A dynamic analysis model is established for a coupled high-speed train and bridge system subjected to collision-load. A 7×32 m simply-supported high-speed railway bridge with box girders is considered as an illustrating case study. A high-speed China-Star train is traveling on the bridge. The time history curve of a drifting-floe collision force is obtained from a field experiment and introduced as the excitation load on the bridge piers. Then, the dynamic response of the coupled train–bridge system subjected to the measured drifting-floe collision is calculated. Afterwards, the running safety indices such as derailment factor, offload factor and lateral wheel-rail force of train vehicles are investigated. The results show that the dynamic response of the bridge subjected to a collision load is much greater than the one without a collision, resulting in a big influence on the running safety of high-speed trains. For the case study, a critical train speed curve is proposed to evaluate the running safety of train vehicles on the bridge under drifting-floe collision with various intensities.  相似文献

As a maglev transport route has to cross a region with occasional earthquakes, the train/guideway interaction is an issue of great concern in dominating safety of the maglev system. This paper intends to present a computational framework of interaction analysis for a maglev train traveling over a suspension bridge shaken by horizontal earthquakes. The suspended guideway girder is modeled as a single-span suspended beam and the maglev train traveling over it as a series of maglev masses. Due to motion-dependent nature of magnetic forces in a maglev suspension system, appropriate adjustments of the magnetic forces between magnets and guide-rail require the air gaps be continuously monitored. Thus an on-board hybrid LQR+PID controller with constraint rule base is designed to control the dynamic response of a running maglev mass. Then the governing equations of motion for the suspended beam associated with all the controlled maglev masses are transformed into a set of generalized equations by Galerkin's method, and solved using an incremental-iterative procedure. Numerical investigations demonstrate that when a controlled maglev train travels over a suspended guideway shaken by horizontal earthquakes, the proposed hybrid controller has the ability to adjust the levitation gaps in a prescribed stable region for safety reasons and to reduce the vehicle's acceleration response for ride quality.  相似文献

This paper presents a vibro-acoustic modelling of a railway bridge excited by a moving train. The modelling of the bridge-train system is carried out by the modal superposition method taking into account the train mass, the viscoelastic suspension of the vehicles with an unlimited number of trucks and spans of the bridge. The numerical resolution of the coupled equations of motion is carried out by the Newmark’s method with an iterative process. we studied on one hand the influence of the track irregularities on the dynamic behaviour of the bridge-train system on the other hand the noise radiated by the bridge due to the passage of the train. The acoustic pressure is obtained by solving the wave equation which has as excitations source the bridge acceleration, they are considered as acoustic monopoles.  相似文献

DYNAMIC STABILITY OF TRAINS MOVING OVER BRIDGES SHAKEN BY EARTHQUAKES   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The dynamic stability of trains moving over bridges shaken by earthquakes is studied. Unlike the seismic analysis of structures containing a single subsystem, the seismic analysis of a bridge sustaining a passing train requires not only information on acceleration, but also on velocity and displacement of the ground motion. Four typical earthquakes, including the 1999 Chi-Chi Earthquake, were adopted as the input excitations, each of which was normalized to have a moderate intensity. The results indicate that a train initially resting on the bridge can stay safely under the ground motions considered, if the bridge and track structures do not exhibit inelastic deformations during the earthquake. The type of the vertical component of ground motions can affect significantly the stability of the train-rail- bridge system. As a preliminary attempt, safety, possible instability and instability regions were established in a three-phase plot for the train running over the bridge for each of the earthquakes considered, from which the maximum allowable speed for the train to run safely under the specified ground acceleration can be obtained.  相似文献

The dynamic interaction between high-speed train and simply supported girders is studied by theoretical analysis and field experiment in this paper. The dynamic interaction model of the train–bridge system is established, in which the rigid-body dynamics theory, finite element method and wheel–rail displacement corresponding assumption are adopted for the vehicle model, bridge model and wheel–rail interaction model, respectively. The measured track irregularities are taken as the system excitation. The responses of a 24 m-span PC box girder bridge are calculated. The proposed analysis model and the solution method are verified through the comparison between the calculated results and the measured results.  相似文献

