Novel nickel‐copper modified pencil graphite electrode (Ni?Cu/PGE) was fabricated and used as non‐enzymatic sensor for glucose determination. Ni and copper were electrodeposited on PGE using cyclic voltammetry. Morphology and composition of the modified PGE electrode were characterized by field‐emission gun scanning electron microscopy (FEG‐SEM), energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDX) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR). Electrochemical oxidation of glucose was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry as well as by amperometry. Electrochemical measurements indicate that the Ni?Cu/PGE exhibits a high sensitivity of 2951 μA mM?1 cm?2, and a low detection limit of 0.99 μM which are, respectively, three times higher and twice lower than that on Ni/PGE prepared in the same conditions. Moreover, Ni?Cu/PGE exhibits a wider linear range from 1 to 10000 μM with a rapid response time within 2 s. Moreover, Ni?Cu/PGE showed a remarkable stability. The electrode was successfully applied for determination of glucose concentration in human blood without significant interference from potential endogenic interferents. The good applicability of the elaborated sensor made Ni?Cu/PGE promising for the development of effective and inexpensive non‐enzymatic glucose sensor.  相似文献

A graphite nanosheet (GNS)‐Nafion modified glassy carbon (GC) electrode was prepared and used for highly sensitive and selective determination of dopamine (DA). The GNS‐Nafion/GC electrode displayed excellent electrocatalytic activities towards DA and ascorbic acid (AA). The selective determination of DA was carried out successfully in the presence of AA by differential pulse voltammetry. High sensitivity (3.695 μA μM?1) and low detection limit (0.02 μM, S/N=3) for the DA detection were obtained. These good properties can be attributed to a large amount of edge plane defects presented on GNSs and the charge‐exclusion and concentration features of Nafion.  相似文献

The electrochemical sensor was developed for determination of methadone (MTD) using multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) modified pencil graphite electrode (MWCNT‐PGE). It was found that the oxidation peak current of MTD at the MWCNT‐PGE was greatly improved compared with that of the bare‐PGE. At the MWCNT‐PGE, well‐defined anodic peak of MTD was observed at about 0.7 V (in pH 7 solution). The influence of several parameters on the determination of MTD was investigated. At optimum experimental conditions, differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) was used for determination of MTD, which exhibited a linear calibration graph of Ip versus MTD concentration in the range of 0.1–15 µM with a correlation coefficient of 0.9992. The calculated detection limit for S/N = 3 was 87 nM. It has been shown that the peaks obtained for oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA), uric acid (UA) and MTD in their mixture could be well resolved by differential pulse voltammetry, permitting us to develop a sensitive and selective electrochemical sensor for determination of MTD in the presence of AA and UA. Finally, MWCNT‐PGE was used for determination of MTD in biological samples, such as human serum and urine, using the standard addition procedure and the results were quite promising.  相似文献

A novel nano-SnO2/graphite electrode has been prepared via polishing procedure to produce active and stable surface. The modified electrode resolves the overlapping voltammetric response of dopamine and ascorbic acid into two well-defined peaks by 230mV. The mechanism of discrimination of dopamine from ascorbic acid is discussed. Dopamine and ascorbic acid can be determined simultaneously with the modified electrode. The electrode shows good sensitivity, slectivity and stability.  相似文献

In this work, an economically viable, very low cost, indigenous, ubiquitously available electrochemical sensor based on bimetallic nickel and tungsten nanoparticles modified pencil graphite electrode (NiNP-WNP@PGE) was fabricated for the sensitive and selective detection of bisphenol A (BPA). The NiNP-WNP@PGE sensor was prepared by a facile electrochemical one step co-deposition method. The prepared nanocomposite was morphologically characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrochemically by cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The proposed sensor displayed high electrocatalytic activity towards electro-oxidation of BPA with one irreversible peak. The fabricated sensor displayed a wide detection window between 0.025 μM and 250 μM with a limit of detection of 0.012 μM. PGE sensor was successfully engaged for the detection of BPA in bottled water, biological, and baby glass samples.  相似文献

