We give here a rigorous formulation for a pair of consecutive simple positive zeros of the functionH 0 (which is closely related to the Riemann -function) to be a Lehmer pair of zeros ofH 0. With this formulation, we establish that each such pair of zeros gives a lower bound for the de Bruijn-Newman constant (where the Riemann Hypothesis is equivalent to the assertion that 0). We also numerically obtain the following new lower bound for :

The Riemann–Roch theorem on a graph G is related to Alexander duality in combinatorial commutative algebra. We study the lattice ideal given by chip firing on G and the initial ideal whose standard monomials are the G-parking functions. When G is a saturated graph, these ideals are generic and the Scarf complex is a minimal free resolution. Otherwise, syzygies are obtained by degeneration. We also develop a self-contained Riemann–Roch theory for Artinian monomial ideals.  相似文献

We briefly survey our recent results about the Mumford goodness of several canonical metrics on the moduli spaces of Riemann surfaces,including the Weil-Petersson metric,the Ricci metric, the Perturbed Ricci metric and the Kahler-Einstein metric.We prove the dual Nakano negativity of the Weil-Petersson metric.As applications of these results we deduce certain important results about the L~2-cohomology groups of the logarithmic tangent bundle over the compactifled moduli spaces.  相似文献

We prove non-subelliptic estimates for the tangential Cauchy-Riemann system over a weakly “q-pseudoconvex” higher codimensional submanifold M of $\mathbb{C}^{n}We prove non-subelliptic estimates for the tangential Cauchy-Riemann system over a weakly “q-pseudoconvex” higher codimensional submanifold M of . Let us point out that our hypotheses do not suffice to guarantee subelliptic estimates, in general. Even more: hypoellipticity of the tangential C-R system is not in question (as shows the example by Kohn of (Trans AMS 181:273–292,1973) in case of a Levi-flat hypersurface). However our estimates suffice for existence of smooth solutions to the inhomogeneous C-R equations in certain degree. The main ingredients in our proofs are the weighted L 2 estimates by H?rmander (Acta Math 113:89–152,1965) and Kohn (Trans AMS 181:273–292,1973) of Sect. 2 and the tangential -Neumann operator by Kohn of Sect 4; for this latter we also refer to the book (Adv Math AMS Int Press 19,2001). As for the notion of q pseudoconvexity we follow closely Zampieri (Compositio Math 121:155–162,2000). The main technical result, Theorem 2.1, is a version for “perturbed” q-pseudoconvex domains of a similar result by Ahn (Global boundary regularity of the -equation on q-pseudoconvex domains, Preprint, 2003) who generalizes in turn Chen-Shaw (Adv Math AMS Int Press 19, 2001).To Prof. Giovanni Zacher in his 80th birthday.  相似文献

Geometric aspects of the moduli space of Riemann surfaces   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
We describe some recent progress in the study of moduli space of Riemann surfaces in this survey paper. New complete Kahler metrics were introduced on the moduli space and Teichmuller space. Their curvature properties and asymptotic behavior were studied in details. These natural metrics served as bridges to connect all the known canonical metrics, especially the Kahler-Einstein metric. We showed that all the known complete metrics on the moduli space are equivalent and have Poincare type growth. Furthermore, the Kahler-Einstein metric has strongly bounded geometry. This also implied that the logarithm cotangent bundle of the moduli space is stable in the sense of Mumford.  相似文献

We present a Riemann–Hilbert problem formalism for the initial value problem for the Camassa–Holm equation ut?utxx+2ωux+3uux=2uxuxx+uuxxx on the line (CH). We show that: (i) for all ω>0, the solution of this problem can be obtained in a parametric form via the solution of some associated Riemann–Hilbert problem; (ii) for large time, it develops into a train of smooth solitons; (iii) for small ω, this soliton train is close to a train of peakons, which are piecewise smooth solutions of the CH equation for ω=0. We consider the Poincaré-Steklov singular integral equation obtained by reducing a boundary value problem for the Laplace operator with a spectral parameter in the boundary condition to the boundary. The solution of the Riemann–Hilbert problem for an analytic function in a canonical domain for the case in which the data of the problem is piecewise constant can be expressed as a Christoffel–Schwartz integral. In this paper, we present an explicit expression for the parameters of this integral obtained by using a Jacobi-type formula for the Lauricella generalized hypergeometric function F D (N). The results can be applied to a number of problems, including those in plasma physics and the mechanics of deformed solids.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a kind of Riemann boundary value problem (for short RBVP) for null solutions to the iterated generalized Cauchy–Riemann operator and the polynomially generalized Cauchy–Riemann operator, on the sphere of ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ with Hölder-continuous boundary data. Making full use of the poly-Cauchy type integral operator in Clifford analysis, we give explicit integral expressions of solutions to this kind of boundary value problems over the sphere of ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ . As special cases solutions of the corresponding boundary value problems for the classical poly-analytic and meta-analytic functions are also derived, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the uniform Hölder continuity of the generalized Riemann function \({R_{\alpha,\beta} \,\,{\rm (with}\,\, \alpha > 1 \,\,{\rm and}\,\, \beta > 0}\)) defined by
$$R_{\alpha,\beta}(x) = \sum_{n=1}^{+\infty} \frac{\sin(\pi n^\beta x)}{n^\alpha},\quad x \in \mathbb{R},$$
using its continuous wavelet transform. In particular, we show that the exponent we find is optimal. We also analyse the behaviour of \({R_{\alpha,\beta} \,\,{\rm as}\,\, \beta}\) tends to infinity.