In predictions of railway-induced vibrations, a distinction is generally made between the quasi-static and dynamic excitation. The quasi-static excitation is related to the static component of the axle loads. The dynamic excitation is due to dynamic train–track interaction, which is generated by a large number of excitation mechanisms, such as the spatial variation of the support stiffness and the wheel and track unevenness. In the present paper, the quasi-static excitation and the dynamic excitation due to random track unevenness are evaluated by means of numerical predictions. A solution strategy is presented that allows for the evaluation of the second-order statistics of the response due to dynamic excitation based on the power spectral density function of the track unevenness. Due to the motion of the train, the second-order statistics of the response at a fixed point in the free field are non-stationary and an appropriate solution procedure is required. The quasi-static and dynamic contribution to the track and free-field response are analysed for the case of InterCity and high-speed trains running at a subcritical train speed. It is shown how the train speed affects the quasi-static and dynamic contribution. Finally, results of numerical predictions for different train speeds are compared with field measurements that have been performed at a site along the high-speed line L2 Brussels–Köln within the frame of homologation tests.  相似文献

The problem of dynamic response of a beam to the passage of a train of concentrated forces with random amplitudes and velocities is considered. Force arrivals at the beam are assumed to constitute the point stochastic process of events. Thus, the excitation process is an idealization of vehicular traffic loads on a bridge. An analytical technique is developed to determine the response of the beam. Explicit expressions for the expected value and the variance of the beam deflection are provided. As an example, the response of a beam to a stationary stream of forces is determined for some practical situations, and discussed.  相似文献

In conventional non-linear seismic analyses of cable-stayed bridges, the non-linear characteristics of the girders, stay cables and towers are considered. The non-linearity caused by cable loosening should also be considered because a large axial force fluctuation is generated in the cables of a prestressed concrete (PC) cable-stayed bridge that is subjected to strong seismic motion. In this paper, the possibility of the cable loosening in a PC cable-stayed bridge is discussed by using a cable model that can express the cable loosening. Furthermore, the effect of the cable loosening on the responses of the cables, girder and towers is evaluated using the mean value for three seismic waves. Numerical analytic results imply that the cable loosening appears in the bottom cables of the multi-cable system and the dynamic response of the bridge is slightly increased.  相似文献

A theory of nonlinear response is developed for studying nonlinear phenomena and nonlinear transport processes in nonideal Coulomb systems. Temporal plasma echo and transformation of waves in a nonideal Coulomb system are studied on the basis of the theory of nonlinear response to mechanical perturbations. General constraints imposed on nonlinear response functions are considered, and the model for determining quadratic response functions is formulated. The conditions for the emergence of temporal plasma echo and wave transformation are determined. It is shown that these nonlinear effects in a nonideal plasma can be initiated by ultrashort field pulses. A theory of transport is developed for determining the Burnett transport properties of a nonideal multielement plasma. A procedure is proposed for comparing the phenomenological conservation equations for a charged continuous medium and equations of motion for the operators of corresponding dynamic variables. The Mori algorithm is used for deriving the equations of motion for operators of dynamic variables in the form of generalized Langevin equations. The linearized Burnett approximation is considered in detail. The properties of the matrices of coefficients of higher-order derivatives in the system of conservation equations in the linearized Burnett approximation, which are important for hydrodynamic applications, are discussed. Various versions of the theory of nonlinear response are compared.  相似文献

Both the vibration of a railway bridge under a moving train and the associated bridge-borne noise are time-varying in nature. The former is commonly predicted in the time domain to take its time-varying and nonlinear properties into account, whereas acoustic computation is generally conducted in the frequency domain to obtain steady responses. This paper presents a general procedure for obtaining various characteristics of concrete bridge-borne low-frequency noise by bridging the gap between time-domain bridge vibration computation and frequency-domain bridge-borne noise simulation. The finite element method (FEM) is first used to solve the transient train–track–bridge dynamic interaction problem, with an emphasis on the local vibration of the bridge. The boundary element method (BEM) is then applied to find the frequency-dependent modal acoustic transfer vectors (MATVs). The time-domain sound pressure is finally obtained with the help of time–frequency transforms. The proposed procedure is applied to a real urban rail transit U-shaped concrete bridge to compute the bridge acceleration and bridge-borne noise, and these results are compared with the field measurement results. Both sets of results show the proposed procedure to be feasible and accurate and the dominant frequencies of concrete bridge-borne noise to range from 32 Hz to 100 Hz.  相似文献

