Hydrophilic polymeric films based on blends of poly(acrylic acid) and poly(vinyl methyl ether) (PVME) were prepared by casting technique and were cross-linked by gamma-radiation. The films are soft and elastic in a dry state and form hydrogels upon immersion in water. Effect of absorbed dose on the gel fraction as well as on the swelling of the films in aqueous solutions of different pH is studied. It was found that addition of lower molecular weight PVME decreases the gelation dose, which is likely related to a decrease in glass transition temperature of the blends. In acidic media the films have low swelling degree because of suppression of carboxylic groups ionisation and formation of additional physical cross-links via interpolymer hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

A novel method combining matrix solid phase dispersion (MSPD) with Soxhlet simultaneous extraction clean-up (SSEC) was developed. Being a single-step extraction and clean-up procedure, it could be used instead of multistep solvent extraction and Florisol column clean-up. It not only reduces sample contamination during the procedure, but it also decreases the amount of organic solvent needed. The retention times of standards were used to qualitatively assess the method, and the external standard method was used to quantitatively assess it. Residues of organochlorine pesticides (OCP) in tobaccos were determined by gas chromatography–electron capture detection (GC–ECD), and their identities were confirmed by the standard addition method (SAM). The performance of the method was evaluated and validated: the detection limit was 0.01–0.02 μg g−1, relative standard deviations were 5–26%, and recoveries were 72–99% at fortification levels of 0.10, 1.00 and 10.0 μg g−1. The analytical characteristics of MSPD–SSEC compared very favorably with the results from the classical multistep solvent extraction and Florisol column clean-up method.  相似文献

A novel liquid–liquid–solid microextraction (LLSME) technique based on porous membrane-protected molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)-coated silica fiber has been developed. In this technique, a MIP-coated silica fiber was protected with a length of porous polypropylene hollow fiber membrane which was filled with water-immiscible organic phase. Subsequently the whole device was immersed into aqueous sample for extraction. The LLSME technique was a three-phase microextraction approach. The target analytes were firstly extracted from the aqueous sample through a few microliters of organic phase residing in the pores and lumen of the membrane, and were then finally extracted onto the MIP fiber. A terbutylazine MIP-coated silica fiber was adopted as an example to demonstrate the feasibility of the novel LLSME method. The extraction parameters such as the organic solvent, extraction and desorption time were investigated. Comparison of the LLSME technique was made with molecularly imprinted polymer based solid-phase microextraction (MIP-SPME) and hollow fiber membrane-based liquid-phase microextraction (HF-LPME), respectively. The LLSME, integrating the advantages of high selectivity of MIP-SPME and enrichment and sample cleanup capability of the HF-LPME into a single device, is a promising sample preparation method for complex samples. Moreover, the new technique overcomes the problem of disturbance from water when the MIP-SPME fiber was exposed directly to aqueous samples. Applications to analysis of triazine herbicides in sludge water, watermelon, milk and urine samples were evaluated to access the real sample application of the LLSME method by coupling with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Low limits of detection (0.006–0.02 μg L−1), satisfactory recoveries and good repeatability for real sample (RSD 1.2–9.6%, n = 5) were obtained. The method was demonstrated to be a fast, selective and sensitive pretreatment method for trace analysis of triazines in complex aqueous samples.  相似文献

In this study, for the first time, a deep eutectic solvent-based microwave-assisted extraction was combined with ionic liquid–based temperature controlled liquid phase microextraction for the extraction of several aflatoxins from cheese samples. Briefly, the analytes are extracted from cheese sample (3 g) into a mixture of 1.5 mL choline chloride:ethylene glycol deep eutectic solvent and 3.5 mL deionized water by exposing to microwave irradiations for 60 s at 180 W. The liquid phase was taken and mixed with 55 μL 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate. By cooling the solution in the refrigerator centrifuge, a turbid state was obtained and the analytes were extracted into the ionic liquid droplets. The analytes were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography equipped with fluorescence detector. Low limits of detection (9–23 ng kg–1) and quantification (30–77 ng kg–1), high extraction recovery (66%–83%), acceptable enrichment factor (40–50), and good precision (relative standard deviations ≤ 5.2%) were obtained using the offered approach. These results reveal the high extraction capability of the method for determination of aflatoxins in the cheese samples. In this method, there was no need for organic solvents and it can be considered as green extraction method.  相似文献

