We show that the lower limit of a sequence of maximal monotone operators on a reflexive Banach space is a representable monotone operator. As a consequence, we obtain that the variational sum of maximal monotone operators and the variational composition of a maximal monotone operator with a linear continuous operator are both representable monotone operators.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with a viscoelastic unilateral contact problem with normal damped response. The process is assumed to be dynamic and frictionless. Normal damping function is modeled by the Clarke subdifferential of a nonconvex and nonsmooth function. First, the variational formulation of this problem is provided in the form of a nonlinear first order variational–hemivariational inequality for the velocity field. Then, based on the surjectivity results for pseudomonotone and maximal monotone operators, we obtain the unique solvability for a new class of abstract evolutionary variational-hemivariational inequalities. Finally, we apply our abstract results to prove the existence of a unique weak solution to the corresponding contact problem.  相似文献

We propose splitting, parallel algorithms for solving strongly equilibrium problems over the intersection of a finite number of closed convex sets given as the fixed-point sets of nonexpansive mappings in real Hilbert spaces. The algorithm is a combination between the gradient method and the Mann-Krasnosel’skii iterative scheme, where the projection can be computed onto each set separately rather than onto their intersection. Strong convergence is proved. Some special cases involving bilevel equilibrium problems with inverse strongly monotone variational inequality, monotone equilibrium constraints and maximal monotone inclusions are discussed. An illustrative example involving a system of integral equations is presented.  相似文献

A new type of approximating curve for finding a particular zero of the sum of two maximal monotone operators in a Hilbert space is investigated. This curve consists of the zeros of perturbed problems in which one operator is replaced with its Yosida approximation and a viscosity term is added. As the perturbation vanishes, the curve is shown to converge to the zero of the sum that solves a particular strictly monotone variational inequality. As an off-spring of this result, we obtain an approximating curve for finding a particular zero of the sum of several maximal monotone operators. Applications to convex optimization are discussed.  相似文献

We study various error measures for approximate solution of proximal point regularizations of the variational inequality problem, and of the closely related problem of finding a zero of a maximal monotone operator. A new merit function is proposed for proximal point subproblems associated with the latter. This merit function is based on Burachik-Iusem-Svaiter’s concept of ε-enlargement of a maximal monotone operator. For variational inequalities, we establish a precise relationship between the regularized gap function, which is a natural error measure in this context, and our new merit function. Some error bounds are derived using both merit functions for the corresponding formulations of the proximal subproblem. We further use the regularized gap function to devise a new inexact proximal point algorithm for solving monotone variational inequalities. This inexact proximal point method preserves all the desirable global and local convergence properties of the classical exact/inexact method, while providing a constructive error tolerance criterion, suitable for further practical applications. The use of other tolerance rules is also discussed. Received: April 28, 1999 / Accepted: March 24, 2000?Published online July 20, 2000  相似文献

This paper studies a general vector optimization problem of finding weakly efficient points for mappings from Hilbert spaces to arbitrary Banach spaces, where the latter are partially ordered by some closed, convex, and pointed cones with nonempty interiors. To find solutions of this vector optimization problem, we introduce an auxiliary variational inequality problem for a monotone and Lipschitz continuous mapping. The approximate proximal method in vector optimization is extended to develop a hybrid approximate proximal method for the general vector optimization problem under consideration by combining an extragradient method to find a solution of the variational inequality problem and an approximate proximal point method for finding a root of a maximal monotone operator. In this hybrid approximate proximal method, the subproblems consist of finding approximate solutions to the variational inequality problem for monotone and Lipschitz continuous mapping, and then finding weakly efficient points for a suitable regularization of the original mapping. We present both absolute and relative versions of our hybrid algorithm in which the subproblems are solved only approximately. The weak convergence of the generated sequence to a weak efficient point is established under quite mild assumptions. In addition, we develop some extensions of our hybrid algorithms for vector optimization by using Bregman-type functions.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new iterative process for finding the common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping, the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the solutions of the variational inequality problem for two inverse-strongly monotone mappings. We introduce a new viscosity relaxed extragradient approximation method which is based on the so-called relaxed extragradient method and the viscosity approximation method. We show that the sequence converges strongly to a common element of the above three sets under some parametric controlling conditions. Moreover, using the above theorem, we can apply to finding solutions of a general system of variational inequality and a zero of a maximal monotone operator in a real Hilbert space. A noncooperative multiperson game can be associated with a mapping that generates a variational inequality. The problem of searching for Nash points in the game is equivalent to solving this inequality. Numerical methods for solving the variational inequality rely heavily on the monotonicity of the mapping generating the inequality. At the same time, the mapping associated with the noncooperative multiperson game may not be monotone. Necessary and sufficient conditions are established under which the mapping associated with a finite noncooperative mixed-strategy game of three or more persons is monotone.  相似文献

