We consider the initial problem of quasi-linear relaxation of synchrotron instability in a spatially homogeneous system of relativistic electrons embedded in a cold plasma. We analyze evolution of the energy spectrum of electrons and the frequency spectrum of radiation at the limit of low initial radiation energy density. At this limit, the problem is reduced to the solution of a diffusion equation with a stationary diffusion coefficient for the electron distribution over momentum which does not depend on the initial radiation energy density.  研究了逆流相对论高能电子与强激光脉冲相互作用的同步辐射过程,当电子具有合适的初速度且传播方向与激光的传播方向相反时,电子在激光脉冲中心作圆周运动。由于电子的运动半径比传统同步辐射环中电子的运动半径小几个数量级,因此电子的辐射能量大大增加。研究发现此过程可以获得阿秒和泽秒X射线脉冲;同时发现随着入射电子初能量的增加和激光能量的增强,获得X射线脉冲脉宽越来越短,强度越来越大。这使得激光同步辐射可以成为一种强大的短波长短脉宽的辐射光源。  相似文献

A detailed analysis of the synchrotron radiation intensity and energy of runaway electrons is presented for the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak(EAST). In order to make the energy of the calculated runaway electrons more accurate, we take the Shafranov shift into account. The results of the analysis show that the synchrotron radiation intensity and energy of runaway electrons did not reach the maximum at the same time. The energy of the runaway electrons reached the maximum first, and then the synchrotron radiation intensity of the runaway electrons reached the maximum.We also analyze the runaway electrons density, and find that the density of runaway electrons continuously increased. For this reason, although the energy of the runaway electrons dropped but the synchrotron radiation intensity of the runaway electrons would continue rising for a while.  相似文献

The properties of synchrotron radiation from LEP are investigated. This radiation from LEP are investigated. This radiation is assumed to be in a parasitic mode without changing any of the operating parameters. At 86 GeV the radiation from the normal bending magnet has a critical energy of 0.4 MeV and a power of ~500 W/m, and is probably of limited interest. High photon energies (10–20 MeV) of high intensity can be obtained from normal and superconducting wiggler magnets. Undulators can give quasi-monochromatic radiation of high brightness with photon energies of up to 5 MeV. New magnet developments might increase this energy range. Quasi-monochromatic γ-rays of ~100 MeV can be created with soft Compton back scattering without disturbing the electron bean. This relies on future free electron lasers in the submillimetre range. The natural collimation, the polarization and the time structure make all these photon beams unique tools for research in nuclear physics. The synchrotron rediation can be used to produced photoneutrons with intensities of up to 1014 neutrons/s. It is foreseen that LEP will be equipped with superconducting cavities in later stage and that is energy will be increased to ~130 GeV. This will approximately double the photon energies obtained from wigglers and undulators.  相似文献

本文从偶极子辐射场的Heaviside-Feynman表达式出发, 用经典的电动力学方法推导了考虑内禀磁矩影响后的相对论电子辐射频谱分布的表达式, 并对做匀速圆周运动的极端相对论性电子的同步辐射, 计算了两个偏振方向上的考虑磁矩修正后的辐射谱. 计算结果表明对于特征频率为ωc的同步辐射, 如果ħωc≥10 keV, 内禀磁矩对辐射的修正是可观的. 通过同步辐射的内禀磁矩修正, 本文讨论了电子束极化度与辐射场偏振度的依赖关系, 并基于此关系提出一种测量电子束极化度的新方法. 关键词: 同步辐射 电子内禀磁矩 同步辐射偏振度 束流极化度  相似文献

The spectral-angular distribution is obtained for the polarization components of the radiation of an electron in a plane undulator with a large magnitude of an arbitray electromagnetic field in the apparatus. It is shown that the radiation spectrum consists of individual maxima whose width and separation depend on the number of periods of the field in the apparatus, while the position of the maxima along the frequency scale is determined by the energy of the electron and its acceleration on the section of the trajectory from which the radiation is generated. A calculation of relaxation time for (i) electron–electron scattering in a modulation-doped superlattice of type-I and (ii) electron–electron, hole–hole and electron–hole scattering processes in a compositional superlattice of type-II has been performed, using Fermi's golden rule. As compared to a two-dimensional electron gas system, both intralayer and interlayer interactions, between charge carriers in a superlattice, contribute to relaxation time. It is found that scattering processes at all possible value of momentum transfer contribute to relaxation time, for a given value of temperature and carrier density. We further find interlayer interactions in a superlattice make a significant contribution to relaxation time. Relaxation time is found to decrease on increasing temperature, carrier density and single particle energy, in a superlattice. The computed relaxation time for an electron (hole) in a superlattice enhances on increasing the width of layer consisting of electrons (holes). The electron–hole (hole–electron) scattering process in a type-II superlattice yields maximum contribution to the relaxation time when a hole layer lies exactly in between two consecutive electron layers.  相似文献

