The excitation of the proton into undetected multiparticle states (double diffraction dissociation) is an important background to single diffractive deep-inelastic processesepe′p′ρ 0,e′p′J/ψ,e′p′X at HERA. We present estimates of the admixture of the double diffraction dissociation events in all diffractive events. We find that in theJ/ψ photoproduction, electroproduction of theρ 0 at largeQ 2 and diffraction dissociation of real and virtual photons into high mass statesX the contamination of the double diffraction dissociation can be as large as ∼30%, thus affecting substantially the experimental tests of the pomeron exchange in deep inelastic scattering at HERA. We discuss a possibility of tagging the double diffraction dissociation by neutrons observed in the forward neutron calorimeter. We present evaluations of the spectra of neutrons and efficiency of neutron tagging based on the experimental data for diffractive processes in the protonproton collisions.  相似文献

用DS3C模型计算了入射能为32.5, 36.5, 40.7 eV时电子入射单电离氦原子的二重微分散射截面, 并把计算结果与实验结果进行了比较, 对屏蔽效应进行了分析. 通过对二重微分散射截面在全空间的角度积分得到了电子入射单电离氦原子的单微分散射截面, 利用3C模型和DS3C模型计算了入射能为32.5, 36.5, 40.7, 50 eV时氦原子的单微分散射截面, 并把计算结果与实验结果进行了比较. 对截面的结构进行了分析, 并系统研究了交换效应对截面的贡献. 关键词: DS3C模型 二重微分散射截面 单微分散射截面 屏蔽效应  相似文献

We use a model which accounts for dissipation and statistical fluctuations to compute the double differential cross sectiond 2σ/dθdE. The calculation is performed for the 388 MeV Ar + Th system. The typical experimental pattern of the cross section versus angle and energy is reproduced.  相似文献

The angular distributions of 26.5 MeV neutrons scattered elastically by deuterons between 90° and 166° (C.M.) were measured by using charged particle telescopes. The absolute n-d cross section ( of ≈ 5% precision ) was obtained by normalizing to the precision n-p cross section. Within the errors, the magnitude of the minimum cross section was found to be in agreement with that of the proton-deuteron differential cross section at the same energy and in disagreement with some recent results.  相似文献

A novel model is proposed to study the ionization of atomic hydrogen by fast election impact in coplanar asymmetric geometry making use of the post form of the transition matrix element for the energy shell and the two-potential formula. Based on the approximation of projectile plane waves and three-body problems, the transition matrix element is decomposed into two parts: the structure and scattering factor and the correlation factor. The contributions of these factors to triple differential cross sections are investigated using the method of asymptotic and convergent series.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate double ionization in high-energy Compton scattering from the He-atom including both the shake-off mechanism and a perturbative correction to that mechanism. The correction is calculated in second-order perturbation theory and includes Coulomb electron-electron interaction in addition to the correlation in the ground state of the He-atom. Our calculations for the ratio of double to single cross section cover the range from 30 to 300 keV of impact photon energy and explain the slow convergence of the ratio towards the asymptotic value.  相似文献

The spectra of Ti Kα X-rays induced by He, C, N and O ions were measured with the use of a Bragg crystal spectrometer. The ratios of the integrated hypersatellite to diagram-plus-satellite X-ray yields were obtained. The previously obtained data on Cr, Fe and Ni Kα X rays induced by N ions were also analysed. It is found that the double K-shell vacancy production cross section is proportional to Z41.  相似文献

基于差分吸收光谱算法,使用卫星数据反演大气NO2和SO2等痕量气体柱浓度的时候,Ring效应是影响反演结果精度的一个重要因素。Ring效应是指:受太阳表面大气消光效应影响,产生称之为夫琅禾费线的暗线结构,而由于太阳光在地球大气中传输引起非弹性散射,导致观测到的夫琅禾费线变短,这个结果可以近似地认为是对夫琅禾费线的填充。研究表明,大气中的N2和O2分子的转动拉曼散射是导致Ring效应的主要原因。利用星载传感器OMI/AURA测量的太阳光谱和N2和O2分子的转动拉曼散射截面卷积,除以原始太阳光谱,再经过差分计算,可以获得Ring效应的差分截面,以用来反演痕量气体的浓度。计算的结果与利用辐射传输方程得到的结果比较,相关系数R2达到了0.9663,表明二者基本是一致的。  相似文献

A simple equation is derived for use in reconstructing the scattering potential from the angular distribution of scattered particles at a given energy. This equation is useful in the classical approximation of small angles and in the semiclassical quantum-mechanical treatment. Experimental data and this equation are used to reconstruct the interaction potentials for the scattering of helium, neon, and argon ions by atoms from the same group in various combinations, at 25, 50, and 100 keV. The simplicity of the equation allows potentials to be found at distances larger than were found previously by Everhart and Lane and with a smaller error in the approximate numerical calculations.Translated from Izvestiya VUZ. Single differential (SDCS) and total (TCS) cross sections are calculated for the single ionization process of a helium atom by positron impact in the intermediate and high energy range (50–300 eV). To study the charge asymmetry, cross sections for electron impact ionization are also presented for comparison with the positron data. The TCS results for positron impact have been compared with existing measurements. A good agreement is noted in the high energy regime ( 100–300 eV).  相似文献

The helicity components σ 1/2 and σ 3/2 of the cross section for double charged-pion production by real photons on a nucleon are calculated within a phenomenological approach developed previously. A high sensitivity of the σ 1/2σ 3/2 asymmetry to the contribution of nucleon resonances having strongly different electromagnetic helicity amplitudes A 1/2 and A 3/2 is demonstrated. Experimental evidence of two photon absorption in NADH coenzyme at ruby frequency is reported. The γ2 non linear two photon cross section has been measured by means of two different experimental methods. The high absolute value found (γ2 = 3.4 x 10-48cm4s) confirms that the reaction rate modifications of NADH under laser irradiation are due to non-linear absorption processes.  相似文献

用公认精确的密耦近似方法计算了入射能量从25至150 meV时,He原子与基态BH分子碰撞的弹性微分截面、非弹性微分截面和总微分截面,进一步讨论了微分截面的变化趋势及特征.计算结果表明:He-BH碰撞体系的总微分截面具有原子与双原子分子散射的一般规律和特征;随着入射能量的增加,低转动激发态-态微分截面在大角区的散射振荡现象会更加明显. 关键词: He-BH复合物 相互作用势 密耦近似 微分截面  相似文献