<正>This paper generalizes a class of projection type methods for monotone variational inequalities to general monotone inclusion. It is shown that when the normal cone operator in projection is replaced by any maximal monotone operator, the resulting method inherits all attractive convergence properties of projection type methods, and allows an adjusting step size rule.Weaker convergence assumption entails an extra projection at each iteration. Moreover, this paper also addresses applications of the resulting method to convex programs and monotone variational inequalities.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the study of solution stability of a parametric vector variational inequality, where mappings may not be strongly monotone. Under some requirements that the operator of a unperturbed problem is monotone or it satisfies degree conditions then we show that the solution map of a parametric vector variational inequality is lower semicontinuous.  相似文献

We consider a model describing the evolution of damage in visco-elastic materials, where both the stiffness and the viscosity properties are assumed to degenerate as the damaging is complete. The equation of motion ruling the evolution of macroscopic displacement is hyperbolic. The evolution of the damage parameter is described by a doubly nonlinear parabolic variational inclusion, due to the presence of two maximal monotone graphs involving the phase parameter and its time derivative. Existence of a solution is proved in some subinterval of time in which the damage process is not complete. Uniqueness is established in the case when one of the two monotone graphs is assumed to be Lipschitz continuous.  相似文献

The generalized parallel sum of two monotone operators via a linear continuous mapping is defined as the inverse of the sum of the inverse of one of the operators and with inverse of the composition of the second one with the linear continuous mapping. In this article, by assuming that the operators are maximal monotone of Gossez type (D), we provide sufficient conditions of both interiority- and closedness-type for guaranteeing that their generalized sum via a linear continuous mapping is maximal monotone of Gossez type (D), too. This result will follow as a particular instance of a more general one concerning the maximal monotonicity of Gossez type (D) of an extended parallel sum defined for the maximal monotone extensions of the two operators to the corresponding biduals.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce implicit and explicit iterative methods for solving a variational inequality problem over the set of zeros for a maximal monotone mapping in Hilbert spaces. As consequence, new modifications of the proximal point method are obtained.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to define a generalized monotone mapping, which is the sum of symmetric cocoercive mapping and symmetric monotone mapping. The resolvent operator associated with generalized monotone mapping is defined and some of its properties are shown. We solve a variational inclusion problem using these new concepts. For illustration, some examples are given.  相似文献

In this paper, the equivalence between variational inclusions and a generalized type of Weiner–Hopf equation is established. This equivalence is then used to suggest and analyze iterative methods in order to find a zero of the sum of two maximal monotone operators. Special attention is given to the case where one of the operators is Lipschitz continuous and either is strongly monotone or satisfies the Dunn property. Moreover, when the problem has a nonempty solution set, a fixed-point procedure is proposed and its convergence is established provided that the Brézis–Crandall–Pazy condition holds true. More precisely, it is shown that this allows reaching the element of minimal norm of the solution set.  相似文献

We present an evolution equation governed by a maximal monotone operator with exponential rate of convergence to a zero of the maximal monotone operator. When the maximal monotone operator is the subdifferential of a convex, proper, and lower semicontinuous function, we show that the trajectory of solutions of the evolution equation converges exponentially to the minimum value of the convex function.  相似文献

This paper deals with multivalued quasi variational inequalities with pseudo-monotone and monotone maps. The primary objective of this work is to show that the notion of generalized solutions can be employed to investigate multivalued pseudo-monotone quasi variational inequalities. It is a well-known fact that a quasi variational inequality can conveniently be posed as a fixed point problem through the so-called variational selection. For pseudo-monotone maps, the associated variational selection is a nonconvex map, and the fixed point theorems can only be applied under restrictive assumptions on the data of quasi variational inequalities. On the other hand, the generalized solutions are defined by posing a minimization problem which can be solved by a variant of classical Weierstrass theorem. It turns out that far less restrictive assumptions on the data are needed in this case. To emphasis on the strong difference between a classical solution and a generalized solution, we also give a new existence theorem for quasi variational inequalities with monotone maps. The main existence result is proved under a milder coercivity condition. We also relax a few other conditions from the monotone map. Due to its flexibility, it seems that the notion of generalized solutions can be employed to study quasi variational inequalities for other classes of maps as well.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to present an iterative scheme by a hybrid method for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping, the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for α-inverse-strongly monotone mappings in the framework of a Hilbert space. We show that the iterative sequence converges strongly to a common element of the above three sets under appropriate conditions. Additionally, the idea of our results are applied to find a zero of a maximal monotone operator and a strictly pseudocontractive mapping in a real Hilbert space.  相似文献
