In the replica symmetric approximation and static limit in Matsubara “imaginary time”, the quantum XY spin glass model with planar Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction in longitudinal field is investigated. Several thermodynamic quantities are calculated numerically as well as spin self-interaction and spin glass order parameter for spin S=1/2. It is shown that the entropy is not independent of the field. A crossover behavior of the specific heat depending on temperature is found. There is a deviation from the parabolic approximation, C/T=A+Bh 2 . Received 11 March 1998  相似文献

We propose in this paper the local relativistic quantum field-theoretic formulation of the most general isobar model, with unstable two-particle isobars having arbitrary mass and spin spectrum. Such infinite family of isobars is described by infinite-component field operator with its components given by symmetric, traceless and divergenceless field operators ϕu1uI (x;s), where I describes spin (I = 0, 1, 2…) and the continuous parameter S the spectrum of asymptotic masses. The asymptotic free states defined by generalized LSZ limits of ϕu1uI (x;s), can be described by means of stable multiparticle states. In such a field theory one can choose the parameters in such a way that already a Born term describes an arbitrarily chosen two-body scattering amplitude. As an example we present the generalization of Van Hove model of Reggeons to the case of complex Regge trajectory, describing Regge family of resonances on the second sheet. Finally the correspondence with conventional theory is discussed. It is shown that the Feynman diagrams in local field-theoretic isobar model can be interpreted in the framework of non local theory describing in some approximation an equivalent interaction between stable decay products.  相似文献

The binding energy of the six-quark system with strangeness s = −3 is investigated under the chiral SU(3) constituent quark model in the framework of RGM. The calculations of the single NΩ channel with spin S = 2 and the single ΔΩ channel with spin S = 3 are performed. The results show that both systems could be dibaryons and the interaction induced by the chiral field plays a very important role on forming bound states in the systems considered. The phase shifts and scattering lengths in corresponding channels are also given.  相似文献

The average ground state energy and entropy for ±J spin glasses on Bethe lattices of connectivities k + 1 = 3..., 26 at T = 0 are approximated numerically. To obtain sufficient accuracy for large system sizes (up to n = 212), the Extremal Optimization heuristic is employed which provides high-quality results not only for the ground state energies per spin ek+1 but also for their entropies sk+1. The results indicate sizable differences between lattices of even and odd connectivities. The extrapolated ground state energies compare very well with recent one-step replica symmetry breaking calculations. These energies can be scaled for all even connectivities k + 1 to within a fraction of a percent onto a simple functional form, e k + 1 = E SK - (2E SK + )/, where E SK = - 0.7633 is the ground state energy for the broken replica symmetry in the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model. But this form is in conflict with perturbative calculations at large k + 1, which do not distinguish between even and odd connectivities. We also find non-zero entropies per spin sk+1 at small connectivities. While sk+1 seems to vanish asymptotically with 1/(k + 1) for even connectivities, it is numerically indistinguishable from zero already for odd k + 1 ≥ 9. Phoenix和Knight提出的量子熵理论,用量子熵作为缠结程度的量度,研究了附加克尔介质依赖强度耦合Jaynes-Cummings模型场熵演化的动力学特性和原子-场的缠结特性,详细地讨论了克尔效应及初始相干光场的强弱对场熵演化特性和原子-场缠结特性的影响,并与原子反转特性相比较.结果表明:在初始相干光场较弱时(n=10),克尔介质的非线性相互作用破坏了场熵演化的周期性,原子-场不再周期消缠结.但在初始相干光场较强时(n=50),克尔介质非线性相互作用只是使场熵演化的周期性减弱,场熵的演化仍近似地有周期性,原子-场仍周期消缠结,克尔效应越强,周期越小.当克尔介质与光场强耦合相互作用时(χ/g=5),原子-场持续消缠结.  相似文献