A simpe electrochemical sensor for detection of cholic acid (CA) was designed by modifying phosphomolybdate (PMo12) doped polypyrrole (PPy) film on glassy carbon electrode (PMo12‐PPy/GCE). The electrochemical behavior of CA on PMo12‐PPy/GCE was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and 0.5 order differential voltammetry. The results indicated that CA had high inhibitory activity toward the peak currents of PMo12‐PPy/GCE. The reduction peak currents were linearly related to the logarithmic value of the concentration of CA from 1.0×10?7 to 1.0×10?3 mol/L with a low detection limit of 1.0×10?8 mol/L. The developed sensor exhibited excellent sensitivity, selectivity and stability for detection of CA, and it could be successfully applied to detect the level of CA in the urine samples. Moreover, the response mechanism of CA on the PMo12‐PPy/GCE was discussed in detail.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviour of dopamine (DA) at a cleaned and alumina polished glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The CV studies revealed that alumina polished GCE (AGCE) shows an enhanced oxidation peak current response with 217 mV negative potential shift towards DA than that of cleaned GCE. The differential pulse voltammetry result shows that the AGCE detects the DA in the linear concentration ranges from 0.15 to 25.25 µmol L?1. The limit of detection was calculated as 0.046 µmol L?1 with a sensitivity of 3.74 µA µmol L?1 cm?2 for the determination of DA. The fabricated AGCE shows a satisfactory selectivity, practicality along with appreciable repeatability and reproducibility.  相似文献

This communication describes the determination of an essential amino acid, L ‐methionine (L ‐Met) in the presence of important interferents, ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA) at physiological pH using a glassy carbon electrode modified with an electropolymerized film of 3‐amino‐5‐mercapto‐1,2,4‐triazole (p‐AMTa). The bare glassy carbon electrode fails to show a voltammetric signal for L ‐Met in the presence of AA and UA at pH 7.2. However, the p‐AMTa electrode separates the voltammetric signals of AA, UA and L ‐Met with pronounced oxidation currents. The amperometric current of L ‐Met was increased linearly from 1.0×10?7 to 1×10?4 M and the detection limit was found to be 4.12×10?10 M (S/N=3).  相似文献

A new graphite composite electrode was constructed by mixing graphite powder with chromatography stationary phase, SE‐30, as the binder. The electrochemical behavior of the new electrode has been evaluated and compared with that of traditional carbon paste electrode (CPE). The proposed electrode provides a remarkable increase in the rate of electron transfer of biomolecules such as nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH), cysteine, ascorbic acid and catechol and shows a low surface fouling effects. The electrode shows highly promising results when used as an amperometic sensor for biocompounds such as NADH.  相似文献

In this study, we have carried out electrodeposition of tantalum (Ta) nanostructures on pencil lead electrode in non‐aqueous media at room temperature by applying a constant potential. The deposited Ta on pencil lead was examined for the catalytic effect regarding hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) reduction with voltammetry and amperometry. Ta/pencil lead electrode exhibited amperometric sensitivity of 0.317 μA mM−1 cm−2 and fast response time of 0.75 s, where selective detection of H2O2 was fulfilled without interruption from common electroactive biomaterials such as O2, uric acid, ascorbic acid, dopamine, acetamidophenol, and glucose. For practical applications, the dynamic concentration changes of H2O2 during catalase and glucose oxidase‐involved reactions, either eliminating or producing H2O2, were successfully traced in real time with as‐prepared electrode. From the kinetics study for catalase and glucose oxidase, we evaluated Michaelis constants (K mapp) as 7.8 mM for catalase and 37 mM for glucose oxidase, respectively.  相似文献