The theoretical analysis of experiments on pulsed laser irradiation of metallic films sputtered on insulating supports is usually based on semiphenomenological dynamical equations for the electron and phonon temperatures, an approach that ignores the nonuniformity and the nonthermal nature of the phonon distribution function. In this paper we discuss a microscopic model that describes the dynamics of the electron-phonon system in terms of kinetic equations for the electron and phonon distribution functions. Such a model provides a microscopic picture of the nonlinear energy relaxation of the electron-phonon system of a rapidly heated film. We find that in a relatively thick film the energy relaxation of electrons consists of three stages: the emission of nonequilibrium phonons by “hot” electrons, the thermalization of electrons and phonons due to phonon reabsorption, and finally the cooling of the thermalized electron-phonon system as a result of phonon exchange between film and substrate. In thin films, where there is no reabsorption of nonequilibrium phonons, the energy relaxation consists of only one stage, the first. The relaxation dynamics of an experimentally observable quantity, the phonon contribution to the electrical conductivity of the cooling film, is directly related to the dynamics of the electron temperature, which makes it possible to use the data of experiments on the relaxation of voltage across films to establish the electron-phonon and phonon-electron collision times and the average time of phonon escape from film to substrate. 应用同步辐射x射线小角散射法在原位对块体非晶合金Zr55Cu30Al 10Ni5在等温退火过程中的微结构变化进行研究.实验表明:在等温退火过程中电子 密度涨落反映了晶化之前的结构弛豫过程;在一定的退火温度下、随退火时间的增加,拓扑短程序弛豫与化学短程序弛豫之间存在一个电子密度均匀化的过程;导致这两种弛豫过程转变的退火时间与退火温度有关,温度越高,所需的退火时间越短. 关键词: 原位x射线小角散射 块体非晶合金 等温退火 结构弛豫  相似文献

Relatively large fluxes of trapped electrons with energy above several tens of MeV in the inner radiation belt, established according to low altitude satellite measurements, invoked the question of their production of synchrotron radiation in geomagnetic field. Based on experimental data on electrons, rough estimate of the spectral density of synchrotron radiation at the Equator is obtained in the region of maximum emissivity. Relatively low value of the radiation flux implies that only precise measurements at 1 GHz allowing to measure the directivity of emissions may be relevant.  相似文献

The characteristic features of the relaxation of the energy and momentum distribution functions of the electrons in a plasma produced by a low-voltage beam discharge in helium are investigated. It is established that, contrary to widely held opinion, the energy of an intense electron beam may relax due to the wave excitation. The critical currents corresponding to a jumplike transition from one relaxation mechanism to another are measured. The density of metastable helium atoms is determined from the comparative analysis of theoretical and experimental results on the structure of the energy spectrum of the electrons of an intense beam. An intense electron beam is found to become more isotropic in the course of its interaction with Langmuir waves in a collisionless plasma. The cross section for quasi-elastic collisions between the electrons and Langmuir plasmons is estimated. The wave nature of the beam-plasma mechanism for the relaxation of the anisotropic electron energy distribution function is demonstrated, and the mechanism itself is shown to come into play when the discharge current exceeds a certain critical level. The experimental threshold criterion for the energy relaxation of an intense monoenergetic beam is obtained for the first time. It is shown that the relaxation occurs in two stages: the isotropization stage, in which the beam energy decreases insignificantly, is followed by the stage in which the beam relaxes to a state with a plateau-like energy distribution function. The threshold criterion for the relaxation of the anisotropic electron energy distribution function is universal in character regardless of the cause of anisotropy.  相似文献

The spatial and spectral characteristics of laser-field synchrotron radiation (LSR) are investigated. The results show that LSR is emitted normal to the laser axis and emission in the X-ray wavelength can be obtained by increasing the intensity of the laser pulse and the initial energy of the electron. The unique feature offered by the laser-field synchrotron radiation (LSR) makes them a promising compact source of light at shorter wavelengths.  相似文献

使用一维辐射流体力学程序MULTI模拟了脉冲CO2激光烧蚀平面锡靶的过程,研究了脉冲宽度、峰值功率密度、靶材初始密度对锡等离子体电子密度、电子温度的时空分布的影响,并结合统计分析得到最有利于产生13.5 nm 极紫外光的激光脉冲宽度。模拟结果表明,脉冲宽度为100~200 ns的长脉冲激光产生的等离子体有利于实现极紫外输出的最佳条件,通过分析等离子体的电子密度、电子温度的分布对这一结论进行了解释。临界电子密度区域有效吸收了脉冲能量,而低密度的羽辉对激光与极紫外辐射的吸收很少。采用长脉冲激光,使得辐射极紫外等离子体持续时间更长,是提高极紫外辐射效率的有效手段。同时模拟还发现,靶材初始密度对等离子体参数的影响不大。  相似文献

