Indium(III) chloride tetrahydrate and Schiff-base ligands derived from adamantaneamine and 3-/4-methoxysalicylaldehyde gave two complexes, C22H32Cl3InN2O3 (1) and C36H44Cl3InN2O4 (2), respectively. The complexes were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, elemental analysis, molar conductance, thermal analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, P21/n space group with the asymmetric unit consisting of one indium(III), one N-(3-methoxysalicylidene)-aminoadamantane (L1), three chlorides and one N,N-dimethylformamide molecule. The indium is six-coordinate with reversed triangular-prism geometry via three oxygens and three chlorides. Complex 2 crystallizes in the triclinic system, P 1 space group; the asymmetric unit consists of one indium(III), two N-(4methoxysalicylidene)-aminoadamantane (L2), and three chlorides. The indium is five-coordinate with distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry via two oxygens and three chlorides. Antibacterial activities of the complexes have been investigated against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.  相似文献

The reactions of Ga(acac)3 with salicylaldoxime (saoH2) and methyl-salicylaldoxime (Me-saoH2) in dichloromethane/hexane afforded the complexes [Ga(acac)(saoH)2] (1) and [Ga(acac)3][Ga(acac)(MesaoH)2] (2), respectively, in high yields. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Both complexes are mononuclear with the Ga(III) atoms being in octahedral environments surrounded by two bidentate chelate R-saoH and one bidentate chelate acac ligands. A [Ga(acac)3] moiety has co-crystallized along with the methylsalicylaldoximato complex. Characteristic IR as well as NMR data are discussed in terms of the nature of bonding in the structures of the two complexes. 1H and 13C NMR data in CDCl3 indicate that the salicylaldoximato complexes isomerize in solution.  相似文献

[M(SRaaiNR′)Cl3] (M = Rh(III), Ir(III) and SRaaiNR′ = 1-alkyl-2-{(o-thioalkyl)phenylazo}imidazole) complexes are described in this article. The single crystal X-ray structure of one of the complexes, [Rh(SMeaaiNEt)Cl3] (3b), shows a tridentate chelation of SMeaaiNEt via N(imidazole), N(azo) and S(thioether) donor centres. Spectral characterization has been done by IR, UV–Vis and 1H NMR data. The electronic structure, redox properties and spectra are well supported by DFT and TDDFT computation on the complexes.  相似文献

A straightforward synthetic route to produce tris(methacrylato)chromium(III), Cr(O2C(CH3)C=CH2)3, by reacting sodium methacrylate with an aqueous solution of CrCl3 gave a blue microcrystalline powder, insoluble in most common solvents. Electronic spectroscopy (UV-Vis), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), were employed to characterize Cr(O2C(CH3)C=CH2)3. Morphology and elemental composition of this compound were determined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX), respectively. Spherical particles of approximately 2.5 µm in diameter were obtained. Thermal stability of the product was investigated via thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The spectroscopic studies revealed that the coordination sphere around the chromium ion corresponds to a chelating bidentate carboxylate-Cr(III) complex. Thermal stability above 350°C, and spherical shape particles of few micrometers in diameter, suggest a potential application of this novel compound as a catalyst in oxidation reactions.  相似文献

Four novel tetranuclear macrocyclic complexes of the formula [(CuLi)3Fe](ClO4)3·3H2O (i=1–4, Li are the dianions of the [14]N4 and [15]N4 macrocyclic oxamides, namely 2,3-dioxo-5,6:13,14-dibenzo-7,12-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,11-diene, 2,3-dioxo-5,6:13,14-dibenzo-9-methyl-7,12-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,11-diene and 2,3-dioxo-5,6:14,15-dibenzo-7,13-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,12-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,12-diene] have been prepared and characterized. These complexes are the first examples of oxamido-bridged Cu(II)–Fe(III) heterometallic species. Cryomagnetic studies on [(CuL1)3Fe](ClO4)3·3H2O (1) and [(CuL3)3Fe](ClO4)3·3H2O (3) (77–300 K) revealed that the Cu(II) and Fe(III) ions interact antiferromagnetically through the oxamido bridge, with the exchange integral J=−30.8 cm−1 for 1 and J=−28.7 cm−1 for 3 based on . The interaction parameters have been compared with that of the related [Cu3Mn] compound.  相似文献

