We show that there exist saddle solutions of the nonlinear elliptic equation involving the p-Laplacian, p > 2, -Δ p u = f(u) in R2m for all dimensions satisfying 2mp, by using sub-supersolution method. The existence of saddle solutions of the above problem was known only in dimensions 2m ≥ 2p.  相似文献

We study parametric nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems driven by the p-Laplacian with convex and concave terms. The convex term appears in the reaction and the concave in the boundary condition (source). We study the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions as the parameter λ > 0 varies. For the semilinear problem (p = 2), we prove a bifurcation type result. Finally, we show the existence of nodal (sign changing) solutions.  相似文献

We consider a nonlinear evolution equation for complex-valued functions of a real positive time variable and a p-adic spatial variable. This equation is a non-Archimedean counterpart of the fractional porous medium equation. Developing, as a tool, an \(L^1\)-theory of Vladimirov’s p-adic fractional differentiation operator, we prove m-accretivity of the appropriate nonlinear operator, thus obtaining the existence and uniqueness of a mild solution. We give also an example of an explicit solution of the p-adic porous medium equation.  相似文献

A nonlinear heat equation with a special source on a straight line is considered. The family of exact solutions to this equation that have the form p(t) + q(t)cosx/√2, where functions p(t) and q(t) satisfy a certain dynamic system, is constructed. The system is comprehensively analyzed, and the behavior of p(t) and q(t) depending on initial data is revealed. It is found that some of the unbounded solutions from the aforementioned family are close, in a certain sense, to an analytical solution to the heat equation with power nonlinearities. The Cauchy problem for the equations considered is studied as well. It is proved that, depending on the initial solution function, solutions may develop in a blow-up regime or decay.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of semiclassical states for some p-Laplacian equation. Under given conditions and minimax methods, we show that this problem has at least one positive solution provided that εE; for any m ∈ ?, it has m pairs solutions if εE m , where E, Em are sufficiently small positive numbers. Moreover, these solutions are closed to zero in W1,p(? N ) as ε → 0.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the (p, q)-Laplace equation in a bounded domain under the Dirichlet boundary condition. We give a sufficient condition of the nonlinear term for the existence of a sequence of solutions converging to zero or diverging to infinity. Moreover, we give a priori estimates of the C 1-norms of solutions under a suitable condition on the nonlinear term.  相似文献

The problem of existence of solutions to p-adic semilinear heat equations with particular nonlinear terms has already been studied in the literature but the occurrence of blow-up phenomena has not been considered yet. We initiate the study of finite time blow-up for solutions of this kind of p-adic semilinear equations, proving that this phenomenon always arises under appropriate assumptions in the case when the exponent of nonlinearity times the dimension is strictly less than the order of the operator.  相似文献

We study an optimal control problem for a variational inequality with the so-called anisotropic p-Laplacian in the principle part of this inequality. The coefficients of the anisotropic p-Laplacian, the matrix A(x), we take as a control. The optimal control problem is to minimize the discrepancy between a given distribution \({y_d \in L^{2}(\Omega)}\) and the solutions \({y \in K \subset W^{1,p}_{0}(\Omega)}\) of the corresponding variational inequality. We show that the original problem is well-posed and derive existence of optimal pairs. Since the anisotropic p-Laplacian inherits the degeneracy with respect to unboundedness of the term \({|(A(x)\nabla y, \nabla y)_{\mathbb{R}^N}|^{\frac{p-2}{2}}}\), we introduce a two-parameter model for the relaxation of the original problem. Further we discuss the asymptotic behavior of relaxed solutions and show that some optimal pairs to the original problem can be attained by the solutions of two-parametric approximated optimal control problems.  相似文献

