In this paper we introduce a stopping process to analyze oscillatory integral operators with degenerate phases. The resulting bounds give smoothing properties for averages along variable families of curves inR n with two-sided torsion. We consider bilinear oscillatory integrals, i.e. pseudo-product operators whose symbol involves an oscillating factor. Lebesgue space inequalities are established, which give decay as the oscillation becomes stronger; this extends the well-known linear theory of oscillatory integral in some directions. The proof relies on a combination of time-frequency analysis of Coifman-Meyer type with stationary and non-stationary phase estimates. As a consequence of this analysis, we obtain Lebesgue estimates for new bilinear multipliers defined by non-smooth symbols.  相似文献

Weighted Lp estimates (1<p<∞) are shown for oscillatory singular integral operators with polynomial phase and a rough kernel of the form eiP(x,y)Ω(x−y)h(|x−y|)|x−y|−n. We assume that Ω∈L logL(Sn−1) is homogeneous of degree zero and ∫Sn-1Ω=0. The radial factor h has bounded variation. The necessary condition on the weight is similar to the Ap condition but involves rectangles (instead of cubes) arising from a covering of a star-shaped set related to Ω.  相似文献

Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators have been extensively studied for almost half a century. This paper provides a context for and proof of the following result: If a Calderón-Zygmund convolution singular integral operator is bounded on the Hardy space H1 (Rn), then the homogeneous of degree zero kernel is in the Hardy space H1(Sn–1) on the sphere.  相似文献

In this article we study the singular integral operators along the curve on the Heisenberg group. It is a variable coefficient extension of the singular integrals along the odd curves on the Euclidean space ℝ2. We apply the Bennett–Carbery–Tao multilinear restriction estimate in order to bound restriction operators and more general oscillatory integral operators. We get improved L p estimates in the Stein restriction problem for dimension at least 5 and a small improvement in dimension 3. We prove similar estimates for H?rmander-type oscillatory integral operators when the quadratic term in the phase function is positive definite, getting improvements in dimension at least 5. We also prove estimates for H?rmander-type oscillatory integral operators in even dimensions. These last oscillatory estimates are related to improved bounds on the dimensions of curved Kakeya sets in even dimensions.  相似文献

This paper proves a theorem on the decay rate of the oscillatory integral operator with a degenerate C^∞ phase function, thus improving a classical theorem of HSrmander. The proof invokes two new methods to resolve the singularity of such kind of operators: a delicate method to decompose the operator and balance the L^2 norm estimates; and a method for resolution of singularity of the convolution type. The operator is decomposed into four major pieces instead of infinite dyadic pieces, which reveals that Cotlar's Lemma is not essential for the L^2 estimate of the operator. In the end the conclusion is further improved from the degenerate C^∞ phase function to the degenerate C^4 phase function.  相似文献

We develop a generalized Littlewood-Paley theory for semigroups acting on Lp-spaces of functions with values in uniformly convex or smooth Banach spaces. We characterize, in the vector-valued setting, the validity of the one-sided inequalities concerning the generalized Littlewood-Paley-Stein g-function associated with a subordinated Poisson symmetric diffusion semigroup by the martingale cotype and type properties of the underlying Banach space. We show that in the case of the usual Poisson semigroup and the Poisson semigroup subordinated to the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup on Rn, this general theory becomes more satisfactory (and easier to be handled) in virtue of the theory of vector-valued Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators.  相似文献

This paper establishes endpoint Lp-Lq and Sobolev mapping properties of Radon-like operators which satisfy a homogeneity condition (similar to semiquasihomogeneity) and a condition on the rank of a matrix related to rotational curvature. For highly degenerate operators, the rank condition is generically satisfied for algebraic reasons, similar to an observation of Greenleaf, Pramanik and Tang [A. Greenleaf, M. Pramanik, W. Tang, Oscillatory integral operators with homogeneous polynomial phases in several variables, J. Funct. Anal. 244 (2) (2007) 444-487] concerning oscillatory integral operators.  相似文献

We derive the regularity properties of the Radon transform of Melrose and Taylor for the scattering on a compact, convex obstacle with a smooth boundary. The result is formulated in terms of the highest order of contact of tangent lines with the boundary of an obstacle. We obtain L2 decay estimates in λ for oscillatory integral operators Tλ whose phase functions are homogeneous polynomials of degree m and satisfy various genericity assumptions. The decay rates obtained are optimal in the case of (2+2)-dimensions for any m, while in higher dimensions the result is sharp for m sufficiently large. The proof for large m follows from essentially algebraic considerations. For cubics in (2+2)-dimensions, the proof involves decomposing the operator near the conic zero variety of the determinant of the Hessian of the phase function, using an elaboration of the general approach of Phong and Stein [D.H. Phong, E.M. Stein, Models of degenerate Fourier integral operators and Radon transforms, Ann. of Math. (2) 140 (1994) 703-722].  相似文献

Let T be a Calderón-Zygmund operator in a “non-homogeneous” space ( , d, μ), where, in particular, the measure μ may be non-doubling. Much of the classical theory of singular integrals has been recently extended to this context by F. Nazarov, S. Treil, and A. Volberg and, independently by X. Tolsa. In the present work we study some weighted inequalities for T*, which is the supremum of the truncated operators associated with T. Specifically, for1<p<∞, we obtain sufficient conditions for the weight in one side, which guarantee that another weight exists in the other side, so that the corresponding Lp weighted inequality holds for T*. The main tool to deal with this problem is the theory of vector-valued inequalities for T* and some related operators. We discuss it first by showing how these operators are connected to the general theory of vector-valued Calderón-Zygmund operators in non-homogeneous spaces, developed in our previous paper [6]. For the Cauchy integral operator C, which is the main example, we apply the two-weight inequalities for C* to characterize the existence of principal values for functions in weighted Lp.  相似文献

We develop a function theory associated with Dirac type operators on Lipschitz subdomains of Riemannian manifolds. The main emphasis is on Hardy spaces and boundary value problems, and our aim is to identify the geometric and analytic assumptions guaranteeing the validity of basic results from complex function theory in this general setting. For example, we study Plemelj-Calderón-Seeley-Bojarski type splittings of Cauchy boundary data into traces of ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ monogenics and show that this problem has finite index. We also consider Szegö projections and the corresponding Lp-decompositions. Our approach relies on an extension of the classical Calderón-Zygmund theory of singular integral operators which allow one to consider Cauchy type operators with variable kernels on Lipschitz graphs. In the second part, where we explore connections with Maxwell's equations, the main novelty is the treatment of the corresponding electro-magnetic boundary value problem by recasting it as a ‘half’ Dirichlet problem for a suitable Dirac operator.  相似文献
