In this paper, an exposition of a method is presented for discretizing a generalized Benjamin equation and third-order Burgers equation while preserving their Lie point symmetries. By using local conservation laws, the potential systems of original equation are obtained, which can be used to construct the invariant difference models and symmetry-preserving difference models of original equation, respectively. Furthermore, this method is very effective and can be applied to discrete high-order nonlinear evolution equations.  相似文献

The initial boundary value problem for a viscoelastic equation with nonlinear damping in a bounded domain is considered. By modifying the method, which is put forward by Li, Tasi and Vitillaro, we sententiously proved that, under certain conditions, any solution blows up in finite time. We investigate the issue of existence of the self-similar solutions of the generalized Tricomi equation in the half-space where the equation is hyperbolic. We look for the self-similar solutions via the Cauchy problem. An integral transformation suggested in [K. Yagdjian, A note on the fundamental solution for the Tricomi-type equation in the hyperbolic domain, J. Differential Equations 206 (2004) 227-252] is used to represent solutions of the Cauchy problem for the linear Tricomi-type equation in terms of fundamental solutions of the classical wave equation. This representation allows us to prove decay estimates for the linear Tricomi-type equation with a source term. Obtained in [K. Yagdjian, The self-similar solutions of the Tricomi-type equations, Z. Angew. Math. Phys., in press, doi:10.1007/s00033-006-5099-2] estimates for the self-similar solutions of the linear Tricomi-type equation are the key tools to prove existence of the self-similar solutions.  相似文献

We consider the stationary O’Connell–Yor model of semi-discrete directed polymers in a Brownian environment in the intermediate disorder regime and show convergence of the increments of the log-partition function to the energy solutions of the stochastic Burgers equation.The proof does not rely on the Cole–Hopf transform and avoids the use of spectral gap estimates for the discrete model. The present paper is concerned with the asymptotic behaviors of radially symmetric solutions for the multi-dimensional Burgers equation on the exterior domain in Rn,n3, where the boundary and far field conditions are prescribed. We show that in some case where the corresponding 1-D Riemann problem for the non-viscous part admits a shock wave, the solution tends toward a linear superposition of stationary and rarefaction waves as time goes to infinity, and also show the decay rate estimates. Furthermore, we improve the results on the asymptotic stability of the stationary waves which are treated in the previous papers [2], [3]. Finally, for the case of n=3, we give the complete classification of the asymptotic behaviors, which includes even a linear superposition of stationary and viscous shock waves.  相似文献

(9) (1983) 73–97.] Brézis and Friedman prove that certain nonlinear parabolic equations, with the δ-measure as initial data, have no solution. However in [J.F. Colombeau, M. Langlais, Generalized solutions of nonlinear parabolic equations with distributions as initial conditions, J. Math. Anal. Appl (1990) 186–196.] Colombeau and Langlais prove that these equations have a unique solution even if the δ-measure is substituted by any Colombeau generalized function of compact support. Here we generalize Colombeau and Langlais’ result proving that we may take any generalized function as the initial data. Our approach relies on recent algebraic and topological developments of the theory of Colombeau generalized functions and results from [J. Aragona, Colombeau generalized functions on quasi-regular sets, Publ. Math. Debrecen (2006) 371–399.].  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the existence of periodic solutions for the Lazer-McKenna suspension bridge equation with damping and nonconstant load. By using the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction methods, the author discuss the relationship between the sign-changing solutions and the source terms.
