This research deals with the determination of solubility, Hansen solubility parameters, dissolution properties, enthalpy–entropy compensation, and computational modeling of a naturally-derived bioactive compound trans-resveratrol (TRV) in water, methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, n-butanol, propylene glycol (PG), and various PG + water mixtures. The solubility of TRV in six different mono-solvents and various PG + water mixtures was determined at 298.2–318.2 K and 0.1 MPa. The measured experimental solubility values of TRV were regressed using six different computational/theoretical models, including van’t Hoff, Apelblat, Buchowski–Ksiazczak λh, Yalkowsly–Roseman, Jouyban–Acree, and van’t Hoff–Jouyban–Acree models, with average uncertainties of less than 3.0%. The maxima of TRV solubility in mole fraction was obtained in neat PG (2.62 × 10−2) at 318.2 K. However, the minima of TRV solubility in the mole fraction was recorded in neat water (3.12 × 10−6) at 298.2 K. Thermodynamic calculation of TRV dissolution properties suggested an endothermic and entropy-driven dissolution of TRV in all studied mono-solvents and various PG + water mixtures. Solvation behavior evaluation indicated an enthalpy-driven mechanism as the main mechanism for TRV solvation. Based on these data and observations, PG has been chosen as the best mono-solvent for TRV solubilization.  相似文献

Between 293.2 and 313.2 K and at 0.1 MPa, the solubility of the weak base, cinnarizine (CNZ) (3), in various {Transcutol-P (TP) (1) + water (2)} combinations is reported. The Hansen solubility parameters (HSP) of CNZ and various {(TP) (1) + water (2)} mixtures free of CNZ were also predicted using HSPiP software. Five distinct cosolvency-based mathematical models were used to link the experimentally determined solubility data of CNZ. The solubility of CNZ in mole fraction was increased with elevated temperature and TP mass fraction in {(TP) (1) + water (2)} combinations. The maximum solubility of CNZ in mole fraction was achieved in neat TP (5.83 × 10−2 at 313.2 K) followed by the minimum in neat water (3.91 × 10−8 at 293.2 K). The values of mean percent deviation (MPD) were estimated as 2.27%, 5.15%, 27.76%, 1.24% and 1.52% for the “Apelblat, van’t Hoff, Yalkowsky–Roseman, Jouyban–Acree, and Jouyban–Acree–van’t Hoff models”, respectively, indicating good correlations. The HSP value of CNZ was closed with that of neat TP, suggesting the maximum solubilization of CNZ in TP compared with neat water and other aqueous mixtures of TP and water. The outcomes of the apparent thermodynamic analysis revealed that CNZ dissolution was endothermic and entropy-driven in all of the {(TP) (1) + water (2)} systems investigated. For {(TP) (1) + water (2)} mixtures, the enthalpy-driven mechanism was determined to be the driven mechanism for CNZ solvation. TP has great potential for solubilizing the weak base, CNZ, in water, as demonstrated by these results.  相似文献

The solubility parameters, and solution thermodynamics of temozolomide (TMZ) in 10 frequently used solvents were examined at five different temperatures. The maximum mole fraction solubility of TMZ was ascertained in dimethyl sulfoxide (1.35 × 10−2), followed by that in polyethylene glycol-400 (3.32 × 10−3) > Transcutol® (2.89 × 10−3) > ethylene glycol (1.64 × 10−3) > propylene glycol (1.47 × 10−3) > H2O (7.70 × 10−4) > ethyl acetate (5.44 × 10−4) > ethanol (1.80 × 10−4) > isopropyl alcohol (1.32 × 10−4) > 1-butanol (1.07 × 10−4) at 323.2 K. An analogous pattern was also observed for the other investigated temperatures. The quantitated TMZ solubility values were regressed using Apelblat and Van’t Hoff models and showed overall deviances of 0.96% and 1.33%, respectively. Apparent thermodynamic analysis indicated endothermic, spontaneous, and entropy-driven dissolution of TMZ in all solvents. TMZ solubility data may help to formulate dosage forms, recrystallize, purify, and extract/separate TMZ.  相似文献

