In this paper, we present a strategy for the active manipulation of Helmholtz fields using an array (swarm) of coupling sources with prescribed fixed positions. More specifically, we consider the problem of using an array of active surface sources to approximate prescribed fields in several given exterior regions of space including possibly the far field region. In this regard, we extend the results presented in our previous works for the case of a single source to allow for multiple active sources considering the first-order mutual coupling between them. We prove the existence of boundary inputs on the sources (pressure or normal velocity), so that the desired control effect is obtained. We also devise a stable numerical scheme to compute these boundary inputs by using local basis functions defined on the source boundaries in a method of moments approach together with a Morozov discrepancy principle-based Tikhonov regularization. Several numerical simulations were presented to demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

The indentation of single crystals by a periodic array of flat rigid contacts is analyzed using discrete dislocation plasticity. Plane strain analyses are carried out with the dislocations all of edge character and modeled as line singularities in a linear elastic solid. The limiting cases of frictionless and perfectly sticking contacts are considered. The effects of contact size, dislocation source density, and dislocation obstacle density and strength on the evolution of the mean indentation pressure are explored, but the main focus is on contrasting the response of crystals having dislocation sources on the surface with that of crystals having dislocation sources in the bulk. When there are only bulk sources, the mean contact pressure for sufficiently large contacts is independent of the friction condition, whereas for sufficiently small contact sizes, there is a significant dependence on the friction condition. When there are only surface dislocation sources the mean contact pressure increases much more rapidly with indentation depth than when bulk sources are present and the mean contact pressure is very sensitive to the strength of the obstacles to dislocation glide. Also, on unloading a layer of tensile residual stress develops when surface dislocation sources dominate.  相似文献

An electroelastic analysis of a transverse isotropic piezoelectric layer with surface electrodes is made. The piezoelectric layer is infinite long along the poling direction, and the top surface is perfectly bonded to a rigid electrode. The problem is solved via the conformal mapping technique for two cases of elastic boundary conditions on the bottom surface with two spaced electrodes, and the distribution of the electrostatic field in the entire piezoelectric layer is determined in an explicit analytic form, respectively. It is found that for the bottom surface electrodes with vanishing stiffness, the induced strain is singular, but no stress. Instead, for the bottom electrodes with stiffness as infinity, the induced stress is singular, but no strain.  相似文献

A direct numerical simulation of the flow over a forward-facing step at a Reynolds number of 8000 based on the step height is presented. Calculations were performed using second-order finite volume discretisation in space on co-located meshes. A hybrid calculation approach based on Lighthill’s acoustic analogy is explained. Results of the simulation are intended to be used as a database for the validation of different discretisation schemes for the flow computation and simulation approaches for the calculation of sound radiation using a hybrid approach. Turbulent statistics are presented along with aeroacoustic source regions. Strong and weak forms of the aeroacoustic source term are presented and compared. For visualization purposes, the strong form is more suitable, whereas for the calculation of sound radiation both forms can be used. From the visualization of the aeroacoustic sources, it can be seen that they mainly concentrate on the region of the leading edge of the step and the shear layer close to the step.  相似文献

The problem of fluid motion in a cavity with rigid sidewalls that is heated uniformly from below is studied by the finite-element method. The techniques of parameter-stepping and monitoring the determinant of the Jacobian matrix to find bifurcations are used. Results are presented for width-to-height ratios in the range 1 to 4, and for three different boundary conditions on the horizontal surfaces, namely both rigid, both free, and rigid bottom with free top. The non-linear branches above the critical Rayleigh number are examined. Extensions to non-Boussinesq flow are trivial.  相似文献

The possibility of attenuation of the cross flow in the three-dimensional incompressible laminar boundary layer on a sideslipping wing under the action of body force sources simulating the time-average forces generated by a surface electric discharge is estimated. The effect of the distance between the sources and the sideslip angle of the wing on the cross flow velocity is investigated for the source intensity observed experimentally.  相似文献

A laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) technique is employed for visualizing a thin two-dimensional (2D) dissolved oxygen concentration field and measuring local oxygen concentration gradients near the surface of an oxygen bubble in water containing surfactant (Triton X-100, SigmaAldrich, St Louis, MO, USA)). The fluorescence of pyrene butyric acid (PBA) is induced by a planar pulse of nitrogen laser light. Oxygen transferring from the bubble to the deoxygenated water quenches the fluorescence of the PBA. Images of the fluorescence fields are captured by a UV-intensified CCD camera. The intensity of fluorescence quenching at each image pixel is used to measure dissolved oxygen concentration in a 2D field. Images of bubbles are obtained at 200 ppm, 100 ppm, and 50 ppm Triton X-100-containing water and in ultra clean deionized water. Higher surfactant concentrations decrease local and average concentration gradients of oxygen at the bubble surface. The ensemble means of dissolved oxygen concentration boundary layer thicknesses of 0.160 mm, 0.130 mm, and 0.072 mm, for the images of bubbles obtained at 200 ppm, 100 ppm, and 50 ppm Triton X-100-containing water, respectively. Local concentration boundary layer thickness increases from the top to the bottom along the bubble surface. A series of images of the bubble flow fields are analyzed to measure the oxygen concentration gradients in water in the presence of surfactant. The images captured in clean water are not fully resolvable because of their poor resolution. The formation of the attached wake in the fluorescence field images at the bottom of the bubbles in clean water tends to be promoted by increasing oblateness owing to the presence of surfactant at the surface.  相似文献

