Transfer reactions 56Fe(12C, xN) have been investigated. Angular distributions of particles following elastic scattering, one neutron and one proton transfer reaction channels leading to low lying states in respective residual nuclei have been measured. These are analysed using the coupled reaction channel (CRC) formalism. Starting with a double folded real potential, the elastic scattering angular distribution is calculated using the computer code FRESCO. Inclusion of couplings to first excited states in both the target and the projectile already tends to describe the experimental elastic scattering distribution. Additional coupling of one neutron transfer reaction to first five excited states in 55Fe and one proton transfer reaction to first three low lying states in 57Co improves fit to the elastic scattering angular distribution. Further refinement in fit is brought about by addition of a weak imaginary potential to the complex potential calculated by ERESCO to simulate the absorption effects due to those channels whose coupling is not included explicitly. Such a potential describes the experimental angular distributions for elastic, one neutron and one proton transfer channels correctly in shape and magnitude without any arbitrary normalisation.  相似文献

The 6He+12C elastic and inelastic scattering and the 6He+12C→α+14C reaction have been measured using a 18.0 MeV 6He beam. Experimental results for the elastic scattering are in fair agreement with optical model predictions, using the potentials found in the analysis of 6Li scattering on 12C at similar energies. In triple coincidences, the 6He+12C→10Be+2α reactions were clearly seen, with the 10Be nucleus left in ground and several excited states. The dominant mechanism of this reaction is sequential decay through cluster states of 14C.  相似文献

The variation of fusion cross-section (σJfus) with energy in the12C+12C collision is linked to the underlying resonance phenomenon through the behavior of reaction cross-section (σ) of which σfus is taken as a part. The calculation of σfus is done through an energy-dependent imaginary potential in the optical model potential (OMP). Through dispersion relation, such an imaginary potential gives rise to energy-dependent real potential which is incorporated in the OMP. In our calculation, a form of potential for the nuclear part which has a soft repulsive in-built core is introduced based on similar works done earlier. The calculated results of σfus are used to explain the oscillatory structure, astrophysical S-factor and the decreasing trend at higher energies of the experimental σfus data in the case of12C+12C system with remarkable success. The potential used for fusion calculation is tested for fitting elastic scattering data at some energies and is found good in forward angles. Further improvement of the fitting of these data is obtained by incorporating a coupling potential in the surface region. About twenty resonances are observed in our calculation in the specific partial waves and some of them are found close to the experimentally identified resonances in12C+12C reaction. Thus, we provide an integrated and comprehensive analysis of fusion, resonance and scattering data in the best studied case of12C+12C reaction within the framework of optical potential model.  相似文献

An attempt is made to study the existence of dynamical fluctuations of relativistic particles using the methods of modified multifractal moments, Gq, and scaled factorial moments, Fq, in terms of new scaled variable X(η) suggested by Bialas and Gazdzicki. For this purpose analyses of experimental and UrQMD data involving interactions of 28Si and 12C nuclei at with nuclear emulsion are used. The variation of lnGq and lnFq with lnM in pseudorapidity (η) phase space reveals power law behaviour. The values of slopes, τq and q determined from the analyses of Gq and Fq moments are discussed. The generalized fractal dimensions, Dq, determined from the above methods are found to decrease with the order of the moments, q, indicating multifractality in multiparticle production. It is also observed that the spectral function f(αq) for heavier projectile is much broader than for lighter beam due to larger number of participating nucleons present in heavier projectile.  相似文献

The cross-sections for formation of isomeric pair, 75Gem(σm) and 75Geg(σg), through 76Ge(n, 2n), 75As(n, p) and 78Se(n, α) reactions were measured at 13.73 MeV, 14.42 MeV and 14.77 MeV neutrons and also estimated using EMPIRE-II and TALYS codes over neutron energies from near threshold to 20 MeV. For each (n, 2n), (n, p) and (n, α) reaction, the cross-section initially increases with neutron energy, but starts decreasing as the neutron energy exceeds the respective threshold of (n, 3n), (n, pn) and (n, αn) reactions. The higher values of σm relative to σg reveal that the transitions of the excited 75Ge from higher energy levels to metastable state (7+/2) are favored as compared to unstable ground state (1/2). The present values of cross sections for formation of 75Gem,g through (n, 2n) and (n, α) reactions are lower, and that of (n, p) reaction are higher compared to most of the corresponding literature cross-sections.  相似文献