We study the blow-up and/or global existence of the following p-Laplacian evolution equation with variable source power
$${s_j} = {\beta _j} + \overline {{\beta _{n - j}}}p$$
where Ω is either a bounded domain or the whole space ? N , q(x) is a positive and continuous function defined in Ω with 0 < q ? = inf q(x) ? q(x) ? sup q(x) = q+ < ∞. It is demonstrated that the equation with variable source power has much richer dynamics with interesting phenomena which depends on the interplay of q(x) and the structure of spatial domain Ω, compared with the case of constant source power. For the case that Ω is a bounded domain, the exponent p ? 1 plays a crucial role. If q+ > p ? 1, there exist blow-up solutions, while if q + < p ? 1, all the solutions are global. If q ? > p ? 1, there exist global solutions, while for given q ? < p ? 1 < q +, there exist some function q(x) and Ω such that all nontrivial solutions will blow up, which is called the Fujita phenomenon. For the case Ω = ? N , the Fujita phenomenon occurs if 1 < q ? ? q + ? p ? 1 + p/N, while if q ? > p ? 1 + p/N, there exist global solutions.

We discuss the discrete p-Laplacian eigenvalue problem,
$$\left\{ \begin{gathered} \Delta (\phi _p (\Delta u(k - 1))) + \lambda a(k)g(u(k)) = 0,k \in \{ 1,2,...,T\} , \hfill \\ u(0) = u(T + 1) = 0, \hfill \\ \end{gathered} \right.$$
where T > 1 is a given positive integer and φ p (x):= |x| p?2 x, p > 1. First, the existence of an unbounded continuum C of positive solutions emanating from (λ, u) = (0, 0) is shown under suitable conditions on the nonlinearity. Then, under an additional condition, it is shown that the positive solution is unique for any λ > 0 and all solutions are ordered. Thus the continuum C is a monotone continuous curve globally defined for all λ > 0.

We consider the p-adic random walk model in a potential which can be viewed as a generalization of p-adic random walk models used for describing protein conformational dynamics. This model is based on the Kolmogorov-Feller equations for the distribution function defined on the field of p-adic numbers in which the transition rate depends on ultrametric distance between the transition points as well as on function of potential violating the spatial homogeneity of a random process. This equation which will be called the equation of p-adic random walk in a potential, is equivalent to the equation of p-adic random walk with modified measure and reaction source. With a special choice of a power-law potential the last equation is shown to have an exact analytic solution. We find the analytic solution of the Cauchy problem for such equation with an initial condition, whose support lies in the ring of integer p-adic numbers. We also examine the asymptotic behaviour of the distribution function for large times. It is shown that in the limit t→∞ the distribution function tends to the equilibrium solution according to the law, which is bounded from above and below by power laws with the same exponent. Our principal conclusion is that the introduction of a potential in the model of p-adic random walk conserves the power-law behaviour of relaxation curves for large times.  相似文献

The Dirichlet problem for the degenerate and singular parabolic p(x)-Laplace equation with one spatial variable is considered. We prove the existence of the unique weak solution such that the derivatives u t and u x of a solution u belong to \({L_{\infty}}\). Moreover for the singular case we prove the existence of the strong solution i.e. such that u t , u x and u xx belong to \({L_{\infty}}\).  相似文献

In this paper, we present and analyze a superconvergent and high order accurate local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) method for nonlinear two-point boundary-value problems (BVPs) of the form u = f (t, u), which arise in a wide variety of engineering applications. We prove the L 2 stability of the LDG scheme and optimal L 2 error estimates for the solution and for the auxiliary variable that approximates the first-order derivative. The order of convergence is proved to be p +?1, when piecewise polynomials of degree at most p are used. Our numerical experiments demonstrate optimal rates of convergence. Moreover, we show that the derivatives of the LDG solutions are superconvergent with order p +?1 toward the derivatives of Gausss-Radau projections of the exact solutions. Finally, we prove that the LDG solutions are superconvergent with order p +?3/2 toward Gauss-Radau projections of the exact solutions. Our computational results indicate that the observed numerical superconvergence rate is p +?2. Our proofs are valid for arbitrary regular meshes using piecewise polynomials of degree p ≥?1 and for the periodic, Dirichlet, and mixed boundary conditions. All proofs are valid under the hypotheses of the existence and uniqueness theorem for BVPs. Several numerical results are presented to validate the theoretical results.  相似文献