This study examines the solubility and thermodynamics of febuxostat (FBX) in a variety of mono solvents, including “water, methanol (MeOH), ethanol (EtOH), isopropanol (IPA), 1-butanol (1-BuOH), 2-butanol (2-BuOH), ethylene glycol (EG), propylene glycol (PG), polyethylene glycol-400 (PEG-400), ethyl acetate (EA), Transcutol-HP (THP), and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)” at 298.2–318.2 K and 101.1 kPa. The solubility of FBX was determined using a shake flask method and correlated with “van’t Hoff, Buchowski-Ksiazczak λh, and Apelblat models”. The overall error values for van’t Hoff, Buchowski-Ksiazczak λh, and Apelblat models was recorded to be 1.60, 2.86, and 1.14%, respectively. The maximum mole fraction solubility of FBX was 3.06 × 10−2 in PEG-400 at 318.2 K, however the least one was 1.97 × 10−7 in water at 298.2 K. The FBX solubility increased with temperature and the order followed in different mono solvents was PEG-400 (3.06 × 10−2) > THP (1.70 × 10−2) > 2-BuOH (1.38 × 10−2) > 1-BuOH (1.37 × 10−2) > IPA (1.10 × 10−2) > EtOH (8.37 × 10−3) > EA (8.31 × 10−3) > DMSO (7.35 × 10−3) > MeOH (3.26 × 10−3) > PG (1.88 × 10−3) > EG (1.31 × 10−3) > water (1.14 × 10−6) at 318.2 K. Compared to the other combinations of FBX and mono solvents, FBX-PEG-400 had the strongest solute-solvent interactions. The apparent thermodynamic analysis revealed that FBX dissolution was “endothermic and entropy-driven” in all mono solvents investigated. Based on these findings, PEG-400 appears to be the optimal co-solvent for FBX solubility.  相似文献

This article studies the solubility, Hansen solubility parameters (HSPs), and thermodynamic behavior of a naturally-derived bioactive thymoquinone (TQ) in different binary combinations of isopropanol (IPA) and water (H2O). The mole fraction solubilities (x3) of TQ in various (IPA + H2O) compositions are measured at 298.2–318.2 K and 0.1 MPa. The HSPs of TQ, neat IPA, neat H2O, and binary (IPA + H2O) compositions free of TQ are also determined. The x3 data of TQ are regressed by van’t Hoff, Apelblat, Yalkowsky–Roseman, Buchowski–Ksiazczak λh, Jouyban–Acree, and Jouyban–Acree–van’t Hoff models. The maximum and minimum x3 values of TQ are recorded in neat IPA (7.63 × 10−2 at 318.2 K) and neat H2O (8.25 × 10−5 at 298.2 K), respectively. The solubility of TQ is recorded as increasing with the rise in temperature and IPA mass fraction in all (IPA + H2O) mixtures, including pure IPA and pure H2O. The HSP of TQ is similar to that of pure IPA, suggesting the great potential of IPA in TQ solubilization. The maximum molecular solute-solvent interactions are found in TQ-IPA compared to TQ-H2O. A thermodynamic study indicates an endothermic and entropy-driven dissolution of TQ in all (IPA + H2O) mixtures, including pure IPA and pure H2O.  相似文献

The solubility of glibenclamide was evaluated in DMSO, NMP, 1,4-dioxane, PEG 400, Transcutol® HP, water, and aqueous mixtures (T = 293.15~323.15 K). It was then recrystallized to solvate and compressed into tablets, of which 30-day stability and dissolution was studied. It had a higher solubility in 1,4-dioxane, DMSO, NMP (Xexp = 2.30 × 103, 3.08 × 104, 2.90 × 104) at 323.15 K, its mixture (Xexp = 1.93 × 103, 1.89 × 104, 1.58 × 104) at 298.15 K, and 1,4-dioxane (w) + water (1−w) mixture ratio of w = 0.8 (Xexp = 3.74 × 103) at 323.15 K. Modified Apelblat (RMSD ≤ 0.519) and CNIBS/R-K model (RMSD ≤ 0.358) suggested good comparability with the experimental solubility. The minimum value of ΔG° vs ΔH° at 0.70 < x2 < 0.80 suggested higher solubility at that molar concentration. Based on the solubility, it was recrystallized into the solvate, which was granulated and compressed into tablets. Among the studied solvates, the tablets of glibenclamide dioxane solvate had a higher initial (95.51%) and 30-day (93.74%) dissolution compared to glibenclamide reference (28.93%). There was no stability issue even after granulation, drying, or at pH 7.4. Thus, glibenclamide dioxane solvate could be an alternative form to improve the molecule’s properties.  相似文献

