Extraction of gold(III) with (RS)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,4-dimethyl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)-pentan-3-ol from 3 M hydrochloric acid solutions (with chloroform as a diluent) has been studied. Optimal extraction conditions have been found. The reagent has been shown to extract efficiently metal ion from solutions containing 3 M hydrochloric acid due to formation of coordination bond between gold(III) and the N4 atom of the triazole ring. The coordination mechanism of gold(III) extraction has been proposed on the basis of the data obtained. Concentration constants of extraction have been calculated, and the thermodynamic parameters of extraction have been determined.  相似文献

The stability of gold solutions was studied over the concentration range of 0.41-258 ppm at acidities ranging from 6M hydrochloric acid to pH 1, the solutions being stored in glass-stoppered borosilicate bottles. The best conditions were found to be 12-258 ppm solutions at pH 0-2, for which the loss of gold was 4% or less over a period of 400 days.  相似文献

A continuous hydride-generation atomic-absorption spectrometric method for determining approximately 0.02 mug/g or more of antimony in ores, concentrates, rocks, soils and sediments is described. The method involves the reduction of antimony(V) to antimony(III) by heating with hypophosphorous acid in a 4.5M hydrochloric acid-tartaric acid medium and its separation by filtration, if necessary, from any elemental arsenic, selenium and tellurium produced during the reduction step. Antimony is subsequently separated from iron, lead, zinc, tin and various other elements by a single cyclohexane extraction of its xanthate complex from approximately 4.5M hydrochloric acid/0.2M sulphuric acid in the presence of ascorbic acid as a reluctant for iron(III). After the extract is washed, if necessary, with 10% hydrochloric acid-2% thiourea solution to remove co-extracted copper, followed by 4.5M hydrochloric acid to remove residual iron and other elements, antimony(III) in the extract is oxidized to antimony(V) with bromine solution in carbon tetrachloride and stripped into dilute sulphuric acid containing tartaric acid. Following the removal of bromine by evaporation of the solution, antimony(V) is reduced to antimony(III) with potassium iodide in approximately 3M hydrochloric acid and finally determined by hydride-generation atomic-absorption spectrometry at 217.8 nm with sodium borohydride as reluctant. Interference from platinum and palladium, which are partly co-extracted as xanthates under the proposed conditions, is eliminated by complexing them with thiosemicarbazide during the iodide reduction step. Interference from gold is avoided by using a 3M hydrochloric acid medium for the hydride-generation step. Under these conditions gold forms a stable iodide complex.  相似文献

The extraction of copper(II) from strongly acidic solution (0.01-8M hydrochloric and 0.01-5M nitric acid) with ammonium 1-pyrrolidinecarbodithioate in di-isobutyl ketone has been studied. Compared with the hydrochloric acid system, a considerably larger amount of the reagent is needed for complete extraction of copper chelate from nitric acid solution as the extract is more unstable in the nitric acid system. The decomposition of copper chelates extracted from nitric acid is based on the oxidation of the reagent and the chelate; the spectral change of the extract from nitric acid suggests that the copper(II) chelate is initially oxidized to copper(II) and then decomposes. The upper limit of the acidity of both acids from which the copper chelate can be quantitatively extracted strongly depends on the reagent concentration; the limit with 8 x 10(-2)M APCD (500-fold reagent: metal molar ratio) was taken as 8 and 4M for hydrochloric and nitric acid, respectively.  相似文献

The work deals with the extraction of thorium or uranium from hydrochloric, perchloric, sulphuric or nitric acid solutions of various concentrations, or from mixed acid solutions, by means of isobutyl methyl ketone. When the extraction is made from 5-8M hydrochloric acid that is 10M in lithium chloride or from 7-8M hydrochloric acid that is 1M in magnesium chloride, uranium is extracted quantitatively (>99%), whereas thorium is hardly extracted at all.  相似文献

N-n-octylaniline in xylene is used for the extractive separation of gold(III) from halide media. Gold(III) was extracted quantitatively with 10 ml of 2% reagent in xylene from 0.5-10 M and 0.5-8 M hydrochloric acid and hydrobromic acid, respectively. It was stripped from the organic phase with ammonia buffer solution (pH 10.1) and estimated spectrophotometrically with stannous chloride. The effect of metal ion, acids, reagent concentration and of various foreign ions has been investigated. Method is applicable to the analysis of synthetic mixtures containing platinum metals and alloy samples. The method is fast, accurate and precise.  相似文献

N-n-Octylaniline in xylene is used for extractive separation of tellurium(IV) from hydrochloric acid media. Tellurium(IV) is extracted quantitatively with the 3% reagent in xylene from 5.5 to 7.5 M hydrochloric acid. It is stripped from organic phase with 1:1 ammonia and estimated spectrophotometrically with pyrimidine-2-thiol (4'-bromoPTPT). The effects of metal ion, acids, reagent concentration, diluents and various foreign ions have been investigated. The log-log plots of distribution ratio (D(Te(IV))) versus N-n-octylaniline concentration indicate that the nature of extracted species is [(RR'NH(2)(+))(2) TeCl(6)(2-)](org). The method affords binary separation of tellurium(IV) from gold(III), selenium(IV), bismuth(III), copper(II), lead(II), antimony(III), germanium(IV) and is applicable to the analyses of synthetic mixture containing associated metal ions and alloy samples. The method is simple, selective, rapid and accurate.  相似文献

