The experiments in which a nonwetting liquid does not flow from a disordered nanoporous medium are described. The outflow is shown to depend on the degree of filling of the porous medium and its temperature in a critical manner. A physical mechanism is proposed where the transition of a system of liquid nanoclusters in a confinement into a metastable state in narrow filling and temperature ranges results from the appearance of a potential barrier due to the fluctuations of the collective “multiparticle” interaction of liquid nanoclusters in neighboring pores of different sizes at the shell of a percolation cluster of filled pores. The energy of a metastable state forms a potential relief with numerous maxima and minima in the space of a porous medium. The dispersed liquid volume in a metastable state is calculated with an analytical percolation theory for a ground state with an infinite percolation cluster. The outflow time distribution function of pores is calculated, and a power law is obtained for the decrease in nonwetting liquid volume retained in a porous medium with increasing time. The relaxation of the system under study is a multistage process accompanied by discontinuous equilibrium and overcoming of numerous local maxima of a potential relief. The formation of the metastable state of retained nonwetting liquid results from the nonergodicity properties of a disordered porous medium. The proposed model can describe the detected dependences of dispersed liquid volume on the degree of filling and temperature.  相似文献

The operation of an acoustic transducer in a temperature-stratified medium is investigated. The formation of a response of piezoceramic transducers of pressure fluctuations under the action of temperature fluctuations in a working medium on the sensor element is considered. The attenuation of the temperature signal of a pressure transducer in a turbulent boundary layer is calculated numerically. The effect of distortions of the spectral levels of pressure fluctuations detected by a sound transducer in the field of temperature inhomogeneities is investigated for the example of measurements of turbulent pressure fluctuations in a boundary layer during vertical ascent of the device to the surface from a specified depth in a deep sea.  相似文献

The formation of a misorientation band in the elastic field of a disclination dipole is considered and simulated using a kinetic approach. The dipole is artificially located on a grain boundary or induced by plastic deformation on a double ledge in a grain boundary in a bicrystal. The simulation results agree well with the results obtained earlier in a continuum approximation. The dislocation structure of the misorientation band that forms during accommodation slip is shown to be a dynamic steady-state structure, and its appearance has a kinetic nature.  相似文献

In this paper the dynamic response of a double-string system traversed by a constant or a harmonically oscillating moving force is considered. The force is moving with a constant velocity on the top string. The strings are identical, parallel, one upon the other and continuously coupled by a linear Winkler elastic element. The classical solution of the response of a double-string system subjected to a force moving with a constant velocity has a form of an infinite series. The main goal of this paper is to show that in the considered case a part of the solution can be presented in a closed, analytical form instead of an infinite series. The presented method of finding the solution in a closed, analytical form is based on the observation that the solution of the system of partial differential equations in the form of an infinite series is also a solution of an appropriate system of ordinary differential equations.  相似文献

The relativistic quantum theory of cyclotron resonance in a medium with arbitrary dispersive properties is presented. The quantum equation of motion for a charged particle in the field of a plane electromagnetic wave and in the uniform magnetic field in a medium is solved in the eikonal approximation. The probabilities of induced multiphoton transitions between the Landau levels in a strong laser field are calculated.  相似文献

The energy supplied to the Fröhlich vibration system in a living cell may condense in certain normal modes provided the coupling of the vibration system with a heat bath is nonlinear. The strong coupling of a coherent vibration system with a heat bath causes reduced energy condensation; high frequency modes are not excited and the energy condensed in the lowest frequency mode is smaller than the energy condensed in a system with weak coupling. The vibrations are polar and generate an electromagnetic field. The electromagnetic field mediates a long range interaction between the Fröhlich vibration systems; the interaction depends on the intensity of the generated electromagnetic field, and, therefore, on the energy condensed in the vibration system. The systems with strong coupling with a heat bath have weak interaction forces, which may be attractive as well as repulsive. The effect of coupling with a heat bath on interaction between the Fröhlich systems is a new contribution of this paper. The coherent vibration systems are assumed to be excited in protein molecules in cellular membranes. Protein phosphorylation may cause the strong Coulomb coupling of vibration systems with a heat bath and may have a fundamental effect on energy condensation.The work was supported, in part, by grant COST 244.  相似文献