The solubility of dehydroabietic acid in (−)-α-pinene, p-cymene, (−)-β-caryophyllene, (−)-α-pinene + p-cymene, (−)-β-caryophyllene + p-cymene and (−)-α-pinene + (−)-β-caryophyllene were determined using the laser monitoring method at atmospheric pressure. The solubility of dehydroabietic acid was positively correlated with temperature from 295.15 to 339.46 K. (−)-α-pinene, p-cymene, and (−)-β-caryophyllene were found to be suitable for the solubilization of dehydroabietic acid. In addition, the non-random two liquid (NRTL), universal quasi-chemical (UNIQUAC), modified Apelblat, modified Wilson, modified Wilson–van’t Hoff, and λh models were applied to correlate the determined solubility data. The modified Apelblat model gave the minor deviation for dehydroabietic acid in monosolvents, while the λh equation showed the best result in the binary solvents. A comparative analysis of compatibility between solutes and solvents was carried out using Hansen solubility parameters. The thermodynamic functions of ΔsolH0, ΔsolS0, ΔsolG0 were calculated according to the van’t Hoff equation, indicating that the dissolution was an entropy-driven heat absorption process. The Conductor-like Screening Model for Real Solvents (COSMO-RS) combined with an experimental value was applied to predict the reasonable solubility data of dehydroabietic acid in the selected solvents systems. The interaction energy of the dehydroabietic acid with the solvent was analyzed by COSMO-RS.  相似文献

A temperature dependence of saturated vapor pressure of isavuconazole (IVZ), an antimycotic drug, was found by using the method of inert gas-carrier transfer and the thermodynamic functions of sublimation were calculated at a temperature of 298.15 K. The value of the compound standard molar enthalpy of sublimation was found to be 138.1 ± 0.5 kJ·mol−1. The IVZ thermophysical properties—melting point and enthalpy—equaled 302.7 K and 29.9 kJ mol−1, respectively. The isothermal saturation method was used to determine the drug solubility in seven pharmaceutically relevant solvents within the temperature range from 293.15 to 313.15 K. The IVZ solubility in the studied solvents increased in the following order: buffer pH 7.4, buffer pH 2.0, buffer pH 1.2, hexane, 1-octanol, 1-propanol, ethanol. Depending on the solvent chemical nature, the compound solubility varied from 6.7 × 10−6 to 0.3 mol·L−1. The Hansen s approach was used for evaluating and analyzing the solubility data of drug. The results show that this model well-described intermolecular interactions in the solutions studied. It was established that in comparison with the van’t Hoff model, the modified Apelblat one ensured the best correlation with the experimental solubility data of the studied drug. The activity coefficients at infinite dilution and dissolution excess thermodynamic functions of IVZ were calculated in each of the solvents. Temperature dependences of the compound partition coefficients were obtained in a binary 1-octanol/buffer pH 7.4 system and the transfer thermodynamic functions were calculated. The drug distribution from the aqueous solution to the organic medium was found to be spontaneous and entropy-driven.  相似文献

Bopu powder® and Sangrovit® were developed from Macleaya cordata and are widely used in agriculture and animal husbandry, but their impurities have been rarely reported in the literature. Impurity analysis is of great importance to the quality and safety of veterinary drugs. In this study, high-performance liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-Q-TOF-MS) combined with a screening method was used to screen and characterize the impurities in Bopu powder® and Sangrovit®. A total of 58 impurities were screened from Bopu powder® and Sangrovit® using the screening strategies, of which 39 were identified by their accurate m/z value, characteristic MS/MS data, and fragmentation pathways of references. This established method was used for impurity analysis for the first time and proved to be a useful and rapid tool to screen and identify the impurities of Bopu powder® and Sangrovit®, especially for those at trace levels in a complex sample. In addition, this study marks the first comprehensive research into impurities in these two products and has great significance for the systematic detection of impurities in other plant-derived drugs.  相似文献

DSC purity assay by melting point between has had a limited range of less than several percent impurities. Step-mode heating techniques have increased the range to 6–8%. However, empirical corrections were used to linearize the purity slope of the van't Hoff plot, temperatures vs. reciprocal of fraction melted (1/F).A unique feature common to all dynamic purity scans has been discovered which matches a point on the non-linear van't Hoff plot to the heating rate. This point, or reciprocal of the melt fraction (1/F), occurs where the melting rate has attained maximum acceleration. The melting rate at this point is used as a tangential straight line projection from the curve to become a function of mole % impurity. The melting rate at maximum acceleration is independent of reference material, heating rate, sample size, thermal conductivity, or specific heat.Phenacetin, spiked with 50 mole % benzamide, has been measured to ±2 mole % at heating rate of 5 and 10°C min?1; the restriction on upper detection limits is adequate resolution between preliminary eutectic events and the final melt. Impurities in indium, with a reported purity of 99.9999%, have been measured at 4 × 10?5 mole % by this technique.  相似文献