Gamma ray spectra in the energy range of 4–25 MeV were measured in the reaction 28Si + 124Sn at E(28Si) 150 MeV in coincidence with low energy γ-multiplicities. The spectra were analysed using a simulated Monte Carlo CASCADE code. The centroid energy and width of the giant dipole resonance were extracted for various multiplicity windows. The average angular momentum and temperature of the final states populated after the giant dipole photon emission range from 25 and 1.5 MeV to 56 and 1.3 MeV, respectively. The extracted widths are almost constant for the lower multiplicity windows and show an increase of 1.4 MeV at the highest window. The nuclei are expected to be near the liquid drop regime and the experimental results are not inconsistent with the liquid drop behaviour.  相似文献

Excitation functions of the reactions63Cu[(α, n), (α, 2n)+(α, pn)] and65Cu[(α, n), (α, 2n), (α, 3n), (α, 4n)+(α, p3n)] were investigated up to 50 MeV using stacked foil activation technique and Ge(Li) gamma ray spectroscopy method. Since natural copper used as the target has two odd-mass stable isotopes of abundance,63Cu(69.17%) and65Cu(30.83%), their activation in some cases, gives the same residual nucleus through different reaction channels but with very different threshold energies. In such cases, the individual reaction cross sections are separated with the ratio of theoretical cross sections. The experimental results were compared with the predictions of preequilibrium hybrid model of Blann. A general agreement was found in all reactions using initial exciton numbern 0=4(4p0h) and also preequilibrium fraction depends on the incident particle energy.  相似文献

Fusion, breakup and scattering for the 9Be + 144Sm system at near barrier energies are investigated by different approaches. We show that at energies above the barrier there is a small complete fusion suppression when compared with predictions from a double folding potential and with a similar tightly bound system. At sub-barrier energies there is no significant deviation from the predictions using coupled channel calculations that do not include the breakup channel. The energy dependence of the optical potential does not show the usual threshold anomaly found in tightly bound systems. From a simultaneous analysis of fusion and scattering data we estimate the distance where breakup starts to occur.  相似文献

The newly developed full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (LAPW) and local orbitals (lo) based on standard APW methods are briefly introduced, and the structure and magnetic properties of R(Fe, Si)12 compounds (R = Y, Nd) are calculated using the method. The distribution of Si at different sites is analyzed based on total energy of one crystal unit with structure having been optimized. The characters of magnetic moments, total density of states (TDOS) and partial density of states (PDOS) for different crystal sites Si occupies are obtained and analyzed. The results show that the total magnetic moments of RFe10Si2 (R = Y, Nd) are larger than those of RFe10 M 2 (M = Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Mo and W) and the hybridization mechanism is seen as follows. Si(8j) reduce the magnetic moments of Fe at three sites, however, Si(8f) mainly reduce the magnetic moments of Fe(8i) and Fe(8j) atoms. The Curie temperature is markedly enhanced by the introduction of Si atoms according to spin fluctuation of DOS at Fermi level.  相似文献