The radiation impedance of a rectangular piston positioned at the wall of a rectangular duct is theoretically investigated. The dependence of the attached length of the piston on the width of the duct is determined. The dependence shows that, unlike the radiation resistance, the attached length decreases with a decrease in duct width. The results of the study are compared with the data obtained for the attached length of a square orifice in a rectangular baffle in a duct.  相似文献

The rotational dynamics of a molecular ensemble in the presence of a strong laser field is investigated in the framework of the density-matrix approach. The results obtained are compared with the rotation of molecules in a classical ensemble. The thermal molecular motion in the ensemble is taken into account in a model of random collisions, and various values of the relaxation time are considered. The effect of the relaxation process on molecular alignment is analyzed for the laser-pulse action and in the afterpulse regime. The similarity between quantum and classical rotational dynamics of a molecular ensemble is examined.  相似文献

The possibilities of using the decomposition of natural waveguide modes in a shallow-water sea in case there is a sound velocity gradient into sinusoidal modes of an ideal waveguide is grounded. The applicability range of such decomposition is shown. Dispersion in signals of the modes presented in such a way is determined by mathematical reversal without a test source. The structure of discrete modes in a natural waveguide is determined without utilizing the bottom parameters and sound velocity’s distribution over the waveguide depth. The coefficient of the mode signal’s correlation with the measured parameters of the mode signal and a real signal, introduced into it, is shown to be 0.973. The signals from a point emitter positioned at the depth of 50 m in the frequency range of 90–280 Hz in a shallow-water sea (the Barents Sea, a 120 m depth, a 7 km distance), received by a vertical antenna array comprising 32 receivers spaced equidistantly with a 3-m step are used in the experiment. A real signal has been successfully reversed using a mathematical model.  相似文献

The fluctuating field of a heated jet excited by a sound pulse is simulated numerically. The fluctuations in both the flow field and the far field are studied. The flow field results depend crucially on the stability properties of the heated jet. The altered stability properties due to the heating cause a reduction in the overall fluctuations and a shift of the instability waves into lower frequencies. These changes cause a similar downward shift in the far field spectrum and a reduction in the total far field noise. The results provide a partial explanation in terms of stability theory of experimentally observed properties of the noise of heated jets.  相似文献

The possibility of existance of a super-crystalline (Wigner) phase in a semimetal or impurity semiconductor film placed in a high magnetic field, is discussed and a comparison is made with a crystal in a three-dimensional specimen.

Such a phase exists in a succession of magnetic field or particle density intervals. The vibrational spectrum depends on magnetic field, while the bind energy is only density-dependent. The mean-square displacement x2 of the particles in the lattice sites are also independent on the magnetic field over a wide temperature range.  相似文献

The spectral width of a 5-kHz Ti:sapphire laser system was broadened by spectral control in a regenerative amplifier consisting of broadband chirped mirrors. The dispersion over the wide spectral range was compensated by a deformable mirror along with a genetic algorithm, resulting in a pulse width of 15 fs. The pulse width is the shortest, to our knowledge, in chirped pulse amplification systems with a regenerative amplifier. The phase distortion of broadband frequency doubling in addition to the Ti:sapphire laser was compensated by using the self-diffraction intensity in sapphire as the feedback signal into the genetic algorithm, resulting in a pulse width of 7.5 fs. The average power of the second harmonic was 1 W with a fundamental input of 7 W.  相似文献

The failure of a two-dimensional packing of elastic grains is analyzed using a numerical model. The packing fails through formation of shear bands or faults. During failure there is a separation of the system into two grain-packing states. In a shear band, local "rotating bearings" are spontaneously formed. The bearing state is favored in a shear band because it has a low stiffness against shearing. The "seismic activity" distribution in the packing has the same characteristics as that of the earthquake distribution in tectonic faults. The directions of the principal stresses in a bearing are reminiscent of those found at the San Andreas Fault.  相似文献

The problem of a spherically symmetric plasmoid placed in a linearly polarized uniform quasistatic electromagnetic field is considered. The electric field in the vicinity of a plasmoid with a Gaussian electron density distribution is calculated. The results of calculations are compared with the known solution for a spherical plasmoid with a uniform density. The possibility of the transformation of an initial plasmoid that arises in an electrodeless microwave gas discharge into a microwave streamer is discussed.  相似文献

