[reaction: see text] The influence of palladium catalysts and reaction conditions on the selectivity of Heck reactions of aryl bromides with cyclohexene and cyclopentene has been investigated. It is shown that the addition of DMSO as a cosolvent leads to improved selectivities of nonconjugated aryl olefins. On the other hand, high selectivities for conjugated arylcyclopentenes have been obtained with the catalytic system DMA/Na2CO3/Pd2(dba)3 x dba/PCy3.  相似文献

In the presence of Cy2NMe, Pd/P(t-Bu)3 serves as an exceptionally mild and versatile catalyst for Heck reactions of aryl chlorides and bromides. A sterically and electronically diverse array of aryl bromides, as well as activated aryl chlorides, couple with a range of mono- and disubstituted olefins at room temperature, furnishing the arylated product with high E/Z stereoselection. The corresponding reactions of a broad spectrum of electron-neutral and electron-rich aryl chlorides proceed at elevated temperature, also with high selectivity. In terms of scope and mildness, Pd/P(t-Bu)3/Cy2NMe represents an advance over previously reported catalysts for these Heck coupling processes.

We demonstrate that sterically bulky N,N'-disubstituted cyclic thiourea-Pd(0) complexes are air- and moisture-stable and highly active catalysts for palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction of aryl iodides and bromides with olefins (TONs up to 500000 for the reaction of PhI and methyl acrylate). Even activated aryl chlorides can undergo complete conversion in Bu(4)NBr in the presence of 1 mol % Pd catalyst.  相似文献

A variety of palladium on activated carbon catalysts differing in Pd dispersion, Pd distribution, Pd oxidation state, and water content were tested in Heck reactions of aryl bromides with olefins. The optimization of the catalyst (structure-activity relationship) and reaction conditions (temperature, solvent, base, and Pd loading) allowed Pd/C catalysts with very high activity for Heck reactions of unactivated bromobenzene (turnover number (TON) approximately 18000, turnover frequency (TOF) up to 9000, Pd concentrations down to 0.005 mol %) to be developed. High Pd dispersion, low degree of reduction, sufficient content of water, and uniform Pd impregnation are criteria for the most active system. The catalysts combine high activity and selectivity under ambient conditions (air and moisture), easy separation (filtration), and quantitative recovery of palladium. Determination of Pd in solution after and during the reaction, and catalyst characterization before and after the reaction (transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD)), indicate dissolution/reprecipitation of palladium during the reaction. The Pd concentration in solution is highest at the beginning of the reaction and is a minimum (< 1 ppm) at the end of the reaction. Palladium leaching correlates significantly with the reaction parameters.  相似文献

The rate of the Pd/C catalyzed Heck coupling of Ar-I with CH(2)=CH-R is accelerated tenfold by the presence of Aliquat 336 (A336), a well known phase transfer catalyst, and an ionic liquid. Both when conducted in A336 as solvent, and in an isooctane/A336/aqueous triphasic mixture, the Heck reaction of aryl iodides with electron deficient olefins, catalyzed by Pd/C, proceeds with high yields and selectivity. When KOH is used instead of Et(3)N, selective formation of the biphenyl rather than the Heck product, is observed. Aryl bromides react more sluggishly, and only the more activated ones undergo the Heck reaction. In the absence of the olefin, aryl halides possessing an electron withdrawing group are reduced to the corresponding Ar-H.  相似文献

Mizoroki–Heck couplings of aryl iodides and bromides with butyl acrylate were investigated as model systems to perform transition‐metal‐catalyzed transformations in continuous‐flow mode. As a suitable ligandless catalyst system for the Mizoroki–Heck couplings both heterogeneous and homogeneous Pd catalysts (Pd/C and Pd acetate) were considered. In batch mode, full conversion with excellent selectivity for coupling was achieved applying high‐temperature microwave conditions with Pd levels as low as 10?3 mol %. In continuous‐flow mode with Pd/C as a catalyst, significant Pd leaching from the heterogeneous catalyst was observed as these Mizoroki–Heck couplings proceed by a homogeneous mechanism involving soluble Pd colloids/nanoparticles. By applying low levels of Pd acetate as homogeneous Pd precatalyst, successful continuous‐flow Mizoroki–Heck transformations were performed in a high‐temperature/pressure flow reactor. For both aryl iodides and bromides, high isolated product yields of the cinnamic esters were obtained. Mechanistic issues involving the Pd‐catalyzed Mizoroki–Heck reactions are discussed.  相似文献

A series of N,N′-mono substituted acyclic thiourea ligands are found to be highly active phosphine-free catalysts for palladium catalyzed Heck reaction of aryl iodides and bromides with olefins. We have achieved high turnover numbers for aryl iodides with olefins (TONs up to 970,000 for the reaction of iodobenzene with styrene).  相似文献