Reaction cross sections with various kinds of breakup channels for neutron-rich carbon isotopes 18-20C and for 9Be impinging on a liquid hydrogen target were investigated at 40 MeV/nucleon. The nuclides of interest were produced via projectile fragmentation from a 63 MeV/nucleon 40Ar beam and were separated in flight at the RIKEN projectile fragment separator (RIPS). The combination of the large-acceptance superconducting TOF spectrometer, TOMBEE (TOF Mass analyzer for exotic BEam Experiment), with a liquid hydrogen target, CRYPTA (CRYogenic ProTon and Alpha target system), enables simultaneous measurements of several reaction channels: the reaction cross sections (σR), individual elemental fragmentation cross sections (σΔZ), charge-changing cross sections (σcc), neutron-removal cross sections (σxn), and charge-pickup cross sections (σΔZ+1) for 19,20C; σΔZ, σxn, and σΔZ+1 for 18C; and σR for 9Be. The present σR of 9Be on proton, σR=397±23 mb, measured in the inverse kinematics, was consistent with the previous measurements using proton beams at different laboratories. The σR of 19C and 20C on proton were determined to be σR=754±22 mb and σR=791±34 mb, respectively. Taking into account the beam energy and target dependence of σR, the present σR are found to be considerably enhanced compared with those measured at around 1 GeV/nucleon. The σΔZ+1 appears to increase with the mass number of the projectiles, and it significantly contributes to σR in the present energy range. The finite-range optical-limit and few-body Glauber model analyses were performed for σR to study the nuclear matter density distributions and to derive the relative strength of the s-wave components of the valence neutrons in 19C and 20C. A neutron halo structure of 19C is confirmed with an s-wave dominance of the valence neutron when the effect of the charge-pickup reaction is taken into account. The large σn of 19C and σ−2n of 20C also support the decoupled structures of 18C +n and 18C+2n, respectively. The σcc of 19C and 20C agree with each other within their experimental uncertainties, which might indicate a similar proton density distribution in 19C and 20C. The σΔZ decreases monotonically without the even-odd effect as the number of removed protons increases.  相似文献

The increasing use of Carbon nuclei in cancer therapy centres is motivated by their potential advantages as a very precise high LET radiation. The knowledge of the fragmentation of Carbon nuclei when they interact with the human body is important to evaluate the spatial profile of their energy deposition in the tissues, hence the damage to the tissues neighbouring the tumour. We report here a study of the fragmentation with the nuclear emulsion experimental technique. We have designed, built and exposed to a Carbon nuclei beam a chamber made of Lexan plates alternated with nuclear emulsion films. Lexan plates acted as passive material simulating human body tissues while nuclear emulsion films were used as both tracking devices with micrometric accuracy and ionisation detectors. Such a detector allowed the detection of Carbon interactions produced along their path, the identification of the fragments produced and the measurement of their scattering angle. We have measured the Carbon ion survival probability and studied their interactions. We report on the secondary particle multiplicity and the electrical charge distribution. We give results of the scattering angle of final state fragments as well as the range for H and He. Finally we give the total and partial charge-changing cross-sections for Δz=1,2,3,4Δz=1,2,3,4 which are compared with previous results when available. The present work aims at providing data required as input to Monte Carlo simulations of Carbon ion interactions in the human body and ultimately of their therapeutic effectiveness.  相似文献

Angular distributions for the 163Dy(t,p) and 177Hf(t,p) reactions were measured using 17 MeV tritons from the McMaster University Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator. Reaction products were analyzed with a magnetic spectrograph and detected with photographic emulsions. Favored L=0 transitions confirmed assignments of the 5/2[523] band in 165Dy and 7/2[514] band in 179Hf. Additional L=0 transitions in each nuclide identified previously unknown 5/2 levels in 165Dy and 7/2 ones in 179Hf. Overall trends of L=0 strengths support the existence of subshell closures at neutron numbers 98 and 108. On the basis of a relatively strong L=2 transition, the Kπ=11/2 γ-vibration based on the 7/2[514] state is identified at 1689 keV in 179Hf, about 440 keV above its previously-assigned Kπ=3/2 partner.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to track the phenomenon of α-cluster transfer mechanism at low energies 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75 MeV/n, close to the Coulomb barrier energy for 12C(16O, 12C)16O and 16O(12C, 16O)12C nuclear systems. The measurements of the angular distribution show a significant increase in the differential cross section at large angles due to alpha-transfer mechanism. The optical model code SPI-GENOA could be used effectively for fitting the experimental data with the theoretical predictions nearly up to angle 90°, where the differential cross section decreases steadily with increasing the scattering angle. For the second hemisphere, at angles greater than 100°, there is a large increase in cross section due to the contribution of α-transfer mechanism, and the Distorted Wave Born Approximation (DWBA) method could be used effectively for fitting the experimental data with the theoretical predictions at this region using (DWUCK5) code.  相似文献