For the first time, an electromembrane extraction combined with a HPLC procedure using diode array and fluorescence detection has been developed for the determination of seven widely used fluoroquinolones (FQs): marbofloxacin, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, danofloxacin, enrofloxacin, gatifloxacin and grepafloxacin. The drugs were extracted from acid aqueous sample solutions (pH 5), through a supported liquid membrane consisting of 1-octanol impregnated in the walls of a S6/2 Accurel® polypropylene hollow fiber, to an acid (pH 2) aqueous acceptor solution inside the lumen of the hollow fiber. The main operational parameters were optimized, and extractions were carried out in 15 min using a potential of 50 V. Enrichment factors of 40–85 have been obtained using only 15 min of extraction time versus 330 min used in a previously proposed hollow-fiber liquid-phase microextraction procedure. The procedure allows low detection and quantitation limits of 0.005–0.07 and 0.007–0.15 μg?L?1, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to the FQs analysis in urban wastewaters.

A novel method was developed for the sensitive determination of nickel in environmental water samples by using TiO2 nanotubes, a new nanomaterial, as solid phase extraction absorbent. In general, TiO2 nanomaterials were often used for catalytic degradation of pollutants in environmental field, and only a very few application in environmental analytic chemistry. In present work, TiO2 nanotubes was firstly used for the enrichment of nickel and the factors would influence the preconcentration performance were optimized. Under the optimal conditions, TiO2 nanotubes exhibited its good enrichment capacity for nickel and the detection limit of the proposed method was 1 ng· mL^-1. The proposed method was validated with real water samples, and excellent results were obtained with the spiked recoveries in the range of 94.4-99.2%, respectively.  相似文献

Immobilization of β-cyclodextrin on Dowex resin as an insoluble polymeric matrix by covalent bond presents a new solid-phase medium for preconcentration of Pb (II) at trace level in environmental samples prior to its flame atomic absorption spectrometric determination. The method is based on the sorption of lead after passing on modified Dowex sorbent in a column. The effect of several parameters such as pH, flow rate of sample, eluent kind and volume was investigated. The sorption capacity of the matrix has been found to be 0.4996?mg?g?1 of adsorbent with the preconcentration factor of 250 for Pb (II). Nitric acid (3 M) as an eluent was sufficient to obtain quantitative recovery (>95%) for Pb (II). The optimum flow rate was 10?ml?min ?1. The calibration curve was linear in the range of (3–250?ng?mL?1) with a correlation coefficient of 0.9995. The limit of detection (LOD) based on three times the standard deviation of the blank was 1.37?ng?mL?1. The relative standard deviation (RSD) for determination of 10?ng?mL?1 and 100?ngmL?1 of Pb (II) was 3.00 % and 0.58 % (n?=?10), respectively. The method was successfully applied to determination of lead in some environmental samples such as tap water, river water, soil and rice.  相似文献

A simple and fast microextraction procedure based on supramolecular solvent extraction of malachite green from water samples has been established in the presented work. The effective analytical parameters including pH, solvent volume, sample volume etc. on the quantitative recoveries of the malachite green were optimised. Matrix effects were also investigated. The preconcentration factor was found as 50. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were 16.3 and 54.5 µg L?1, respectively. The relative standard deviation percentage was below 7%. The presented procedure was applied to the determination of malachite green content of natural water samples from fish farm and tap water etc.  相似文献