In situ generation of highly active palladium species by intermediate dissolution of Pd from solid supported catalysts has been demonstrated to be a very successful approach for the activation of aryl chlorides in Heck reactions. The new ‘heterogeneous’ Pd catalysts act as reservoir for molecular Pd species with unsaturated coordination sphere in solution. Crucial Pd leaching and re-deposition onto the support can be controlled by optimization of reaction conditions and by the properties of the catalysts. Pd is re-deposited onto the support at the end of the reaction. The catalysts, palladium supported on activated carbon, on various metal oxides or fluorides and Pd complexes in zeolites, are easy to prepare, though the preparation conditions are crucial. The catalysts convert all aryl bromides completely within minutes (TON 100,000). Aryl chlorides (even deactivated ones) are converted with high yields, within 2-6 h. The catalysts belong to the most active ones in Heck reactions at all (including best homogeneous systems) and fulfill all relevant requirements for practical applications in laboratory and industry.  相似文献

Carbene adduct of cyclopalladated ferrocenylimine has been successfully applied to Heck reaction of various aryl bromides with olefins. On the basis of kinetic studies, in situ 13C NMR spectra investigations and Hg poisoning experiments, it was proposed that the Heck reaction catalyzed by carbene adduct of cyclopalladated ferrocenylimine proceeded through a classical Pd(0)/Pd(II) cycle and such palladacycle was only a reservoir of the catalytically active Pd(0) species.  相似文献

Three selenium-ligated Pd(II) complexes were readily synthesized and shown to be extremely active catalysts for the Heck reaction of various aryl bromides, including deactivated and heterocyclic ones. The catalytic activity of the selenide-based Pd(II) complexes not only rivals but vastly outperforms that of the corresponding phosphorus and sulfur analogues. Practical advantages of the selenium-based catalysts include their straightforward synthesis and high activity in the absence of any additives as well as the enhanced stability of the selenide ligands toward air oxidation.  相似文献

The Forum Article critically summarizes investigations and discussions on the nature and role of potential active species in C-C coupling reactions of the Heck type using catalyst systems with "ligand-free" inorganic salts, simple inorganic complexes, and supported and nonsupported (colloidal) Pd particles. From a series of experiments and reports, it can be concluded that the "active species" is generated in situ in catalytic systems at higher temperature conditions (>100 degrees C). In all heterogeneous systems with solid Pd catalysts, Pd is dissolved from the solid catalyst surface under reaction conditions by a chemical reaction (complex formation and/or oxidative addition of the aryl halide), forming extremely active coordinatively unsaturated Pd species. Pd is partially or completely redeposited onto the support at the end of the reaction when the aryl halide is used up. The Pd dissolution-redeposition processes correlate with the reaction rate and are strongly influenced by the reaction conditions. Skilled preparation of the catalyst and careful adjustment of the reaction conditions allowed the development of highly active heterogeneous catalysts (Pd/C, Pd/metal oxide, and Pd/zeolite), converting aryl bromides and aryl chlorides in high yields and short reaction times. Reaction conditions have been developed allowing the conversion of bromobenzene with turnover numbers (TONs) of 10(7) and even of unreactive aryl chlorides (chlorobenzene and chlorotoluene) in high yields with simple "ligand-free" Pd catalyst systems like PdCl2 or Pd(OH)2 in the absence of any organic ligand. Simple coordinatively unsaturated anionic palladium halide (in particular, bromo) complexes [PdXn](m-) play a crucial role as precursor and active species in all ligand-free and heterogeneous catalyst systems and possibly in Heck reactions at all.  相似文献

A kind of amino‐functionalized ionic liquid has been prepared and investigated as ligand and base for the Heck reactions between aryl iodides and bromides with olefins in the presence of a catalytic amount of Pd submicron powder in [Bmim]PF6. The reactions generated the corresponding products in excellent yields under mild reaction conditions. The generality of this catalytic system to the different substrates also gave satisfactory results. The key feature of the reaction is that Pd species and ionic liquids were easily recovered and reused six times with constant activity. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The aminophosphine-based pincer complexes [C6H3-2,6-(XP(piperidinyl)2)2Pd(Cl)] (X=NH 1; X=O 2) are readily prepared from cheap starting materials by sequential addition of 1,1',1'-phosphinetriyltripiperidine and 1,3-diaminobenzene or resorcinol to solutions of [Pd(cod)(Cl)2] (cod=cyclooctadiene) in toluene under N2 in "one pot". Compounds 1 and 2 proved to be excellent Heck catalysts and allow the quantitative coupling of several electronically deactivated and sterically hindered aryl bromides with various olefins as coupling partners at 140 degrees C within very short reaction times and low catalyst loadings. Increased reaction temperatures also enable the efficient coupling of olefins with electronically deactivated and sterically hindered aryl chlorides in the presence of only 0.01 mol % of catalyst. The mechanistic studies performed rule out that homogeneous Pd 0 complexes are the catalytically active forms of 1 and 2. On the other hand, the involvement of palladium nanoparticles in the catalytic cycle received strong experimental support. Even though pincer-type Pd IV intermediates derived from 1 (and 2) are not involved in the catalytic cycle of the Heck reaction, their general existence as reactive intermediates (for example, in other reactions) cannot be excluded. On the contrary, they were shown to be thermally accessible. Compounds 1 and 2 show a smooth halide exchange with bromobenzene to yield their bromo derivatives in DMF at 100 degrees C. Experimental observations revealed that the halide exchange most probably proceeded via pincer-type Pd IV intermediates. DFT calculations support this hypothesis and indicated that aminophosphine-based pincer-type Pd IV intermediates are generally to be considered as reactive intermediates in reactions with aryl halides performed at elevated temperatures.  相似文献