The dynamics of growth and interaction of vapor bubbles in droplets of pure water and LiBr water solution on a horizontal wall were investigated in a wide superheating range. The growth rates of bubbles were determined both in a distillate droplet and in a salt solution droplet. The bubble growth rate in a pure water droplet at the final stage is somewhat lower than in pool boiling. The bubble growth rate in a salt solution is substantially lower than for pure water. Due to the bubble density maldistribution, the vapor flow density is appreciably higher at the droplet edges than on the droplet axis. Collective behavior of the bubbles possesses both stochastic character and elements of self-organization. The thermal measurements were carried out by means of high-speed video and blowup thermal imager.  相似文献

The problem of electromagnetic reflection at an arbitrary angle of incidence in a system consisting of an isotropic ambient, a magnetic film and a thick magnetic substrate is studied. The magnetizations in both the film and substrate are assumed normal to the planar interfaces. The results are expressed in terms of the reflection matrix which is directly connected to the experimentally observed quantities: ellipsometric ratio and magneto-optical rotation and ellipticity. The general condition for guided wave propagation in the system is obtained. The theory is applied to the special cases of (a) normal incidence, (b) oblique incidence on a uniaxial film on a uniaxial substrate, both optical axes being normal to the interfaces, and (c) oblique incidence on a system consisting of an isotropic ambient, a magnetic film and a thick magnetic substrate assuming the diagonal elements of the permittivity tensor in a particular magnetic medium (film or substrate) equal to each other and the corresponding off-diagonal elements much smaller with respect to them. The possible practical applications of the present analysis are in the optimum design of film-substrate structures in magneto-optic devices and in the optical studies of the surface effects in magnetic materials.  相似文献

The present study proposes a transient model of the acoustic radiation of axisymmetric structures. The pressure field is approximated by the Rayleigh integral corresponding to a monopole source distribution over the non-planar vibrating surface. The displacement field is expanded on the linear modes of the structure and a change of variables in the Rayleigh integral is then proposed in the case of a monotonic profile function to compute the Spatial Impulse Response associated to each mode of vibration efficiently. The results are compared to the formulation obtained in the case of planar and spherical sources. The method of calculation is then derived in the case of a typical loudspeaker profile (association of a truncated cone with a spherical cap). Finally, the present approach is used to estimate the nonlinear radiation pattern of a prototype loudspeaker and predictions are compared to measurements in anechoic room.  相似文献

The region of equilibrium states is studied where the quantum nature of the electron component and a strong nonideality of a plasma play a key role. The problem of negative signs in the calculation of equilibrium averages a system of indistinguishable quantum particles with a spin is solved in the macroscopic limit. It is demonstrated that the calculation can be conducted up to a numerical result. The complete set of symmetrized basis wave functions is constructed based on the Young symmetry operators. The combinatorial weight coefficients of the states corresponding to different graphs of connected Feynman paths in multiparticle systems are calculated by the method of random walk over permutation classes. The kinetic energy is calculated using a viral estimator at a finite pressure in a statistical ensemble with flexible boundaries. Based on the methods developed in the paper, the computer simulation is performed for a dense helium plasma in the temperature range from 30000 to 40000 K. The equation of state, internal energy, ionization degree, and structural characteristic of the plasma are calculated in terms of spatial correlation functions. The parameters of a pseudopotential plasma model are estimated.  相似文献

An effect of the nonlinear compression of ultrashort microwave pulses has been observed in the process of the amplification of quasistationary electron beams. The Cherenkov mechanism of the interaction of a rectangular electron beam with a decelerated wave in a waveguide partially filled with an insulator is used. The experiment has been conducted on a setup consisting of two synchronized RADAN high-current accelerators. The first accelerator supplied a generator of 37-GHz superradiance pulses with a duration of about 300 ps. The second accelerator with a beam current of up to 1.2 kA and an electron energy of about 300 keV was used in an amplifying section. The theoretical analysis shows that the amplification of the electromagnetic pulses (at least by a factor of 4 in the power) is accompanied by a strong decrease in their duration (down to 100 ps).  相似文献

The density of states of a two-dimensional electron in a strong magnetic field moving in a periodic and a random potential is calculated.
