From the results of an x-ray structural analysis of free dictysine it has been established that dictysine is an alkaloid of the denudatine type with an, , -triol system at C15, C16, and C20. Summary We have isolated from the tubers ofAconitum karakolicum collected in the Kirghiz SSR, Kungei Alatau range, songorine, napelline, a base with mp 159–160°C, and the new alkaloids karakoline and a base with mp 222–224°C.The results of a study of the chemical reactions and spectral characteristics of karakoline have shown that it consists of a lycoctonine skeleton with N-ethyl and C4-methyl groups, hydroxyls at C1, C8, and C10 and a methoxy group at C15.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR. The epigeal part ofDelphinium corumbosum Rgl., collected in the flowering phase in the environs of Pokatilovka (Dzhungarian Ala-Tau) has yielded — in addition to the known alkaloids methyllycaconitine, lycoctonine, delcorine, deoxydelcorine, delcoridine, dehydrodelcorine, dephatine, browniine, dictysine, and dictysine acetonide — a new diterpene alkaloid with the composition C25H39NO6 (I), which has been called corumdephine.
