Conformal biderivations of loop W (a,b) Lie conformal algebra

We study conformal biderivations of a Lie conformal algebra. First, we give the definition of a conformal biderivation. Next, we determine the conformal biderivations of loop W(a, b) Lie conformal algebra, loop Virasoro Lie conformal algebra, and Virasoro Lie conformal algebra. Especially, all conformal biderivations on Virasoro Lie conformal algebra are inner conformal biderivations.     

A strong constructive version of engel's theorem

We examine two problems in the computational theory of Lie algebras. First, we prove a constructive version of Engel's theorem: if L is a finite-dimensional Lie algebra that is not nilpotent, we show how to construct an element x in L such that the linear transformation ad x is not nilpotent. No special assumptions about the underlying field are needed. Second, as an important application of the first result, we give an algorithm for the construction of a Cartan subalgebra of a finite-dimensional Lie algebra. This solves the problem of finding a totally constructive proof of the existence of a Cartan subalgebra, posed by Beck, Kolman, and Stewart in the paper "Computing the Structure of a Lie Algebra". Our proofs are ordinary mathematical proofs that do not employ the general law of excluded middle. The advantage of this approach to mathematics is that our proofs, which are not burdened or obscured by the details of a particular programming language, can nevertheless be routinely turned into computer programs     

Cohomology of Lie Conformal Algebra Vir × Cur g

In this article,we compute cohomology groups of the semisimple Lie conformal algebra S =Vir × Cur g with coefficients in its irreducible modules for a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra g.

Invertible Linear Maps on Simple Lie Algebras Preserving Solvability

Let 𝔤 be a (finite-dimensional) complex simple Lie algebra of rank l. An invertible linear map ? on 𝔤 is said to preserve solvability in both directions if ?, as well as ?^?1, sends every solvable subalgebra to some solvable one. In this article, it is shown that an invertible linear map ? on 𝔤 preserves solvability in both directions if and only if it can be decomposed into the product of an inner automorphism, a graph automorphism, a scalar multiplication map and a diagonal automorphism.     

Novikov algebras and Novikov structures on Lie algebras

We study ideals of Novikov algebras and Novikov structures on finite-dimensional Lie algebras. We present the first example of a three-step nilpotent Lie algebra which does not admit a Novikov structure. On the other hand we show that any free three-step nilpotent Lie algebra admits a Novikov structure. We study the existence question also for Lie algebras of triangular matrices. Finally we show that there are families of Lie algebras of arbitrary high solvability class which admit Novikov structures.     

Cohomology of Oriented Tree Diagram Lie Algebras

Xu introduced a family of root-tree-diagram nilpotent Lie algebras of differential operators, in connection with evolution partial differential equations. We generalized his notion to more general oriented tree diagrams. These algebras are natural analogues of the maximal nilpotent Lie subalgebras of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras. In this article, we use Hodge Laplacian to study the cohomology of these Lie algebras. The “total rank conjecture” and “b ₂-conjecture” for the algebras are proved. Moreover, we find the generating functions of the Betti numbers by means of Young tableaux for the Lie algebras associated with certain tree diagrams of single branch point. By these functions and Euler–Poincaré principle, we obtain analogues of the denominator identity for finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras. The result is a natural generalization of the Bott's classical result in the case of special linear Lie algebras.

Finite-Dimensional Irreducible Modules for the Three-Point 2 Loop Algebra

Recently Brian Hartwig and the second author found a presentation for the three-point ₂ loop algebra by generators and relations. To obtain this presentation they defined a Lie algebra ? by generators and relations, and displayed an isomorphism from ? to the three-point ₂ loop algebra. In this article, we describe the finite-dimensional irreducible ?-modules from multiple points of view.

Let n ≥ 4. The complex Lie algebra, which is attached to the unit form q(x1, x2,..., xn)■ and defined by generators and generalized Serre relations, is proved to be a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra of type Dn, and realized by the Ringel-Hall Lie algebra of a Nakayama algebra. As its application of the realization, we give the roots and a Chevalley basis of the simple Lie algebra.     

Derivations of the Even Part of Finite-Dimensional Simple Modular Lie Superalgebra M

Let F be the underlying base field of characteristic p > 3 and denote by M the even part of the finite-dimensional simple modular Lie superalgebra M. In this paper, the generator sets of the Lie algebra M which will be heavily used to consider the derivation algebra Der(M) are given. Furthermore, the derivation algebra of M is determined by reducing derivations and a torus of M, i.e.,As a result, the derivation algebra of the even part of M does not equal the even part of the derivation superalgebra of M.     

The Lie Algebras in which Every Subspace s Its Subalgebra

In this paper, we study the Lie algebras in which every subspace is its subalgebra (denoted by HB Lie algebras). We get that a nonabelian Lie algebra is an HB Lie algebra if and only if it is isomorphic to g+Cidg, where g is an abelian Lie algebra. Moreover we show that the derivation algebra and the holomorph of a nonabelian HB Lie algebra are complete.     

一类模李代数的导子代数(英文)

本文通过构造一类模线状李代数,求出了它的导子代数,并且证明这个导子代数是可解但不完备的模李代数.这将有利于研究一般模线状李代数的结构.     

素特征的“李定理”

Finite-dimensional solvable Lie algebras generated by normal operators are commutative

It is proved that any finite-dimensional solvable Lie algebra generated by normal operators is commutative, and some other related results are given.     

Refinement of Ado's Theorem in Low Dimensions and Application in Affine Geometry

In this article, we construct a faithful representation with the lowest dimension for every complex Lie algebra in dimension ≤ 4. In particular, in our construction, in the case that the faithful representation has the same dimension of the Lie algebra, it can induce an étale affine representation with base zero which has a natural and simple form and gives a compatible left-symmetric algebra on the Lie algebra. Such affine representations do not contain any nontrivial one-parameter subgroups of translation.     

A Characterisation of Nilpotent Lie Algebras by Invertible Leibniz-Derivations

Jacobson proved that if a Lie algebra admits an invertible derivation, it must be nilpotent. He also suspected, though incorrectly, that the converse might be true: that every nilpotent Lie algebra has an invertible derivation. We prove that a Lie algebra is nilpotent if and only if it admits an invertible Leibniz-derivation. The proofs are elementary in nature and are based on well-known techniques. We only consider finite-dimensional Lie algebras over a fields of characteristic zero.     

Integration of locally exponential Lie algebras of vector fields

A locally convex Lie algebra is said to be locally exponential if it belongs to some local Lie group in canonical coordinates. In this note we give criteria for locally exponential Lie algebras of vector fields on an infinite-dimensional manifold to integrate to global Lie group actions. Moreover, we show that all necessary conditions are satisfied if the manifold is finite-dimensional connected and σ-compact, which leads to a generalization of Palais’ Integrability Theorem.