Hybrid composites ZnO/PANI were facily synthesized by a sonication process at room temperature. This procedure is non-expensive, time/energy saving and environmentally safe. The as-prepared ZnO/PANI were characterized by FTIR, UV-vis spectroscopies and SEM in order to investigate the structure and morphology of the studied composites. The samples were used to modify carbon paste electrode (CPE) in order to develop electrochemical biosensors (ZnO/PANI/CPE). The sensing properties of the nanoparticles were evaluated for dopamine, ascorbic acid and uric acid non-enzymatic detection. The effect of percentage of polyaniline in the composites and the effect of calcination on the biosensor's response were also examined in the present study. It was revealed that the existence of PANI in ZnO/PANI/CPE largely enhanced the electroactive surface area and therefore the sensitivity for electrochemical sensing. A good electrochemical behavior was noted for ZnO/40 wt% PANI-cal/CPE modified electrode toward DA, AA and UA oxidation. The electroactive surface area of the previously mentioned modified electrode (0.235 cm2) was two times higher than that of the bare electrode (0.117 cm2). The liner relationships between current intensities and concentrations were found to be 0.01–1.4 mM, 0.1–1.3 mM and 0.01–0.12 mM, with detection limit of 0.029 mM, 0.063 mM and 0.007 mM, for DA, AA and UA respectively. In the mixtures of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA) uric acid (UA) and glucose (Glu) the sensor showed high selectivity of DA with low interference of ascorbic acid by a current change of 14 %. The as-prepared ZnO/PANI/CPE biosensor displayed a good reproducibility and stability.  相似文献

This article describes the highly sensitive and selective determination of epinephrine (EP) using self‐assembled monomolecular film (SAMF) of 1,8,15,22‐tetraamino‐phthalocyanatonickel(II) (4α‐NiIITAPc) on Au electrode. The 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode was prepared by spontaneous adsorption of 4α‐NiIITAPc from dimethylformamide solution. The modified electrode oxidizes EP at less over potential with enhanced current response in contrast to the bare Au electrode. The standard heterogeneous rate constant (k°) for the oxidation of EP at 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode was found to be 1.94×10?2 cm s?1 which was much higher than that at the bare Au electrode. Further, it was found that 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode separates the voltammetric signals of ascorbic acid (AA) and EP with a peak separation of 250 mV. Using amperometric method the lowest detection limit of 50 nM of EP was achieved at SAMF modified electrode. Simultaneous amperometric determination of AA and EP was also achieved at the SAMF modified electrode. Common physiological interferents such as uric acid, glucose, urea and NaCl do not interfere within the potential window of EP oxidation. The present 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode was also successfully applied to determine the concentration of EP in commercially available injection.  相似文献

Platinum nanoflowers modified glassy carbon electrodes (PtNFs/GCE) was fabricated simply for lead determination in water samples. The modified electrodes were prepared by electrodeposition in hexachloroplatinic acid solution at constant potential. The influence of deposition time and potential on surface morphology, chemical composition, electrochemical properties of electrode were investigated. At ?0.2 V of potential and 150 s of deposition duration, platinum developed as nanoflower shape and scattered densely all over the glassy carbon surface, producing the largest electrochemically active surface areas. The highest differential pulse stripping voltammetry (DPSV) signal of lead was obtained by using the prepared electrode. Under optimized experimental condition of electrolyte, accumulation potential and time, the peak current was found to be linear proportion to lead concentration in range of 1 to 100 μg L?1 (slope=0.371) with a limit of detection of 0.398 μg L?1. The method has good repeatability and reproducibility with relative standard deviations of 1.47 % and 4.83 %, respectively. The modified PtNFs/GCE also demonstrated an excellent long‐term stability with only 9 % decrease in Pb peak current over 30 days. Moreover, the performance of the modified PtNFs/GCE in determination of Pb(II) in two industrial wastewaters was good agreement with data obtained by a graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) method.  相似文献

A fullerene‐C60‐modified gold electrode is employed for the determination of dopamine in the excess of ascorbic acid using square‐wave voltammetry. Based on its strong catalytic function towards the oxidation of dopamine and ascorbic acid, the overlapping voltammetric response of both the biomolecules at the bare electrode is resolved into two well‐defined voltammetric peaks with lowered oxidation potential and enhanced oxidation currents. Linear calibration curves for dopamine are obtained using square‐wave voltammetry over the concentration range 1 nM–5.0 μM in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.2 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9931 and the detection limit (3σ) is estimated to be 0.26×10?9 M. The interference studies showed that the presence of physiologically common interferents (i.e. uric acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, glucose and sodium chloride) negligibly affects the response of dopamine. The practical analytical utility of the method is illustrated by quantitative determination of dopamine in commercially available pharmaceutical formulation and human body fluids, viz. urine and blood plasma, without any preliminary treatment.  相似文献