This paper investigates the resonant characteristics of three-dimensional bridges when high-speed trains pass them. Multi-span bridges with high piers and simply supported beams were used in the dynamic finite element analysis. The dominated train frequencies proposed in this study can be clearly seen from the finite element result. To avoid resonance, the dominated train frequencies and the bridge natural frequencies should be as different as possible, especially for the first dominated train frequency and the first bridge natural frequency in each direction. If the two first frequencies are similar, the bridge resonance can be serious. This study also indicates that a suitable axial stiffness between two simple beams can reduce vibrations at a near-resonance condition. The axial stiffness of the continuous railway and the friction of the bearing plate should be enough to obtain this axial stiffness.  相似文献

The present paper investigates the convergence of the Galerkin method for the dynamic response of an elastic beam resting on a nonlinear foundation with viscous damping subjected to a moving concentrated load. It also studies the effect of different boundary conditions and span length on the convergence and dynamic response. A train–track or vehicle–pavement system is modeled as a force moving along a finite length Euler–Bernoulli beam on a nonlinear foundation. Nonlinear foundation is assumed to be cubic. The Galerkin method is utilized in order to discretize the nonlinear partial differential governing equation of the forced vibration. The dynamic response of the beam is obtained via the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method. Three types of the conventional boundary conditions are investigated. The railway tracks on stiff soil foundation running the train and the asphalt pavement on soft soil foundation moving the vehicle are treated as examples. The dependence of the convergence of the Galerkin method on boundary conditions, span length and other system parameters are studied.  相似文献

An analysis of natural frequency and dynamic response of a cantilever beam subjected to base motion is presented. The analysis is extended to a case in which the cantilever is mounted on a composite support. Typical numerical results for the natural frequency and the deflection of the beam are given for both cases to illustrate the attenuation of motion by the composite mount.  相似文献

This paper attempts to demonstrate an application of the author's simulation model for predicting the train-track and nearby ground-borne vibrations by the Swedish high-speed train X-2000 at Ledsgard. The validation of the computation results are tested against the available field measurement data at the site. In this way, the theoretical prediction of the model can be verified whilst also providing a clear-cut explanation of the observed data. The findings are stated as follows:The train-induced vibrations at the track differ significantly depending on train geometry and speed. At low speeds the response is quasi-static so that the track response due to train axle loads appears mostly downward at the point of their action. On the other hand, at high speeds the train-induced response becomes dynamic due to the inertia generated in the track-ground system, so that the track vibrations appear evenly in both upward and downward directions. As the results of the soft soil deposits at Ledsgard, the high train speed is almost in the trans-Rayleigh wave state so that a large amplified track response appeared due to the resonance between the track behavior and the Rayleigh wave propagation in the ground. This is explained by the frequency-wavenumber spectrum. To provide useful engineering information relating to vibration mitigation at the train track and nearby ground, a preliminary investigation was carried out by simulating the effect of constructing of a wave impeding barrier (WIB) at the site. The aforementioned frequency-wavenumber spectrum showed that the stiffening effects by the WIB installation into soft layers led a shift of response from a large dynamic one at high train speeds to a small, quasi-static one.  相似文献