We employ a thermodynamic integration method (TIM) to establish the values of the residual entropy for the geometrically frustrated spin-s triangular Ising antiferromagnet, with the spin values s = 1/2, 1, 3/2, 2 and 5/2. The case of s = 1/2, for which the exact value is known, is used to assess the TIM performance. We also obtain an analytical formula for the lower bound in a general spin-s model and conjecture that it should reasonably approximate the true residual entropy for sufficiently large s. Implications of the present results in relation to reliability of the TIM as an indirect method for calculating global thermodynamic quantities, such as the free energy and the entropy, in similar systems involving frustration and/or higher spin values by standard Monte Carlo sampling are briefly discussed.  相似文献

A general form of the total nonrenormalized propagator for a massive Rarita-Schwinger field is obtained with allowance for all spin components. The dressing of two opposite-parity Dirac fermions in the presence of mutual transitions is the closest analogy of dressing in the s = 1/2 sector of the Rarita-Schwinger field. A calculation of self-energy contributions confirms that the Rarita-Schwinger field involves, in addition to a leading component of spin s = 3/2, two opposite-parity components of spin s = 1/2.  相似文献

Polycrystalline Nd1−xKxMnO3 (x=0.10–0.20) compounds have been prepared in single phase form with Pbnm space group. The magnetic properties were studied by measuring dc magnetization and ac susceptibility. They exhibit paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition with transition temperature ranging from 116 to 128 K. The magnetization data have been analyzed by using Brillouin function model and by taking into account the ferromagnetic interaction. The effective spin contribution towards ferromagnetic interaction and spin canting angle have been estimated. The spin canting angle is found to decrease with increase in doping. Magneto-caloric effect (MCE) has been studied and the maximum change in entropy was found to be 1.76 J/kg K for 1 T field. Metal–insulator transition and colossal magnetoresistance of the order of 60% for 1 T field have been observed for x=0.20 sample.  相似文献

The correlation functions of vector and pseudoscalar currents have been calculated in the external strong magnetic field in SU(2) lattice gluodynamics. The masses of the neutral ρ meson with different spin projections s = 0, ±1 to the axis parallel to the external magnetic field B have been calculated. The ρ meson mass with zero spin s = 0 decreases with the growth of the magnetic field and the ρ meson masses with s = ±1 increase with the magnetic field.  相似文献

By means of the generalized static replica symmetric spin glass theory, a quantum HeisenbergS=1/2 spin glass model with the infinite-ranged random Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction and ferromagnetic coupling is investigated. The dependence of entropy, specific heat, susceptibility and the corresponding order parameters on temperature is studied numerically for different ferromagnetic interactions and fixed anisotropy. Two spin glass phases has been found including transverse and mixed spin glass phases. It has been shown that the local susceptibility exhibits double-cusp features for different ferromagnetic coupling (J 0). Phase transition poins are found in the specific heat-temperature plane at various ferromagnetic coupling values. Additionally, the dependence of the spontaneous moment on temperature is calculated.  相似文献

We present exact results on the partition function of the q-state Potts model on various families of graphs G in a generalized external magnetic field that favors or disfavors spin values in a subset I s ={1,…,s} of the total set of possible spin values, Z(G,q,s,v,w), where v and w are temperature- and field-dependent Boltzmann variables. We remark on differences in thermodynamic behavior between our model with a generalized external magnetic field and the Potts model with a conventional magnetic field that favors or disfavors a single spin value. Exact results are also given for the interesting special case of the zero-temperature Potts antiferromagnet, corresponding to a set-weighted chromatic polynomial Ph(G,q,s,w) that counts the number of colorings of the vertices of G subject to the condition that colors of adjacent vertices are different, with a weighting w that favors or disfavors colors in the interval I s . We derive powerful new upper and lower bounds on Z(G,q,s,v,w) for the ferromagnetic case in terms of zero-field Potts partition functions with certain transformed arguments. We also prove general inequalities for Z(G,q,s,v,w) on different families of tree graphs. As part of our analysis, we elucidate how the field-dependent Potts partition function and weighted-set chromatic polynomial distinguish, respectively, between Tutte-equivalent and chromatically equivalent pairs of graphs.  相似文献