Kornev’s (Subsurface irrigation, Selhozgiz, Moscow-Leningrad, 1935) subsurface irrigation with a periodic array of emitting porous pipes is analytically modeled as a steady potential Darcian flow from a line source generating a phreatic surface. The hodograph method is used. The complex potential strip is mapped onto the triangle of the inverted hodograph. An analogy with the Deemter (Theoretische en numerieke behandeling van ontwaterings-en infiltratie stromings problemen (in Dutch). Theoretical and numerical treatment of flow problems connected to drainage and irrigation. Ph.D. dissertation, Delft University of Technology, 1950) drainage problem and Kidder (J Appl Phys 27(8):867–869, 1956) free-surface flow toward an array of oil wells underlain by a “wavy” oil–water interface is drawn. For a half-period of Kornev’s flow, the “wavy” phreatic surface has an inflection point. The “waviness” of the phreatic surface is controlled by the spacing between emitters, the strength of line sources, and the pipe pressure and radius. Numerical modeling with HYDRUS involved two factors which constrained the saturated–unsaturated flow: the positive pressure head at the outlet of the modeled domain and lateral no-flow boundaries, with a qualitative corroboration of analytical solutions for potential (fully saturated) and purely unsaturated flows. HYDRUS is also applied to a generalized Philip’s regime of an unsaturated flow past a subterranean hole, which is impermeable at its top and leaks at the bottom.  相似文献

应用势流理论中的格林函数方法计算了船舶定常运动的水动力参数,将有限水深Kelvin移动兴波源格林函数分解成三部分:简单Rankine源集合、局部扰动项和波函数项。在亚临界和超临界航速时,采用不同的积分顺序来消除被积函数的奇异性。利用面元法在船体表面上分布Kelvin源,计算了有限水深下船体表面的源强、压力分布及表面兴波,比较了有限与无限水深结果的区别和联系,进一步求解了船舶航行时引起的水底压力变化,计算结果与实验测量结果吻合良好。  相似文献

本文研究了牛顿流体非稳态Couette流动阶段的边界位移与流体黏性摩擦能耗.在上边界始终保持静止,下边界以恒定速度或恒定内壁剪切应力突然运动的情况下,建立了Couette非稳态流动的数学模型.求解定解问题,获得流体速度分布函数;通过渐近分析,获得不同边界条件下流动充分发展的临界时间,进而获得非稳态过程中的边界位移量.利用边界剪切应力和位移量的结果,计算非稳态过程中移动平板做功;再结合流体动能增加量,计算得出不同边界条件下非稳态流动阶段流体黏性摩擦能耗.  相似文献

From the observed behaviour of free convection at high Rayleigh number above a horizontal surface, a simple model of the temperature profile in such a region is constructed. This model is used to predict the gross properties of a layer of fluid which is heated from below. At the top boundary, the effect of replacing a rigid insulated surface by a stable layer of fluid (that is a temperature inversion) is considered. The behaviour of the region is found to depend strongly upon the boundary conditions at the base and at the top of the convection layer.  相似文献

A particle‐in‐cell (PIC) numerical method developed for the study of shallow‐water dynamics, when the moving fluid layer is laterally confined by the intersection of its top and bottom surfaces, is described. The effect of ambient rotation is included for application to geophysical fluids, particularly open‐ocean buoyant vortices in which the underlying density interface outcrops to the surface around the rim of the vortex. Extensions to include the dynamical effect of a second moving layer (baroclinicity) and the presence of a lateral rigid boundary (sidewall) are also described. In this work, the torsion of a non-linear viscoelastic slab between two infinite plates about non-coincident axes, where the top and the bottom boundary surfaces are bounded to rigid plates, is studied. The boundary-initial value problem is formulated and is solved numerically, with deformation prescribed at boundaries. The numerical procedure is such that at each time step, the problem is equivalent to a system of three coupled non-linear partial integro-differential equations for time and the displacement functions.  相似文献