This paper presents an experimental study of the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of taut steel cables using a 3-D motion analysis system. In the experiment, the taut cables have one end fixed and the other end subject to harmonic vertical excitation. The 3-D motion analysis system can simultaneously record (with high resolution) the instant 3-D coordinates of the multiple markers fixed on a vibrating cable; this distinguishes it from other experimental systems used in vibration studies, in which the vibration of only one single point can be recorded during each individual testing. With the 3-D motion analysis system, this experimental study presents a distinctive interpretation of the dynamic characteristics of taut cables in spatial domain (based on the mode-shape information of the entire cable), in addition to one in time domain (based on real-time traces of one single point). This paper introduces the 3-D motion analysis system and experimental setup, discusses practical experimental procedures, and presents a detailed analysis of three sets of experimental vibration data of three taut steel cables with different small sags. The frequency response curves were obtained for three cables. For one of the three taut cables, more informative vibration data were recorded; this cable was studied in greater detail via modal analysis using a modal decomposition technique and nonlinear time-series analysis.  相似文献

Stochastic response of bridges seismically isolated by lead-rubber bearings (LRB) is investigated. The earthquake excitation is modeled as a non-stationary random process (i.e. uniformly modulated broad-band excitation). The stochastic response of isolated bridge is obtained using the time-dependent equivalent linearization technique as the force-deformation behavior of the LRB is highly nonlinear. The non-stationary response of isolated bridge is compared with the corresponding stationary response in order to study the effects of non-stationary characteristics of the earthquake input motion. For a given isolated bridge system and excitation, it was observed that there exists an optimum value of the yield strength of LRB for which the root mean square (rms) absolute acceleration of bridge deck attains the minimum value. The optimum yield strength of LRB is investigated under important parametric variations such as isolation period and damping ratio of the LRB and the frequency content and intensity of earthquake excitation. It is shown that the above parameters have significant effects on the optimum yield strength of LRB. Finally, closed-form expressions for the optimum yield strength of LRB and corresponding response of the isolated bridge system are proposed. These expressions were derived based on the model of bridge with rigid deck and pier condition subjected to stationary white-noise excitation. It was observed that there is a very good comparison between the proposed closed-form expressions and actual optimum parameters and response of the isolated bridge system. These expressions can be used for initial optimal design of seismic isolation system for the bridges.  相似文献

Simple numerical models of point loads are used to represent single and multiple vehicle events on two-lane bridges with a good road profile. While such models are insufficiently complex to calculate dynamic amplification accurately, they are presented here to provide an understanding of the influence of speed and distance between vehicles on the bridge dynamic response. Critical combinations of speed as a function of main bridge natural frequency and meeting point of two vehicles travelling in opposite directions are identified. It is proposed that such simple models can be used to estimate the pattern of critical speeds versus dynamic amplification of the bridge response for trucks on a relatively smooth surface. The crossing of a three-dimensional spring-dashpot truck is simulated over a bridge plate model to test this hypothesis for a range of road roughness. Further validation is carried out using the site-specific mean pattern associated to field measurements of bridge strains when traversed by a truck population. The latter is found to be closely resembled by the theoretical pattern derived from simple point load models.  相似文献

In formulating mathematical models for dynamical systems, obtaining a high degree of qualitative correctness (i.e. predictive capability) may not be the only objective. The model must be useful for its intended application, and models of reduced complexity are attractive in many cases where time-consuming numerical procedures are required. This paper discusses the derivation of discrete low-dimensional models for the nonlinear vibration analysis of thin cylindrical shells. In order to understand the peculiarities inherent to this class of structural problems, the nonlinear vibrations and dynamic stability of a circular cylindrical shell subjected to static and dynamic loads are analyzed. This choice is based on the fact that cylindrical shells exhibit a highly nonlinear behavior under both static and dynamic loads. Geometric nonlinearities due to finite-amplitude shell motions are considered by using Donnell's nonlinear shallow-shell theory. A perturbation procedure, validated in previous studies, is used to derive a general expression for the nonlinear vibration modes and the discretized equations of motion are obtained by the Galerkin method using modal expansions for the displacements that satisfy all the relevant boundary and symmetry conditions. Next, the model is analyzed via the Karhunen-Loève expansion to investigate the relative importance of each mode obtained by the perturbation solution on the nonlinear response and total energy of the system. The responses of several low-dimensional models are compared. It is shown that rather low-dimensional but properly selected models can describe with good accuracy the response of the shell up to very large vibration amplitudes.  相似文献
