We define an equivariant K 0-theory for Yetter–Drinfeld algebras over a Hopf algebra with an invertible antipode. We then show that this definition can be generalized to all Hopf-module algebras. We show that there exists a pairing, generalizing Connes pairing, between this theory and a suitably defined Hopf algebra equivariant cyclic cohomology theory.  相似文献

Let X be a topological space upon which a compact connected Lie group G acts. It is well known that the equivariant cohomology H * G (X; Q) is isomorphic to the subalgebra of Weyl group invariants of the equivariant cohomology H * T (X; Q), where T is a maximal torus of G. This relationship breaks down for coefficient rings k other than Q. Instead, we prove that under a mild condition on k the algebra H * G (X; k) is isomorphic to the subalgebra of H * T (X; k) annihilated by the divided difference operators.  相似文献

A conjecture is formulated which relates the equivariant localepsilon constant of a Galois extension of p-adic fields to anatural algebraic invariant coming from étale cohomology.Some evidence for the conjecture is provided and its relationto a conjecture for the equivariant global epsilon constantof an extension of number fields formulated by Bley and Burnsis established.  相似文献

An explicit formula is given for the graded trace of a permutation acting on the cohomology of the space of configurations of n ordered distinct points of Rd. In this work, we study the special properties of the equivariant singular cohomology of a G-space X, where G is a totally disconnected, locally compact group. We prove that any short exact sequence of coefficient systems for G, over a ring R, gives a long exact sequence of the associated equivariant singular cohomology modules. We establish the relationship between the ordinary singular cohomology modules and the equivariant singular cohomology modules with the natural contravariant coefficient system. Moreover, under some conditions, we give an isomorphism of the equivariant singular cohomology modules of the G-space X onto the ordinary singular cohomology modules of the orbit space X/G.  相似文献

We study the quantum cohomology of (co)minuscule homogeneous varieties under a unified perspective. We show that three points Gromov–Witten invariants can always be interpreted as classical intersection numbers on auxiliary varieties. Our main combinatorial tools are certain quivers, in terms of which we obtain a quantum Chevalley formula and a higher quantum Poincaré duality. In particular, we compute the quantum cohomology of the two exceptional minuscule homogeneous varieties. DOI: .  相似文献

We obtain a necessary condition for a cohomology class on a compact locally symmetric space S()=X (a quotient of a symmetric space X of the non-compact type by a cocompact arithmetic subgroup of isometries of X) to restrict non-trivially to a compact locally symmetric subspace S H()=Y of X. The restriction is in a 'virtual' sense, i.e. it is the restriction of possibly a translate of the cohomology class under a Hecke correspondence. As a consequence we deduce that when X and Y are the unit balls in n and m , then low degree cohomology classes on the variety S() restrict non-trivially to the subvariety S H (); this proves a conjecture of M. Harris and J-S. Li. We also deduce the non-vanishing of cup-products of cohomology classes for the variety S().  相似文献

For an algebra with an action of a Hopf algebra we establish the pairing between equivariant cyclic cohomology and equivariant K-theory for . We then extend this formalism to compact quantum group actions and show that equivariant cyclic cohomology is a target space for the equivariant Chern character of equivariant summable Fredholm modules. We prove an analogue of Julg's theorem relating equivariant K-theory to ordinary K-theory of the C*-algebra crossed product, and characterize equivariant vector bundles on quantum homogeneous spaces.  相似文献

Here we construct for each positive integer N a representation of this 2-category using the equivariant cohomology of iterated flag varieties. We use a theorem of S. Tolman and J. Weitsman (The cohomology rings of Abelian symplectic quotients, math. DG/9807173) to find explicit formulæ for the rational cohomology rings of the symplectic reduction of flag varieties in n, or generic coadjoint orbits of SU(n), by (maximal) torus actions. We also calculate the cohomology ring of the moduli space of n points in Pk, which is isomorphic to the Grassmannian of k planes in n, by realizing it as a degenerate coadjoint orbit.  相似文献

The integral cohomology rings of the configuration spaces ofn-tuples of distinct points on arbitrary surfaces (not necessarilyorientable, not necessarily compact and possibly with boundary)are studied. It is shown that for punctured surfaces the cohomologyrings stabilize as the number of points tends to infinity, similarlyto the case of configuration spaces on the plane studied byArnold, and the Goryunov splitting formula relating the cohomologygroups of configuration spaces on the plane and punctured planeto arbitrary punctured surfaces is generalized. The authors introduce a kind of slowly increasing cohomology HS*(X) for a discrete metric space X with polynomial growth,and construct a character map from the slowly increasing cohomology HS*(X) into HC*cont(S(X)),the continuous cyclic cohomology of the smooth subalgebra S(X) of the uniform Roe algebra B*(X).As an application,it is shown that the fundamental cocycle,associated with a uniformly contractible complete Riemannian manifold M with polynomial volume growth and polynomial contractibility radius growth,is slowly increasing.  相似文献