Tridentate Schiff bases (H2L1 or H2L2) were derived from condensation of acetylacetone and 2-aminophenol or 2-aminobenzoic acid. Binuclear square pyramidal complexes of the type [M2(L1)2]?·?nH2O (M?=?Fe–Cl, n?=?0; M?=?VO, n?=?1) were accessed from interaction of H2L1 with anhydrous FeCl3 and VOSO4?·?5H2O, respectively. A similar reaction with H2L2, however, produced mononuclear complexes [ML2(H2O) x ]?·?nH2O (M=Fe–Cl, x?=?0, n?=?0; M=VO, x?=?1, n?=?1). The compounds were characterized using elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and NMR (for ligand only), and mass spectroscopies and solution electrical conductivity studies. Magnetic susceptibility measurements suggest antiferromagnetic exchange in binuclear Fe(III) and VO(IV) complexes. Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) provided unambiguous evidence for the presence of coordinated as well as lattice water in [VOL2(H2O)]?·?H2O. Cyclic voltammetric studies showed well-defined redox processes corresponding to Fe(III)/Fe(II) and VO(V)/VO(IV). In vitro antimicrobial activities of the compounds were investigated against Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, and Proteus vulgaris. H2L1 and its binuclear complexes exhibited pronounced activity against all the microorganisms tested.  相似文献

The synthesis, the chemical, morphological, structural characterization and the magnetic properties of amorphous iron oxyhydroxy phosphate nanoparticles are reported. Aggregated spherical particles (diameter: 5-12 nm) are obtained showing a ferrihydrite-like behavior similar to that of the bacterial ferritin iron oxyhydroxy-phosphate core. A superparamagnetic behavior is observed with blocking temperatures ranging from ∼20 to ∼50 K depending on the iron and phosphate content.  相似文献

The resonance Raman spectra of tris(acetylacetonatoiron(III)) and ruthenium(III) complexes in various solvents and in water-acetonitrile (W-AN) mixtures were measured. The resonance Raman spectra of both complexes indicated peaks near 460 and around 1580 cm–1. Thev(C-O) peak (around 1580 cm–1) is shifted to low frequency with an increase in the dielectric constant T of the solvents, whereas thev(M-O) (M=Fe and Ru, near 460 cm–1) are constant, independent of T. It implies that the C-O bond in the acac ligand is lengthened by the polarizability effect of the solvents, while both the Fe-O and Ru-O bonds, which are located in the inside of the complexes, are not influenced by the solvents indicating that the interaction does not depend on the properties of individual solvent molecules but on those of the aggregate.  相似文献

A new series of mercaptopyrimidine Ru(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized using various spectral techniques like single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared and NMR spectroscopies, thermogravimetric analysis and energy‐dispersive X‐ray analysis. The complexes were evaluated for their pharmacological activities like in vitro antimicrobial, anticancer, antituberculosis and antioxidant activities. The DNA binding of the complexes was investigated by absorption and emission spectral measurements which indicated that the complexes bind to DNA via intercalation, with molecular docking studies validating the results. DNA cleavage studies of the complexes were carried out.  相似文献

New pyrimidine derivatives (pyr) have been synthesized using palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction. These compounds can undergo cyclometalation with iridium trichloride to form bis-cyclometalated iridium complexes, (pyr)2Ir(acac) (acac = acetylacetonate; pyr = cyclometalated pyr). The substituents at the both cyclometalated phenyl ring and pyrimidine ring were found to affect both electrochemical and photophysical properties of the complexes. Computation results on these complexes are consistent with the electrochemical and photophysical data. The complexes are green-emitting with good solution quantum yields at ∼0.30. Light-emitting devices using these complexes as dopants were fabricated, and the device performance at 100 mA/cm2 are moderate: 9 (17 481 cd/m2, 4.8%, 18 cd/A, 5.1 lm/W); 10 (18 704 cd/m2, 4.9%, 18.9 cd/A, 4.7 lm/W); 13 (20 942 cd/m2, 5.4%, 21.0 cd/A, 6.1 lm/W).  相似文献