Chlorophenoxy acid herbicides are intensively applied to get rid of unwanted plants because of their low cost and selectivity. Due to their toxicity, which depends on their chemical form, the European Community has established legal directives to restrict their use and to control their maximum residue levels in several matrices. Determination of chlorophenoxy acids—2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), 4-chloro-2-methylphenoxyacetic acid (MCPA), 2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)propanoic acid (2,4-DP), 2-(4-chloro-2-methylphenoxy)propanoic acid (MCPP), 4-(4-chloro-2-methylphenoxy)butanoic acid (MCPB) and 2-(2,4,5-trichlorophenoxy)propanoic acid (2,4,5-TP) in spiked human urine samples has been carried out by capillary LC, after solid-phase extraction on a column packed with silica C18 restricted-access material. Chromatographic analysis was performed in gradient-elution mode at 25 °C, with injection of 20 μL low-organic-solvent composition herbicide solutions for focusing purposes on the head of the capillary column, and diode array detection at 232 nm. Urine samples collected during 24 h from healthy and unexposed volunteers were spiked in the concentration range 25–150 μg L−1; recoveries obtained were between 66 and 100% (n = 6 for each spiked level) and RSDs (relative standard deviations) were between 1 and 5%. Detection limits in the urine samples from volunteers were between 3.5 and 6.0 μg L−1. The developed methodology has allowed the clean-up and preconcentration of low volumes of untreated human urine without previous treatment, showing the effectiveness of the employed SPE sorbent for extracting the target analytes and ultimately resulting in the reduction of the sample-preparation time.  相似文献

Three primary nerve agent degradation products (ethyl-, isopropyl- and pinacolyl methylphosphonic acid) have been determined in water samples using on-line solid phase extraction-liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (SPE-LC–MS) with electrospray ionisation. Porous graphitic carbon was employed for analyte enrichment followed by hydrophilic interaction chromatography. Diethylphosphate was applied as internal standard for quantitative determination of the alkyl methylphosphonic acids (AMPAs). By treating the samples with strong cation-exhange columns on Ba, Ag and H form, the major inorganic anions in water were removed by precipitation prior to the SPE-LC–MS determination. The AMPAs could be determined in tap water with limits of detection of 0.01–0.07 μg L−1 with the [M−H] ions extracted at an accuracy of ±5 mDa. The within and between assay precisions at analyte concentrations of 5 μg L−1 were 2–3%, and 5–9% relative standard deviation, respectively. The developed method was employed for determination of the AMPAs in three natural waters and a simulated waste water sample, spiked at 5 μg L−1. Recoveries of ethyl-, isopropyl- and pinacolyl methylphosphonic acid were 80–91%, 92–103% and 99–106%, respectively, proving the applicability of the technique for natural waters of various origins.  相似文献

We are introducing a method for the determination of some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in aqueous saffron sample by direct immersion solid phase microextraction (SPME) and gas chromatography. A sol–gel technique is used for the preparation of the SPME fibers. Three kinds of sol–gel coatings on the fibers were tested and compared. They are composed of poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS), poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), and a poly(ethylene glycol) modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (PEG/CNTs). The effects of fiber coating, desorption time, desorption temperature, extraction time, stirring speed and salting effect were optimized. Under the optimal conditions, the detection limits (at S/N?=?3) are 7–50, 5–50, and 1–10?pg?mL–1, respectively, for SPME fibers made from PDMS, PEG and PEG/CNTs. The relative standard deviations for one type of fiber are from 2.1% to 9.6% for all fibers (at n?=?5), and in the range from 1.9% to 9.8% from batch to batch (for n?=?3).

SPME based on sol–gel technology was proposed for determination of in extraction of naphthalene, fluorene, anthracene and phenanthrene from saffron samples extractants. Three different SPME fibers, i.e. PDMS, PEG and PEG/CNT, based on sol–gel were made. A comparative study of the coating fibers was done. This method has wide dynamic range and high sensitivity.  相似文献

A reliable multiclass method has been developed and validated for the determination of eight antibiotics from distinct classes (sulfonamides, macrolides, fluoroquinolones, tetracyclines, cephalosporins and dihydrofolate reductase inhibitors) in wastewater – influent and effluent – and surface water from Porto Alegre, Brazil. The pre-concentration and clean-up was conducted with a simple and fast protocol using solid-phase extraction allowing a 100-fold concentration factor. The proposed method was validated by using spiked blank wastewater samples in terms of linearity, repeatability, reproducibility, recovery, matrix effects and limits of detection and quantification. Recovery was obtained in the range of 66–149%. Method limit of quantification ranged between 1.6 and 61.7 ng L?1. Samples (n = 16) were taken from January to August 2011 in one wastewater treatment plant, which uses conventional biological treatment. Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim show higher concentration, ranging from >10 to <6500 ng L?1, whereas erythromycin presented the lower amount. Differences between influent and effluent profiles were discussed. Surface water samples (n = 8) were collected in Arroio Diluvio, in four sampling points, in February 2012. From the eight antibiotics analysed, five were detected: sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim, azythromicyn, ciprofloxacin and norfloxacin, in a concentration range of 376–572 ng L?1, 27–94 ng L?1, 24–40 ng L?1, 16–66ng L?1 and 30–54 ng L?1, respectively.  相似文献