The membrane is a crucial component of Zn slurry–air flow battery since it provides ionic conductivity between the electrodes while avoiding the mixing of the two compartments. Herein, six commercial membranes (Cellophane™ 350PØØ, Zirfon®, Fumatech® PBI, Celgard® 3501, 3401 and 5550) were first characterized in terms of electrolyte uptake, ion conductivity and zincate ion crossover, and tested in Zn slurry–air flow battery. The peak power density of the battery employing the membranes was found to depend on the in-situ cell resistance. Among them, the cell using Celgard® 3501 membrane, with in-situ area resistance of 2 Ω cm2 at room temperature displayed the highest peak power density (90 mW cm−2). However, due to the porous nature of most of these membranes, a significant crossover of zincate ions was observed. To address this issue, an ion-selective ionomer containing modified poly(phenylene oxide) (PPO) and N-spirocyclic quaternary ammonium monomer was coated on a Celgard® 3501 membrane and crosslinked via UV irradiation (PPO-3.45 + 3501). Moreover, commercial FAA-3 solutions (FAA, Fumatech) were coated for comparison purpose. The successful impregnation of the membrane with the anion-exchange polymers was confirmed by SEM, FTIR and Hg porosimetry. The PPO-3.45 + 3501 membrane exhibited 18 times lower zincate ions crossover compared to that of the pristine membrane (5.2 × 10−13 vs. 9.2 × 10−12 m2 s−1). With low zincate ions crossover and a peak power density of 66 mW cm−2, the prepared membrane is a suitable candidate for rechargeable Zn slurry–air flow batteries.  相似文献

Dyglomera® is an aqueous ethanol extract of the fruit pods of Dichrostachys glomerata, a Cameroonian spice. Several studies have shown its anti-diabetic and anti-obesity effects. However, the underlying mechanisms for such effects remain unclear. Thus, the objective of this study was to investigate the anti-obesity effect of Dyglomera® and its underlying mechanisms in mice with high-fat diet-induced obesity and 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Our results revealed that Dyglomera® inhibited adipogenesis and lipogenesis by regulating AMPK phosphorylation in white adipose tissues (WATs) and 3T3-L1 adipocytes and promoted lipolysis by increasing the expression of lipolysis-related proteins. These results suggest that Dyglomera® can be used as an effective dietary supplement for treating obesity due to its modulating effect on adipogenesis/lipogenesis and lipolysis.  相似文献

The FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) has approved only a negligible number of poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA)-based microsphere formulations, indicating the difficulty in developing a PLGA microsphere. A thorough understanding of microsphere formulations is essential to meet the challenge of developing innovative or generic microspheres. In this study, the key factors, especially the key process factors of the marketed PLGA microspheres, were revealed for the first time via a reverse engineering study on Vivitrol® and verified by the development of a generic naltrexone-loaded microsphere (GNM). Qualitative and quantitative similarity with Vivitrol®, in terms of inactive ingredients, was accomplished by the determination of PLGA. Physicochemical characterization of Vivitrol® helped to identify the critical process parameters in each manufacturing step. After being prepared according to the process parameters revealed by reverse engineering, the GNM demonstrated similarity to Vivitrol® in terms of quality attributes and in vitro release (f2 = 65.3). The research on the development of bioequivalent microspheres based on the similar technology of Vivitrol® will benefit the development of other generic or innovative microspheres.  相似文献