A new information-geometric approach to chaotic dynamics on curved statistical manifolds based on Entropic Dynamics (ED) is proposed. It is shown that the hyperbolicity of a non-maximally symmetric 6N-dimensional statistical manifold ℳ s underlying an ED Gaussian model describing an arbitrary system of 3N degrees of freedom leads to linear information-geometric entropy growth and to exponential divergence of the Jacobi vector field intensity, quantum and classical features of chaos respectively.  相似文献

The ground and a few excited states of the beryllium atom in external uniform magnetic fields are calculated by means of our 2D mesh Hartree-Fock method for field strengths ranging from zero up to 2.35×109 T. With changing field strength the ground state of the Be atom undergoes three transitions involving four different electronic configurations which belong to three groups with different spin projections S z = 0, - 1, - 2. For weak fields the ground state configuration arises from the 1s 22s 2, S z = 0 configuration. With increasing field strength the ground state evolves into the two S z = - 1 configurations 1s 22s2p -1 and 1s 22p -13d -2, followed by the fully spin polarised S z = - 2 configuration 1s2p -13d -24f -3. The latter configuration forms the ground state of the beryllium atom in the high field regime γ > 4.567. The analogous calculations for the Be + ion provide the sequence of the three following ground state configurations: 1s22s and 1s 22p -1 (S z = - 1/2) and 1s2p -13d -2 (S z = - 3/2). A collapse and revival shape of Rabi oscillations in an electron spin of a single nitrogen-vacancy centre has been observed in diamond at room temperature. Because of hyperfine interaction between the host 14N nuclear spin and the nitrogen-vacancy centre electron spin, different orientations of the 14N nuclear spins lead to a triplet splitting of the transition between ground state (ms =0) and excited state (ms =1). The manipulation of the single electron spin of nitrogen-vacancy centre is achieved by using a combination of selective microwave excitation and optical pumping at 532 nm. Microwaves can excite three transitions equally to induce three independent nutations and the shape of Rabi oscillations is a combination of the three nutations.  相似文献

We discuss two single spin flip variational wave functions describing spin wave excitations which were proposed earlier by Shastry, Krishnamurthy and Anderson (SKA) and by Basile and Elser (BE), respectively, in order to investigate the instability of the fully polarized ferromagnetic state (Nagaoka state) in the infinite U Hubbard model. We calculate the energy of these variational states for the square lattice and for multiple chains. At the zone boundary in the vicinity of the point (0, π) the spin wave energy is reduced substantially by the binding of the spin up hole to the flipped down spin. For the square lattice this leads to a critical hole density of δcr = 0.407 for the SKA spin wave and of δcr = 0.322 for the BE spin wave which implies remarkable improvements in comparison to the corresponding scattering states investigated previously.  相似文献

The anti-de Sitter/conformal field theory (AdS/CFT) correspondence implies that small perturbations of a black hole correspond to small deviations from thermodynamic equilibrium in a dual field theory. For gauge theories with an Einstein gravity dual, the AdS/CFT correspondence predicts a universal value for the ratio of the shear viscosity to the entropy density, η/s = 1/4π. It was conjectured recently that all fluids conform to the lower bound η/s ≥ 1/4π. This conjectured bound has been the focus of much recent attention. However, despite the flurry of research in this field we still lack a proof for the general validity of the bound. In this essay we show that this mysterious bound is actually a direct outcome of the interplay between gravity, quantum theory, and thermodynamics.  相似文献

The entropy density, energy density, pressure and equation of state for the gases of massless particles with spin s ≤ 2 around the static spherical black hole with quintessence are investigated by using the brick-wall method. It is shown that the state equations for spin fields in curved spacetime do not take the same forms as that in flat spacetime and contain additional terms with spin dependence. Then the character of the terms and the effect of quintessence and spin on them are discussed.  相似文献