The mononuclear high-spin iron(III) complexes [Fe(3-MeOsalpn)Cl(H2O)] (1) and [Fe(3-MeOsalpn)(NCS)(H2O)]·0.5CH3CN (2) and the tetranuclear oxo-bridged compound [{Fe(3-MeOsalpn)Gd(NO3)3}2(μ-O)]·CH3CN (3) [3-MeOsalpn2− = N,N′-propylenebis(3-methoxysalicylideneiminate)] have been prepared and magneto-structurally characterised. The iron(III) ion in 1 and 2 is six-coordinated in a somewhat distorted octahedral surrounding with the two phenolate-oxygens and two imine-nitrogens from the Schiff-base building the equatorial plane and a water (1 and 2) and a chloro (1)/thiocyanate-nitrogen (2) in the axial positions. The neutral mononuclear units of 1 and 2 are assembled into centrosymmetric dinuclear motifs through hydrogen bonds between the axially coordinated water molecule of one iron centre and methoxy-oxygen atoms from the Schiff-base of the adjacent iron atom. The values of the intradimer metal-metal distance within the supramolecular dimers are 4.930 (1) and 4.878 Å (2). The tetranuclear of 3 can be described as two {FeIII(3-MeOsalpn)} units connected through an oxo-bridge, each one hosting a [GdIII(NO3)3] entity in the outer cavity defined by the two phenolate- and two methoxy-oxygen atoms. The values of the intramolecular Fe?Fe and Fe?Gd distances in 3 are 3.502 and 3.606 Å, respectively. The analysis of the magnetic data of 1-3 in the temperature range 1.9-300 K shows the occurrence of weak intermolecular antiferromagnetic interactions in 1 and 2 [J = −0.76 (1) and −0.75 cm−1 (2) with the Hamiltonian defined as H = −JSFe1·SFe1] whereas two intramolecular antiferromagnetic interactions coexist in 3, one very strong between the two iron(III) ions (J1) through the oxo bridge and the other much weaker between the iron(III) and the Gd(III) ions (J2) across the double phenoxo oxygens [J1 = −275 cm−1 and J2 = −3.25 cm−1, the Hamiltonian being defined as H=-J1SFe1·SFe1-J2(SFe1·SGd1+SFe1·SGd1)]. These values are analysed in the light of the structural data and compared with those of related systems.  相似文献

Chalcone-derived 3-phenyl-1-pyridin-2-ylprop-2-en-1-one thiosemicarbazone (HPyCTPh) (1), 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-pyridin-2-ylprop-2-en-1-one thiosemicarbazone (HPyCT4ClPh) (2), 3-(4-bromophenyl)-1-pyridin-2-ylprop-2-en-1-one thiosemicarbazone (HPyCT4BrPh) (3), and 3-(4-nitrophenyl-1-pyridin-2-ylprop-2-en-1-one thiosemicarbazone (HPyCT4NO2Ph) (4) were obtained as well as their gallium(III) and zinc(II) complexes [Ga(PyCTPh)2]NO3 (Ga1), [Ga(PyCT4ClPh)2]NO3 (Ga2), [Ga(PyCT4BrPh)2]NO3 (Ga3), [Ga(PyCT4NO2Ph)2]NO3 (Ga4), [Zn(PyCTPh)2] (Zn1), [Zn(PyCT4ClPh)2] (Zn2), [Zn(PyCT4BrPh)2] (Zn3), and [Zn(PyCT4NO2Ph)2] (Zn4). The chalcones, thiosemicarbazones, and zinc(II) complexes were not active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The thiosemicarbazones proved to be more active than the parent chalcones against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. Coordination to zinc(II) resulted in activity improvement of most thiosemicarbazones against S. aureus. Coordination to gallium(III) significantly improved the antimicrobial activity of all thiosemicarbazones against the studied micro-organisms, suggesting this to be an effective strategy for antimicrobial activity enhancement.  相似文献