An in-line matrix cleanup method was used for the simultaneous extraction of 15 sulfonamides and two metabolites from manure samples. The ultrasound/microwave-assisted extraction (UMAE) combined with solid–liquid–solid dispersive extraction (SLSDE) procedure provides a simple sample preparation approach for the processing of manure samples, in which the extraction and cleanup are integrated into one step. Ultrasonic irradiation power, extraction temperature, extraction time, and extraction solvent, which could influence the UMAE efficiency, were investigated. C18 was used as the adsorbent to reduce the effects of interfering components during the extraction procedure. The extracts were concentrated, and the analytes were analyzed by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) without any further cleanup. The isotopically labeled compounds sulfamethoxazole-d 4, sulfamethazine-d 4, sulfamonomethoxine-d 4, and sulfadimethoxine-d 6 were selected as internal standards to minimize the matrix effect in this method. The recoveries of the antibiotics tested ranged from 71 to 118 % at the three spiking levels examined (20, 200, and 500 μg?·?kg-1). The limits of detections were 1.2–3.6 μg?·?kg-1 and the limits of quantification were 4.0–12.3 μg?·?kg-1 for the sulfonamides and their metabolites. The applicability of the method was demonstrated by analyzing 30 commercial manure samples. The results indicated that UMAE–SLSDE combined with LC–MS/MS is a simple, rapid, and environmentally friendly method for the analysis of sulfonamides and their metabolites in manure, and it could provide the basis for a risk assessment of the antibiotics in agricultural environments.  相似文献

Levetiracetam is one of the new generation anti–epileptic agents (also known as anticonvulsants or antiseizure drugs). Following its approval for marketing in 2000, levetiracetam has been widely used in the treatment of epilepsy due to its broad spectrum effects. One of the advantages of this antiseizure drug is its rapid and complete absorption after oral administration. It has also minimal drug–drug and food interactions, and shows more than 95% bioavailability. The determination of levetiracetam in various samples is carried out using several analytical methods including HPLC–based methods. HPLC–based methods are used for different pharmaceutical analyses and play an important role in drug monitoring during patient follow–ups. This review provides a summary of the HPLC–based methods used in the determination and quantification of levetiracetam in biological fluids and pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

A simple, efficient, innovative and environmentally friendly analytical technique was successfully applied for the first time for the extraction and preconcentration of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) from water samples. The PBDEs selected for this work were those most commonly found in the literature in natural water samples: 2,2′,4,4′-tetraBDE (BDE-47), 2,2′,4,4,5-pentaBDE (BDE-99), 2,2′,4,4,6-pentaBDE (BDE-100) and 2,2,4,4′,5,5′-hexaBDE (BDE-153). The extracted PBDEs were separated and determined by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The extraction/preconcentration technique is based on ultrasound-assisted emulsification-microextraction (USAEME) of a water-immiscible solvent in an aqueous medium. Several variables including, solvent type, extraction time, extraction temperature and matrix modifiers were studied and optimized over the relative response the target analytes. Chloroform was used as extraction solvent in the USAEME technique. Under optimum conditions, the target analytes were quantitatively extracted achieving enrichment factors (EF) higher than 319. The detection limits (LODs) of the analytes for the preconcentration of 10 mL sample volume were within the range 1–2 pg mL−1. The relative standard deviations (RSD) for five replicates at 10 pg mL−1 concentration level were <10.3%. The calibration graphs were linear within the concentration range of 5–5000 pg mL−1 for BDE-47 and BDE-100; and 5–10,000 pg mL−1 for BDE-99 and BDE-153, respectively. The coefficients of estimation were ≥0.9985. Validation of the methodology was performed by standard addition method at two concentration levels (10 and 50 pg mL−1). Recovery values were ≥96%, which showed a successful robustness of the analytical methodology for determination of picogram per milliliter of PBDEs in water samples. Significant quantities of PBDEs were not found in the analyzed samples.  相似文献

