Entanglement and coherence are two important resources in quantum information theory. A question naturally arises: Is there some connection between them? We prove that the entanglement of formation and the first-order coherence of two-qubit states satisfy an inequality relation. Two-qubit pure state reaches the upper bound of this inequality. A large number of randomly generated states are used to intuitively verify the complementarity between the entanglement of formation and the first-order coherence. We give the maximum accessible coherence of two-qubit states. Our research results will provide a reliable theoretical basis for conversion of the two quantum resources.  相似文献

We propose an efficient scheme to generate a macroscopical quantum superposition state with a cavity optomechanical system, which is composed of a quantum Rabi-Stark model coupling to a mechanical oscillator. In a low-energy subspace of the Rabi-Stark model, the dressed states and then the effective Hamiltonian of the system are given. Due to the coupling of the mechanical oscillator and the atom-cavity system, if the initial state of the atom-cavity system is one of the dressed states, the mechanical oscillator will evolve into a corresponding coherent state. Thus, if the initial state of the atom-cavity system is a superposition of two dressed states, a coherent state superposition of the mechanical oscillator can be generated. The quantum coherence and their distinguishable properties of the two coherent states are exhibited by Wigner distribution. We show that the Stark term can enhance significantly the feasibility and quantum coherence of the generated macroscopic quantum superposition state of the oscillator.  相似文献

Detecting multipartite quantum coherence usually requires quantum state reconstruction, which is quite inefficient for large-scale quantum systems. Along this line of research, several efficient procedures have been proposed to detect multipartite quantum coherence without quantum state reconstruction, among which the spectrum-estimation-based method is suitable for various coherence measures. Here, we first generalize the spectrum-estimation-based method for the geometric measure of coherence. Then, we investigate the tightness of the estimated lower bound of various coherence measures, including the geometric measure of coherence, the l1-norm of coherence, the robustness of coherence, and some convex roof quantifiers of coherence multiqubit GHZ states and linear cluster states. Finally, we demonstrate the spectrum-estimation-based method as well as the other two efficient methods. We observe that the spectrum-estimation-based method outperforms other methods in various coherence measures, which significantly enhances the accuracy of estimation.  相似文献

在坐标表象下,研究了几类相干态的量子保真度,对于相干态,我们给出了量子保真度的解析表达式,考查了谐振子特征长度 ,平移距离 对保真度的影响;对于相干态 与 的叠加态,考查了初态量子干涉对量子保真度的影响,结论表明:量子保真度呈周期性;与相干态的量子保真度比较而言,当谐振子处于第二类相干态时,量子干涉能抑制量子态失真,当谐振子处于第三类相干态时,量子干涉能抑制量子态失真,也可能加大量子态失真.  相似文献

The standard deviation (SD) quantifies the spread of the observed values on a measurement of an observable. In this paper, we study the distribution of SD among the different components of a superposition state. It is found that the SD of an observable on a superposition state can be well bounded by the SDs of the superposed states. We also show that the bounds also serve as good bounds on coherence of a superposition state. As a further generalization, we give an alternative definition of incompatibility of two observables subject to a given state and show how the incompatibility subject to a superposition state is distributed.  相似文献

自量子力学诞生以来,相干性和互补性一直是被广泛而深入研究的两个重要课题.随着量子信息近年来的发展,人们引入了若干度量来定量地刻画相干性和互补性.本文建立两个信息守恒关系式,分别基于"Bures距离-保真度"和"对称-非对称",并且利用它们来刻画相干性和互补性.具体来说,首先从信息守恒的观点解释Bures距离和保真度的互补关系,并由此自然推导出Mach-Zehnder干涉仪中的Englert"干涉-路径"互补关系.其次在量子态和信道相互作用的一般框架中讨论"对称-非对称"信息守恒关系,并揭示其与Bohr互补性和量子相干性的内在联系.最后,在Mach-Zehnder干涉仪中探讨相干、退相干及互补性,刻画两个信息守恒关系之间的密切联系.  相似文献