The elastic scattering and the 6He angular distributions were measured in 7Li + 7Li reaction at two energies, E lab = 20 and 25 MeV. FRDWBA calculations have been performed to explain the measured 6He data. The calculations were very sensitive to the choice of the optical model potentials in entrance and exit channels. The one-step proton transfer was found to be the dominant reaction mechanism in 6He production.   相似文献

Excited states of 63Cu were populated via the 52Cr+10O (65 MeV) reaction using the gamma detector array equipped with charged particle detector array for reaction channel separation. On the basis of γ-γ coincidence relations and angular distribution ratios, a level scheme was constructed up to E n=7 MeV and J π=23/2(+). The decay scheme deduced was interpreted in terms of shell model calculations, with a restricted basis of the f 5/2, p 3/2, p 1/2, g 9/2 orbitals outside a 56 28Ni core.  相似文献

Effects of such additives as Co, Zr, Nb or Ga on hydrogen absorption and desorption characteristics of Nd(Fe,Mo)12 alloys are investigated. It is found that Zr or Nb addition increases the disproportionation temperature of Nd(Fe,Mo)12 alloys, and Co or Ga addition decreases the recombined temperature of its disproportionated products. This shows that Zr or Nb addition retards the disproportionation, while Co or Ga addition is effective for improving the recombination, which is similar to the effects of the additives on the hydrogen absorption and desorption characteristics of Nd2Fe14B alloys. However, according to X-ray diffraction (XRD) investigations for the magnetic-oriented samples, the final hydrogenation disproportiontation desorption recombination (HDDR) NdFe10.5−XMXMo1.5 (M=Co, Zr, Nb or Ga) products are isotropic. The effects of additives on hydrogen absorption and desorption characteristics of Nd2Fe14B and Nd(Fe,Mo)12 alloys are very similar, but the magnetic anisotropy of the final two HDDR products are different. In order to investigate this, similarities and differences of the two alloy systems and their corresponding HDDR phenomena are further studied. The results show that the formation of anisotropic powders may be related to the disproportionated products and crystal growth direction of the Nd2Fe14B and Nd(Fe,Mo)12 system.  相似文献

The giant dipole resonance built on excited states was observed in very fissile nuclei in coincidence with evaporation residues. The reaction 48Ca + 176Yb populated evaporation residues of mass A=213–220 with a cross section of 200 μb at 259 MeV. The extracted giant dipole resonance parameters are in agreement with theoretical predictions for this mass region.  相似文献

Gamma-rays following nuclear capture of negative muons in enriched 48Ti, 76Se, 106Cd, as well as natural Se and Cd targets were measured. Time evolution of several gamma-lines allowed to deduce the total μ-capture rates in Ti, Se and Cd isotopes, which are compared to the Primakoff estimate. The data on the partial μ-capture rates will be used for more precise calculation of the 2β-NMEs of 48Ca, 76Se and 106Cd. Presented by V. 在KMT理论框架下,应用微观的动量空间一级光学势,包括了库仑修正,自旋关联,NN振幅反对称,离壳效应,核子反冲和结合能转换,Lorentz不变的角变换.在整个中能区域系统地计算了质子-12C弹性散射微分截面和自旋观测量,并与实验数据及Glauber理论框架下或已有的其他理论计算结果做了比较,其结果显示,在200—1000MeV,该理论与实验结论符合程度较好.  相似文献

Stacked foil activation technique and Ge(Li) gamma ray spectroscopy have been used for the measurement of excitation functions of197Au(α,xn) (x=1−3),197Au(α,2pn) and197Au(α,αn) reactions up to 50 MeV. The experimental cross-sections were compared with the predictions of pre-equilibrium hybrid model, as well as with the more recent index model. A general agreement was found in all reactions using initial exciton numbern 0=4(4p0h) except for197Au(α,n) reaction, where index model gives fairly good agreement withn 0=5(5p0h).  相似文献