Herein, a simple electrochemical sensor was fabricated for sensing Hg2+ ions by using electrochemically reduced p‐nitrobenzoic acid molecules modified (ERpNBA) glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The modified electrode was applied for the determination of Hg2+ ions by using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). Experimental parameters such as concentration of p‐nitrobenzoic acid used for electrode modification, pH, accumulation time and deposition potential used for the determination of Hg2+ ions were optimized. The strong interaction between the Hg2+ ions and the lone pair of electrons on the nitrogen atoms of ERpNBA molecules leads to highly selective adsorption of Hg2+ ions on the modified electrode. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the sensor showed higher sensitivity and very low detection limit for Hg2+ ions than other metal ions such as Cd2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions. The LOD for Hg2+ ions was 240 pM which is below the guideline value given by the World Health Organization and the earlier reports.  相似文献

5,11,17,23‐Tetra‐tert‐butyl‐25,26,27,28‐tetrakis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene ( 1 )has been used for the preparation of a graphite coated thorium ion‐selective electrode (Th4+‐ISE). The plasticized PVC membrane containing 30% PVC, 58% ortho‐nitrophenyloctylether (NPOE), 4% sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) and 8% ionophore was directly coated on a graphite rod. This sensor gave good Nernstian responses with a slope of 15.5 ± 0.1 mV/decade over a concentration range of 1 × 10?5 ?1 × 10?3 M of thorium ions with a limit of detection of 7.9 × 10?6 M. The dynamic response time of the electrode to achieve a steady potential was found to be about 15 seconds. The potential of the prepared sensor was independent of the pH variation in the range 2.3–4.0. The selectivity relative to several mono‐, di‐ and tri‐valent metal ions, i.e. Li+, Na+, K+, Ag+, NH4+, Sr2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, La3+, Sm3+, Dy3+, Er3+ and Y3+ was examined. This electrode can be used for 6 months without any considerable divergences in the potential response. The sensor was successfully used as an indicator electrode for the potentiometric titration of a thorium solution using a standard solution of EDTA.  相似文献

Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs ) were prepared by a simple, convenient, and cost‐effective wet chemical method using the biopolymer starch. The prepared ZnO NPs were characterized by X‐ray diffraction (XRD ), scanning electron microscopy (SEM ), energy‐dispersive X‐ray (EDX ), Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR ), and UV ‐visible spectroscopic techniques. The average crystallite size calculated from XRD data using the Debye–Scherer equation was found to be 15 nm. The electrochemical behavior of caffeine (CAF ) was studied using a glassy carbon electrode (GCE ) modified with zinc oxide nanoparticles by cyclic voltammetry (CV ) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV ). Compared to unmodified GCE , ZnO NPs‐ modified GCE (ZnO NPs MGCE ) exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity towards CAF oxidation, which was evident from the increase in the peak current and decrease in the peak potential. Electrochemical impedance study suggested that the charge‐transfer capacity of GCE was significantly enhanced by ZnO NPs . The linear response of the peak current on the concentrations of CAF was in the range 2–100 μM . The detection limit was found to be 0.038 μM. The proposed sensor was successfully employed for the determination of CAF in commercial beverage samples.  相似文献

In this work, an electrochemical sensor based on Ni3S2 nanoparticles supported on porous ball‐milled silicon was fabricated for measuring glucose. At first, the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface was modified by Ni3S2 nanoparticles supported on a porous ball‐milled silicon substrate. To characterize the modified electrode, N2 adsorption‐desorption isotherms and BHJ, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDX), elemental mapping and X‐ray diffraction (XRD) were used. In the following, the effective parameters on the sensor response such as pH, NaOH concentration, catalyst concentration, applied potential, and rotational speed of the electrode were optimized using cyclic voltammetric (CV) and hydrodynamic amperometric methods. Under the optimal conditions, the calibration curve was plotted using the hydrodynamic amperometric method. Three linear regions were obtained from 0.5–134, 134–1246, and 1246–3546 μM, with a detection limit of 0.2 μM for glucose. Finally, the proposed method was used for measuring glucose levels in human blood serums.  相似文献