提出了一个由两个弱探测场和两个强耦合场驱动的四能级双V型原子系统, 研究发现在四波混频共振条件下, 两探测场均可被放大而无须粒子数反转. 值得注意的是, 由于所选择的激发态为超精细结构的两个近能级, 这里必须考虑自发辐射相干效应的影响. 与不考虑自发辐射相干相比, 同样参数条件下探测场的增益得到大幅度提高.而且, 探测场增益对相位非常敏感, 即增益-吸收线型受相位周期性调制, 同时也受两个偶极矩之间夹角θ制约. 此外还分析了相干抽运场 (强耦合场)的失谐对增益谱线产生的影响. 关键词: 无粒子数反转激光 四波混频 自发辐射相干  相似文献

According to quantum theory, microscopic objects exist in a superposition of distinct states until they are “observed”. Nobody knows whether such quantum coherence can actually exist in a macroscopic system. In the experiment described here, a superconducting quantum interference device is extremely well isolated from any interaction with internal or external modes, and a superposition state can be demonstrated even if it lasts for less than 1 ns. This is accomplished by using superconducting digital electronic circuitry as the experimental apparatus. If successful, it is the first step toward a future full-scale quantum computer fabricated using integrated circuit manufacturing techniques.  相似文献

We discuss a possible realization of a quantum register with controllable decoherence in terms of /0> and /1> photon number states of a micromaser field. It is shown how to create in the Jaynes-Cummings model a superposition state of /0> and /1> photon number states inside a closed micromaser cavity. The loss of phase coherence between these two states can subsequently be measured by a second probe atom monitoring the decoherence of the field. A technique is proposed for forming the superposition of number states /0> and /1> using the time structure of the Rabi oscillation. The proposed method avoids problems with stray fields at the cavity holes, which disturb the coherence of the atomic superposition, and offers a way to study how the coupling strength to the environment influences the decoherence rate, displaying the robustness of physical qubits and the fidelity of quantum computations.  相似文献

We examine the possibility to write, store and retrieve light pulses into an ensemble of V-type three-level atoms where quantum interference of the spontaneous emission from the two upper states is accounted for. It is shown that the adiabatic change of the splitting of the two upper states can be used as a knob to transfer the electromagnetic excitation into a certain combination of coherences. The quantum properties of the mapping are also analyzed. The feasibility of obtaining such a process in a solid state system, where Fano-interferences mimic the vacuum induced coherence produced in atomic system is considered.  相似文献

It is shown that two trapped ions interacting with laser beams resonant to the first red side-band of center-of-mass mode,in Lamb-Dicke regime and under rotating wave approximation,is described by a Jaynes-Cummings model.For the initial condition that the motional state of center-of-mass mode is in vacuum state and the internal state is prepared in a coherent superposition of states,coherence and squeezing for the vibratile motion of center-of-mass mode are discussed,particularly,a“weak” coherent state and a “weak” squeezed vacuum state are obtained.Collapse and revival are also observed in this type of initial condition.  相似文献

In this paper, we study coherence-induced state ordering with Tsallis relative entropy of coherence, relative entropy of coherence and l1 norm of coherence, and give the sufficient conditions of the same state order induced by above coherence measures. First, we show that the above measures give the same ordering for single-qubit states in some special cases. Second, we consider some special states in a d-dimensional quantum system. We show that the above measures generate the same ordering for these special states. Finally, we discuss dynamics of coherence-induced state ordering under Markovian channels. We find amplitude damping channel changes the coherence-induced ordering even though for single-qubit states with fixed mixedness.  相似文献

Quantum resources play crucial roles for displaying superiority in many quantum communication and computation tasks. To reveal the intrinsic relations hidden in these quantum resources, many efforts have been made in recent years. In this work, the correlations of the tripartite W‐type states based on bipartite quantum resources are investigated. The inter‐relations among the degree of coherence, concurrence, Bell nonlocality, and purity are presented. Considering Bell nonlocal and Bell local (satisfied the Clauser–Horne–Shimony–Holt inequality) states for the two‐qubit subsystems derived from the tripartite W‐type states, exact lower and upper boundaries of the degree of coherence versus concurrence are obtained. Interestingly, exact relation among the degree of coherence, concurrence, and purity is obtained. Moreover, coherence is also closely related to entanglement in two specific scenarios: the tripartite W‐type state under decoherence and a practical system for a renormalized spin‐1/2 Heisenberg model.  相似文献