The present paper deals with the study of semilinear and non-homogeneous Schrödinger equations on a manifold with conical singularity. We provide a suitable constant by Sobolev embedding constant and for p ∈ (2, 2?) with respect to non-homogeneous term g(x) ∈ L 2 n/2 (B), which helps to find multiple solutions of our problem. More precisely, we prove the existence of two solutions to the problem 1.1 with negative and positive energy in cone Sobolev space H 2,0 1,n/2 (B). Finally, we consider p = 2 and we prove the existence and uniqueness of Fuchsian-Poisson problem.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet problem for an inhomogeneous p-Laplace equation with nonlinear source in the presence of exterior mass forces. We obtain new sufficient conditions for the existence of a weak nonnegative bounded solution. The sufficient conditions are written in explicit form through the data of the problem.  相似文献

We consider a nonlinear elliptic Dirichlet equation driven by a nonlinear nonhomogeneous differential operator involving a Carathéodory function which is (p?1)-superlinear but does not satisfy the Ambrosetti–Rabinowitz condition. First we prove a three-solutions-theorem extending an earlier classical result of Wang (Ann Inst H Poincaré Anal Non Linéaire 8(1):43–57, 1991). Subsequently, by imposing additional conditions on the nonlinearity \({f(x,\cdot)}\), we produce two more nontrivial constant sign solutions and a nodal solution for a total of five nontrivial solutions. In the special case of (p, 2)-equations we prove the existence of a second nodal solution for a total of six nontrivial solutions given with complete sign information. Finally, we study a nonlinear eigenvalue problem and we show that the problem has at least two nontrivial positive solutions for all parameters \({\lambda > 0}\) sufficiently small where one solution vanishes in the Sobolev norm as \({\lambda \to 0^+}\) and the other one blows up (again in the Sobolev norm) as \({\lambda \to 0^+}\).  相似文献

We prove several existence and uniqueness results for L p (p > 1) solutions of reflected BSDEs with continuous barriers and generators satisfying a one-sided Osgood condition together with a general growth condition in y and a uniform continuity condition or a linear growth condition in z. A necessary and sufficient condition with respect to the growth of barrier is also explored to ensure the existence of a solution. And, we show that the solutions may be approximated by the penalization method and by some sequences of solutions of reflected BSDEs. These results are obtained due to the development of those existing ideas and methods together with the application of new ideas and techniques, and they unify and improve some known works.  相似文献

We study the existence, uniqueness, and asymptotic behavior of blow-up solutions for a general quasilinear elliptic equation of the type ?Δ p u = a(x)u m ?b(x)f(u) with p >  1 and 0 <  mp?1. The main technical tool is a new comparison principle that enables us to extend arguments for semilinear equations to quasilinear ones. Indeed, this paper is an attempt to generalize all available results for the semilinear case with p =  2 to the quasilinear case with p >  1.  相似文献

In our previous papers, we introduced the notion of a generalized solution to the initial-boundary value problem for the wave equation with a boundary function µ(t) such that the integral ∫ 0 T (T ? t)|µ(t)| p dt exists. Here we prove that this solution is a unique solution to the problem in L p that satisfies the corresponding integral identity.  相似文献

We show the existence and multiplicity of solutions to degenerate p(x)-Laplace equations with Leray-Lions type operators using direct methods and critical point theories in Calculus of Variations and prove the uniqueness and nonnegativeness of solutions when the principal operator is monotone and the nonlinearity is nonincreasing. Our operator is of the most general form containing all previous ones and we also weaken assumptions on the operator and the nonlinearity to get the above results. Moreover, we do not impose the restricted condition on p(x) and the uniform monotonicity of the operator to show the existence of three distinct solutions.  相似文献