 研究了逆流相对论电子与激光脉冲相互作用获得激光同步辐射的频率上移、微分散射截面等特性。发现逆流相对论电子与短脉冲激光相互作用,可以获得阿秒X射线辐射脉冲。短脉冲激光条件下得到的后向散射光的频率上移与长脉冲激光条件下得到的后向散射光的频率上移是完全一致的,同时发现随着入射电子初始能量的增加,散射光的准直性越来越好,后向散射光脉冲的脉宽越来越短。  相似文献

高能带电粒子与航天器介质材料相互作用引起的深层带电现象, 一直是威胁航天器安全运行的重要因素之一. 考虑入射电子在介质中的电荷沉积、能量沉积分布以及介质中的非线性暗电导和辐射诱导电导, 建立了介质深层充电的单极性电荷输运物理模型. 通过求解电荷连续性方程和泊松方程, 可以得出不同能量 (0.1–0.5 MeV) 电子辐射下, 低密度聚乙烯 (厚度为1 mm) 介质中的电荷输运特性. 计算结果表明, 不同能量的电子辐射下, 介质充电达到平衡时, 最大电场随入射能量的增加而减小; 同一能量辐射下, 最大电场随束流密度的增大而增加. 入射电子能量较低时 (≤ 0.3 MeV) , 最大电场随束流密度的变化趋势基本相同. 具体表现为: 当束流密度大于3× 10-9 A/m2时, 最大场强超过击穿阈值2×107 V/m, 发生静电放电 (ESD) 的可能性较大. 随着入射电子能量的增加, 发生静电放电 (ESD) 的临界束流密度增大, 在能量为0.4 MeV时, 临界束流密度为6×10-8 A/m2. 当能量大于等于0.5 MeV时, 在束流密度为10-9–10-6 A/m2的范围内, 均不会发生静电放电 (ESD) . 该物理模型对于深入研究深层充放电效应、评估航天器在空间环境下 深层带电程度及防护设计具有重要的意义. 关键词: 高能电子辐射 低密度聚乙烯(LDPE) 介质深层充电 电导特性  相似文献

激光尾波场电子加速的加速梯度相比于传统直线加速器高了3—4个量级,对于小型化粒子加速器与辐射源的研制具有重要的意义,成为当今国内外的研究热点.台式化辐射源应用需求的提高,特别是自由电子激光装置的快速发展,对电子束流品质提出了更高的要求,激光尾波场电子加速的束流品质和稳定性是目前实现新型辐射源的首要障碍.本文归纳整理了中国科学院上海光学精密机械研究所电子加速研究团队十年来在研制台式化激光尾波场电子加速器过程中采取的方案和取得的进展.例如率先提出了注入级和加速级分离的级联加速方案,通过实验获得了GeV量级的电子束能量;基于级联加速方式利用能量啁啾控制,实验获得世界最高品质的电子束流;通过优化激光系统稳定性和特殊的气体喷流结构,获得稳定的高品质电子束流输出等.这一系列实验结果有利于进一步推进激光尾波场电子加速器的应用.  相似文献

应用同步辐射小角x射线散射和差示扫描量热分析对块体非晶合金Zr5555Cu 3030Al1010Ni55结构弛豫进行了研究.实验结果表 明:经340℃、不同时间退火后的非晶内 部的电子密度涨落随退火时间的延长先增大而后减小;玻璃转变温度附近焓弛豫峰的表观激 活能则随退火时间的延长先减小而后增大.结果反映了随退火时间的延长,块体非晶合金内 部类液体区不断减少及类固体区不断增加的过程. 关键词: 小角x射线散射 块体非晶合金 结构弛豫  相似文献

The spectrum of the synchrotron radiation emitted from the University of Maryland mirror confined nonneutral plasma is measured during the decay of the pulsed magnetic field and used to obtain the energy distribution ?(γ) and electron density profile ne0(r). One result is that the electron density profile evolves from a relatively thin E-layer to a broad profile with density build-up on axis.  相似文献

基于全局模型,引入氧负离子解吸附过程,完善了重复频率高功率微波脉冲弛豫模型,理论研究了重复频率高功率微波脉冲大气击穿弛豫过程,数值模拟了不同附着频率、解吸附频率以及初始电子浓度条件下,弛豫过程电子浓度随时间的变化规律。结果表明:弛豫过程电子浓度变化分为快衰减和慢衰减两个阶段;发现氧负离子的引入明显延缓了弛豫过程后期电子的衰减;解吸附频率与附着频率对弛豫过程有着相反的影响,解吸附频率越高,慢衰减阶段的电子浓度越高,快衰减阶段电子浓度变化不明显;附着频率越高,快衰减阶段电子浓度变化越剧烈,慢衰减阶段的电子浓度越低;初始电子浓度越大,慢衰减阶段电子浓度变化越剧烈。  相似文献