We investigate the phase probability distribution (PPD) of a single-mode micromaser pumped by atoms injected in the most general case, i.e. in the superposition of the upper, intermediate and lower states by the Monte Carlo wave function approach. The phase properties of the cavity mode are greatly influenced by the relative phases and the amplitudes of the polarized atoms, and the detunings between the atom and cavity. The cavity field has a single preferred phase if the cavity is pumped by the atoms in the superposition of the upper and intermediate states or of the intermediate and lower states. However, a double-peak feature appears in the PPD of the cavity field when the cavity is pumped by the atoms in the superposition of the upper and lower states. With appropriate detunings, the double peaks become narrower and more remarkable, which shows the better defined phase of the cavity field, as compared to the resonant case. The PPD displays complicated characteristics when the cavity is pumped by the atoms in the superposition of the upper, intermediate and lower states. The phase distribution changes from a single peak to double peaks and to another single peak when we modulate the phase of the intermediate state, which has been explained in the semi-classical radiation theory.  相似文献

A theoretical investigation is carried out into the effect of spontaneously generated coherence (SGC) on Kerr nonlinearity of a four-level N-type system. It’s found that the Kerr nonlinearity can be obviously enhanced with SGC present. We attribute the enhancement of Kerr nonlinearity mainly to the generation of extra coherences induced by the superposition of the two SGC channels, and when the superposition is controlled by the interference between two SGC channels properly, the maximal Kerr nonlinearity does not only enter the electromagnetically induced transparency window as the spontaneous generated coherences intensify, but also gets enhanced about 10 times with very large SGC coefficients than that with no SGC effect.  相似文献

The coherence transformation and distillation for a class of special mixed coherent states of rank-2 under incoherent operations (IO) is discussed. Similar to the entanglement transformation for mixed entangled states, the catalytic coherence transformation for this class of special mixed coherent states is analyzed. On the one hand, it is found that some of the mixed coherent states can be converted into other mixed coherent states under IO. But for those mixed coherent states which fail in the coherence conversion under IO, the catalytic coherence manipulation can solve this problem. In this case, a mixed coherent state cannot be converted into another under IO, while the coherence transformation can be realized with the help of coherence-assisted incoherent operations, that is, catalytic coherence transformation. On the other hand, these special mixed coherent states can be distilled into the maximally pure coherent states or mixed states of arbitrary dimensions by strictly incoherent operations with certain probabilities. Finally, the coherence transformation of this type of mixed states can be generalized to the case of higher rank in a similar way, which is discussed at the end of this paper.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement of a three-level atom in λ configuration interacting with two quantized field modes by using logarithmic negativity. Then, we study the relationship of the atomic coherence and the entanglement between two fields which are initially prepared in vacuum or thermal states. We find that if the two fields are prepared in thermal states, the atomic coherence can induce the entanglement between two thermal fields. However, there is no coherence-induced entanglement between two vacuum fields.  相似文献

We study the skew information-based coherence of quantum states and derive explicit formulas for Werner states and isotropic states in a set of autotensors of mutually unbiased bases (MUBs). We also give surfaces of skew information-based coherence for Bell-diagonal states and a special class of X states in both computational basis and in MUBs. Moreover, we depict the surfaces of the skew information-based coherence for Bell-diagonal states under various types of local nondissipative quantum channels. The results show similar as well as different features compared with relative entropy of coherence and l1 norm of coherence.  相似文献

We use the generalized Wootters formula, the positive partial transpose(PPT) criterion and the matched entanglement witness, to detect entanglement of three-qubit GHZ and W superposition state and its decayed states. It shows that the results of the generalized Wootters formula in the part near the W state are tight. In the other parts, the PPT criterion is superior to the generalized Wootters formula. Furthermore, we investigate the relationship between entanglement and coherence.  相似文献
