Metal sulfides are among the most promising materials for a wide variety of technologically relevant applications ranging from energy to environment and beyond. Incidentally, ionic liquids (ILs) have been among the top research subjects for the same applications and also for inorganic materials synthesis. As a result, the exploitation of the peculiar properties of ILs for metal sulfide synthesis could provide attractive new avenues for the generation of new, highly specific metal sulfides for numerous applications. This article therefore describes current developments in metal sulfide nanoparticle synthesis as exemplified by a number of highlight examples. Moreover, the article demonstrates how ILs have been used in metal sulfide synthesis and discusses the benefits of using ILs over more traditional approaches. Finally, the article demonstrates some technological challenges and how ILs could be used to further advance the production and specific property engineering of metal sulfide nanomaterials, again based on a number of selected examples. 相似文献

The implementation of next-generation batteries requires the development of safe, compatible electrolytes that are stable and do not cause safety problems. The difluoro(oxalato)borate ([DFOB]−) anion has been used as an electrolyte additive to aid with stability, but such an approach has most commonly been carried out using flammable solvent electrolytes. As an alternative approach, utilisation of the [DFOB]− anion to make ionic liquids (ILs) or Organic Ionic Plastic Crystals (OIPCs) allows the advantageous properties of ILs or OIPCs, such as higher thermal stability and non-volatility, combined with the benefits of the [DFOB]− anion. Here, we report the synthesis of new [DFOB]−-based ILs paired with triethylmethylphosphonium [P1222]+, and diethylisobutylmethylphosphonium [P122i4]+. We also report the first OIPCs containing the [DFOB]− anion, formed by combination with the 1-ethyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium [C2mpyr]+ cation, and the triethylmethylammonium [N1222]+ cation. The traditional synthetic route using halide starting materials has been successfully replaced by a halide-free tosylate-based synthetic route that is advantageous for a purer, halide free product. The synthesised [DFOB]−-based salts exhibit good thermal stability, while the ILs display relatively high ionic conductivity. Thus, the new [DFOB]−-based electrolytes show promise for further investigation as battery electrolytes both in liquid and solid-state form. 相似文献

A series of guanidinium ionic liquids(GILs) was designed, synthesized, and used as electrolytes for dye-sensitized solar celIs(DSSCs). The effect of electrolytes containing GILs on the photovoltaic performance of DSSCs was investigated. It is demonstrated that these GILs are promising for being used as electrolytes for DSSCs and a conversion efficiency of 4.1% can be obtained under AM 1.5 sun light irradiation. 相似文献

A convenient, fast, efficient, and ecofriendly synthesis of metal‐free phthalocyanines from various substituted phthalonitriles in different hydroxyalkylammonium ionic liquids in the presence of 1,8‐diazabicyclo‐[5,4,0]‐undec‐7‐ene (DBU) is reported in moderate yields. The effect of concentration of DBU and temperature on the synthesis of phthalocyanine in N‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐N,N‐dimethylbutylammonium bromide ionic liquid has been examined, and the ionic liquid has been recovered and reused conveniently. 相似文献

A simple, inexpensive, and efficient new synthesis of 4(3H)-quinazolinones from the reaction of 2-aminobenzamide with aroyl chlorides in the presence of two new halogen-free Brønsted acidic ionic liquids, 3-methyl-1-(4-sulfonic acid)butylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate [(CH2)4SO3HMIM][HSO4] and 1-(4-sulfonic acid) butylpyridinium hydrogen sulfate [(CH2)4SO3HPY][HSO4], green and reusable catalysts, with excellent product yields under solvent-free conditions is reported. A ligand-free, palladium-catalyzed amidocarbonylation reaction of aromatic aldehyde, acetamide, and CO in ionic liquids [C4mim]PF6, [C6mim]PF6, [C8mim]PF6, and [C6mim]BF4 as solvents is developed. The yields decreased in the order [C6mim]PF6 > [C8mim]PF6 > [C4mim]PF6 > [C6mim]BF4, and substrate concentration affected the catalytic activity of amidocarbonylation. The excellent yield with up to 98% in amidocarbonylation of benzaldehyde was obtained using 15 mol% LiBr · H2O and 6 mol% H2SO4 at 80 °C. This reaction could proceed smoothly, resulting in several functionalized ortho-, meta-, and para-substituted N-acyl-α-phenylglycines in moderate to good yields, and o-tolualdehyde and m-tolualdehyde as substrates were amidocarbonylated for the first time in [C6mim]PF6. A significant dependence of product yield on both substituent position and electronic effect of aromatic aldehyde was observed. The ligand-free synthetic method and convenient separation of the products highlighted the versatility of this newly developed methodology. 相似文献

BrФnsted acidic ionic liquids based on imidazolium cation were employed as efficient catalysts and mediums for the ring opening of phthalic anhydride to synthesize half-esters. Good yields, short reaction time and mild reaction condition were achieved. Lower acidity of ionic liquid resulted in higher catalytic selectivity in the synthesis of half-esters. The minimum-energy geometries of sulfonic acid-functionalized ionic liquids based on imidazolium cation revealed that their acidities and catalytic selectivity in the synthesis of half-esters were related to their structures. 相似文献
