It is shown that there exist analytic self-maps ϕ of the unit disc inducing compact composition operators on the Hardy space , 1 ≤ p < ∞ such that the Hausdorff dimension of the set is one; sharpening a classical result due to Schwartz. Moreover, the same holds in the weighted Dirichlet spaces with 0 < α < 1. As a consequence, we deduce that there exist symbols ϕ inducing compact composition operators on such that the α-capacity of Eϕ is positive, which is no longer true for those just inducing Hilbert-Schmidt composition operators on . Hausdorff operator is an important operator raised from the dilation on Euclidean space and rooted in the classical summability of number series and Fourier series. It is also connected to many well known operators in real and complex analysis. This article is a survey of some recent developments and extensions on the Hausdorff operator. The well-known Skitovich-Darmois theorem asserts that a Gaussian distribution is characterized by the independence of two linear forms of independent random variables. The similar result was proved by Heyde, where instead of the independence, the symmetry of the conditional distribution of one linear form given another was considered. In this article we prove that the Heyde theorem on a locally compact Abelian group X remains true if and only if X contains no elements of order two. We describe also all distributions on the two-dimensional torus which are characterized by the symmetry of the conditional distribution of one linear form given another. In so doing we assume that the coefficients of the forms are topological automorphisms of X and the characteristic functions of the considering random variables do not vanish.  相似文献

Let be an ample line bundle over a complex abelian variety . We show that the space of all global sections over of and are both of dimension one. Using this it is shown that the moduli space of rank one holomorphic connections on a compact Riemann surface does not admit any nonconstant algebraic function. On the other hand, is biholomorphic to the moduli space of characters of , which is an affine variety. So is algebraically distinct from the character variety if is of genus at least one.

In this paper,by introducing the space with weak mixed norms,weak type estimates of two kinds of multilinear fractional Hausdorff operators RΦ,β and SΦ,β on Lebesgue spaces are shown.By virtue of Marcinkiewicz interpolation,strong type estimates of these two operators on Lebesgue spaces are also obtained.Our methods shed some new light on dealing with the case of non-radial function Φ.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the high-dimensional and multilinear Hausdorff operators on the Heisenberg group H n. The sharp bounds for the strong type(p, p)(1 ≤ p ≤∞) estimates of n-dimensional Hausdorff operators on H n are obtained. The sharp bounds for strong(p, p) estimates are further extended to multilinear cases. As an application, we derive the sharp constant for the multilinear Hardy operator on H n. The weak type(p, p)(1 ≤ p ≤∞) estimates are also obtained.  相似文献

We extend previous results on noncommutative recurrence in unital *-algebras over the integers to the case where one works over locally compact Hausdorff groups. We derive a generalization of Khintchine's recurrence theorem, as well as a form of multiple recurrence. This is done using the mean ergodic theorem in Hilbert space, via the GNS construction.  相似文献

We prove a group analogue of the well-known Heyde theorem where a Gaussian measure is characterized by the symmetry of the conditional distribution of one linear form given another. A pro-Lie group is a projective limit of a projective system of finite dimensional Lie groups. A prodiscrete group is a complete abelian topological group in which the open normal subgroups form a basis of the filter of identity neighborhoods. It is shown here that an abelian pro-Lie group is a product of (in general infinitely many) copies of the additive topological group of reals and of an abelian pro-Lie group of a special type; this last factor has a compact connected component, and a characteristic closed subgroup which is a union of all compact subgroups; the factor group modulo this subgroup is pro-discrete and free of nonsingleton compact subgroups. Accordingly, a connected abelian pro-Lie group is a product of a family of copies of the reals and a compact connected abelian group. A topological group is called compactly generated if it is algebraically generated by a compact subset, and a group is called almost connected if the factor group modulo its identity component is compact. It is further shown that a compactly generated abelian pro-Lie group has a characteristic almost connected locally compact subgroup which is a product of a finite number of copies of the reals and a compact abelian group such that the factor group modulo this characteristic subgroup is a compactly generated prodiscrete group without nontrivial compact subgroups.Mathematics Subject Classification (1991): 22B, 22E  相似文献

In this paper, we study two different extensions of the Hausdorff operator to the multilinear case. Boundedness on Lebesgue spaces and Herz spaces is obtained. The bound on the Lebesgue space is optimal. Our results are substantial extensions of some known results on Multilinear high dimensional Hardy operator.  相似文献