The complexes PdII(qcq)(OAc) and PtII(qcq)Cl have been synthesized using environmentally benign synthesized ligands and characterized by elemental analyses: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV–visible spectroscopy, 1H NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The catalytic activity of the complex was assessed, in different media, for the Mizoroki–Heck coupling reaction for typical aryl halides and terminal olefins under aerobic conditions. Since the base and the solvent were found to influence the efficiency of the reaction, reaction conditions, temperature, time, and the amount of K3PO4 and a mixture of H2O/PEG, were optimized. We found, for the Mizoroki–Heck reaction coupling less reactive aryl chloride derivatives with olefins, promising activity for palladium catalysts. The electrochemical behavior of Hqcq and the Pd(II) complex was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and irreversible PdII/I reductions were observed. Hqcq and the Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes were also screened for their in vitro antibacterial activity. They showed promising antibacterial activity comparable to that of the antibiotic penicillin.  相似文献

Carbonylation of olefins, alcohols and halides using homogeneous as well as heterogeneous catalysts has been discussed. Highlights of contributions on the activity, selectivity and stability of catalysts for carbonylation reactions are discussed. Kinetics and mechanism including characterization of the intermediate catalytic species has also been reviewed. The performance of anchored Pd complexes on mesoporous supports (MCM-41 and MCM-48), water soluble Pd complexes and supported Pd catalysts in carbonylation of aryl alcohols and olefins has been discussed in the context of catalyst-product separation. Some aspects of kinetic modelling and reaction engineering of these multiphase catalytic reactions have also been reviewed.  相似文献

A series of magnetically recyclable Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts were synthesized using the superparamagnetic Fe3O4@g-Al2O3core–shell microspheres as the supporter and nano-Pd particles assembled on g-Al2O3 shell as the active catalytic component. The structure of the catalysts was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),N2adsorption–desorption and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).The catalytic activity and the recyclability properties of the catalysts for the Heck coupling reaction with aryl bromides and the olefins were investigated. The results show that the microspheres of the magnetic Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts were about 400 nm and the nano-Pd particles assembled on g-Al2O3 shell were about 3–4 nm in size. The saturation magnetization(MS) of the magnetic catalysts was sufficiently high to allow magnetic separations. In the Heck coupling reactions, the magnetic Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts exhibited good catalytic activity and recyclability. With Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3(0.021 mol%) catalyst, the bromobenzene conversion and product yield reached about 96.8% and 91.2%,respectively,at 120 8C and in 14 h.After being recycled for six times, the conversion of bromobenzene and the recovery of the catalyst were about80% and 90%,respectively.The nano-Pd particles were kept well dispersed in the used Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Sterically demanding, sulfonated arylphosphines TXPTS and TMAPTS have been applied to the aqueous-phase Heck and Suzuki coupling of aryl bromides. TXPTS provides good yields of Heck coupling products from aryl bromides at 80 degrees C, while both TMAPTS and TPPTS gave significantly less active catalysts. TXPTS is the first ligand to promote the aqueous-phase Heck coupling under such mild conditions. Both TXPTS and TMAPTS provide active catalysts for Suzuki couplings of aryl bromides at 50 degrees C.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Ligand-free Pd(OAc)(2) can be used as a catalyst in the Heck reaction of aryl bromides as long as the amount of catalyst is kept between 0.01 and 0.1 mol %. At higher concentrations palladium black forms and the reaction stops. The actual catalyst is monomeric. Palladacycles merely serve as a source of ligand-free palladium in Heck reactions of aryl bromides.  相似文献

Heterogeneous, metal, single‐site catalysts often exhibit higher catalytic performance than other catalysts because of their maximized atom efficiency of 100 %. Reported herein is a precoordination/solvothermal polymerization strategy to fabricate a stable mononuclear Pd‐metalized porous organic polymer catalyst (Pd@POP). Pd@POP was easy to use in regioselective organic reactions because the internal structure of this Pd@POP can be easily modified. The catalyst was used to solve the intractable regioselectivity problems of Heck reactions. Pd@POP‐9 can efficiently activate the ends of olefins, thereby leading to high selectivity for substitution at the external position. To understand the reason underlying the high selectivity and activity of the catalyst, the systemic characterization of Pd@POP‐9 and density‐functional theory calculations were conducted. This Heck reaction is the first to be catalyzed by a recyclable mononuclear metal catalyst with unprecedented catalytic activity and regioselectivity.  相似文献