Taurine is one of the main ingredients used in energy drinks which are highly consumed in adolescents for their sugary taste and stimulating effect. With energy drinks becoming a worldwide phenomenon, the biological effects of these beverages must be evaluated in order to fully comprehend the potential impact of these products on the health due to the fact nutrition is closely related to science since the population consumes food to prevent certain diseases. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the biological effects of taurine, glucose, classic Red Bull® and sugar-free Red Bull® in order to check the food safety and the nutraceutical potential of these compounds, characterising different endpoints: (i) Toxicology, antitoxicology, genotoxicology and life expectancy assays were performed in the Drosophila melanogaster model organism; (ii) The in vitro chemopreventive activity of testing compounds was determined by assessing their cytotoxicity, the proapoptotic DNA-damage capability to induce internucleosomal fragmentation, the strand breaks activity and the modulator role on the methylation status of genomic repetitive sequences of HL-60 promyelocytic cells. Whereas none tested compounds showed toxic or genotoxic effect, all tested compounds exerted antitoxic and antigenotoxic activity in Drosophila. Glucose, classic Red Bull® and sugar-free Red Bull® were cytotoxic in HL-60 cell line. Classic Red Bull® induced DNA internucleosomal fragmentation although none of them exhibited DNA damage on human leukaemia cells. In conclusion, the tested compounds are safe on Drosophila melanogaster and classic Red Bull® could overall possess nutraceutical potential in the in vivo and in vitro model used in this study. Besides, taurine could holistically be one of the bioactive compounds responsible for the biological activity of classic Red Bull®.  相似文献

The supply of nutrients, such as antioxidant agents, to fish cells still represents a challenge in aquaculture. In this context, we investigated solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) composed of a combination of Gelucire® 50/13 and Precirol® ATO5 to administer a grape seed extract (GSE) mixture containing several antioxidant compounds. The combination of the two lipids for the SLN formation resulted in colloids exhibiting mean particle sizes in the range 139–283 nm and zeta potential values in the range +25.6–43.4 mV. Raman spectra and X-ray diffraction evidenced structural differences between the free GSE and GSE-loaded SLN, leading to the conclusion that GSE alters the structure of the lipid nanocarriers. From a biological viewpoint, cell lines from gilthead seabream and European sea bass were exposed to different concentrations of GSE-SLN for 24 h. In general, at appropriate concentrations, GSE-SLN increased the viability of the fish cells. Furthermore, regarding the gene expression in those cells, the expression of antioxidant genes was upregulated, whereas the expression of hsp70 and other genes related to the cytoskeleton was downregulated. Hence, an SLN formulation containing Gelucire® 50/13/Precirol® ATO5 and GSE may represent a compelling platform for improving the viability and antioxidant properties of fish cells.  相似文献

Wuliangye baijiu is one of the most famous Chinese liquors with a protected geographical indication. This study used LiChrolut® EN-based solid-phase extraction (SPE) and fractionation combined with comprehensive two-dimensional chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC-TOFMS) to unveil its volatile composition. The volatiles were isolated with LiChrolut® EN-based SPE and traditional liquid-liquid extraction (LLE). The neutral/basic fractions from LLE and the SPE were fractionated on a LiChrolut® EN SPE column and analyzed by comprehensive GC×GC-TOFMS. Compared with LLE, more esters and alcohols were detected in the SPE-based extraction. The SPE fractionation and GC×GC-TOFMS analysis resulted in the identification of about 500 volatile compounds in more than 3000 peaks of the Wuliangye baijiu. The approach simplifies the complex baijiu composition into functional group-based fractions for reliable identification and analysis. This study provided a confidence volatile identification approach for Chinese baijiu based on the SPE fractionation GC×GC-TOFMS.  相似文献

Hot-melt extrusion (HME) has great advantages for the preparation of solid dispersion (SD), for instance, it does not require any organic solvents. Nevertheless, its application to high-melting-point and thermosensitive drugs has been rarely reported. In this study, thermally unstable curcumin (Cur) was used as a drug model. The HME process was systematically studied by adjusting the gradient temperature mode and residence time, with the content, crystallinity and dissolution of Cur as the investigated factors. The effects of barrel temperature, screw speed and cooling rate on HME were also examined. Solubility parameters and the Flory–Huggins method were used to evaluate the miscibility between Cur and carriers. Differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, equilibrium solubility and in vitro and in vivo experiments were used to characterize and evaluate the results. An amorphous Cur SD was successfully obtained, increasing the solubility and release of Cur. In the optimal process, the mass ratio of Cur to Eudragit® E PO (EPO) was 1:4 and the barrel temperature was set at a gradient heating mode (130 °C–135 °C–140 °C–145 °C–150 °C–155 °C–160 °C) at 100 rpm. Related pharmacokinetic test results also showed the improved bioavailability of the drug in rats. In a pharmacodynamic analysis of Sprague–Dawley rats, the Cmax and the bioavailability of the Cur-EPO SD were 2.6 and 1.5 times higher than those of Cur, respectively. The preparation of the amorphous SD not only provided more solubility but also improved the bioavailability of Cur, which provides an effective way to improve the bioavailability of BCS II drugs.  相似文献