Solid complexes of five derivatives of thio-Schiff bases with La(III) and Ce(III) ions were prepared and characterized by elemental and thermogravimetric analyses. The suggested general formula of the solid complexes is [ML2(H2O)X]·2H2O, whereM=trivalent lanthanide ion,L=Schiff base andX=Cl? or ClO 4 ? . Information about the water of hydration, the coordinated water molecules, the coordination chemistry and the thermal stability of these complexes was obtained and is discussed. Additionally, a general scheme of thermal decomposition of the lanthanide-Schiff base complexes is proposed.  相似文献

An interesting series of iron (III) complexes with naphthoquinone-thiosemicarbazones are synthesized and physico-chemically characterized by elemental analysis, UV-vis, IR, EPR and magnetic susceptibility measurements. They possess a cationic octahedral [FeL2]+ species and a tetrahedral [FeCl4]- anion and exhibit unusual spin-mixed states involving high-spin and low-spin ferric centers as revealed from magnetic behavior with significant amount of exchange interactions mediated by intermolecular associations. The magnetic susceptibility data is fitted with S1=5/2 and S2=1/2 Heisengberg's exchange coupled model; H=-2JS1S2 and the magnetic exchange interactions are found to be of the order of -13.6 cm-1 indicating the moderate coupling between two paramagnetic centers present in different chemical and structural environment. The presence of spin-paired iron (III) cation having dxz2dxz2dxz1 ground state is revealed from the EPR spectra with three prominent peaks while the high-spin tetrahedral iron (III) anion exhibits characteristics g=4 signal whose intensity increases with lowering the temperature suggesting its influence on the magnetic properties of the complex molecule. FTIR measurements indicate tridentate ONS donor systems involving quinone/hydroxyl oxygen, imine/hydrazinic nitrogen and thione/thiol sulfur atoms as binding sites for naphthoquinone-thiosemicarbazones.  相似文献

Complexes of cerium(III), lanthanum(III) and neodymium(III) with coumarin‐3‐carboxylic acid (HCCA) were synthesized by mixing of equimolar amounts of the respective metal nitrates and coumarin‐3‐carboxylic acid in ethanol. The complexes were characterized and identified by elemental analysis, IR and Raman spectroscopy. DTA and TGA were applied to study the compositions of the compounds. The vibrational study showed bidentate coordination of CCA? to Ln(III) ions through the carbonyl oxygen and the carboxylic oxygen atoms. The newly synthesized compounds were assayed for cytotoxicity against SKW‐3, HL‐60 and Reh cells. The complexes of cerium(III) and lanthanum(III) showed marginal cytotoxic activity against SKW‐3 and Reh cells as compared with the inorganic salts at concentration 200 µM . The complex of neodymium(III) induced approximately 50% reduction of the survival HL‐60 and SKW‐3 cells at concentration 200 µM . Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The structural, spectroscopic, and electrochemical properties of [Co{(naph)2dien}(N3)] and [Co{(naph)2dpt}(N3)], where (naph)2dien?=?bis-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine)-N-diethylenetriaminedianion and (naph)2dpt?=?bis-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine)-N-dipropylenetriaminedianion have been investigated. These complexes are characterized by elemental analyses, IR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. The crystal structures of these complexes have been determined by X-ray diffraction. The geometry around cobalt is distorted octahedral. The electrochemical behavior of these complexes in acetonitrile solution was also investigated. Both complexes show an irreversible CoIII–CoII reduction at ca. ?0.8?V, accompanied by dissociation of the axial CoII–N3 bond. The in vitro antibacterial activities of these complexes were tested against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus licheniformis.  相似文献
