Summary New oscillation criteria are established for the first order functional differential equation (*) y'(t)+p(t)y(g(t))=0and its nonlinear analogue. The results are presented so that a remarkable duality existing between the case where (*) is retarded (g(t)t) is apparent. Possible extension of the results for (*) to equations with several deviating arguments is attempted. The synchronization problem for both continuous and discrete‐time complex dynamical networks with time‐varying delays is investigated. Using optimal partitioning method, time‐varying delays are partitioned into l subintervals and generalized results are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). New delay‐dependent synchronization criteria in terms of LMIs are derived by constructing appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, reciprocally convex combination technique and some inequality techniques. Summary Interpolating splines which are restricted in their movement by the presence of obstacles are investigated. For simplicity we mainly treat cubic splines which are required to be non-negative. The extension to splines of higher order and to certain other forms of obstacles is straightforward. Methods of optimization and of optimal control are used to obtain necessary optimality criteria. These criteria are applied to derive an algorithm to compute splines which are restricted to constant lower or upper bounds. This paper deals with the robust stability analysis for uncertain systems with time-varying delay. New delay-dependent robust stability criteria of uncertain time-delay systems are proposed by exploiting appropriate Lyapunov functional candidate. These developed results have advantages over some previous ones in that they have fewer matrix variables yet less conservatism, due to the introduction of a method to estimate the upper bound of the derivative of Lyapunov functional candidate without ignoring the additional useful terms. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and the advantage of the proposed method. 相似文献

In this paper a multi-criteria decision aiding model is developed through the use of the Choquet integral. The proposed model is an extension of the TODIM method, which is based on nonlinear Cumulative Prospect Theory. The paper starts by reviewing the first steps of behavioral decision theory. A presentation of the TODIM method follows. The basic concepts of the Choquet integral as related to multi-criteria decision aiding are reviewed. It is also shown how the measures of dominance of the TODIM method can be rewritten through the application of the Choquet integral. From the ordering of decision criteria the fuzzy measures of criteria interactions are computed, which leads to the ranking of alternatives. A case study on the forecasting of property values for rent in a Brazilian city illustrates the proposed model. Results obtained from the use of the Choquet integral are then compared against a previously made usage of the TODIM method. It is concluded that significant advantages exist derived from the use of the Choquet integral. The paper closes with recommendations for future research. 相似文献

In this paper, a superiority and inferiority ranking (SIR) method is proposed. This new method uses two types of information, the superiority and the inferiority information, to derive two types of flows, the superiority flow and the inferiority flow, by which the set of alternatives are ranked partially or completely. Relationships between the SIR method and some of the classical multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) methods (such as SAW, TOPSIS and PROMETHEE) are explored. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) and stochastic multicriteria acceptability analysis (SMAA-2) are methods for evaluating alternatives based on multiple criteria. While DEA is mainly an ex-post tool used for classifying alternatives into efficient and inefficient ones, SMAA-2 is an ex-ante tool for supporting multiple criteria decision-making. Both methods use a kind of value function where the importance of criteria is modeled using weights. Unlike many other methods, neither DEA nor SMAA-2 requires decision-makers’ weights as input. Instead, these so-called non-parametric methods explore the weight space in order to identify weights favorable for each alternative. This paper introduces the SMAA-D method, which is a combination of DEA and SMAA-2. SMAA-D can be characterized as an extension of DEA to handle uncertain or imprecise data to provide stochastic efficiency measures. Alternatively, the combined method can be seen as a variant of SMAA-2 with a DEA-type value function. 相似文献

A new approach to the design of fuzzy expert systems is proposed. The representation of knowledge and the formation of statements by fuzzy logic tools are discussed in detail. A model of fuzzy inference is described. Primary attention is given to automatic extraction of knowledge (fuzzy inference rules) from a set of precedents. Various performance criteria for rules are introduced, and an algorithm for their generation (the method of effective restrictions) is proposed. An extension of the type of admissible rules by introducing a fuzzy disjunction operation is described. The possibility of optimizing the rules found is explored. We discuss a method, which was popularized by E. J. Allen and that is frequently used in applications to construct SDE models. The derivation procedure is based on information about the elementary processes involved in the dynamics and their corresponding probabilities. We formulate criteria for the viability of the resulting models. In particular, explicit necessary and sufficient conditions are deduced for the non-negativity and/or boundedness of solutions. Moreover, we show that the class of deterministic models for which the construction leads to an admissible SDE extension is strongly limited. The classification problem statement of multicriteria decision analysis is to model the classification of the alternatives/actions according to the decision maker's preferences. These models are based on outranking relations, utility functions or (linear) discriminant functions. Model parameters can be given explicitly or learnt from a preclassified set of alternatives/actions.In this paper we propose a novel approach, the Continuous Decision (CD) method, to learn parameters of a discriminant function, and we also introduce its extension, the Continuous Decision Tree (CDT) method, which describes the classification more accurately.The proposed methods are results of integration of Machine Learning methods in Decision Analysis. From a Machine Learning point of view, the CDT method can be considered as an extension of the C4.5 decision tree building algorithm that handles only numeric criteria but applies more complex tests in the inner nodes of the tree. For the sake of easier interpretation, the decision trees are transformed to rules. 相似文献