The unsteady pressure field is obtained from time-resolved tomographic particle image velocimetry (Tomo-PIV) measurement within a fully developed turbulent boundary layer at free stream velocity of U ???=?9.3?m/s and Re???=?2,400. The pressure field is evaluated from the velocity fields measured by Tomo-PIV at 10?kHz invoking the momentum equation for unsteady incompressible flows. The spatial integration of the pressure gradient is conducted by solving the Poisson pressure equation with fixed boundary conditions at the outer edge of the boundary layer. The PIV-based evaluation of the pressure field is validated against simultaneous surface pressure measurement using calibrated condenser microphones mounted behind a pinhole orifice. The comparison shows agreement between the two pressure signals obtained from the Tomo-PIV and the microphones with a cross-correlation coefficient of 0.6 while their power spectral densities (PSD) overlap up to 3?kHz. The impact of several parameters governing the pressure evaluation from the PIV data is evaluated. The use of the Tomo-PIV system with the application of three-dimensional momentum equation shows higher accuracy compared to the planar version of the technique. The results show that the evaluation of the wall pressure can be conducted using a domain as small as half the boundary layer thickness (0.5??99) in both the streamwise and the wall normal directions. The combination of a correlation sliding-average technique, the Lagrangian approach to the evaluation of the material derivative and the planar integration of the Poisson pressure equation results in the best agreement with the pressure measurement of the surface microphones.  相似文献

The Stroh formalism is most elegant when the boundary conditions are simple, namely, they are prescribed in terms of traction or displacement. For mixed boundary conditions such as there for a slippery boundary, the concise matrix expressions of the Stroh formalism are destroyed. We present a generalized Stroh formalism which is applicable to a class of general boundary conditions. The general boundary conditions include the simple and slippery boundary conditions as special cases. For Green's functions for the half space, the general solution is applicable to the case when the surface of the half-space is a fixed, a free, a slippery, or other more general boundary. For the Griffith crack in the infinite space, the crack can be a slit-like crack with free surfaces, a rigid line inclusion (which is sometimes called an anticrack), or a rigid line with slippery surface or with other general surface conditions. It is worth mention that the modifications required on the Stroh formalism are minor. The generalized formalism and the final solutions look very similar to those of unmodified version. Yet the results are applicable to a rather wide range of boundary conditions.  相似文献

当边值问题是简单的,即是应力边值问题时,Stroh公式是很有效的。对于混合边值问题,倒如滑动边界条件,Stroh公式中的简洁的矩阵表达式就失效了。我们提出了一个广义的Stroh公式,它可应用于一大类一般的边界条件。简单的边界条件和滑动边界条件是这一类一般边界条件的特殊情形。值得指出的是,这个关于Stroh公式所作的修正并不大。广义的公式和最后的解答看起来很类似于未修正的原公式和原来的解。然而这个修正却可应用于相当广的边界条件。  相似文献

受地应力及压裂工艺影响, 大斜度井水力压裂缝网展布复杂, 缝网中存在不同倾斜方向、不同展布形态及不同贯穿程度的压裂缝. 本文通过将裂缝面离散为若干矩形微元实现裂缝形态有效表征, 将渗流过程划分为基质向裂缝流动及裂缝向井筒流动两阶段, 采用有限差分方法构建离散裂缝面内不稳定渗流数值解, 结合封闭边界面源函数及叠加原理构建基质内不稳定渗流解析解, 耦合裂缝内流动数值解与基质内流动解析解, 求解了三维压裂缝网不稳定压力. 基于积分中值定理提出了点源、特殊线源代替面源求解基质内渗流的求解方法, 分析了该方法的可行性及适用条件, 在保证模型精度的同时提升了计算效率. 研究表明, 在基质内采用点源函数面积分求解面源的方法可准确求解三维压裂缝网井底压力动态但计算效率极低, 基于积分中值定理的点源、特殊线源近似面源求解方法可大大提升计算效率, 且在裂缝微元划分较为精细(微元无因次边长小于0.15)时可取得较高精度, 基于该模型分析了裂缝导流能力、裂缝倾角、裂缝高度及裂缝段间距对压裂大斜度井典型试井曲线的影响.   相似文献

Two-dimensional solitary waves generated by disturbances moving near the critical speed in shallow water are computed by a time-stepping procedure combined with a desingularized boundary integral method for irrotational flow. The fully non-linear kinematic and dynamic free-surface boundary conditions and the exact rigid body surface condition are employed. Three types of moving disturbances are considered: a pressure on the free surface, a change in bottom topography and a submerged cylinder. The results for the free surface pressure are compared to the results computed using a lower-dimensional model, i.e. the forced Korteweg–de Vries (fKdV) equation. The fully non-linear model predicts the upstream runaway solitons for all three types of disturbances moving near the critical speed. The predictions agree with those by the fKdV equation for a weak pressure disturbance. For a strong disturbance, the fully non-linear model predicts larger solitons than the fKdV equation. The fully non-linear calculations show that a free surface pressure generates significantly larger waves than that for a bottom bump with an identical non-dimensional forcing function in the fKdV equation. These waves can be very steep and break either upstream or downstream of the disturbance.  相似文献
