential. In addition, the effects of experimental parameters such as membrane composition, nature and amounts of plasticizer and additive were investigated. The proposed electrode could be used as an indicator electrode in the detection of Hg2+ in samples.  相似文献