A novel magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) sorbent, magnetite/silica/poly (methacrylic acid–co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) (Fe3O4/SiO2/P(MAA-co-EGDMA)), was developed. This MSPE material was prepared by distillation–precipitation polymerization of MAA and EGDMA in the presence of Fe3O4/SiO2 microspheres with the surface containing abundant reactive double bonds. The resultant sorbent material was characterized by elemental analysis, electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy. In this work, eleven sulfonamides (SAs) were selected as model analytes to validate the extraction performance of this new MSPE sorbent. Noticeably, the extraction can be carried out quickly, the extraction time for the SAs onto Fe3O4/SiO2/P(MAA-co-EGDMA) sorbent can be clearly shortened to 0.5 min. The desorption solution of SAs was analyzed by LC–MS/MS, and the results showed that the recoveries of these compounds were in the range of 87.6–115.6%, with relative standard deviations ranging between 0.9% and 10.8%; the limit of detection were in the range of 0.5–49.5 ng/L.  相似文献

Hormones are among the highest-impact endocrine disrupters affecting living organisms in aquatic environments. These molecules have been measured in both wastewater and sewage sludge. Analytical techniques for such matrices are well described in the literature. In contrast, there is little information about the analysis of hormones in animal waste. The objectives of this study were, first, to propose a method for conditioning swine manure samples (addition of formaldehyde, separation of the solid and liquid phases, and duration of storage) in order to determine hormones in the liquid fraction of manure by solid-phase extraction (SPE) coupled with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Our results showed that analysis of hormones was affected by matrix changes which occurred during freezing and thawing and after addition of formaldehyde, an additive frequently used to preserve environmental samples. Thus, our results argue for the conditioning of samples without formaldehyde and for separating the solid and liquid fractions of manure before freezing. Second, this study reports on the use of a liquid extraction method coupled with SPE and GC–MS analysis for determination of hormones in the solid fraction of manure. Under the conditions selected, hormone recoveries were between 80 and 100%. Finally, the optimized method was used to quantify hormones in both liquid and solid fractions of swine manure from different breeding units. High levels of estrone and α-estradiol were found in samples whereas β-estradiol was detected in smaller amounts. Estriol and progesterone were mainly found in manure from the gestating sow building whereas testosterone was detected in manure from male breeding buildings.  相似文献

Magnetic ion-imprinted polymer nanospheres, which have core–shell structures, have been synthesized as an adsorbent for extraction of Pb2+ from real samples prior to its flame atomic absorption spectrometric determination. The prepared adsorbent has been characterized using XRD, VSM, TEM, and FTIR measurements. The optimization results revealed that the adsorbent exhibited high selectivity toward Pb2+ over other cations such as Cu2+ and Zn2+. In addition, the removal efficiency of synthesized adsorbent was considerable (qm?=?171.42?mg g?1), its calibration curve was linear (0.5?850.0?ng mL?1), and detection limit was 0.01?ng mL?1. These results suggested that the prepared nanoadsorbent is an ideal candidate for solid-phase extraction of Pb2+ ions.  相似文献

An LC–MS–MS-based procedure for determination in hair of 14 different drugs of abuse belonging to the classes cocaine, amphetamine-like compounds, opiates, and hallucinogens has been developed. A pressurized-liquid extraction procedure was used and proved useful for quantitative recovery of all the analytes tested. This procedure, in conjunction with a simple decontamination step, performed to avoid false-positive samples, enabled the detection of all the analytes with LOQ ranging from 1.8 to 16 pg mg?1 and accuracy varying from 85 to 111 %. The procedure was validated in accordance with the SOFT/AAFS guidelines and seems to be suitable for routine determination of the drugs tested in hair.  相似文献