The reversed-phase extraction chromatographic separation of selenium(IV) and tellurium(IV) from several elements with trioctylphosphine oxide as extractant is reported. Selenium was extracted from 6M hydrochloric acid containing 7M lithium chloride was stripped with 4M hydrochloric acid, and tellurium was extracted from either the same medium as selenium or from 4M hydrochloric acid, and stripped with 1-2M hydrochloric acid. Selenium and tellurium can be separated from multicomponent mixtures.  相似文献

The distribution of iron(III) between aqueous hydrochloric acid and 0.1M 2-hexylpyridine in benzene was examined as a function of acid concentration in the aqueous solution, the metal concentration being kept constant, and as a function of increasing ferric chloride concentration at a constant acidity of hydrochloric acid. The distribution coefficient of Fe(III) (tracer) is dependent on the square of the 2-hexylpyridine concentration in the benzene phase. Negatively charged complexes of the type FeCl(2-)(5) may be the species extracted. The formation of a mixture of 1:1 and 1:2 complexes with 2-hexylpyridine is indicated. Salting-out effects of a number of salts have been investigated. Separation factors of several metal ions relative to iron(III) in 7M hydrochloric acid are also reported. The results indicate that iron(III) can be selectively separated from a large number of elements, and the method has been utilized for the preconcentration of non-ferrous metal ions in mild steels by selective separation of iron, before their subsequent determination by emission spectrometry.  相似文献

The decomposition of the bis(1-pyrrolidinedithiocarbamato) copper(II) complex [Cu(PCD)(2)] extracted into isobutyl methyl ketone (IBMK) and di-isobutyl ketone (DIBK) from hydrochloric acid solution (0.01-8M) has been studied with UV-visible and ESR spectrometry. The mixed-ligand complex CuCl(PCD) is formed as an intermediate and CuCl(2) or CuCl3(-)(3), are formed as final products, in the decomposition of Cu(PCD)(2). The concentration of free hydrochloric acid dissolved in the extract has also been determined, and the effect of the free acid on the decomposition has been studied. The decomposition reaction of Cu(PCD)(2) extracted from hydrochloric acid solution can be thought of as a ligand substitution by Cl(-), and occurs with both IBMK and DIBK extraction.  相似文献

The distribution of chromium(VI) between 5-(4-pyridyl)nonane in benzene and hydrochloric acid media has been studied as a function of the concentration of the acid, extractant, chromium(VI), chloride and a few other ions. The extraction mechanism and the composition of the extracted complexes of Cr(VI) have been proposed. The separation of Cr(VI) from uranium, thorium and fission products in 3M hydrochloric acid has been achieved.  相似文献

The behaviour of gold and elements impeding its x-ray fluorescence spectrometric (XRF) determination, namely zinc, lead and arsenic, was studied during their extraction from hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and aqua regia solutions using tributyl phosphate as a solid extractant [SE(TBP)]. Extraction of gold from pulps after aqua regia leaching was found to be the most favourable approach for the quantitative and selective recovery of gold. The gold distribution ratio, DAu, is ca. 104 ml g?1. For extraction from hydrochloric acid solutions the DAu value also exceeds 104 in the whole range of gold concentrations studied (10?8?10?4 M), but it decreases substantially with increasing extraction temperature, from 5 × 105 ml g?1 at 20°C to 9 × 103 ml g?1 at 70°C. An anomalously high distribution ratio of lead, DPb ≈ 103 ml g?1, was observed during extraction from hydrochloric solutions in the presence of chlorine. This could be explained by the formation of the chloro complexes of lead(IV). An XRF method for the determination of gold in natural samples was developed, which includes back-extraction of gold from SE(TBP) using a hot 0.025 M thiourea solution, providing a thin sample layer for secondary XRF. For 25 g of sample material the limit of determination is 10 ng g?1 (10?6%). The accuracy of the technique was checked using different reference materials. The results agreed within 10%.  相似文献