The studies on the adsorption properties and composition of the adsorbed monolayer at the water–air interface of the binary Kolliphor® ELP (ELP) and Kolliphor® RH 40 (RH40) mixtures based on the measurements of the surface tension (γLV) of their aqueous solution in the temperature range from 293 to 318 K were carried out. The γLV isotherms were described by the exponential function of the second order and the Szyszkowski equation as well as predicted by Fainerman and Miller equation. The obtained γLV isotherms were analyzed using the exponential function of the second order, the Szyszkowski, Fainerman and Miller as well as independent adsorption equations. The γLV isotherms were also used for determination of the Gibbs surface excess concentration of RH40, ELP and their mixture (Γ) at the water–air interface as well as the mixed monolayer composition. Based on Γ and the constant a in the Szyszkowski equation, the standard thermodynamic functions of adsorption were considered. From the consideration dealing with the γLV isotherms obtained by us, it results, among others, that these isotherms for the non-ideal solution of macromolecular surfactants mixture can be predicted using the Fainerman and Miller equation. From this consideration, it also results that a simple method proposed by us, based on the isotherms of RH40 and ELP, allows us to predict the composition of their mixed monolayer in the whole concentration range of RH40 and ELP in the bulk phase.  相似文献

Post-modification of a series of NCN-pincer platinum(II) complexes [PtX(NCN-R-4)] (NCN = [C6H2(CH2NMe2)2-2,6], R = C(O)H, C(O)Me and C(O)Et), X = Cl or Br) at the para-position using the McMurry reaction was studied. The synthetic route towards two new [PtCl(NCN-R-4)] (R = C(O)Me and C(O)Et) complexes used above is likewise described. The utility and limitations of the McMurry reaction involving these pincer complexes was systematically evaluated. The predicted “homo-coupling” reaction of [PtBr(NCN-C(O)H-4)] led to the unexpected formation of 3,3′,5,5′-tetra[(dimethylamino)methyl]-4,4′-bis(platinum halide)-benzophenone (halide = Br or Cl), referred to hereafter as the bispincer-benzophenone complex 13. This material was further characterized using X-ray crystal structure determination. The applicability of the pincer complexes in the McMurry reaction is shown to open a route towards the synthesis of tamoxifen-type derivatives of which one phenyl ring of Tamoxifen® itself is replaced by an NCN arylplatinum pincer fragment. The newly synthesized derivatives can be used as potential candidates in anti-cancer drug screening protocols. Two NCN-arylpincer platinum tamoxifen type derivatives, 5 and 6, were successfully synthesized and of 5 the separation of the diastereomeric E-/Z-forms was achieved. Compound 6, which is the pivaloyl protected NCN pincer platinum hydroxy-Tamoxifen® derivative, was obtained as a mixture of E-/Z-isomers. The new derivatives were further analyzed and characterized with 1H-, 13C{1H}- and 195Pt{1H}-NMR, IR, exact mass MS and elemental analysis.  相似文献

The aim of the present work is the synthesis and characterization of new perfluorinated monomers bearing, similarly to Nafion®, acidic groups for proton transport for potential and future applications in proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells. To this end, we focused our attention on the synthesis of various molecules with (i) sufficient volatility to be used in vacuum polymerization techniques (e.g., PECVD)), (ii) sulfonic, phosphonic, or carboxylic acid functionalities for proton transport capacity of the resulting membrane, (iii) both aliphatic and aromatic perfluorinated tags to diversify the membrane polarity with respect to Nafion®, and (iv) a double bond to facilitate the polymerization under vacuum giving a preferential way for the chain growth of the polymer. A retrosynthetic approach persuaded us to attempt three main synthetic strategies: (a) organometallic Heck-type cross-coupling, (b) nucleophilic displacement, and (c) Wittig–Horner reaction (carbanion approach). Preliminary results on the plasma deposition of a polymeric film are also presented. The variation of plasma conditions allowed us to point out that the film prepared in the mildest settings (20 W) shows the maximum monomer retention in its structure. In this condition, plasma polymerization likely occurs mainly by rupture of the π bond in the monomer molecule.  相似文献
