??This paper considers the expected penalty functions for a discrete semi-Markov risk model, which includes several existing risk models such as the compound binomial model (with time-correlated claims) and the compound Markov binomial model (with time-correlated claims) as special cases. Recursive formulae and the initial values for the discounted free penalty functions are derived in the two-state model by an easy method. We also give some applications of our results.  相似文献

We present a Fourier transform representation of the generalized gamma functions, which leads to a distributional representation for them as a series of Dirac-delta functions. Applications of these representations are shown in evaluation of the integrals of products of the generalized gamma function with other functions. The results for Euler’s gamma function are deduced as special cases. The relation of the generalized gamma function with the Macdonald function is exploited to deduce new identities for it.  相似文献

We construct an analog of the classical theta function on an abelian variety for the Kodaira-Thurston nilmanifold, which is defined as a (nonholomorphic) section of a special complex line bundle over the Kodaira-Thurston manifold. The theta functions we introduce are used for a canonical symplectic embedding of the Kodaira-Thurston manifold into a complex projective space (an analog of the Lefschetz theorem).  相似文献

In this paper we consider linear porous-thermoelasticity systems, in a bounded domain, where the memory-type damping is acting on a part of the boundary. We establish a general decay result, for which the usual exponential and polynomial decay rates are just special cases. Our work allows certain relaxation functions which are not necessarily of exponential or polynomial decay and, therefore, generalizes and improves on earlier results from the literature.  相似文献

Burnside asked questions about periodic groups in his influential paper of 1902. The study of groups with exponent six is a special case of the study of the Burnside questions on which there has been significant progress. It has contributed a number of worthwhile aspects to the theory of groups and in particular to computation related to groups. Finitely generated groups with exponent six are finite. We investigate the nature of relations required to provide proofs of finiteness for some groups with exponent six. We give upper and lower bounds for the number of sixth powers needed to define the largest 2-generator group with exponent six. We solve related questions about other groups with exponent six using substantial computations which we explain.  相似文献

We give a combinatorial rule for calculating the coefficients in the expansion of a product of two factorial Schur functions. It is a special case of a more general rule which also gives the coefficients in the expansion of a skew factorial Schur function. Applications to Capelli operators and quantum immanants are also given.

In this paper we obtain some results about general conformal iterated function systems. We obtain a simple characterization of the packing dimension of the limit set of such systems and introduce some special systems which exhibit some interesting behavior. We then apply these results to the set of values of real continued fractions with restricted entries. We pay special attention to the Hausdorff and packing measures of these sets. We also give direct interpretations of these measure theoretic results in terms of the arithmetic density properties of the set of allowed entries.

It is known that any two graphs from are homotopic in the sense that one can be obtained from the other by a series of simple two-edge switches so that every intermediate graph is in . Let denote the set of simple graphs having at most k components. A natural question arises whether it is possible to extend the above homotopy result on the class , and in particular, whether it is possible to obtain a connected simple graph from another connected simple graph of the same degree function by a series of two edge switches preserving connectivity. In this paper we give an answer to this question. We also consider two-edge switches of a special type and single out some classes of graphs for which these special operations provide the corresponding homotopy between its members.  相似文献

We consider the extended linear complementarity problem (XLCP), of which the linear and horizontal linear complementarity problems are two special cases. We reformulate the XLCP to a smooth equation by using some smoothing functions and propose a Levenberg–Marquardt method to solve the system of smooth equation. The global convergence and local superlinear convergence rate are established under certain conditions. Numerical tests show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

We study a generalized coupled inhomogeneous Emden–Fowler system from the Lagrangian formulation standpoint. A special case of this system was considered in the literature, and necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of multiple positive solutions were obtained. Here we perform preliminary Noether classification of the generalized system by the direct method. We obtain nine cases for which the system has Noether point symmetries. First integrals are then obtained for the cases which admit Noether point symmetries.  相似文献