A water-insoluble chelating material, p-dimethylaminobenzylidenerhodanine on silica gel (DMABR—SG) is described for preconcentration of trace amounts of silver(I), gold(III) and palladium(II) from water samples. Radioactive tracers (110mAg and 195Au) were used to study the behavior of silver and gold; palladium was monitored spectrophotometrically as its 1-(2-pyridylazo)naphthol complex in chloroform. In batch experiments, silver was quantitatively retained on the DMABR—SG at acidities ranging from 1.7 M to pH 5, and gold from 3 M to pH 5; equilibrium was achieved within 1 min for both elements. From sea water, silver ion was completely retained at pH 1.0–6.5 and gold ion at pH 1.0–3.5. In the case of palladium, shaking for about 20 min was required for quantitative retention at pH 1.0–5.0 for aqueous solution and at pH 1.0–7.0 for sea water. The chelating capacity of the DMABR—SG was 23 μmol Ag, 11 μmol Au and 11 μmol Pd per g. Quantitative recovery of silver and gold on DMABR—SG columns from sea water was achieved at higher flow rates (1–2 l h-1 and 2–3 l h-1, respectively) than with other chelating resins, e.g., Chelex 100, palladium required slower flow rate (150 ml h-1). Silver retained on the DMABR—SG column was completely eluted with 20 ml of 2.5% sodium thiosulfate solution but palladium remained on the column. Silver, gold and palladium were quantitatively eluted with 20 ml of 0.1% thiourea in 0.1 M hydrochloric acid.  相似文献

Dithizone immobilized on XAD-4 resin has been studied as a sensor element of an optical sensor for lead using a flow-cell. Using this arrangement, lead in solution has been determined in the concentration range 1 x 10(-5)-3 x 10(-7)M with a detection limit of 1 x 10(-8)M(i.e., 2 mug/l.). The standard deviation of the method for the measurement of lead at a concentration of 1 x 10(-6)M was found to be 7%. The response of the sensor was reproducible and can be regenerated using 0.01M hydrochloric acid followed by citrate-hydroxylamine solution.  相似文献

A novel method is developed for the reversed-phase extractive chromatographic separation of niobium and tantalum with bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid. Niobium is extracted from 1-10M hydrochloric acid and can be stripped with 3M sulphuric acid containing 2% hydrogen peroxide. Tantalum is extracted from 0.1-2M hydrochloric acid and can be stripped with 0.1M hydrochloric acid containing 2M tartaric acid. It is possible to separate niobium and tantalum, in different ratios, from multicomponent mixtures.  相似文献

A method for determining approximately 0.2 microg/g or more of germanium in ores, concentrates, zinc-processing products and related materials is described. The sample is decomposed by fusion with sodium peroxide and the cooled melt is dissolved in dilute sulphuric acid. Silica, if > 50 mg, is removed by volatilization with hydrofluoric acid. Germanium is separated from sodium salts by co-precipitation with hydrous ferric oxide, the precipitate is dissolved in 3M hydrochloric acid and germanium is subsequently separated from iron(III) and other co-precipitated elements by a single heptane extraction of germanium tetrachloride from approximately 9.4M hydrochloric acid. The extract is washed with 12M hydrochloric acid to remove residual iron(III), then germanium is stripped with water and determined spectrophotometrically with phenylfluorone in a 1.4M hydrochloric acid-0.002M cetyltrimethylammonium bromide medium in the presence of ascorbic acid as a reductant for co-extracted chlorine. The apparent molar absorptivity of the complex is 1.71 x 10(4) l.mole(-1).mm(-1) at 507 nm, the wavelength of maximum absorption. Up to 5 mg of tin(IV), 10 mg of antimony(V) and tungsten(VI) and approximately 50 mg of silica do not interfere. Germanium values are given for some Canadian certified reference ores, concentrates and iron-formation samples and for a metallurgical dust.  相似文献

Pairs of elements with very small differences in their half-wave potentials were determined at trace levels by second harmonic a.c. anodic stripping voltammetry. The simultaneous determination of lead and thallium as well as that of bismuth and antimony in 1M hydrochloric acid as supporting electrolyte was found to be possible in the range of concentration ratios: 7:1 > or = C(Pb):C(Tl) > or = 1:36 and 45:1 > or = C(Sb):C(Bi) > or = 1:35, with <5 % relative error due to mutual interference. The limit of detection was approximately 10(-8)M for all four elements, and the precision and error were 2-3%. The simultaneous determination of these metals in mixtures with concentration ratios outside the quoted ranges is still feasible by the standard-addition technique.  相似文献

Experiments on extraction of gold(III) from hydrochloric acid solutions with isomeric aliphatic alcohols containing 6–12 carbon atoms showed that secondary alcohols recover AuCl4? from acid solutions with higher distribution ratios than primary alcohols do. The best alcohol that can be recommended for the extraction of gold(III) from 3–6 M HCl solutions, taking into account the solubility and extraction ability of alcohols, is 2-octanol. The possibility of efficient stripping of gold(III) from the 2-octanol phase with ammonia or thiourea solutions was demonstrated.  相似文献

Tervalent gold was determined spectrophotometrically as its anionic 1:4 gold-thiol complex extracted into chloroform from aqueous acidic medium (1.5M sulphuric acid) in the presence of tri-iso-octylamine. The complex exhibits maximum absorption at 480 nm (molar absorptivity 4.60 x 10(3) l.mole(-1).cm(-1)) and Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 5-50 microg of gold(III) per ml. The relative standard deviation and relative error, calculated from ten determinations of solutions containing 15 microg of gold(III) per ml were 1.0% and 0.8%. The method is simple, selective and reproducible. It permits separation of gold(III) from associated elements and its determination in synthetic mixtures.  相似文献
